Watching this like a bobblehead as I just nod in agreement with everything, lol lol lol 😂 Heat gun thermometers are great for checking reheated prey for snakes too! With pythons you want them body temp for their heat sensing pits, but also not too hot, so it's very helpful! Only five minutes in to the video, so I'm excited to see what the other 2/3 has in store! 🥰
@@ellesreptiles Haha, oh my word, yes! I just realized you must have an Instagram and instantly followed you! Thanks for the heart and pin, your channel is just the best! ❤️ You're the best 😂
I'll be getting a heating pad this weekend then, right now it stays above 70 at night, that's why I didn't get a ceramic heater when I bought my beardie, the guy at the store said it's not needed unless temps get down below 70 at night, I got the essentials to get me thru the week until next payday, I got water bowl, UVB light and basking light with fixtures, I got a leafy vine for him to climb on and have different layers under the basking light and I got a fabric reptile liner, I wasn't expecting to buy him, something pulled me towards the live animals and he perked right up when I walked by, and I've wanted a bearded dragon for a while, just never really thought about getting one, so whatever it was that made me want to go over there told me it's time 🤷🏻♂️ so I left with a leatherback morph fancy bearded dragon, and I have many fresh veggies for him, prickly pear cactus, mustard greens, green beans, of course dandelions, and there is never any kind of pesticide or anything used in my yard because of my garden and the beneficial insects I attract, I also have apples, blueberries, strawberries, black, red and golden raspberries growing, so I'm good on veggies, and I bought 100 mealworms, I know I've seen people say not to, but I've been watching a few breeders channels and most of them feed their beardies mealworms, and upon further research, I found out the chitan coating or however you say it, is actually a form of fiber, so it will actually help keep them regular, the conclusion I've come to is it's more a problem with dirt or sand substrates that cause impaction and other things, not the mealworms, I know I'm new, but I've done at least 8-9 hours of videos and quite a few hours of reading, and that's just my conclusion, I've had him for 4 days now and he's pooped once a day for the last 3 days
The shedding aid is super helpful! My new beardie had a shed that was persistently on their tail, and after spraying the tail one morning, the tail started shedding the very next day
I just use filtered water from my filtered water tap and I leave it overnight so the chlorine can evaporate but one of the things I don’t have is a temperature gun but I have alternatives to some of these like I use vinegar and water as a disinfectant
Vinegar and water is good to clean the tank/cage but flukers reptile safe organic scrub is also really helpful and it comes with a bristle soft scrub on the top to help clean your tank/cage.
I am super new to your channel and have been watching a ton of your videos with in the last few days and I am loving it! It is so informative and helpful. Also where are you from? I LOVE you slight southern accent!
Grow aloe (organically of course) or get 100% pure aloe extract if you can’t find shed ease add it to the water or on a q-tip and apply directly for stuck shed
This was super helpful! I had no idea there was a product that helps reptiles shed! I got my first gecko not long ago and he has a kind of knot at the end if his tail. I think he was just born with a little deformity. So the shed skin always gets stuck on it. 😢
I've been trying to decide if I want to do a FULL bioactive terrarium for my beardie or not I know i want to add some edible, hardy, easy to take care of plants in his terrarium.
Hi Elle 🖐 everyone in Beardie videos says to put BEE POLLEN on the "Greens". OK I 'd like to do that, but I'm having a problem finding it . I've looked on Amazon, but there are SO many different kinds, and forms that it comes in that now I am confused. Please HELP? 🐝
I have a small snail habitat with a few small yard snails in it and I have noticed that if I leave the same food in for about three days small white bugs start to appear and I was wondering if they could possibly be spring tails. They look like it but I don't know how they could just pop up out of nowhere.
I just got a pump spray bottle for christmas. It was so annoying spraying down my frog enclosure with a spray bottle and pressing it over n over n over and using up the whole bottle on a few animals in 2 days. 1 gallon spray bottles are certainly worth it.
I know this was a year ago but in case anyone else is reading, for any age bearded dragon it's best to just get a 4' x 2' x 2' (120 gallon) tank, preferably with a front open rather than a top. They'll need that size in a year or less and don't like to be approached from above.
Hello! I am getting a new corn snake very soon and I have its tank ready and I actually have three hides I have one in the cold side one in the hot side and I have a little cave one in the middle with moist moss inside, would that be a helpful shedding source for my snake? Also, should I buy a tank carpet or put newspaper on the tank before adding aspin? So my snake won’t come across the hot glass surface or do I not have to as long as the temperature on the glass surface is the right temperature?
I've never owned a chameleon, but I know they get stressed easily. So, I wouldn't bathe them unless absolutely necessary. Just misting them down (or having an automatic mister) should be sufficient 😊
Don’t forget to always have a pair of feeding tongs on hand. Never know when your animal will decide to have a mood swing and become a little aggressive 😊
Hey Davis! 😁 I haven't been able to get to anyone's live streams lately (if you guys have even been doing them?). Being quarantined with a house full of kiddos has been a bit hectic haha
Hey i know this is weird but i say that your new tank has a grout stain thats mostly removed, i just grouted my tank and i got grout on the back round. Do you have any suggestions on how to get it off?
I need absolute help naming mah two bearded dragons I am just so picky and stuck in my own tracks lol. I have babies and the oldest one is orange and the other is yellow 0-0 the orange one likes to eat and is fat while the other one is kinda quiet and fast and is adorable :3
I would recommend to use natural mineral water in bottles for us humans. Sink water has multible problems: 1. Chlorine very toxic, wont get out even with this "water purifier" drops 2. Medicine/drugs from us humans with our pee/sht wont get purified and still is in small quantity's in the water which will stack up over the time in the lizzard 3. Bacteria which is in the water pipes, watch some pictures how this pipes look from which we drink water🤮 Thats why I use natural packt spring water for my dragon, the same I drink myself👍

@@joaquinplantinga350 you can find a used solar meter 6.5 for about 150. Pretty reasonable IMO.

Haha yes!
Chlorhexidine is the best disinfectant. Mix 1:32 with water.

Yes! Same 😊
Awesome video! I definitely use my temp gun all the time!
Thank you 😁 and yes, I'm so glad I have one!
Add a solar meter to the list. Very important or you are just guessing and hoping the UVI is correct. It pays for itself over time.
Good day Lady Elle! What site can I order the stool sample kit and medicines?
I want to turn our leopard gecko tanks into bio tanks. If I have springtails do I have to have isopods too? Also what charcoal do you buy?

Do chameleons need baths as well??? I’ve heard people argue both ways and I don’t know if it’s worth the stress to try bathing mine.
I've seen people just mist them down very well for a while, so that the chameleon can move around and clean its eyeballs and such.
AnimalsByA Thank you so much, I’ll be sure to try that

I give baths and feed in the bins

So dechlorinate water? Basically water bottled or filtered?
Yep, either one! You can even leave tap water out (without a lid) for about 24 hours to naturally dechlorinate it 😊
