My understanding is that colt DOES absolutely hand fit these m45s that are from the custom shop. Slide to frame, barrel, tuned trigger, all from one of their master gun smiths from start to finish, all by hand. Also unlike colts other production 1911s, these m45s contain NO MIM parts and are all forged components which is pretty awesome. Beautiful gun, and will only go up in value and desirability! Great video!
I have one of the earlier blue box, desert tan cerakote guns. It's one of my favorite shooters. I actually like the looks of the desert tan, especially when there is a lot of soot around the barrel end.
I can hear the SA grip safety/beaver tail rattle around when you shake the pistol; my Rail Gun does the same thing. I seem to remember that your Rail Gun did that also. Keep up the good work.
I just got rid of a stainless 9mm colt rail 1911, It shot well but because the rail holster options for edc weren't so great, I ended up with the new 9mm combat commander
I have one in desert tan. I actually like the color. Its set up with a WC 10rd mag as my HD pistol. Did you carry yours at all? If so what holster did you use.
I have been carrying my m45 daily for the past year DARA holsters is what I've been using. They're one of the only holster manufacturers that offer a designated m45 concealment holster. Very happy with mine!
Nice pistol. I'm fairly certain that these came with an ambi-safety and a long trigger from the custom shop. Did you do work on this? Maybe the previous owner did?
hell no!!!!! do not even consider it!!!! granted I had sold one with the "USMC" marking that looked beat to hell and i was shocked at what people were willing to pay but that was strictly for collectibility for the buyer. Other than that these are nothing more than a slightly better production 1911 with "allure" around it.
@@smoothoperatorbrown4834 You are better served with a Springfield MC Operator or Sig Emperor Scorpion, the M45A1 all clout. Colt is not interested in making production pistols, they want to sell heirlooms and charge heirloom prices.
Nice 1911 from the o’l 1911 channel. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding! The pelican case looks just as sturdy as the firearm.

I hope CZ brings these back. Looks like something right up the Dan Wesson alley.
I just hope that they absorb Dan Wesson into the Colt brand rather than the reverse
@@wallaceavin7490 Never gonna happen. They're gonna operate independently, just like CZ & Dan Wesson do now.
You are better than me because you own that custom shop M45A1.
