I was sent one of these blued Colts and I sent it back because I order a stainless one and they sent me the wrong one however the pistol looked real nice! I should of kept it and got refunded some money back.
Very nice! I have the M45A1 and the Combat Unit 1911, both, in.45ACP. I love them. However, I'm considering selling the Combat Unit and getting the Classic 1911!
I bought a nice Colt Series 70 in the mid ‘80 for $300 . Very pretty but I hated it , couldn’t hit a barn door with it and it would only function with 230 gr hardball ammunition. I traded even for a S&W 25-2 in 45acp.
I think those blue steel Colt's are one of the most beautiful handgun ever made. Just classic.
I have one from 1972 with polished blue sides and matte blue on the top of the slide and underside of the frame. It's one of my favorite pistols. =)
I got one, I have changed out a few things. But it is my daily carry. Love it.
I have one of these I bought new in 2015. One of my favorites pistols for sure. 👍
Beautiful gun, just bought the exact same one. My first 1911, can't wait for it!
Colt discontinued that model last year. What I like about it is the blued barrel and barrel bushing and true A1 ejection port.

Got mine earlier this year Colt Traditional Classic. And I carry it sometimes!
I got mine back in 2007 about a few years after the 70 series reintroduced, mine is in the custom shop light blue box with white sleeve.
It's 2023, does Colt still use Forged Slides, Barrel, Frames?
Bought a 70 series Mark 4,1978..Wish I still had it,carried it in Jail service.
I have two of them one never fired !! FYI the ejection port is slightly lowered about 1/4 " compared to first & second generation..
