I am 55 and grew up my whole life with a family of Victorian homes and antiques so I can definitely appreciate an antique such as the desk that you got hate comments on but I also can appreciate a good piece of art put something to use don't keep trying to salvage something just because it's old but give it life again I think it would appreciate it all the more just as you've done. Great work on everything you do.😁❤️
Those first 3 pieces are familiar to me. The first was with that fan that you covered up. I wanted to cover shell-like on the front of my old dressers, but I chose to just paint and sell. I had to be rid of it in a hurry. Beadboard is amazing! I too did an old bookshelf that I got from my parents, used the “linen white” chalk paint-I love it! My in laws gave me their old dresser turned vanity-it’s a mess from the water! Wood isn’t made to handle water like that. I’m using it in our new bathroom in the basement, but I will put on a new countertop. I’ll never use just stained/sealed wood tops in a bathroom. I can’t wait to start selling my flips!
You are quite the go-getter! Love your slant on color choices, and eye for unique use for final product. REALLY aporeciate the quicker run-through, than dwelling on each.detail....my fav was the yellow bee cabinet!🐝👍😘
This is true...... but bear in mind in comments far too many folks are mean spirited AND rude when it comes to expressing personal opinions. We have no idea exactly what she is referring to specifically. I have a friend who paints furniture and is regularly referred to with profanity. That is by definition a hater.

I tend to completely over think things and thus far have only "gifted" my pieces to willing family members. How did you first sell your pieces and using what routes? FB ? Marketplace? Aww thank you! 😊 I can overthink some of my projects too and sometimes it’s takes weeks to finally finish a piece. I sell mostly on Facebook Marketplace although I have sold a couple things through the app OfferUp. I haven’t ventured into selling online and shipping but I hope to in the future. I sell most everything on Facebook marketplace. I have used OfferUp but haven’t had much success on there. I may try selling on Esty soon. I have a semi valuable MCM record cabinet that I will be finishing up soon and I want to try listing it on Etsy.
@@JessObie I am a retired commercial artist and I love refurbishing old furniture. I was thinking about painting little scenes on the tops or fronts of some of the furniture. IE: I live on a beach own, so like lighthose scenes, etc.!
