I’m with you 100% on the wood grain. Every time I see someone paint over a piece of furniture that is made of quality wood with a beautiful grain pattern, I die a little inside. 😧😉
Gorgeous! Wow! You are definitely making the world a better more beautiful place! You are so talented and creative! Love what you made! Love the grains and colors and patterns! Thank you so much for sharing your gift!
I absolutely love the work you do. I follow a ton of furniture flippers, and enjoy watching all of them, but there are about 5 furniture flippers on RUclips, including you, who are leaps and bounds above the rest in my book. I find them incredibly inspiring. The difference to me is that I can tell they are not just doing it for the RUclips views or for the flipping money. There's a true passion for the pieces and a love of wood. In fact, I would say that you are not a furniture flipper, you are a furniture artist. I have always loved wood. I'm the weirdo whose favorite colors are brown and green. This is because I love trees. I find them to be the most beautiful thing in nature, and in my opinion, there's nothing more stunning than bringing nature into your home. I appreciate that you share with us a breakdown of your costs and profit. I also appreciate the way you teach. I find your videos calming and therapeutic.
So glad this popped up for me today. Ive been watching a lot of furniture flip videos & while most look great theres a part of me that cringes every time another coat of paint hides some wood grain. Nice to see someone is doing something differently. 👍
I just found your channel today. Amazing! My father rebuilt and refinished instruments for a living, 90% of which were pianos. He started out as a piano tuner/technician so it seemed a natural transition. But when there was a drought of work to do, he would perform furniture flips. He was a master! He would have to replace whole sections of wood sometimes with a different species than the original piece, and then have to hand paint the wood grain onto the replacement piece to match the original. This of course was long before wood gaining tools, which wouldn't work anyway with many gains, such as curly maple, for example. If he were around today, he would definitely call you an artist! I certainly do. You do beautiful work and your are an inspiration! Keep going, and thank you very much for sharing your talent with the world.
I have my Grandmother's mid century bedroom furniture (two bed tables and one tall chest of drawers and one long dresser) and I am so inspired to do something along these lines with them. This would look so amazing. And with your instruction I think I will do this when I have the time and space to do so. I am going to also line the inside of the drawers with either fabric or paper to make the inside pop as well. Thank you.
My favorite piece my absolutely favorite piece out of all of them was the bar cart with the pink inside and the art deco peacock feather absolutely positively stunning
First time I have ever seen your channel! I LOVE your style! And so appreciate your telling expense and profit. I have only sold 2 pieces but have done several. I have given a desk and my first was the desk my great grandfather used. I love doing this!!!
Awww haha thank you so much!! I’m glad you like it. Just so I know, for future reference, what is it that you like about it? The comedy, the information?
@@TheMissFlips It is the combination of both! Your work is outstanding. The Art Deco furniture restorations are very beautiful. Your tutorials are articulate, clear and concise with touches of charming humor. I really enjoy listening to you and I have learned a lot from your videos. 2023 is going to be a very successful and profitable year for you. You are so skilled, talented and humble. You deserve to be well rewarded for your accomplishments these past two years.
hi , just found your channel by accident, like your work. hope you dont mind a little advice, you said you werent a woodworker so regarding sanding i would invest in a good quality sander like a festool, or a mirka deros, together with a good dust extractor, those little bags stop collecting the dust after a while when clogged, they just push the sawdust back into the wood, with veneer its really easy to oversand, and you would be amazed how much easier and faster sanding is if you use a good sander and quality sandpaper with a dust extractor. theres also a great repair wax that is applied really easily called thermelt woodfiller sticks that come in a range of colors to match the wood, would really take care of deep scratches and dings as well as broken edges. cheers and happy flipping.
I love how artistic your pieces are. It's so unique compared to others I've seen. But as an artist it's great to know that there is hope for breaking the mold and still having things sell.
Your work is amazing. I hope to flip furniture like this someday too, although not with your beautiful artistic inclusions. I don't have that talent. Thank you for sharing your work. ❤
I just watched this. Imagine my surprise that the striped tallboy matches exactly the lowboy I have. Your piece is beautiful. My piece is in pretty good shape but I am missing one of the bullet shaped knobs. I think those might have been custom made by the manufacturer for that line. I had no idea what to do with my lowboy but now I have ideas after watching you. Love your channel. You are so talented and I always learn something new when I watch you.
In a 24 hour period I found, lost, and found again this video . I have a question about the Melange Board and Boot Quenching Balm...is the hemp smell really strong? The result you got with it was amazing, but I'm afraid in a small room it could be a strong scent. Thank you in advance!
Success, congratulations on a wonderful year of flips. I love watching your videos and living vicariously through them. I just subscribed so I can see more of your talent.
Your work is STUNNING and you are a mega talent! I would have guessed the bar to be the highest profit, but everything on this list is amazing. I need to tell you that last year your piece #1 on this list stuck in my mind when I got a commission to MATCH a lingerie cabinet for my client's mom 300 miles away. So I used your method of taping/mixing stains only I added a painted wood slat too! It was NOT as easy as you made it look and I do lots of taping/stripes - client & mom loved the result - so THANKS for the inspiration! 😂😆
You are absolutely and phenomenally talented!!! These pieces are definitely the most beautiful flips I've ever seen and trust me, I've watched hundreds of flip videos. Hands down, yours are spectacular!! 💜❤❌⭕ I only hope I can become even half as good as you are at doing this.

Great work. Very unique designs! I love your creativity and your style!! Does Etsy have a shipper that you use or do you have to find your own? I've been thinking about how to sell my pieces and have been thinking about whether to go for it!
I've seen a lot of people stripping finishes and it makes me wonder why you don't just attack it with 80 grit sandpaper instead of dealing with the chemicals? I'm sure there's a reason, but I would love to know!
I like to strip it with QCS which is nontoxic and super safe. With 80 grit or 60 grit, you run the risk of blasting through to veneer and it’s also a lot of work trying to get rid of all the swirlies left behind by the lower grits
I just scored a Bassett Tall Dresser in solid Cherry from the Valencia line. It's a french provincial dresser with the iriginal hardware. I got it for $80!! I looked it up online and found the exact dresser not refinished for $500-$800. I found one with the cherry refinished for $1,500. I had originally thought I would do a two tone with maybe black or a green or wine color that is so dark it looks black on the outside/frame of the dresser and then stain the drawers and the top antique walnut or even just put finish without any stain if the wood grain is beautiful. Because I haven't been able to find this dresser painted, I am now worried that painting it might devalue it. I am very new to furniture flipping. Does anyone know how to determine if it's ok to paint a piece?
Just so you know... those brass bits that you removed? Don't throw those away; they are what marks a piece as Campaign Furniture. There are people who will pay you big bucks for that. The way you re-did these looks gorgeous, but maybe when you are working with a piece that's a bit too beaten up to paint like that, you might want to just shine it up as much as possible and add those brass corner pieces to it. They'll give a mediocre piece enough character to sell really well.
I don’t know what sound you’re referring to. I don’t put a clock into my flips. Are you talking about the sound of me flipping? Like hammering and such?
Honestly? I didn't understand where and how you find people who pay these amounts for these pieces. I'm not a troll, I'm an Italian artisan, my father was a carpenter and I didn't research yet in the Italian market if there are any place for selling and buying these kind of restorations. But I know that I personally would never buy a piece of furniture at these prices. Are you american, right?
At first glance , the pieces look really something . But when I see that you actually paint over a beautiful high gloss wood grain my jaw just drops in shock . There is a piece where you paint a gold line and do not even remove the lock which gets paint on it . And then paint uneven curved lines , and your client pays $2000 !! seriously ? And the worst part is that you do not even laquor over the lines you painted , they can be scratched off really easily ....Sorry but this is average at best , and that is being kind

@@TheMissFlips actually honey, darling, little girl, yes..my life is awesome, and yes i want to comment and let u know that u must look for another outlet to make money because in the flipping department u are not even there...is like you are saying that Neiman Marcus sells same quality merchandise as Wallmart... or that a real 24K gold chain is the same as a gold plated chain... both are stores that sell stuff, both are jewerly that look flashy...two different things isn't? u are Not in the caliber of Neiman Marcus nor the 24K so there u have it. Yes, you Miss-ed the quality and the taste that goes alone with creating art or transforming a furniture piece in a wholly molly type of gorgeous out the word transformation piece. I hope you heal and move on to another endevor...flipping furniture is not for you unless u are willing to study and practice for at least 4 years....learn from the masters...then u will be ok. Why are you paying the shipping and not the client?
I include the shipping in my pricing :)

One that's not even in the top 5! I thought for sure the Skyscraper Bar would be somewhere on here.
Haha right!? Same honestly
I enjoy watching your flips. However the ticking clock sound is annoying! I have to turn the sound down.
I don’t know what sound you’re referring to. I don’t put a clock into my flips. Are you talking about the sound of me flipping? Like hammering and such?
Maybe the sound is in the music, something keeping time. It's not your use of tools. Your work is exquisite, by the way! I will keep watching.
@@lindasnyder2976 haha thank you! It might be the music
You say "profit", but don't put in the labour hours. (That you would of paid somebody else...) than what's left is profit
So you don’t include your hourly as profit? How does that work?
@@TheMissFlips Technically your "wage" is an expense! So profit would not include it.
@@ServproSB1 so should I be writing it off in my taxes?
@@TheMissFlips That I'm not sure about. An accountant would be a better person to ask.
@@ServproSB1 I wasn’t serious. If it was considered an expense, it would be tax deductible but it’s not so it’s profit
the top ones, they look like coffin 💀
Haha nice
You are not charging enough for your work.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
sorry for the comment. free hand painting needs more work.
lol thanks!
Then you do it. And do it better than her.
Why ??????????
Why…. What? Lol
@@TheMissFlips why paint this beautiful piece?
@@cristianaoliveira7878 😂 cuz I literally get paid soooo much money to do it because there are soooo many people who like it!
Yes :) I do know that the market is vastly different in Europe
@@TheMissFlips to be clear: I like your works, your talent and your smart way to restore with minimum impact for a very good gain. 👏👏👏
@@Maggioretom thank you so much!
Hey! Thanks so much for your comment :) have a great night!
Girl, just say you're jealous and broke and move on. She ate up on all those pieces and got the money she deserved.

what is up with newbies...copy the other idiots who put annoying music in the background and using super fast speed to save in editiong time...then they wonder why they do not have much of subscribers...🤔🤔
Haha what? I’m super happy about my subscription count. I’ve been doing this for a few years now. Not exactly a newbie
really??? few years and only 15K subscribers..ohhhh u must be doing something right LOLOLOLOLOL no exactly a newbie...🤔🤔🤔 doesn't look like you are a pro for sure...good luck to you...u will need that...hey do not freat...10 more years and you will reach 20K subscribers for sure...@@TheMissFlips
@@lolitabonita08 loool flipping is my side hustle. Go put your time towards something productive.
darling...i just did...LOLOLOL i told you my personal opinion in regards of the piece, the quality of the video (crap) and more...so if flipping furniture is a side hustle no wonder you are not good at it...find gardening that may be better for you.. Sadly the talent is not there...good luck sweet heart.@@TheMissFlips
@@lolitabonita08 you too! 🥰
i am sorry but not my cup of tea...i will not pay 2k for that paint job...100 for the set and i will paint it again...
Fair enough. Luckily you’re not my clientele :)
yes, luckily i am not the idiot who paid that kind of money for the job and so freaking lucky that i am not your clientele because i do my own art and flipping of furniture for a living...so with trained eye, many years of experience and art in my dna i can spot a genious in the making, a talented diy or a complete wanna be without a clue of what they are doing...sadly utub have lots of the wanna be type of diyers...and tons of diy furniture painters that do not have talent in their brains, bones nor dna..hey but it is good that they are trying...painting is fun and good for the soul...😁
@@lolitabonita08 haha your life must be really good to want to comment like this on someone else’s art. I’m happy with my life so I don’t feel the need to make my ego feel good by putting down others creative outlets. Hope you heal ✌️
What a horrible thing to go out of your way to say to someone @lolitabonita08. you suck!
THe only ego i see and that is very hurt - is yours... Putting down your creative outlet...( NOT Other's creative outlets...) all depends of who is on the other side...in your case ur high inflated ego just came down from the sky... so u have two choices...study, learn from the masters, practice practice and practice and the step back 100 feet and see your creations with a new set of eyes...or keep lying to yourself and inflating your eggo thinking that what u are creating is worth 2K...i will say maybe 100 dollars tops but because the value of the furniture but not for the flip itself. Ps even monkeys, dogs and elephants can handle a brush and paint....LOLOL
Please don’t keep using Gods name in vain, it’s painful
Thank you for the suggestion, however, I do not share your faith.
