Thank You Thank You Thank You! I saw this sitting on your desk from the Q & A video and I was hoping for a review of this. I saw Anderton's talk to Orange Ade about this and his explanation did not help me out in defining what this is or does. Now I am sold on it. Sounds like it will be a great! Thanks again!
Bang up job!! Nice sounding pedal. Would have liked to hear the amp sim out-put. Killer song Pete, as always. I have already shared it with all my music friends. This is why the internet is one of the greatest gifts to musicians everywhere. Thanks Pete!!!!
Hey Pete, another great demo m8, love the Black Sabbathy vibe. looking forward to seeing you in France, wont miss it this time, please let us know who you touring with and when. cheers
PT Fantastic demo as you always do. Pretty amazing pedal good sound and in that it does a number of 'jobs' but would it find it's way onto your board instead of the other specialist pedals that currently give overdrive, distortion, fuzz etc. Can see maybe it's more likely to be used in the recording studio.
great demo as always, thanks. would you say it's any better than the myriad or.preamp pedals, namely catalinbread or the bogner offerings. it doesn't seem to offer any Orange tones specifically. the only difference I see if the notch able mids. do I misunderstand?
Hello, Pete. I bought a Bangeetar after watching this demo! It sounds like you are using 12v input as opposed to 9v. The instructions aren't very clear, and the Bangeetar itself is stamped "9vdc in" right above the input jack. After trying both, I can't imagine operating this thing on 9 volts. It is an absolute MONSTER of a pedal with 12vdc powering it. I just wish Orange would have made it more clear. I'm afraid people might get the wrong impression of it if they use 9v.
man.. i like the eq on this, i have an OR100 and TH30. this really feels like the midrange controll im looking for. (when not blinded by dominger pickups. . mmm tasty)
If you have a Rockerverb .....why would you need it????............To make your Rockerverb sound like an Orange amp???.......Doesn't it sound like an Orange already since it is one???
For use as a second channel. In my case, I would set this pedal as a mid gain setting, and use my amp channel as a high gain setting. Makes the whole setup more versatile, I find myself battling between having too much gain and too little so an intermediate would be great.
+Pete Thorn I've been thinking about getting a Bangeetar for a while but have not been able to get my hands on one to try. Safe to say, this video has answered my question as to how it sounds going into an amplifier! Have you tried it going into a power amp as a stand alone preamp? I'm thinking about trying to build a bad ass rig that doesn't use tubes.
Would this work well paired with the Brent Hinds Terror amp or would it be totally unnecessary? Haven't found any videos of anyone using that combination yet.
I'm wondering the same. I have the BHT and I have been checking this pedal for a while. If this pedal wasn't that pricey I would have pulled the trigger already. BUT if for some reason I end up getting it i will come back here and let you know.
I remember not being satisfied with using distortion pedals to give my OR50. I liked them but the pedals always sounded like the pedal, it that makes sense. A Rat sound like a Rat no matter what amp you play into. Then Orange released the two channel OR100. Slap in my face. I still really loved the rich clean to crunch of the OR50 that I got riding my volume pedal. The bangeetar would have been the perfect distortion/overdrive to my OR50. Sadly I sold my OR50 because I wanted to down size my gear and it might have been a month or two after I sold my favorite head of all time. Egg on face. Now I'm determined to get another OR50 and the bangeetar. This is the first review I've seen where it wasn't set too extreme and some downtuned sludge metal wasn't 😅
Damn. It's always the same. I start looking at something from youtube, run into one of your reviews with great friggin music, and there goes my money again. Haha. I would have, though, liked to hear what you could've forged out of the cabinet sim straight to desk. On the guitar. But the basstone was great. I just bought a BAT/Matt Pike Rabid Mammal fuzz, but the next money will probably be on that Bangeetar if I can source one out. I bet that fuzz into Bangeetar-->power amp will do serious Doom. Keep up the great work!
What did you end up going with ? For the money ,which is about the same or even less for the Fly Rig you get all effects but I want this pedal for some reason I am obsessed with it.
@@teriakamoto haha funds right now don't allow for either. I'm a bassist for the most part, but was torn between them because-I have the Orange Bass Terror with Orange 1x15 and am incredibly impressed with the sound and durability of this stuff. Really powerful. I also use the Tech 21 dp3x-the dUg Pinnick signature pedal. Am also incredibly satisfied with this as well. Both together, honestly, with the addition of a wah pedal, my quest for tone and gear here is complete. In the end, I'll probably go with the Flyrig, more out of convenience...it's only slightly cheaper than the Bax, but far easier to fine one.

That's the start of a badass song Pete!
Excellent video. Thanks. Great explanation of features.
These aren't merely demos, they're more like concerts!
Your playing is impeccable.... Always.
I could gush, but I hope you already know.
this pedal was crying!Pete, you are always over the top😉
love that led Zep, Dazed and confused vibe in the beginning.
You're such a craftsman with the guitar. You're playing style is what I connect with.
That effing thing sounds GREAT! Having such a wide variety of mids really opens it up to tons of tones and the gain is unreal!
That bass tone was to die for!
Hey!! there we go,now I can see it!! Thanks Pete.
Really a tremendous orange offering
great video Pete thorn.
Hello Pete, wow, you killed it again.... new demo = new song! this is so cool. greetings from France
Pete your playing is fantastic, your phrasing is impeccable!
Thanks Phil!

Sounds just like a cranked Orange! Love it!
very cool how you play the song and then isolate each track. .Great idea
+Barefoot67 Thnaks! Ya, I like it, seems like a good format
Damn killer review and song man! I look forward to your videos and your column in premier guitar mag
that note at 0:18 - so good! Pete Thorn... killing it daily! And the Lizzy! The LIZZY!! (I'm Irish)
Sick Thin Lizzy there, Pete! ;) The pedal's great too.
Thanks for the hilarious Hitler moustache - it's only shadow but had me in stitches.
+pd4165 aww geez... I'll get some less bright overhead bulbs
looks more Charlie Chaplin really.
OMG!!! I was thinking the same thing!!! Sorry pete!! Ya probably more charlie chaplin!! figured it was shadow, You ROCK Dude!!!!
Great demo Pete - Thanks!
Great video! great pedal! more bass stuff please!!
Always love your playing! Great review, once again! Thanks Pete!
Can you now do the Wampler Catapulp ? compare ?
Tasty F***ing Riffs and Leads Thorn
Killer original tune man. As always, amazing.
Great demo!! I noticed that you added a pair of Barefoot MM45, great speakers!!
Bang up job!! Nice sounding pedal. Would have liked to hear the amp sim out-put. Killer song Pete, as always. I have already shared it with all my music friends. This is why the internet is one of the greatest gifts to musicians everywhere.
Thanks Pete!!!!
+Graham Vamplew Thanks, and thanks for sharing!
Yep, you just sold me on the Thornbuckers. Amazing job as always!
Ya, the LP has them too! Both guitars.
G'day Pete, you got some great sounds out of that pedal, cheers.
The opening tune is KILLERRRRR!!!!! Put this on your next record, please!!
Daim! Loved it. Thx, Pete.
that demo tune was epic!!!!!
Thank you!
Hey Pete, another great demo m8, love the Black Sabbathy vibe. looking forward to seeing you in France, wont miss it this time, please let us know who you touring with and when. cheers
Excelent Demo!!! Thanks, your style is amazing.cheers from Mexico!
Thanks!
Jesus Pete, that thing sounds amazing. Liked the riff from Jailbreak too ;-)
as always great demo
Excellent !!
those Q's are insane
Damn, Pete, making that sound shine and shimmer. I think I would actually buy the box and wonder what is wrong with it after watching this demo. ;)
killer opening tune!

Hey Pete, Did you use your Suhr cab or an impulse response?
Good one, at last someone who knows how use this unit properly by finding the variations it's capable of, that's the sign of great musician
so they have white version now or this is the new model?
Hello, Pete.

Rick, What do I need to do to run it on 12 vdc?
Dave Johnson here is one similar. You can select polarity also:
Look at this on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/261590261034
Rick, thanks!!
Not too shabby!!!
NIce Pete. Are you using a Xotic Rc Booster as a buffer into the pedal? I see something you plugged into first.
+Terry Goldstein Looks like a TC tuner to me
very cool sounds id like this pedal ;) tahnks for this new video master
+Fred Gómez thanks Fred!
Pete, it's allways ur song, or cover ? So beautifull sound. When the new album will?
+Максим Н a new song, every video.... :) No covers
Intro ☝🏻!!! Yeah 😎 !!!
Has Ross Haflin ever been so popular?
Great review of a rather special pedal!
+Rohan Leach Ha! Ross is the man!
man.. i like the eq on this, i have an OR100 and TH30. this really feels like the midrange controll im looking for. (when not blinded by dominger pickups. . mmm tasty)
How hard would you say it would be to get some early Sabbath tones from it?
It does that, I think!
I own one. Definitely gets good Sabbath, Pentagram, Trouble and Saint Vitus tone and vibes.
6:12 What amp are you talking about here?
(Tone at 3:00 is awesome - but I know I'd need to get that cab, amp, pickups etc....)
Dammit!
Now I have to buy this and get rid of all my other dirt pedals!!!
That is a freakin' amazing piece of gear!
Damn, you're a good player!!!
New monitors?
Can you use the cab sim without plugging into an amp? If so, this would be an awesome practice/headphone amp... pedal... thing.
+Allen Sangster yes you can its meant for headphone jamming and recording
Holy Crap, it sounds just like an Orange amp... I need one for my rockerverb
If you have a Rockerverb .....why would you need it????............To make your Rockerverb sound like an Orange amp???.......Doesn't it sound like an Orange already since it is one???

Exactly. I have a TH30 with a clean side.
God, that riff on the Les Paul...
:) I was happy with this one too

Some Ty Tabor in that box. 🤘

great... now a 3rd pedal I want to buy...
Damn you Pete! ;-)
Whats the name of the first song you played?
Made it up for this video... Might turn it into a real song though
Hi gain please, lead tone

I’d like to try it out kind of as a Tube screamer in front of an all ready dirty Rockerverb. Any one’s ever tried that? 🙂
Hey Pete....what does the other switch do?
My bad, I failed to mention- it's a simple, preset volume boost
Awesome, cheers

@@ferox965 Nice. I got on too lol. You running your Bass through it ?
@@teriakamoto Nope. Bass goes through Tech 21 dUg Pinnick signature.
I remember back when a good guitar preamp would cost $700-$1000 US.
This is a steal.
It sounds great, but the price point is a little scary.
what do you use for drums?
In past videos he's stated that he uses Steven Slate Drums. Not sure if that's what he still uses.
awesome! it cost almost 400$ though.
meant to say sounds like.. but i.can really almost feel it. even with the youtube filter
Lizzy!
That thing is Huge! It's bigger then your face. Awesome demo!
It's not orange..
Pete I can always see you put your heart into it bro you do an excellent job and may the good Lord bless you and your family always
I'm an unsung hero you would never find out who I am but I'm in Venture Capital number one taking care of my little wife number 2 most importantly number one a loving God and serving the LORD
But I've also been accused of being one of the most prolific blues guitar players on the planet
But not out there doing it man trying to do something in the world of investment banking we have an IPO coming out this year it's an app company that is partnered with some of the biggest retail Giants in the world and it should be pretty well God willing and then I can kick back at my good old age of 52/ 53
God willing move out of this lascivious California to beautiful Idaho
And I will be in Ministry full time but on the weekends I will probably do some of that blues stuff, I want to just shake up the town with a sound they've never even heard of I might just sing the whole thing in Spanish and have a band it just rocks like ZZ Top but we also do country
So we'll see how the Lord organizes all this starting with the IPO hopefully God willing this year
You need prayer for anything bro I've been accused also being a prayer Warrior
The good Lord is coming soon you can look around see the things happening in Israel seem to things happening in this world we're moving toward a One World Government one world religion that will make socialism and communism look like Mickey Mouse you even have to have a mark on your right hand or your forehead to buy anyting including gas or a set of strings but before all that happens we believe
The good Lord Jesus
Will remove His church of True Believers
And I hope to see you in heaven too bro you seem like a very kind person and very talented
Sounds like a Black Sabbath song
that one eye is out of line ! still can play well though...
