So many of my gear acquisitions (for my little home studio and live use) have been derived from your guidance. While they can't elevate my playing to your level, I have never felt less than fully informed and satisfied after making a purchase subsequent to watching your reviews. Thanks for everything, Pete!!!
I'm usually not a fan of "subtle' pedals (probably because my old ears are, well, old) but I really like this one. You did a great job of demonstrating the pedals capability (as always). Thanks for all you do for the music community.
I love all of your videos. You're definitely my favorite gear demonstrator. Great playing and tones. I'm now trying to grab this pedal the simpler the better for me!
Hi Pete, Great demo! Do you remember what settings you used on the AC15 for this demo? Also, what Weber speaker is in the amp and how do you think it compares to a Celestion Alnico Blue? Loving your channel, keep up the good work! :) Kind regards, Tomas
What I really thought was impressive, the bend on one string up then bend the string above it and ride it down. That worked perfectly. Another impressive review.
Hey Pete, great demo as always. How do you think this pedal stacks up to the EP booster or the echoplex preamp? Is it a similar thing or something different entirely? Thanks.
Not sure how great the pedal is Bro but you seriously kick ass!!!! That Les Paul looks and sounds amazing! Strat sounds a little thin even with the pedal.
Pete Thorn you made a demo! I cannot tell you how happy I am that this is on the internet. I love to hear you play, you are my favorite youtube demo-er, and I am so glad that after a bit you made a demo! Thank you!
Awesome job Pete. I know you've done a few JRockett pedals. Wondering if you would ever do one on the Tim Pierce pedal. I picked one up a couple of months ago - fantastic. I love the power amp section and would love to see what you could do with it.
Ha ha!. I've watched every episode and forgot. Went back and played it again. Now I remember why I forgot... I am certain there was more playing that day. Unfortunately, most must have got left on the cutting room floor. Sorry Pete. You've spoiled me with your demo quality. Tim's 15 seconds isn't quite up to your standards. I did find an excellent demo on Primaxe. As always, thanks for all the info and your time. Safe trip back home.
You know, I actually made a mistake. It's not a Weber, it's a WGS. 50 watt alnico. I mixed up Weber with WGS. Ugh! Apologies! I own speakers from both companies. Anyway- great speaker.
I just picked up a '68 Custom Princeton Reverb to pair with my AC10 Twin (vintage clone) amp and the COT50 style pedal I was using didn't sound great in the Princeton. I've come to realize some are good on one but not the other for a lot of pedals and am looking for something that would do this thing for both. Do you think it would work well with both amps?
The first riff you play, with the strat and the sl68, just sounds fantastic! do you recall how you set the Suhr amp to get that tone? thanks for the video and great playing!
+Pete Thorn Do the tone controls behave in a similar fashion to how an old Plexi's would? Thanks for taking the time to reply, been a long time viewer!
Hey Tim, could you tell me how you integrated the Helix in your rig? Seems like you use 4 Pedals in the Loop? or is the H9 Controlled via Midi and one Loop used for 4 Cable Method?
BEAUTIFUL intro tune. Those Les Paul licks at 0:37 are heroic in tone and execution! :)

You've got such amazing technical skill, but you never overplay. Great demo Pete!
I tune in to hear you play. You do an excellent review of the product but I'm not in the market so I just love to hear you play.
Word. I don't care too much about the specifc pedals, just Pete's epic demo riffing :D
Pete's playing and tone are superlative . Never get enough of these . Miss the show with Tim .
More coming with Tim soon! Sorry for the delay!
Mee too. Was not interested in the pedal at all, just wanted to hear some good guitar playing for inspiration...
Same thing here man:)
Pete You ALWAYS do the best demos!!!!
Really really dug that tone with the LP...I could live with that all day long. As usual, great review Pete.
Ha, nice you played that upward moving "position change" lick that you asked Tim Pierce about the other day!
Excellent demo!!!!
You are an inspiration to us all :)
thanks Hans!
Pete, your tone in that intro is pure bliss!!
Pete's back!
Man, the Strat > Simble (cool) > AC-15 is a great combination!!
I think I'll buy every pedal you've demoed Pete haha. Love you dude, great playing!
I'm usually not a fan of "subtle' pedals (probably because my old ears are, well, old) but I really like this one. You did a great job of demonstrating the pedals capability (as always). Thanks for all you do for the music community.
thanks!
Very cool, I really like the mad professor products!
I love all of your videos. You're definitely my favorite gear demonstrator. Great playing and tones. I'm now trying to grab this pedal the simpler the better for me!
Spleeeeeendid song, Pete!
Hey, Pete. I love your chops, man.
Awesome playing and tones as usual. Thanks!
Great demo and playing. I like the sounds you got out of the pedal.
You will NOT sway my humbucking heart with your suave amazingly beautiful single coil sound mr thorn! 😋
hahaha!
Hi Pete,
Great demo! Do you remember what settings you used on the AC15 for this demo? Also, what Weber speaker is in the amp and how do you think it compares to a Celestion Alnico Blue? Loving your channel, keep up the good work! :)
Kind regards,
Tomas
I ride my volume control. A pedal responsive to the guitar's volume is always a gem! :D
What I really thought was impressive, the bend on one string up then bend the string above it and ride it down. That worked perfectly. Another impressive review.
It's that Joe Walsh kinda thing :)
Holy shit that intro is smooth and awesome
Thanks! I try and keep it smoooooth
Yeah makes a great guitar sound even better. Thank you for the demo.
Thanks!
they make amazing pedals, I still think their mellow yellow tremolo is the best I've heard, great company
Damn, Tom you are amazing. I am just hear to listen to you play.
Thank you sir!
Such beautiful melody and playing, as always.
That lead tone!!! Sweet lord D:
great playing
Good demonstration of the tonal difference between a Les Paul and a Strat as well. I sure do like the LP's depth and growl!
The LP- It has my Thornbuckers in it- a + model in the bridge.
Hey Pete, great demo as always. How do you think this pedal stacks up to the EP booster or the echoplex preamp? Is it a similar thing or something different entirely? Thanks.
I am am also curious about this.
Tones, playing and style
Beautifull product!!
Not sure how great the pedal is Bro but you seriously kick ass!!!! That Les Paul looks and sounds amazing! Strat sounds a little thin even with the pedal.
Killer track! Cool rythm guitar and some nice melody-riffs. Best regards - Jonas
Thanks Jonas
Cool pedal !!
your best one yet...very very well done...can always count on your channel/demos for inspiration!
Pete Thorn you made a demo! I cannot tell you how happy I am that this is on the internet. I love to hear you play, you are my favorite youtube demo-er, and I am so glad that after a bit you made a demo! Thank you!
Thanks Jacob :) I'm happy, if I made you happy!
sounds pretty sweet
real nice dude ...
Works great with the Vox using in the cool position.
seems like its been a while since I heard some sweet thornesk original tones. encore my friend
:)
Awesomeness!!
Awesome job Pete. I know you've done a few JRockett pedals. Wondering if you would ever do one on the Tim Pierce pedal. I picked one up a couple of months ago - fantastic. I love the power amp section and would love to see what you could do with it.
We do a little "demo" of it in the Justin Derrico episode of Tim And Pete's Guitar Show. I love the pedal, it's great
Ha ha!. I've watched every episode and forgot. Went back and played it again. Now I remember why I forgot... I am certain there was more playing that day. Pete, great demo as always! Curious as the the specs on the Weber Alnico in the Vox AC15. Weber Blue? Wattage?
You know, I actually made a mistake. It's not a Weber, it's a WGS. 50 watt alnico. I mixed up Weber with WGS. Ugh! Apologies! I own speakers from both companies. Anyway- great speaker.

Another great demo Pete! Are you able to share your AC15 amp settings please?
It was Ch1, so just vol and a bright switch! Vol was on 2 or 3 and bright was on. Cut was on about 4.
+Pete Thorn pretty much my exact settings. Cheers mate!
I see a new pedalboard in the background. Can you please show us what you got going on? Thanks, Pete.
I think it's Pete's 'small' board with the Helix and the H9's on it.
Looks cool. Would like to hear some of his presets and how he uses them within a song. Happy 4th!
Your AC15HW sounds great. What sonic difference did you find with the Weber over stock Celestion speaker?
well it had a greenback, so, not really "AC30 or AC15" in the classic sense. I wanted an alnico to do that jangly compression thing they do....
5:00, Bryan Adams, beautiful. Cheers from Brasil.
excellent intro song.
Tasteful, efforless playing. Thanks.
The first riff you play, with the strat and the sl68, just sounds fantastic! do you recall how you set the Suhr amp to get that tone? thanks for the video and great playing!
Probably volume around 5, treble on 5, bass on 4, presence on 4 or 5 and mids cranked.. something like that!
+Pete Thorn Do the tone controls behave in a similar fashion to how an old Plexi's would? Thanks for taking the time to reply, been a long time viewer!
Pete, just wondering if you've tried this with your Bassman? I'm interested because that's the amp I use. Thanks!
Do you reckon I could sub out my "always in" compressor first in my chain for this? Just to give a bit of balance and natural compression sound?
Simble Predriver or Simble Overdrive? I need one of them anyway.
Ashley Mann why not get twimble and get them both!
dig it!
I gave you a thumbs up on the basis that you'd tell me what shampoo you use.
I'm not too picky these days! ha
Hey Tim, could you tell me how you integrated the Helix in your rig? Seems like you use 4 Pedals in the Loop? or is the H9 Controlled via Midi and one Loop used for 4 Cable Method?
I'm not Tim! :) but yes- H9 is currently my rolled by midi, lop 4 is for 4cm and 3 pedals in loops 1-3
Uaaaaaah I'm sorry Pete! there wen't something terribly wrong. parodn!
Ah thank you very much. So this is your main rig now?
I got a new sound system anthem ready. Please have a listen.
are you using a patch bay to patch between different heads & speaker cabs? Or are you using a switcher
nah i just plug em in manually
Thanks for reviewing the pedal. It turns out I won't need it with my amp. My Mesa Boogie C++ has pull switches that do the same thing.
With no knob, does that mean there is never unity gain?
yep
A Badger 18 and a Pro TS-808 - unity again!
how it compares with Seymour Duncan Pickup booster?
Never tried one!
They are different
Does it increase the volume a lot over the clean signal?
If the amp is very clean, there will be a noticeable but not huge volume bump, yes.
+Pete Thorn thanks for answering! That's my biggest fear with these preamp/boost pedals and not always being able to try things out its hard to tell.
Wow
Beautiful technique & tone. I reckon Pete could sell sand to a Bedouin.
thanks Gary!
4:59 What is that song....I know it.....HELP
Brian Adams it s only love
Thank you. That was rattling around and I could not name it.
👍
