To answer a common question, the weight without the sides: 89g without right side, 89g without left side, 80g without both. Also here's my affiliate link for ordering directly from SteelSeries: steelseries.7eer.net/c/223206/207058/2390 And for the usual "omg he liked a mouse and said where it can be purchased, he's a sell out!" claims... I could do that with any mouse, there's no reason for me to choose this over the others on that basis alone. You'll notice this video is 11 minutes long. I put a lot more time into this video BECAUSE it's a great mouse and capable of taking that #1 spot (for now). If it wasn't so good I wouldn't have wasted my time on it. Genuinely love this mouse. I hope others do too.
So... Does this mean the Aimo from roccat was sorta Meh. Just an upgraded EMP? I was hoping for a more detailed review but you did give it its praises. With steelseries timing though this mouse also has my attention. I know it's personal preference but I'm just curious. I'm leaning to the Amio because it has more buttons and the design but the the 600 from Steelseries also has my attention.
Rocket Jump Ninja I still think the g403 with both wired AND wireless offers more functionality for a similar price, imho. Great review nontheless, as always.
Rocket Jump Ninja can you help me? So my hand is as big as yours and i have a palm grip. What mouse do you recommend? I play fps games and the mouse should be Wireless.
I agreed until he started being paid to do reviews, which this review falls under given there is an absolute direct correlation with this review having a "stellar review" since it results in more people buying this mouse with his link.
Well its true but Rocket is the one reviewer ho deeply points out every detail and Pro and Con of an product wich most tech reviewers dont. I think he deserves even more attention that he currently has compared to the other tech reviewers.
I literally just bought the rival 600 and have had the g403 when I first saw his opinion on it. I have to say his reviews are spot on and since zy gave this mouse such praise, I expect the best from it.
Listen if you have a mouse like, the g403, The death adder, Zowie Fk1, or even a rival 300, please stop complaing about how you were late, those mice are godlike and are well worth your moneys, if this video never was made, none of you would be saying that, and yall missing the point of his videos, its nt about whats the perfect mouse. its about the mouse that suits you the best
The death adder is my go to mouse for gaming. The shape is so likeable and comfortable! However I hate the rubber grips so much I replaced them with diy smoother ones, and the elite version has dpi buttons on the top that I sometimes accidentally clicking them to a super high dpi, which is just so annoying. This just shows you that there's no perfect mouse at the end of the day, but only the best tool for yourself!
You are wrong. G403 have stiff braided cable and shape that is 50/50. You love it or hate it. And there are some QC issues. If you love the shape and no QC issues you still have to deal with cable. So its not perfect. Zowie FK1 still have 3310 sensor with a tons of smoothing and really stiff clicks. I like stiffer clicks but most people don't. So this mice can't be perfect. Steelseries keep using awful rubber on pretty much all mice so at this point they can't be perfect because they don't sell replacements. You say they are worth the money you pay? I say no. Not even close. Zowie mice are way overpriced. Steelseries with QC and pretty bad designs are not worth the money. Logitech is close. Logitech have a lot of sales that's good. They have one of the best materials used in mice right now. So they are close but still... There is no mice at logitech store what I would love to buy. Because of awkward shapes or no real deal for bigger hands. They still have ways to improve.
Bought that mouse yesterday because of your amazing review! Thank you for making these kinds of videos because they are very helpful to me and rest of the people too :) + Disabled ads because I wanted to support you.
@@officialAlexisMaun the mouse has problem with the glue from the rubber pads on the sides . Mine started to unglue , i googled and found lots of complains
The review is great, amazing as always but this mouse has some long term reliability issues. I have owned this mouse since August 2018 for your knowledge. Issues: Double click or no click problem that requires a restart to fix once. (When the glitch occures it will either double click when you click or it will not) The glue on the pads is really sticky but literally melts at body temperature so i recommend immediately taking off the pads when you get mouse and stick them back with super glue. TL;DR: I like the mouse but make sure you are prepared when you buy it.
SteelSeries has nailed it again. Dammit SteelSeries! I just got my G502! Well I hope to try this out in the future. Also I want to comment on this review. This is one of the best reviews that you have done. You already do reviews so in-depth, but this was very, very in-depth. You truely are the best tech reviewer :D
I'm with Zy. for me it would be perfect if it were slightly shorter and lighter. The lift off sensor sounds gimmicky, but it looked like it works well. I recently found my old G400 and played like a god on PUBG, but every now and then, a small lift off would cause my aim to spazz out. I liked my G502 so much with its thumb button, perfectly placed DPI buttons, and scroll wheel that I bought another when it died.
Second this, G502 is an amazing mouse. Its heavy but if you handle it its just fine. I have transitioned over to G903 just cause its wireless but G502 i have used for many years. Top end mouse.
Download older firmware to get 7ms better click latency than the DA elite and zowies, the newer firmware of the 502 isnt as godlike in terms of click latency, 7ms is very significant honestly, if the weight isnt a problem you got yourself a gem
First off, I would like to thank you RJN for your reviews and advice for mice over the years. Thanks to you, I believe I've found the mouse that fits me perfectly with the Rival 600. My hand size is 20 x 10.3 cm, and the Rival 600 feels amazing with palm grip, especially with the silicone grips and soft coating. I've owned the G703, Rival 310, and EC-2A, and the Rival 600 for me is the most comfortable. I encourage anyone if you are not fully satisfied with your current driver, and have the funds, to try the Rival 600. It could be the "one."
Great to hear! I've been waiting for someone to really appreciate the comfort, it really is next level in my opinion... could still be improved but wow, it's nice already. Glad you're enjoying it, thanks for the feedback!
MVPlayer 21 Perfect cause my hand size is the same so there is only one question you said it’s comfortable but what’s with your aim is it good or better with this mouse?
@@MillerTM Well, in their case, they could put in the new sensor set from Rival 600, but in general I agree, unless we are going to see new optic sensor that can track on glass or somethinga and they still plan release is as replacement option.
I'm also really exited about the new Rival 600. I have been waiting so long for a mice that feel this comfortable. I already feel like my gaming performance has improved since i bought it.
to be honest I want Zowie (BenQ) to upgrade every technical thing in the Fk series /Za series /Ec series like sensors and stuff then each series will suit everyone perfectly
W6 FyXe I tried a white ZA13 and the clicks were great, way less stiff than the black version. But with it being white it's glossy and I didn't get on with this. The wheel was improved too i felt.
They should totally release a flatter edged version of the right side of the mouse to make it more of an ambidextrous shape, and possibly making it lighter. It maight even be better for claw and fingertip then for some. Anyway, great review Zy.
I hate that right side shape on my G403, so it is a dealbreaker in my case. It is sad, because they are doing it just for better first impression. G403 is also great if you want to just rest the hand on it, so you take it in the shop and after more testing you realize its hard to lift. I hope they take the oportunity and release different side parts.
If it's not palm grip, it's no good. If any part of the hand or wrist touches the floor or mousepad, it's no good. If it's scroll wheel and buttons are weak, it's completely useless, not even as backup.
Thanks for your honest review man. I used your link to upgrade to this mouse from G502. Honestly it's thanks to you that I even know what my hand size is and which mice I should be even looking at.
Hey, so after using the mouse for a week, I can honestly say it's the best mouse I've owned so far. Good tracking and got a good feel about it when using. I mainly play Overwatch, and I have been using the G502 for over an year. And this mouse is definitely better. Few things I don't like about this mouse are its side buttons. I have a 20x10cm hands, and I can't reach the 3rd button on the side, with claw grip. I wish it was angled towards the thumb rather than angled away. Also, for a mouse designed for larger hands - why they made the side buttons so thin is beyond me. Other than that, this one is very good.
Ok, good! At least you didn't make me feel bad because I just bought the Rival 310 a few weeks ago, still the Rival 600 is a good mouse, but I don't think I'll be switching, also, if you have another mouse that is good, don't feel bad, the Rival 600 is a new mouse, it might have a few issues and it is heavy without the sides.Still, the mouse is really amazing and Steel Series have done a great job with it, and your videos are amazing as usual!
Just went out and purchased this today and I gotta say that I am actually loving it so far. Everything feels super responsive and the mouse just feels really good to use. I can't really think of anything bad to say about it right now.
Well, I bought it a few weeks ago, and all the issues like the rubber grip isn't sticky ect they are all false for me, it is an amazing mouse, not too big and extremely comfortable the DPI button doesn't get in the way, and the side buttons, despite being small, are actually easy to press.. It also doesn't feel cheap at all and is very balanced, for me the 'slippy' side grips aren't slippy for my hands and its just overall an incredible mouse. Its also a very good looking mouse and the software is so easy to use, with the, 8 RGB zones, its almost a game in itself, some effects you can do are insane, I would recommend this mouse to anyone who loves gaming
just found your channel, really like it. have been playing arena fps and fps for a long time and it's amazing that there is a guy reviewing hardware who also understands what some people really want in their reviews. thank you
MrYong Like zy said, it's got weights, it's light, the build quality looks and sounds really well and it looks comfortable just by looking at it. If this had the same omron left and right buttons, I would choose this over the g403 instantly
Literally the most comfortable mouse I’ve put my hand on. High quality as well. Nice job SteelSeries. The RGB lights are just as good if not better than the Cougar Revenger and the contoured switchers are a bonus. I’ve also found that if you want to have a braided cable you can use a 2.0 to micro USB cable, I’m using an Red ANKER Powerline+ and it works perfectly. However that one does add a little extra weight but it looks awesome.
Thank you for review :D i get rival 600 today. They dont sell it in Czech yet, so I have it form Steelseries from Denmark. To be honset, for very long time, best mouse ive ever had was Steelseries Kana v2, but Rival 600 is supreme to everymouse ive ever had. Doesnt matter that its bigger than my usuall mouses (Razer Diamondback, Kana V2, Asus Cerberus mice), Its most comfort mouse ive ever had. Thank you!
Just ordered one to replace my rival 300 as the sensor just started to kinda stop working for a split second occasionally. From my experience with all sorts of different brands, when it comes to build quality Steelseries and Logitech are by far the best, razer by far the worst.
It's great to see steelseries getting back in the spotlight. You never hear much about steelseries anymore when it comes to mice. I quite enjoyed the video and your videos helped me choose my Logitech G403.
you're such a high quality reviewer bro, ill try to get money for it as soon as i can. i currently use the g203 and i saw this mouse fits perfectly with my hand
Still rocking my EC-2A. Tried the fk2 and it's a bit too small for me. I have wide palms. This looks interesting. Maybe when my ec2a is dead I'll have a look at this. Got the ec2a because of this channel. Mouse rocks.
I had this mouse for a few months before the rubber grips actually completely slipped off, great product, other than the fact that my hands were stuck to my mouse mid game and I had to buy a new one.
Ended up returning mine - glue started to fail in about a month and a half, the mouse got pretty gross. Great mouse up until my fingers started to stick to things after using it from the grip sliding around. Felt great when new, lightweight, but they did not use a durable adhesive to attach the grip to the sides (or the glue was defective that they used on my mouse)... +1 that the mouse feels pretty cool without the sides.
It couldn't hurt to try - Amazon was very nice about returning it and made "an exception", I think they said something about a 30-day window, I was outside of whatever the window was at ~45 days. May also try contacting SteelSeries, but try Amazon first!
same happened to mine didnt even last a month though. it is not a good mouse if you play fps game alot... i imagine it might be nice for less intense games since you wont grip it as hard though but then again might aswell just get a razer naga for that.
I've watched so many of RJN's reviews and even decided on my final purchase (G403 of course) partly because of his review. The consistent quality of his reviews should make it obvious that he's not selling out to SteelSeries even if he's an affiliate of theirs. This is pure, unbiased review at its finest.
Best reviewer ever! Thanks for reviewing the FK2, everything you said on that video was legit. Its now my favourite mouse overtaking the Razer Abyssus and steelseries sensei pro in my list. Thanks!
Hey RJ! Just curious how this this mouse compares with the G502? I noticed that visually they share a lot of similarities, and I switched from the original Rival to the G502. I also own a Rival 700, Which j was going to use for gaming, but I use for work now instead on my laptop. I like the feel of the 700 and the sensor, but that weight is too much for me when I game. I like SteelSeries, but the G502 just started to fit my preferences more. Do you think it’d be worth it to check out the 600 for myself?
The design is cool but I’m worried about the grip of the mouse and the weight also the lift of distance(that’s why I like Zowie because I’m an aggressive player so flickin is common) btw I kinda don’t understand what “lift of distance “ is and how the hard disk test works ?.? “hard disk test works” messed up my tongue there lmao
Lift off Distance is how high the sensor can go while still tracking. Pros prefer 0 because many times, lifting the mouse while it's tracking can through off your aim.
hard disk test is something where you put a mouse on top of 2 cd/disks. This allows you to judge the distance between the sensor picking up movement, or ignoring it.
StaySic4Ever It's not the G403 in particular, I just can't stand wired mice, lol. I used a 20$ Logitech wireless office mouse for years before getting my DM1 Pro, but got fed up with the wire on an otherwise great mouse.
joker3117nk Idk, I can't imagine that it would. It would make things better but it doesn't relieve stress nearly as much as simply disconnecting. And since input lag is nonexistent for wireless mice nowadays, there's no strong reason for me to switch to wired except shape.
i was so excited when i got an email that steel series was going to be announcing a new product soon. even more excited that my go to mouse guy, zy has a review up already ! i generally like medium sized mice, but i might have to pick this up just for fun. currently using the smaller sensei 310 (which i love, my accuracy has increased noticeably switching from larger, deathadders for years.. still love DAs though).
i had the g500 in 2012 then bought the g502 in 2013 both are very comfortable and good i liked them alot i recommend them for everyone but thought about a change so i was confused between the g403 and the razer deathadder. after i watched this video ive immediately ordered the rival 600 lol . your vids are so helpfull man thank you
Rocket, your videos are some of the most informative on the web but there is one thing: you intone every sentence exactly the same way like an old speach engine or sth :) Frankly, it's the only bad thing in your videos that comes to my mind but it is a little bit distracting.
kbprojekty Its true, I often have to rewind, just to make sure I got everything you said. I can imagine that you are trying to put as much info as possible in the video, but you really should work on pacing and intonation, even at the price of longer video.
Wasn't intereted in this mouse at all but I watch all your videos anyway since you talk about other mice in them and I learn something new or get reminded to something intersting each time. Your reviews are top notch, I call them "reference material". I would really love to see a review of two top MMO mice from Logitech that I like a lot though: the G600 and G602. Oldies but Logitech keeps making them so that’s got to mean something. I ditched my Scimitar in favor of them and never liked the Naga. I do have a bunch of mice: G Pro, G303, G502, G600, G602, G603, G703, G903, MX Master 2s, MX Anywhere 2S and MX Ergo. Have owned many other Logitech and MS mice over the years, tried Steelseries and a bunch of Razers but sold them all off as they didn't compete with the Logitechs I had IMO. I had 3 Corsair mice the past 18 months or so but decided to let them go in favor of 2 Zowies after watching most of your reviews. On a side note: anyone intereted in the new Corsair K63 Wireless? I ordered one straight away for my "Couchmaster" couch setup. Not interested in the lapboard though. Yep, a bit of a keyboard freak as well. At the moment I use a K95 Platinum MXBrown, G Pro, G810, K830 and Topre Realforce RGB. Waiting for the K63 Wireless MXRed and an UHK MXClear. Anyway, end rant. I just love trying out all this wondeful gear and really appreciate your reviews!
I know what you mean :) Not that I'm currently looking to replace my Kones, anyways, but I seriously can't deal with not having a tilt wheel anymore. It's a necessity at this point, just like EasyShift.
I've been watching your videos since 2015, and wtf, I wasn't subscribed yet! My bad! My apologies. I have however, sent innumerable friends to your channel for reviews :D Love you man! keep it up!
One thing I noticed with using the Rival 600 for a few months, is that it can rock backwards causing some minor tracking issues if you are using a palm grip while pushing the mouse into the mousepad, but adding weights in the front will help with it. Along with my opinion it's a great mouse.
Zy please answer ec2a or steel series rival 310. I have been playing Quake live and my mamba's grip is worn out and keeps slipping out of my hands when I rocket 🚀 jumps this would help if you answer my question
ctf infinity: I would say the 310 because, I have the Ec2b and the shape and material make it difficult to pick up sometimes, as the smooth surface makes it slide out of grip. I assume if the 310 has similar build quality as the 600 than it will have rubber grips to make it easier to pick up.
EC2-A would be the perfect mouse if it had better quality. Gives up to easily unfortunately, also the scroll sucks, the key switches are not the best, and the sensor is now outdated. Shape wise - perfect. Like a smaller deathadder with every sharp edge rounded. Over 2 mice however, as short as 3-4 month i had keys stopping working, LED's burned out, sensors stopping responding.. hopefully Benq improved that when they took over, but i doubt it, probably just re branded already existing products.
How do you like the Logitech MX518/G400/G400s (all the same shape, but different sensors and style, plus the G400 breaks very quickly)? I personally count them among the most comfortable mice i've ever laid hand on (I'm currently using a G903 though, because the main buttons have such an extremely precise click, which is key in the games i play. it's comfortable, but i have to grip it differently in order to not cramp my hand over longer periods of playing, and it doesn't feel as natural as the G400s which I've used before). Of course, everyone's preference for shape is different, but i was interested in your thoughts about those three, since I haven't seen a review on them on your channel yet :) Especially because you always compare them to other mice that share their strong points, and give insight on the grip styles. That in turn might give a better understanding of where your other reviews place a certain mouse with respect to grip style, size and comfort. Either way if you do it or not, thanks for your great reviews and keep it up! cheers
Exactly, did you get the wireless version? If yes, you dont have anything to envy this mice, even better, you have the wireless functionality with Logi's no latency tecnology. If you got the wired, its practically the same, only ergonomics should be of concern to you, but thats on a personal/preference level, not even Zy's review should intervene with your decision.
I own both actually, both are great. The buttons are slightly better on the G703, but there is a little extra weight which I am still experimenting with. I even added weight and I actually kind of like it being heavy.
this mouse is great Ive been using it for 3 years its super durable. I really like that you can purchase the side panels from the site to even further expand the mouses lifespan. Only after 3 years did I just now have to replace the side panels, good as new.
98 grams... thats light as fuck. Are you seriously saying thats too heavy? But eh, my previous mouse before i got the 310 weighed over 150 grams so maybe i have gotten used to heavy mice
dont take me wrong i am quite impressed that this featurefull mouse weighs in at 98 grams! This is steelseries flagship mouse where you see all the innovation they have been thinking about since the 700. i expected something more in the line of 115grams
Would be better if they stripped it of all the gimmicky features to save weight. Weight tuning system? To simply make the mouse as balanced as possible on all sides would be better and less complicated for the user. A depth sensor? Unnecessary, considering the mouse has a version of the latest sensor on the market. This mouse could be something so much better imo, if it were just the size and shape and the 3 side buttons. Would be one of the few large, yet lightweight mice out there, and would hold Zy's #1 spot, for example, much longer, regarding FPS mice.
Good review. I got a rival 600 after watching this video and finding out if the dimensions of the mouse would fit with my enormous hand and finger tip grip style (and preference for hard pads). Now that I've had it for a while, I aim really well with it, better than any other mouse aside from a g502. The right side is a bit of an issue as you've said though, I sometimes have to readjust my grip mid-game. I also wish it was a little lighter. Maybe I'll check out the Finalmouse Ultralight in time.
The g403 wireless turned out to be my perfect mouse after my EC1-A stopped tracking. I’ve used it for about a week now with some 12hr gaming sessions and I’ve never aimed better. I’m landing shots i never knew I could. Since I’ve been playing csgo for 4 years now I’ve gotten better every day with play time and good hardware. The G403 is amazing, comfortable and wireless! So happy I bought this instead of dropping $70 on an EC2-B (if Zowie put an actual scroll wheel, have a rubberized/glossy white coating options to choose while purchasing, AND go back to the EC1-A mouse feet then I’ll go back) For now this mouse is a winner and I couldn’t be happier with it.
As always good quality vod. sounds bitty mini advert but hey :D Hope more companies gonna send you stuff to overall review. I really enjoyed review of cougar with speed switches? i was so impressed to even buy one :D
Used this mouse for almost 2 months now. Loved it at first, however within the first few weeks the rubber grips came loose/peel/move and it's really bad if you're a low sens player on CSGO or just lift off while moving the mouse to the right in general (thumb grip gets caught on mat). Steelseries were kind enough to replace via RMA, however still the underlying issue being they've used double sided tape for the rubber grips. I've read others have had the same issue and very carefully reapplied the grips via superglue. I've personally trimmed mine down very carefully with a razor blade and they fit much nicer (seems like the rubbers too big for the embossed grooves). I'm going to try some stronger 3M heat resistant double sided tape, and if that doesn't work, i'll try carefully superglue all the grips back on... Scroll wheel could be a bit stiffer too imo but that might just be my preference. Mouse would be near flawless if the rubber grips fit better/more durable. I might just look into replacing with EC2-B seeing as Zowie are leading the way with their DyAc monitors+Blur Busters strobe utility, ps/2 port 8x keyboard, and stitched edged pads.
I've purchased a lot of mice over the years including the EC2, Deathadder and G502 but this is easily my favorite. It fit my grip and hand size perfectly. People have been saying it's teetering on too heavy for FPS games which is understandable. Personally my CSGO mouse was/is the CM Storm Recon and it's 100 grams so the Rival 600 is about the same for me personally but you should judge for yourself. The mouse so far seems durable but it's still brand new so can't really judge too much on that. I've had no trouble with the sensor or other technical issues. As I already mentioned it feels amazing and the build quality is well worth the $100 price tag. Love the scroll wheel as well. Definitely recommend for those looking to buy a gaming mouse. Although it is a bit pricey.
Just a note I would like to add. You say that Claw grip can go from 16 to 21 but looking at the color it really seems to be inside the RED zone. I'm prolly far from being the only person who think you need to be inside the green and at worst inside the early yellow but not in the orange or early red. Perhaps this should be made more clear? If I wouldn't have bought a G403 Wired, sold it to my employee to get the wireless version, I would jump tomorrow on that Rival 600. Before my G403 I had the Mionix Castor and previously a Rival 300 and that one was the first major step-up I've seen in a very long time from owning well over 10 mouses. It may sound like a dumb question but I think I saw on ur weight scale the mouse without cable. Unless you were really motivated to unscrew it from the mouse, does this do Wired/Wireless like the G403???
I'm looking for a new mouse. I have a Zowie FK2 right now and I'm doing fine with it. Although, I'm getting sick and tired of the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is very unreliable and is never working. I'd scroll down and it would go down but back up, so basically stays in the same place. I've been keeping my eye on two mice for a while. I'm interested in trying out the Logitech G502 or Steelseries 600. I've heard lots of great things about the Logitech G502, but have heard that it's a bit heavy. I've heard a lot of great things and mostly only positive things about the Steelseries 600, but since it's still decently new I'm not sure which one to get. Do you think that the Steelseries 600 would be solid and not have an issues? Or should I just the Logitech G502 to be on the safe side?
Just got this mouse and it is the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned. I previously used rival 700, ec2a and g403. ec2a is very comfortable but still rival 600 feels better
I would have purchased this mouse as my primary, except that i've seen many reviews claiming that the grip tape along either side of the mouse eventually comes off, as the adhesive heats up and gets "gooyie". regardless of price, i can't have this. that would drive me nuts. if they fixed this and even if they just removed it all together, i would HIGHLY consider getting this mouse. great review, thank you!!!
been using the Rival 100 for about a year and for its price its honestly a steal buy i have very long fingers compared to my palm and the 100 just feels a bit to small since I'm more comfortable palm griping and my ring finger keeps dragging so this looks like a really nice upgrade.
just bought this mouse switching from the g502 and this mouse feels so much better for me. on the g502 i was using a fingertip grip but i can comfortably palm this mouse and movements feel so natural. the buttons click so nicely too. i thought i wasnt going to like it at first but after switching to a palm grip movement in games feels so much nicer.
Removed the side rubber both sides. Now the mouse has improved grip and weight around 94g (+ cable when in use). For my hand(21x10,5), slightly better for aiming. Close to the EC1-A White. Thinking it deserves the top place now.
To answer a common question, the weight without the sides: 89g without right side, 89g without left side, 80g without both.

where is the new Corsair mouse review

Poltergon your #1 reviewer didn't mention the side grips get slippery, so if you lift the mouse its shit..

exactly, since i play a ton of quake i dont really trust many other reviewers other than him or the one true review, trying it in store
but you already bought it
I literally just bought the rival 600 and have had the g403 when I first saw his opinion on it. I have to say his reviews are spot on and since zy gave this mouse such praise, I expect the best from it.
Listen if you have a mouse like, the g403, The death adder, Zowie Fk1, or even a rival 300,
please stop complaing about how you were late, those mice are godlike and are well worth your moneys, if this video never was made, none of you would be saying that, and yall missing the point of his videos, its nt about whats the perfect mouse. its about the mouse that suits you the best
Agreed.
true
true, i have rival 300, it has some little problems, but after all - absolutely no regrets)
Thank you for making these kinds of videos because they are very helpful to me and rest of the people too :)

AliAlaa12 does the mouse wheel go left and right ?
Hey man how's your mice
@@officialAlexisMaun the mouse has problem with the glue from the rubber pads on the sides . Mine started to unglue , i googled and found lots of complains
The review is great, amazing as always but this mouse has some long term reliability issues. I have owned this mouse since August 2018 for your knowledge.
Issues: Double click or no click problem that requires a restart to fix once. (When the glitch occures it will either double click when you click or it will not)
The glue on the pads is really sticky but literally melts at body temperature so i recommend immediately taking off the pads when you get mouse and stick them back with super glue.
TL;DR: I like the mouse but make sure you are prepared when you buy it.
New models have better glue and it does not melt easily, I’ve used it for a few months and my hand usually gets hot

No homo, right?
This or the new Razer Viper?
Lmao
SteelSeries has nailed it again. Dammit SteelSeries! I just got my G502! Well I hope to try this out in the future.
Also I want to comment on this review. This is one of the best reviews that you have done. You already do reviews so in-depth, but this was very, very in-depth. You truely are the best tech reviewer :D
Thanks! I put a heap of extra work into this one, glad you noticed.
Yeah, I really like large and heavy mice, as I don't really lift my mouse often when playing CS:GO.
Download older firmware to get 7ms better click latency than the DA elite and zowies, the newer firmware of the 502 isnt as godlike in terms of click latency, 7ms is very significant honestly, if the weight isnt a problem you got yourself a gem
4:40 you can hold the dpi button to recalibrate it for your new surface.
For how long?
@@NadavShaknay like 3 or 4 sec
what do u mean by recalibrate it
I purchased this due to your reviews. My hand being 19.5 x 10 this mouse is perfect definitely worth the upgrade from my Razer mamba from 2012-2013
will this fit my hand 17 x 9.5 cm palm grip
If the sides are removable, then they can just release flatter sides for different grip styles.
Slooth 2K The question is if they will. They didnt even release new sensor for Rival 700 yet.
@@Rosaslav
It doesn't even need a new sensor to begin with.
Honestly it is such a pointless feature, unless the sensor is known to die frequently.
Oh finally someone else has one... it really is so comfortable!
to be honest I want Zowie (BenQ) to upgrade every technical thing in the Fk series /Za series /Ec series like sensors and stuff then each series will suit everyone perfectly
W6 FyXe I tried a white ZA13 and the clicks were great, way less stiff than the black version. But with it being white it's glossy and I didn't get on with this. The wheel was improved too i felt.
EC-b series comes equipped with 3360 sensor, so I would expect Zowie to release renewed ZA & FK models in the foreseeable future
I want a fk3
upgraded zowie mice will definitely be at the top
so long as they don't bump the price then that'd be amazing
They should totally release a flatter edged version of the right side of the mouse to make it more of an ambidextrous shape, and possibly making it lighter. It maight even be better for claw and fingertip then for some.
Anyway, great review Zy.
plz no lighter.. this is fine
You have weights to add. But lower minimum weight would be nice.
MegaTheJohny lighter mice objectively better for aim
Bought it for 90e and let me say it was worth the money. Thanks RJN for the video again :)
How is it now?
Thanks for your honest review man. I used your link to upgrade to this mouse from G502. Honestly it's thanks to you that I even know what my hand size is and which mice I should be even looking at.
Great to hear, and thanks for the support!
Also let me know what you think once you get it!
Definitely!
Steve Padd x
I can't really think of anything bad to say about it right now.
dropbeetsnotbombs and how is it now??
Yea man we wanna know
dropbeetsnotbombs how do you feel now??
Well, I bought it a few weeks ago, and all the issues like the rubber grip isn't sticky ect they are all false for me, it is an amazing mouse, not too big and extremely comfortable the DPI button doesn't get in the way, and the side buttons, despite being small, are actually easy to press.. It also doesn't feel cheap at all and is very balanced, for me the 'slippy' side grips aren't slippy for my hands and its just overall an incredible mouse. Its also a very good looking mouse and the software is so easy to use, with the, 8 RGB zones, its almost a game in itself, some effects you can do are insane, I would recommend this mouse to anyone who loves gaming
just found your channel, really like it. have been playing arena fps and fps for a long time and it's amazing that there is a guy reviewing hardware who also understands what some people really want in their reviews. thank you
I usually don't like steelseries for mice and I prefer logitech, but this is a game changer
mind telling why? :)
MrYong Like zy said, it's got weights, it's light, the build quality looks and sounds really well and it looks comfortable just by looking at it. If this had the same omron left and right buttons, I would choose this over the g403 instantly
@-Sensei if you like logiteh, use the G502
IAM DURACELL the scrollwheel is shit it shakes when u flick

Just picked up this mouse today after watching a bunch of your videos. Thanks for making such incredibly detailed and informative reviews.
ZYYYYYYYY another great review. Thanks.
Thanks Siri!
you're such a high quality reviewer bro, ill try to get money for it as soon as i can. i currently use the g203 and i saw this mouse fits perfectly with my hand
Still rocking my EC-2A. Tried the fk2 and it's a bit too small for me. I have wide palms. This looks interesting. Maybe when my ec2a is dead I'll have a look at this. Got the ec2a because of this channel. Mouse rocks.
edboogie78 Boogie Then you might try FK1 or FK1+ since they are bigger than FK2
Rostislav Hašek I've actually thought about that. The ec2a just seems to fit my hand perfectly. Thanks
Thanks for the video Zy. I already bought my g900 ages ago but I still come to your channel since it is just SO entertaining. Keep up the good work!
Hey, when you get the chance, please review the new Rival 650
Im still rocking the G502 and don't want nothing else for now, great review like always!
I had this mouse for a few months before the rubber grips actually completely slipped off, great product, other than the fact that my hands were stuck to my mouse mid game and I had to buy a new one.
Charzar what mouse
Just bought the Rival 600 yesterday. I would have to agree that it's an awesome mouse!!
Really sad to hear, thanks for letting me know!
I can relate completely. Does a 2.5 month old order through Amazon qualify for return? Please help.
This is pure, unbiased review at its finest.
thank you bro best mouse ever! i switched from G403 took me a day to like it. WOW DAY AND NIGHT
Is the mouse large?
I really like the feel of the rival 600 using it upside down if you can imagine the sensor in the back any suggestions?
Best reviewer ever! Thanks for reviewing the FK2, everything you said on that video was legit. Its now my favourite mouse overtaking the Razer Abyssus and steelseries sensei pro in my list. Thanks!
Ye im using Logitech B110 which has plastic all over it so a bit sweat gives a good hold xd
I get a buzz when u upload.
i got a good mouse and still tune in to your videos as they are so well done.
happy new year, mate!
Hi what do you think of the rival 650?
same mouse but wireless
@@benjaminmartinsson726 and heavier.
Love your channel. Not others are like yours nowadays. Quick and straight to the point
The design is cool but I’m worried about the grip of the mouse and the weight also the lift of distance(that’s why I like Zowie because I’m an aggressive player so flickin is common)
btw I kinda don’t understand what “lift of distance “ is and how the hard disk test works ?.?
“hard disk test works” messed up my tongue there lmao
Lift off Distance is how high the sensor can go while still tracking. Pros prefer 0 because many times, lifting the mouse while it's tracking can through off your aim.
hard disk test is something where you put a mouse on top of 2 cd/disks. This allows you to judge the distance between the sensor picking up movement, or ignoring it.
Xcalium ok thx
Echo tech ok I understand now thx
Don't think anymore!I bought it and its shit! NO GRIP AT ALL!
i was debating what mouse i should get for awhile then this video comes out and this mouse is your new #1, feelsgoodman i know what im getting
Honestly after using my g403 for a few months I can't go back to a wired mouse
I honestly don't think I can ever go back to wired after g403 wireless freedom.

I can imagine that you are trying to put as much info as possible in the video, but you really should work on pacing and intonation, even at the price of longer video.
i like it.
Finally decided to order mine! So excited!
have you ever tried a paracord before
Wasn't intereted in this mouse at all but I watch all your videos anyway since you talk about other mice in them and I learn something new or get reminded to something intersting each time.

Please review the Ducky Channel SECRET M, btw great video!
One thing I noticed with using the Rival 600 for a few months, is that it can rock backwards causing some minor tracking issues if you are using a palm grip while pushing the mouse into the mousepad, but adding weights in the front will help with it.
Along with my opinion it's a great mouse.
This mouse looks great
Rocket ninja: its a bad mouse
Nvm
finally a video where u talk about the grip on the right side of the mouse!!!!!!!!!!
Julian Warren thank you for helping me I also found a different mouse called the g403
Ive had mine for over a year now, absolutely nothing wrong with it. BenQ version ofc.
Either way if you do it or not, thanks for your great reviews and keep it up!
cheers

I just got my 310 why!
They release mice too often
You and me both. Son of a GUN lol
ALL those are great mices, why are you guys complaining? Its just another new mouse.
i agree pablo, the 310 is arguably better in SOME aspects and it is cheaper and the 700 has everything but the aesthetics and second sensor
I tried the 600 in Currys pc world and i don't like it all that much. I own the 310 and it feels way better
Another great review with a brand new kickass mouse. Ty sir!!
I just got the g403 dang it
alex pham G403 still could be a better mouse for you
Exactly, did you get the wireless version? If yes, you dont have anything to envy this mice, even better, you have the wireless functionality with Logi's no latency tecnology. If you got the wired, its practically the same, only ergonomics should be of concern to you, but thats on a personal/preference level, not even Zy's review should intervene with your decision.
I own both actually, both are great. The buttons are slightly better on the G703, but there is a little extra weight which I am still experimenting with. I even added weight and I actually kind of like it being heavy.
i like the wired version cause i like lightweighted mouse
this mouse is great Ive been using it for 3 years its super durable. I really like that you can purchase the side panels from the site to even further expand the mouses lifespan. Only after 3 years did I just now have to replace the side panels, good as new.
To bad it weighs as much as a bowl of oatmeal
98 grams... thats light as fuck. Are you seriously saying thats too heavy? But eh, my previous mouse before i got the 310 weighed over 150 grams so maybe i have gotten used to heavy mice
justkilledit21 good point...
dont take me wrong i am quite impressed that this featurefull mouse weighs in at 98 grams!
Would be one of the few large, yet lightweight mice out there, and would hold Zy's #1 spot, for example, much longer, regarding FPS mice.
i agree with you. But this series from steelseries is meant to be innovative, gimmicky. they have the rival 310 and more for hardcore gamers
The design is so ugly...
So happy I bought this instead of dropping $70 on an EC2-B (if Zowie put an actual scroll wheel, have a rubberized/glossy white coating options to choose while purchasing, AND go back to the EC1-A mouse feet then I’ll go back)
For now this mouse is a winner and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Bought this mouse today, and I already love it!
As always good quality vod.
sounds bitty mini advert but hey :D
Hope more companies gonna send you stuff to overall review.
That's sad to hear, thanks for sharing though. I'll keep an eye on it, see if something can be done.
OH BOI! I was doubting Steelseries... But now I know what Brand I'm Collecting mice for sure.
Thanks to you. I have bought most of the mice you recommended and now I don't have place to put them. They are all perfect :D
Or should I just the Logitech G502 to be on the safe side?
first thing I thought was "damn, this mouse feels so good". My very next thought was " damn, this mouse is fricking huge"
Just got this mouse and it is the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned. I previously used rival 700, ec2a and g403. ec2a is very comfortable but still rival 600 feels better
I just ordered one. Thanks for the review. I’ll come back in a few days and let all know what I think, if anyone cares. :)
I would have purchased this mouse as my primary, except that i've seen many reviews claiming that the grip tape along either side of the mouse eventually comes off, as the adhesive heats up and gets "gooyie".
regardless of price, i can't have this. that would drive me nuts. if they fixed this and even if they just removed it all together, i would HIGHLY consider getting this mouse.
great review, thank you!!!
ordered mine today. amazing review as always
Great review, you’ve convinced me to buy this mouse, I’ll definitely be using your affiliate.
Got this mouse today and i must say, this mouse is absolutely amazing this is amazing
@T Λ D Ξ I had to sell the mouse but i have got friends ans they all said no... if uou can get the G pro wireless i highly suggest it
been using the Rival 100 for about a year and for its price its honestly a steal buy i have very long fingers compared to my palm and the 100 just feels a bit to small since I'm more comfortable palm griping and my ring finger keeps dragging so this looks like a really nice upgrade.
just bought this mouse
switching from the g502 and this mouse feels so much better for me. on the g502 i was using a fingertip grip but i can comfortably palm this mouse and movements feel so natural. the buttons click so nicely too. i thought i wasnt going to like it at first but after switching to a palm grip movement in games feels so much nicer.
Really DOPE reviewy man.GL in the future
Removed the side rubber both sides. Now the mouse has improved grip and weight around 94g (+ cable when in use). For my hand(21x10,5), slightly better for aiming. Close to the EC1-A White. Thinking it deserves the top place now.
