- The SteelSeries Rival 650 is one of the best wireless gaming mice we've tested in 2018 but is its performance equal to a high price. More importantly, can it compete with the cheaper Logitech G Pro Wireless?

Dave2D is happy with the gameplay
HAhahaAHhahAhhahaha
But for real, though, that was some pretty damn nice gameplay.
Linus vs Dmitry
Jk Linus only plays with bots
At least it's not Fortnite. lul
a little bit rude but,
F**K Dave2D
From a 4400 OW comp player, he sucks so bad and he complains LOL
Crazy how Dimitry called over Chris Pratt just to do the intro to this video with him.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do 👏
I remember the first Hardware Canucks video I watched I actually thought it was Chris Pratt b4 I clicked on it lol
Me: mom can I have Chris Pratt
Mom: We Have Chris Pratt at Home

Rival 650 wireless just arrived today. Very impressed, keep in mind I love heavy mice and my hands are very big so if your hands are small this mouse definitely isnt for you. I loaded up all weights on both sides and this mouse is phenomenal. I was stuck between g pro wireless and rival 650 wireless. Glad I went with steel series but I still want a wireless g pro lol but I have to have those hotline games anti slip grips on it or g pro is a no go
Any gaming mouse would be epic with Dimitri's CSGO skills. That is one mad lad.
Lol Dimitri's CSGO skills!!
I wanna see Dimitry vs Edzel (from LTT).
A lot of people are complaining about heavy mice. I ordered this one because my 300 broke. I just found out that my Rival 300 is 130 grams. Knowing this, I can safely say that heavy mice are pretty nice. Keeps your aim steady.
Just picked this up for $58 cause of sales so very excited to be going wireless for the first time! Thank you for the review man!
Just got one for myself, how is it after 1 month?
@@janisjukna7849 absolutely in love with it. You can use it while it charges and it doesn't take long to charge. I usually charge it once a week that's with roughly 4-5 hours a day of use with some illumination turned on.
@@themenace1997 updates now?
I have been using this mouse for almost 4 years. I love it. I have never regreted buying this mouse.
Everyone who talks about the weight never says how its not any heavier than the the rival 300 the are almost identical in weight and the rival 300 is corded.. and if your a fan or steelseries mice than the weight is not an issue i personally prefer it i even added one weight on each side towards the front. And the cpi button isn't in my way but I have big hands and my fingers are on the main buttons at all times so it doesnt get in my way :) the third side button is great. And as far as battery life I got mine a week ago and i used it for three days at medium gaming and hard browsing and it didn't get charged til the third day when I decided it could use it but it wasnt dead at all it was still in the orange/ half life so it has an amazing battery unlike the g502 which can't have the lights on or it dies fast :) good video though man loved it :)
This mouse is great, I own couple of High-quality mice and I see myself keep coming back to the Rival 600, not a 650 but pretty much same thing without the wireless. Imo this is one of the best looking mice I have seen and BY-FAR the best RGB customization i ever seen! You can customize each 8 zones and the if you do it right blending the colors in 'Color Shift" mode just looks so dam beautiful. I say this mouse is great for Finger-tip and Claw-Grip or Hybrid Style users. The True-Move 3 Sensor is very accurate, just like the 3366 Sensors. The Thumb/Side buttons are ok, but my main complaint would be the 3rd Thumb/Side button which I think its nearly impossible to get to, especially if you need to press it on an impulse in a competitive game or somethin', and I have average sized hands. I really love how intuitive the Steel Series Engine is, especially setting up your Dpi, Angle Snap, Poll, etc, but I really do not like how you cannot tell when your switching between the "2" Dpi settings, but only by feel. A small notify pop-up window would of been nice. But overall a great mouse, and a mice I would strongly recommend for competitive FPS game play, either the Rival 600 or 650.
i use that third button on the side for task manager and that is actually super convenient
I actually prefer a heavy mouse. It's why I fell in love with the G502: Ergo comfort AND weight.
If you don't like the dpi shift, you can disable it in the steelseries engine.
meanwhile i'm stuck with a razer mamba wireless, much more expensive ... and it came with the usual razer bugs, including mouse stutter, unresponsiveness, and fast battery *dis* charge....
Sell it
Same thing with this shit
I re-watched that intro so many times
I freaking love heavy mice. I currently use a Corsair Glaive and I just bought a new laptop, so I think this will be a perfect match with the new laptop.
Congrats with 1million subs
It’s 100% deserved
That boat has sailed a while ago
bought for rgb, not disapointed. obviously i looked at other factors but the lack of good customization on the proteus spectrum (g503) was my main motivation for switching
dang that beat drop at 16 with the guns went perfect
Hey Dmitry, good job. I will say it again, your mouse reviews are on the same level as RJN and you nicely complement each other thanks to different style of reviews.
Got to love the dual Dimitri (Dd!) intros ;)
No, it's Chris Pratt and Dimitry.

The G Pro still is a clear winner (not just because of weight but also all the other technologies it packs) but it's _very_ nice to see other companies trying their hands at viable wireless mice. Regardless of what people say or think, wireless IS the future. Steelseries still has a ways to go but I fully support their initiative.
the real king is logitech g 903 ; )
@@ahsanamir2476 As it stands right now, the G Pro Wireless is the most advanced wireless mouse ever made. It is technologically better than the G903. Subjectively better? Probably not. Whatever mouse is your favorite will be king _for you_
Implosay I still prefer g502
I view it as more of a competitor to the G502's since it has an identical weight to the wired G502 and it has a weight system as well. Nowadays, the G502 has a wireless version in the form of the G502 Lightspeed that comes in at 114 g without the additional weights.
In the description it says that can it "compete" with the "cheaper" g pro wireless but is says it's more expensive in the video. Wut?!
I have a big hand. rival 310 is also my favourite mouse. too bad they didn't make a wireless version of the 310.
congrats for your video editing skills, always great videos, love this channel
I have a rival 310 mouse, still love it!
Same, my favorite mouse.
0:27 "This thing is pretty damn good", more like I'm pretty damn good at CS:GO
I think Dmitry is a pro in counter strike.
He is good, but not even close to the skill level of pro players tbh.
Agreed 💪 I suck compared to Globals.
@Barkin Bryce no they don't, most pros are basically Smurfs on mm, they play on a higher skill level on faceit and esea
@Barkin Bryce not even lol have you seen s1mple and the other pros they're dropping 40+ I think s1mple even dropped a 56 on a global game
well i have over 8k hours in cs.go and i can safely say Dimitry is not even DMG
I have never trusted wireless mice so I use the rival 600 and absolutely love it
3:51 WHAT why is the logo showing through the hand i aint buying cause the RGB will distract me in gaming.
"and don't worry about popping off while game because that will never happen." OOOOFFF the burns bro
Hello i have a question i see you test rival 700 me just buy rival 710 but now i refound it because its too heavy in the back no have good balance for weight and now i want to order this mouse but i want to know this feel like rival 700 or have a good balance this time??
Just bough the mouse, so happy with it. I feel like a little "heavier" mouse feels more rigid, feels like quality. If your hands are so weak you get a disadvantage from using 120g mice, then you prob should change something else in your life, not the mouse :D Its the best mouse of 2018/2019 in my oppoinon. Just a stellar mouse!
have the sides started to come off like other owners have said ?
ive been using it for a really long time and i aboslutely love it
Hardware Canucks : So you can wrap it around your keyboard cable
Wireless Keyboard Users : Am i a joke to you
can we start getting wireless mice with more side buttons?
Basically g502 lightspeed
Rog spatha have 6 sides button plus 2 top on the side button and dpi button
Logitech g602

New steelseries Aerox 9?
I can't buy Steelseries anymore. I'm afraid some misandrist hate group called BullyHunters will come after me.
Lmao
@@_Code.Pilot_ what are you on about? i got a rival 600, best mouse ive ever used

At least they give a RMA lmao.
The best part of this channel is that Dmitri doesn't suck at video games, unlike some other tech channels xD
Did not really understand steelseries hype till i bought this mouse. It feels REALLY GOOD. Especially compared to the Corsair Scimitar I own previously.
Have your rubber side grips started coming off yet?
I've got a Steelseries Rival mouse, I don't recommend it! The scroll wheel didn't live long and the spring of the button became too stiff too early. I also bought a Steelseries mechanical keyboard (Cherry Black), it was death on arrival: one key didn't registre or registred twice or triple (sometimes not, sometimes double or triple), it might have been dust but the quality control is not good if that happens. Obviously it went back to the shop and I took one of Corsair instead.
I have been using the gpro wireless for a while. It's amazing. If you are a fan of lightweight mouse and good battery life, you cannot go wrong with it.
Just get the g603. Its cheaper, it has a better sensor, and it lasts for more than 300h (I have it so I confirm this is true). IMO, its the best of the market for that price no doubt (you can get it for like 60 dollars US new)
same here. thats what i use, probably I'm biased but its so good
300h? I have been using this mouse nearly 2 months. Battery is still full (4-5 hour daily usage)
i had the g603 for 1 week and the sensor stopped working so i returned it and i bought the rival 600 and i'm glad that i did and im now looking to buy the 650
better sensor ?
did u even try the 650 to say that ?
i had the rival 600 and it is one of the best sensors i used after my corsair glaive
im gonna buy that 650 for sure
i returned my g603 because i didn't feel comfortable with it
i've been using logitech g502 and rival 600 and both are so comfortable to me
Thumbs up for the Quake gameplay!!!
The big question is that if there is any difference in response time compared other wired gaming mice.
I have both the 310 and 600. They are both damn good mice, but for now I use the g502 by Logitech. I fricking love pc peripherals!
Dave lee: you need to make the gameplay you show interesting like I do
Dmitri: hold my beer
Finally, it took me 4 months to get this video
Im sorry for what im about to say to anyone whos wondering about this mouse:
im super picky when it comes to wireless mice, i've decided that this is the best mouse for my preferences and it was, until..
right after the 2 year warranty ended, the mouse got critical update error which bricked the mouse and it was beyond any repair, so i bought another same model, not even 3 months later, my mouse stopped responding, the repair center said that this is wireless usb receivers malfunction so they replaced it with a new one. fast forward to this day, my not even 1 month old mouse stops responding again, honestly it has little to none sustainability. Besides the software malfunctions this is still the most comfortable gaming mouse i've ever had.
People always knock a heavier mouse. But if you're a high-sensitivity player, a heavier mouse is better. Long as everything else is same and weight distribution is good, a heavier mouse is better for a high-sensitivity player. But low-sensitivity players, I can see why you'd knock it for that.
"how do we make this mice more expensive?"
"I have an idea, remove the wire!"
You literally put every mouse on Earth in your description, to link them to buy them, but not the one you're reviewing.
The one for the 650 wireless is literally qt the top
On the right side of the mouse the rubber side is coming off any way to fix??
Im using the 30 dollar corsair harpoon mouse. I'd like to think buying the rival 600 is a good upgrade. Does anyone agree? Is it worth upgrading?
im just gonna say that ive had this mouse for a while, i basically got it when it was new. Since then i have only had one problem with it. the 3 pads on the side have slowly started melting as i use it more and more often, but it can easily be fixed my removing the pads and cleaning the glue off the pads, then using super glue to reattach them. This might just be me, because i leave my mouse on for an inhuman amount of time but im just saying this for those people out there experiencing the same issue.
Dimitry is the only man that can make a mouse sound like a god
I thought steel series was apart of Logitech for some reason
DeathCharge YO SAME I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT AND ONEDAY I WAS JUST LIKE “ wait wtf no they’re not “
After I lay my hands on rival 310, I'm a steelseries fanboi for life. At least for mices for sure!
Light > Heavy in most games. I used heavy mice for a quite long time in games and liked it, but men for competitive games light mouse are so good
Chris Pratt, you are quite talented.
For those with small hands like me;
I’d recommend the Logitech G603 for wireless, comes in a black or white color, 90 grams (if memory serves right) no RGB
For wired then the Logitech G Pro wired (confusing name yes) same size as the wireless, also 90 (again if memory serves) black or white variant and has RGB
I actually own both of them and I had the wired one since launch and it still works amazing so I’m confident with the build quality. It’s only been a couple of months for me with the wireless and I honestly can’t tell the difference in tracking.
Good luck on NoNutNovember!
i got the g305 today in the mail. it was a needed upgrade since mouse 3 on my old mouse started registering triple clicks. it also had sensor rattle. after a few games, it felt so good playing with logitech wireless that it made me fail nnn
Honestly I wouldn't recommend G603 like mice for small hands. I have G403 with medium hand and it is slightly bigger than ideal for me. Sure it is comfy, but not ideal for gaming.
i bought my own one a week or 2 ago and i can say i fell in love with it. For the macro buttons i didn't find any problem. Even for the one that is far away. it's a good mouse for a big hand.
Agreed. Is more comfortable than majority of Logitech mice in my opinion.
I have the rival 600 and i love it
As do I. Best mouse I've ever used
I'm planning on buying one! Looks like a sick mouse !
My rival 600 just broke i don’t know why somethimes i does not proces the clicks and it’s shaky
Describe your dream mouse. Mine would be a gpro body and sensor. death adder side buttons, 2 large skates for mouse feet, ultralight holes, and a paracord.
I have 600 and it's unbelievable
Honestly for my next mouse or if i decide to make a htpc to hook up to my tv and get a mouse this will be my second wireless mouse that hasnt failed me as for my ouroborros its still holding up years later compared to what people said about it
Steelseries mouse and keyboard has some quality control products, a lot of people resell their mouse and keybaord after a 2 or 3 months usage here in my country, I'm so glad didn't buy rival 600. I bought their M750 keyboard and it only last 2 months before some key (i never use) not responsive anymore
and it only come with 1 years replacement warranty, while Logitech give 2 years warranty.
Is it any good for people with large hands or is it made for child size hands? Reviewers never make this pont. Small mice cause hand cramps and numb fingers for people with large hands. My hand is 8 1/4 inches from wrist to fingertips. Abnormally large I know but most mice are really small.

I hope they do the Rival 550. It is my favorite mouse and is due for a revision soon I'd think.
I feel like this mouse is more closer and comparable to g502 lightspeed rather than the g pro wireless, I mean the g502 is wireless, heavy, and sorta similar in other areas right?

Idk... I have a love for steelseries mice, my first mice was a steelsearis , can't wait to get my first mouse
My Razer Atheris has been working fine for me personally. With eneloop batteries I get months of use out of it
I just ordered one for 90 euros. It was originally 135 euros. Pretty dam happy :)
Hello, what was the games you were playing? Love the review, going to get one, Love Steelseries.
How can i see the battery percentage in Steeleries GG? It only shows an icon with bars
I don't think I'll ever replace my g903 unless it stops working.
I replaced mine with this, better grip and better macro software.
Should I take rival 650 or g903?I want a light mouse and a nice shape
@@NightcoreMusickillafonic6789 I think the 650 is the better mouse. I got the g903 shortly before the 650, and it was basically the very best of the best for gaming. The only thing worse in the 650 is the looks and the weight, which are are both relative. Everything else on the 650 seems to be better, so that should be your choice.
get hyper-glides for this mouse especially for the low sense players because the mouse feet seem to be not so smooth after a while kinda rough actually
im still waiting for HyperX alloy FPS RGB review
people are hating this mouse because its weight
its the same weight as the logitech g502 and i got used to it
yea its not a big deal
All I ask for is A mouse with the Logitech g pro weight the steel series rgb and can switch from Bluetooth to wireless
Love ur edits
I'm just sad that this mouse doesn't have a charging station. In saying that, I think Dimitry missed out on how this mice is charged at all. Does it use USB C or proprietary?
Does this get warm due to the battery ? Got a Razer Naga Trinity and it's warmer than other mice, making my palms sweaty.
2:55 Well the grips have said to become slippery over time...
Dealing with this right now, have had it for a year and they've started to slide/come off.
DPI/CPI can only be configured in multiples of 100, which is ridiculously unacceptable for the price.
Nice I might switch to this mouse and other steelseries stuff my current mouse keyboard and wireless headset is showing its age. :(
The keyboard is Tesoro Gram TKL.
My favorite wireless mouse is the ASUS Spatha it has the necessary buttons I need it's great for my palm grip/hand size and I personally prefer heavier mice the only thing I wish it had was the wireless charging ability that I think Corsair has on one of there wirless mice then it would be the perfect wireless mouse for me
Knowing the steelseries, there will be problems with quality control... When they mass produce new products, there are always problems
So...steelseries is the razer 2.0 now ?
@@Ikhsanratdith i would say that steelseries is worse than razer, I was against razer for so long, but they got better over the years. Pleasant suprise indeed.
Mine doesn't
I bought 2 rival 600 and i know have the rival 650
The reason i bought the 2 rivals because i broke the first one smashing it to the wall
I gotta say that i never had issues with the software or the hardware
The only issue happend that the mouse rgb will start malfunctioning but that only happened once for me
So yeah I'm a long time user and that is my best 2 mices I've ever used
Yes because logitech doesnt have issues, I had to replace two of my g703 coz of the scroll wheel not to mention logitech software is garbage which actually was my main point in switching to this mouse with my keyboard.
@@Bogdo1987 I've never experienced that. Razer has always been bad. Steelseries hasn't failed me yet
i always used logitech then my g903 got broke down. then i bought this mice but my 4th finger is not comfortable the right side is to low to hold it with that finger. so i cant control the mice that well.
I don`t see how a heavy mouse, which can be adjust
is a problem. Same for a larger mouse.
I actually prefer this all the time.
I have way more control and precious with heavier mouse and i just can`t fit on small mouse.
So the weight of the mouse is about preference. I play FPS and i prefer heavier and larger mouse.
Whoever said with light mouse you aim better - he knows nothing and is talking bc.c
Also way lighter mouse will mean s*** materials most of the time.
SteelSeries Rival 650 is way better than a G Pro Wireless in my mind, and its way cheaper as well.
