( copied and pasted from Kaho’s video, but i thought y’all should hear this here:) okay to everyone that thinks she’s stealing sleepys style lemme just say this, this video shows how they differ, the only real resemblance I can see is the fact that the eyes looked sort of similar to sleepy’s old style, but as you can see she branched our and made her own mark kaho’s style is was more cartoony and the anatomy is a bit stiff but still very appealing. her shading is good and i can tell you’ve been working on fixing your sfs sleepy’s style is a lot more proportional and the style differs from Kaho’s a lot. i guess that their eyes share a similar look, both having a brownie gold fur coat. but are they the same? no not at all, in my opinion i think both girls are extremely talented especially for their age, kaho is 14 i believe correct me if i’m wrong and sleepy is 16/17. i’m incredibly proud to see how far you’ve both come in such a short time and i’m excited to see what you both create in the future! great video guys! edit july 10th thank you all for your nice comments, i was expecting hate but you all suprised me:)

They’re both so great! And we even get a side by side comparison so those that say Kaho is copying Sleepy’s style can see that there’s a great big difference between the styles and designs of the characters. Great job, guys!

I mean honestly the only notable difference is her use of gradients. Sure, when you really get down to the nitpicky details there are some things you can point out but to the naked eye it looks VERY similar. If I had clicked this without any context of who either of you are, I'm very certain I would have just assumed both characters were drawn by the same person. *But there's nothing wrong with that*. There is no such thing as "style theft" or whatever the hell people are calling it. It's a very lovely style, you are both very talented. It's great that you two are friends and that she has no issue with your style having been originally inspired by her. But even if she wasn't fine with it, there would STILL be nothing wrong with you using this style. It's insane to me that some people genuinely believe that every single person on the whole goddamn internet has to have their very own distinguishable style, not even remotely inspired by anyone else. Just ridiculous. Inspiration from other artists is a big part of how we learn and grow. And if an artist is particularly drawn to someone's style, and wants their art to look similar to it and puts in the time and effort to learn how to draw that way, then it is completely within their right to do so!
