As a person who had to wear the exact same uniform for eight long years, I admit, it's ridiculously painful to live with all of these questionable dress codes Edit: By the time I graduated me and all of my classmates were practically screaming in joy at how we were finally free from dress code that day
Fr, especially the fact an elementary school cares if you could dye your hair or wear a certain color as a jacket. Same with last year when i went to middle school. This year i transferred and dresscodes arent a thing. Plus some students in the school dont even know what it is 😂
@Ava_ur_mum my dress codes are about HAIR (Unless you wear a hijab) you can only have short hair, braids, ponytails and just your hair up. Luckily i wear a hijab to school :3
I honestly feel bad for you. My 2 schools weren't very strict, and the only rules either of them had was 'no skirts or shorts above underwear' and no 't-shirts with sexual or violence propaganda'. The only rules in that school I really hated was 'no carrying backpacks around in middle school' (I had multiple classes HALFWAY across the campus, and it was a REAL pain to walk all the way back) and 'no bringing things into the cafeteria'(Which was pretty much the same, I had to run all the way back from the cafeteria, which was on the opposite side of the school, to put my stuff back because the teacher didn't allow it. And the lines at much were SUPER long.)
So as someone who goes to a private school and doesn't have a uniform, I'm very proud of the dress code that we have. We are allowed to wear tank tops (yes even cropped) we are allowed to wear skirts past our knees we can have bob cuts etc. The only thing that I don't like about it is that we are not allowed to wear shirts with Disney or smth like that on it. My friends say that they want uniforms which I think there crazy when they say that💀
I’m jealous I literally go to a public school and we can’t wear tank tops and if our stomachs show if we lift our arms all the way up and someone sees us like that it’s against the rules. One time for pajama day my friend had to wear a unicorn onesie all day because she had a tank top on underneath
The more i hear your story, the more I'm convinced that we both attend the same school because of how STUPIDLY strict the dresscode is: -Limited hair style (Check) (Girls had like 3 and boy had like 2) -Say no no to dye dye (check) -Your hair is longer than 3 inches?! TO THE OFFICE YOU GO!! (check) Luckily they didn't have the jacket rule, because it was constantly sunny most of the year and teachers didn't want the student to all get severe cases of sunburn. Love the video, I'm excited for future content :))
i had the DUMBEST rule.. it was.. *drumroll please!!!* we could **NOT** wear ripped jeans... not like the normal ones.. LIKE IF THERE WAS A TINY HOLE... WE WOULD GET SENT TO THE OFFICE-
Kaitlyn: NOT EVERYONE LOOKS GOOD WITH THEIR HAIR UP, SANDRA! My school also had that rule against hairstyles, and I don't look good with ponytail look, but fortunately I'm in college now ;)
I remember that in first grade (Russian school, mind you) the school staff decided to give all of the kids that are in same class the same uniform: the one that i was in had a shapeless, sleeveless "dress" for girls/west with the schools name and emblem and only the west for boys and oh, god it was awful. We weren't allowed to wear anything on top of it if it covered the emblem, and im sure that the whole world is aware on how cold it can get in winter in Russia especially. This held up right until we got to the 5th grade (the point where kids transition into middle school in the same school), when for some reason dress-code disappeared and everyone wore what they wanted to (still being reasonable tho). We were reprimanded by the staff still, but it wasnt all that serious And now in college they want us to wear formal wear and short hair for men, tied up hair for woman. Some guy was reprimanded right infront of everyone for wearing his long hair up with a makeup head band (the fluffy one with the ears) and asked to take it off. Man, like, we're all 18 and over here, plus we're in a BUILDING college, let my guy have his hair up if he wants to keep it long. It does no harm for him nor the college. Oh and admin staff often looks at me weirdly for my bright blue hair (im a 'manly' woman who likes blue, yup)
IKR. I have to keep my hair tied, they're SHORT asf, and it makes me look kinda bald, and gladly, no uniforms, but not too open, and my gosh, they don't allow hair dye!! WHEN THE FIRST GRADERS HAVE RED HAIR, BLUE HAIR!!
Such a good video! Highly agreed dress codes are stupid. Our teachers have literally threatened us to cut off our bracelets with scissors. They literally said: no hair dye which isnt natural, no nailpolish, no colourful hair accessories, no jewelry unless relgious purposes and yet no one listens 😅
my school bans those (excluding jewelry i think) but they don't threaten the students if they wore those specific features. just telling them to remove it or smth.
we can’t have our hair down, can’t dye our hair(not even natural colors),can’t wear anything on our uniform inside school, can’t have bang(cuz of that i am balding my hair is too heavy to keep and i need to cut my hair cuz of school😢),no makeup, and in case of PE uniforms can’t tie your jacket around your waist can’t even stop wearing your jacker and have to have a white Tshirt and we have to die of heat because of it simply put our school banned everything so good luck
Yes! I went to a school that had multiple of these things! We weren’t allowed to have our hair down, but it was less strict than yours. We were allowed to wear it however we wanted as long as it was tied up lol. We also weren’t allowed to have our jackets tied around our waists and had to wear ties. Bearing in mind, I would’ve been around eight to nine at this time; it was the most uncomfortable thing ever! Glad others have had the same experiences 😭😂
Okay, but I love how you do this! The mixed Gacha and drawing is so awesome, along with the storytelling side! I don’t know how to explain how much I love this style, so I’ll just go with this: You’re doing awesome, and yeah dress codes suck :D
Hi Kaitlyn! I just wan to say how grateful I am for you. Your videos make me laugh often and feel valued (like the glasses one because I understand the pain). I’ve been watching your channel since the start five years ago. I love seeing how much you’ve grown as a creator and a person! Keep staying your positive and lovely self!
I was so excited when I saw that you posted! I love all your videos and it was definently worth the wait! My school has basic uniforms and we are allowed to wear jackets/sweaters around our waists, but we have to wear school sweaters/jackets. We also can't have colored hair because it's supposedly "distracting"

Every School In Turkey/Turkiye: -Don't let your hair down, if you don't tie your hair up, you will have to tie it with rubber band. -No colored hair (even it looks natural) -No make up -You have to get more than %70 in Turkish Class to pass -No jewelry -No phones in school (they will take it away and don't give back until your parent comes to school) -You can't wear another jacket without wearing your school's jacket (some schools have jackets with their uniforms) -You can't take a pencilcase that looks like a toy(having too much colors + in most schools) -There is no test part in exams, only parts that you need to write so you can't randomize your answer -You have 2 minutes (in middle school), 1 minute(in high school and university) in exams to solve a maths question (it usually has like a one page paragraph)
I live in the UK and the school I went to also had insane dress codes, our uniform consisted of a white shirt, black pants or skirt, a black blazer and a tie, the teachers would go on a rant if our shirts weren't buttoned up all the way, if our shirts weren't tucked in or if we weren't wearing our blazer or tie (some students would often lose their ties and would have to pay £5 for a new one). When the weather was boiling hot, we still had to wear our black blazers.
Not gonna lie, that “What are the school staff gonna tell my parents about me wearing a jacket tied around my waist?” They definitely knew how stupid they sounded. 😂🤣💀💀
ITS CRAZY HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR ANIMATIONS LOOK SO GOOD!! Srsly, a huge inspiration to other GachaTubers :) And ngl, dress codes are flat out weird in a lot of cases! At my old school, they had us not be allowed to have nails longer than a centimeter ?
Who else agrees with me on the fact that Kaitlyn’s art style and drawings are just PHENOMENAL? Like the art is SO cute and beautiful plus how does she even have the patience to do that?! I’d be lucky if I drew for an hour without running out if patience 😂
As a prefect in my school, it's totally relatable to me and what's worse in my school is that we even have the limitations to girls' hair tie options, hair clip options, and even have a specific measuring accessory to measure your hair just in case if it has gone through the rules or not, which is pretty much really unnecessary but a strict rule against the students' hair. I guess our headmaster or whoever made these rules just think that "it's not a fashion show, kid, you're in school."
As someone going to the same school franchise, I basically have recolor uniforms every 2-3 years. The only thing we’re allowed to express if we don’t have a free dress pass, are jewelry, painted nails, and hairstyle. But also, just it’s nice knowing I don’t have to think of what to wear every day.
My old school uniforms was rompers the worst thing in the world. They were so uncomfortable itchy and they were really hot to wear in the summer because it was so freaking heavy so that is why I hate rompers.
Im honestly impressed on how there is still gacha youtubers that still creates these kinds of videos it's making me kinda miss doing these even if its like a trashy one but dang time actually flies anyways keep on going with these hope you had a great life bye ❤
Going to a Swedish school means literally no dress code, for the most part. The only thing you have to keep in mind at most schools is that it’s school appropriate, and a lot of the time kids get away with wearing very revealing clothes. They only really care if there are very bad words or something on the clothes, and or if you’re basically naked. So we get complete free will, we can wear what we want, have our hair as we want and everything else as we want. (Maybe about 97% of the school dress code in most Swedish schools is literally “do whatever you want.”) The only time/s (at my school) that people have had problem with hair is when it’s home economics or science lab, then you HAVE to put you’re hair up if it’s long.
Kaitlyn, my girl. You're not the only one who's gotten in trouble for the dress code & thinks it's ridiculous. In fact I got story about it. In my junior or senior year of high school (I graduated back in 2019) it was winter & that day I wore my black jacket that has a silver stripe down my sleeves & was wearing matching pants that I've worn dozens of times. Well apparently to a teacher in front of the gym's entrance, they weren't allowed. So she stopped me from entering & made me go to the office. The staff took a look at my pants & saw nothing wrong with them. On the plus side I got to skip my first period, which was a government class.
as someone who goes to a private school, this is EXTREMELY relatable. My dress code rules are (for girls): no “extremely” colored hair (if u wore extensions, it had to match ur hair color), no leggings, no tight fitting jeans, if ur gonna wear a skirt/dress it has to be below the knee, no crop tops, etc. and for the boys the dress code is: no long hair or extreme hairstyles and that’s basically it cuz everything else the boys can do without getting in trouble. But the MOST relatable one, for some reason,IS THE FACT THAT U CANT WEAR A JACKET AROUND YOUR WAIST. Like literally the other day my friend got in trouble for wearing a jacket around her waist 😭
My old school had the stupidest rules as well. The uniform was HIDEOUS, and during the summer kids would be sweating so much. It was terrible. No hair dye, no jewelry, certain hair styles, no nail polish (especially for the guys), certain shoe colours, certain sock colours, no sweaters (even school hoodies weren’t allowed) no hats, sweaters weren’t even allowed to be tied around your waist, and that’s all I can think of right now. At the end of the school year, the older grades started breaking and protesting against these rules (I was one of them), because even teachers didn’t agree with the rules. I don’t know if it worked or not, because I left, but hopefully they did.
1:22 my school also has that rule and i agree with you with all my heart, my old school was a bit worse tho.. They only let us wear white hair ties on Friday (cuz our school had 2 uniforms a yellow one forr every other days and a white one for Fridays) and red hairties on every othe day like umm hun you ok? YOUR LITERALLY MAKING US WEAR HAIRTIES EVERYDAY WHICH ACTUALLY CAUSES HAIR LOSS + WE CAN'T EVEN CHOOSE WHAT KIND OF HAIRTIE WE WANT!!??
I always have a little party every time Kailyn posts! It's like once in a blue moon, but it's so worth the wait. I am so glad to hear you got a new laptop! I hope to see some new videos soon 😊 I don't really have a dress code, but I have uniforms at my school. I'm Australian, so up until the age of around 8-9, I didn't even know that some schools didn't have uniforms! Thankfully my uniform doesn't have ties or tights cause I hate both. I mean ties are alright, I just never wear them and I HATE TIGHTS WITH A PASSION! I also dislike most skirts and dresses, so thankfully at my highschool, us girls can choose to wear pants instead of a skirt or dress.
3:02 is so true and its reminds me of how sometimes they would not let you got to the bathroom if you went in every class you has and they would also say you could not bring you bag into the bathroom incase you has drugs or something like its ok for safety BUT STILL 😭😭😭 when your in your 🔴 and you are too embarrassed to tell them ( me ) you don't know what to say
My middle/highschool had the strictest dress codes I'd ever witnessed (they were obsessed with their public image) - If your hair could be tied up it had to ALWAYS be tied up even when outside the school (if in uniform) - because of this, students either had really short hair (that couldn't be tied up) or the generic tied up / braid hair. I tied up my hair so much that my friends could recognise me just from the ponytail... - Jackets around the waist were a big no but they were an even BIGGER NO when leaving the school. If you were leaving the school at the end of the day and you had your jacket around your waist they would tell you to either wear it properly or put it in your bag - All shoes had to be black with shoelaces and spotless without any damage (sport shoes were not allowed to be worn unless it was during PE) - Socks had to be either white, black, or dark blue. Any other colour was not allowed - Bracelets, rings, and necklaces of any kind were not allowed to be worn unless they weren't visible (you can't really hide anything but the necklace though). I had once tied a ribbon around my hand like a bracelet and while walking through the halls I was immediately told to remove it cause it wasn't allowed and that it would get taken from me if I didn't. (...it was just a plain ribbon) - If you wore your sports uniform on a non-sports day you would immediately get in trouble - You had to wear the school jacket, any other jacket was not allowed - If you came to school with a bag that wasn't the school bag (with school emblem) you'd be in trouble - The school had very generic trousers for the winter sports uniform that were basically one colour with no indication that it was from that specific school. Even so, if you were caught wearing other trousers you would be in trouble - If it was winter (meaning girls had to wear black or dark blue pantyhose with their dresses) and for some reason the weather was hot (some type of heatwave going on) we would get in trouble for wearing our summer uniform instead (or/including no pantyhose). I saw girls melting in the sun or getting in trouble many times due to this - In general if you weren't wearing the FULL correct school uniform you were in trouble
I wasn’t aloud to used a water bottle, even though they had water bottle fill up machines in the hallways. It’s the only time I deliberately disobeyed a rule. My teacher nearly got the principal involved. FOR A WATER BOTTLE
When I was in high school, we had a decent dress code (Non-school uniforms); basically things like "Underwear cannot be seen", "Skirts/shorts must be longer than mid-thigh" "clothing that promotes drug/alcohol and/or is offensive is not allowed", "no see-thru clothing" etc. However, from what I know, it can go either way: -Had heard a few girls complain about how they wore bandannas; if the ties are not located below the hair (a la Rosie the Riveter), it's 'gang-related'. -Had a male peer who'd walk around the school wearing one of those hoodies that zipped up all the way. He was asked to remove it. I get that's a right to express oneself, but there should be a fine line between what's apporpriate for a school environment. I personally don't like it when girls exposed their midriffs or wore shirts that are very see-thru to the point you can see their bra, but I don't make a big public fuss about it; but I HATE IT when teachers use the students to disguise something they personally don't like about someone else - I had a health class teacher claim the students didn't like how I breathe through my nose - I suspected it was something she couldn't stand (she was an older teacher who had been at the school since it opened - she has since retired).

And the lines at much were SUPER long.)
i honestly feel good for her that she dodnt come in my school.

My friends say that they want uniforms which I think there crazy when they say that💀
Same lol!

I’m jealous I literally go to a public school and we can’t wear tank tops and if our stomachs show if we lift our arms all the way up and someone sees us like that it’s against the rules.
One time for pajama day my friend had to wear a unicorn onesie all day because she had a tank top on underneath

The more i hear your story, the more I'm convinced that we both attend the same school because of how STUPIDLY strict the dresscode is:
-Limited hair style (Check) (Girls had like 3 and boy had like 2)
-Say no no to dye dye (check)
-Your hair is longer than 3 inches?! TO THE OFFICE YOU GO!! (check)
Luckily they didn't have the jacket rule, because it was constantly sunny most of the year and teachers didn't want the student to all get severe cases of sunburn.
Love the video, I'm excited for future content :))
As someone who live in a communist country, HOW MUCH IS 3 INCHES?
1 inch = 3 barley corns

My school also had that rule against hairstyles, and I don't look good with ponytail look, but fortunately I'm in college now ;)
you have a kid?
@@Sweetb1scuit aiyo what?? Ofc no 🤨 I'm 17, too young
We were reprimanded by the staff still, but it wasnt all that serious
And now in college they want us to wear formal wear and short hair for men, tied up hair for woman.
Iam not in Russia but same ting in my school
3:29 My favourite part 😂
OMG SAMEEE
This is halarious!
Lol I laughed so hard at
"She put a jacket on her waist"😂
That’s literally my school too
my school bans those (excluding jewelry i think) but they don't threaten the students if they wore those specific features. just telling them to remove it or smth.
The school I went to didn't allow me to have bangs
we can’t have our hair down, can’t dye our hair(not even natural colors),can’t wear anything on our uniform inside school, can’t have bang(cuz of that i am balding my hair is too heavy to keep and i need to cut my hair cuz of school😢),no makeup, and in case of PE uniforms can’t tie your jacket around your waist can’t even stop wearing your jacker and have to have a white Tshirt and we have to die of heat because of it simply put our school banned everything so good luck
0:55 my school make this, lol. I’m Mexican, but all years and schools have like- “the same rules”

To be honest SCHOOL DRESS CODES ARE DUMB
Every School In Turkey/Turkiye:
-Don't let your hair down, if you don't tie your hair up, you will have to tie it with rubber band.
-No colored hair (even it looks natural)
-No make up
-You have to get more than %70 in Turkish Class to pass
-No jewelry
-No phones in school (they will take it away and don't give back until your parent comes to school)
-You can't wear another jacket without wearing your school's jacket (some schools have jackets with their uniforms)
-You can't take a pencilcase that looks like a toy(having too much colors + in most schools)
-There is no test part in exams, only parts that you need to write so you can't randomize your answer
-You have 2 minutes (in middle school), 1 minute(in high school and university) in exams to solve a maths question (it usually has like a one page paragraph)
This is true...
@@Cypher_Fr3ak AND I JUST WOKE UP AND I NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL😭
I live in the UK and the school I went to also had insane dress codes, our uniform consisted of a white shirt, black pants or skirt, a black blazer and a tie, the teachers would go on a rant if our shirts weren't buttoned up all the way, if our shirts weren't tucked in or if we weren't wearing our blazer or tie (some students would often lose their ties and would have to pay £5 for a new one). When the weather was boiling hot, we still had to wear our black blazers.
Bro I couldn’t agree more.
“TOUCK in YOUR SHERT!”
That blazer was hell for me but not a black one... a WHITE one.

People who say school isn’t a “fashion show” are the worst, they have no taste!

I hate the fact that dress codes exist.... and nice fantoco pfp ✨⚰️🗿

(Maybe about 97% of the school dress code in most Swedish schools is literally “do whatever you want.”)
The only time/s (at my school) that people have had problem with hair is when it’s home economics or science lab, then you HAVE to put you’re hair up if it’s long.
"I never heard of any other schools that do this"
My school aka Santa Laurensia, they both literally exact the same rules💀
4:45
“Ew, isn’t that the gacha kid” I don’t know why I laughed so hard at this but I hurt my throat so bad from how bad I was wheezing 😂💀
Fr
as someone who goes to a private school, this is EXTREMELY relatable.
YOOOOOO!!! SHE CAME BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER, LET'S GO!!!!!!!!🎉
1:48 plot twist: the person who designed the white uniform actually saw your video
Thank god we don't have dress codes in our school in the Philippines, I'm so grateful for it. Anyways good videos ❤
My classmates: 4:49

I hope to see some new videos soon 😊
I don't really have a dress code, but I have uniforms at my school.
My middle/highschool had the strictest dress codes I'd ever witnessed (they were obsessed with their public image)
- If your hair could be tied up it had to ALWAYS be tied up even when outside the school (if in uniform) - because of this, students either had really short hair (that couldn't be tied up) or the generic tied up / braid hair. I tied up my hair so much that my friends could recognise me just from the ponytail...
- Jackets around the waist were a big no but they were an even BIGGER NO when leaving the school. If you were leaving the school at the end of the day and you had your jacket around your waist they would tell you to either wear it properly or put it in your bag
- All shoes had to be black with shoelaces and spotless without any damage (sport shoes were not allowed to be worn unless it was during PE)
- Socks had to be either white, black, or dark blue. Any other colour was not allowed
- Bracelets, rings, and necklaces of any kind were not allowed to be worn unless they weren't visible (you can't really hide anything but the necklace though). I had once tied a ribbon around my hand like a bracelet and while walking through the halls I was immediately told to remove it cause it wasn't allowed and that it would get taken from me if I didn't. (...it was just a plain ribbon)
- If you wore your sports uniform on a non-sports day you would immediately get in trouble
- You had to wear the school jacket, any other jacket was not allowed
- If you came to school with a bag that wasn't the school bag (with school emblem) you'd be in trouble
- The school had very generic trousers for the winter sports uniform that were basically one colour with no indication that it was from that specific school. Even so, if you were caught wearing other trousers you would be in trouble
- If it was winter (meaning girls had to wear black or dark blue pantyhose with their dresses) and for some reason the weather was hot (some type of heatwave going on) we would get in trouble for wearing our summer uniform instead (or/including no pantyhose). I saw girls melting in the sun or getting in trouble many times due to this
- In general if you weren't wearing the FULL correct school uniform you were in trouble
Yikes. I would hate to be at your school.

However, from what I know, it can go either way:
-Had heard a few girls complain about how they wore bandannas; if the ties are not located below the hair (a la Rosie the Riveter), it's 'gang-related'.
