When my Son was 13 years old, we stayed in Chicago to watch a Bull’s Game (his favorite team) and we simply couldn’t afford to go there for dinner but I said maybe we could try something for lunch. So we went for it. I’m so happy we did because the wait staff couldn’t have been nicer. I asked about the famous 23 booth on the 2 nd floor. The Greeter stopped what he was doing and led my son upstairs to check it out and took a picture of him sitting in it along with the steak knife collection of all the celebrities who eat there. They made his whole trip memorable, just with their kindness. The lunch was delicious and I had to tip extremely generous for their kindness. So I would highly recommend it just based on the service alone ❤

Getting a bad steak at a pricey steakhouse is a big disappointment, its happened to me. Seems inexcusable, but like you say, its 2024. Seems like being associated with big casino might not be the best for great dining. Good review, keep up the great entertainment

I never comment anywhere, so please don't hate me. I like your style, you remind me of me in many ways. You are a very kind and generous man that is for sure. I enjoyed your review very much. As you said though taking into consideration any comps, the meal seemed about a two stars for me. There is no excuse for serving a below-standard steak. You are also most right that sometimes chefs overthink food, keep it simple in some cases. Right away I felt that the oysters were wrong, they could have served Kumamoto oysters and scored an instant star. I have never been there so I can only go on what you said, but I agree with you. How was the wine, I would have enjoyed some comments about the wine. My opinion only is that the waiter paired the wrong wine. I would have suggested a Pino with the appetizers and a cabernet with the mains (Caymus, Cakebread, or Opus One). Thank you Mr. Handpay I enjoy your restaurant reviews and I promise I won't comment again. This time you were really right in your review. Thank you for sharing. Cheers.

I also like the Frank Family Wines. The Jordan Steakhouse in Chicago, would not go back. Another "what's the matter, daddy" for you. Way better places out there. Enjoy your food excursions, entertaining.

I’ve been to the MJs in Oakbrook IL and I wouldn’t go back. Probably one of steakhouses lowest on my list. Love the Capital Grill in Chicago!

Are you FKN kidding me at 1300 dollars I want a great meal top to bottom grisley steak inexcusable sides just ok don't care what year it is I want an excellent meal. Comp or no Comp. P.S. restaurants are so overpriced and overrated. None of your dishes were kinda hard scallops two to three minutes each side how do you overcook it. Most of your seafood platter was cold can't overcook that..
Like I said, it was a Thursday night, so the appetizers were excellent and the service overall was excellent, but the steak was not to my liking

The one in Chicago never lets me down when I go to town. If you ever go to Tampa, FL you need to go to Burns stake house. Book in advance. It’s booked out every time only open if someone calls and cancel. Can’t go wrong with “Burns”

Prices are not bad for MJ restaurant. Same money I spend at Eddie V's or Ocean Prime in Tampa. Would expect to be higher prices.

A good waiter in a steakhouse always comes back after serving the steak to make sure it’s cooked to your temperature and the cut is good. Some will wait till you cut it open. That’s the way it should be. Yes it’s 2024 and prices are ridiculous. But if it’s good it’s worth it. But if not you owe it to yourself to return it.

When Michael Jordan's first opened T Mohegan Sun it was great. I went there a few months ago. Gross. Just saying. I saw a group also walk away from a table full of food that was not served to there liking. The waiters are basically saying the same shit. Sorry that you also got gross food too. Michael Jordan needs to visit his restaurant before the doors get locked.

I have to say that my experience at Michael Jordan’s was a real disappointment. It’s the only place I ever left a steak uneaten. My companion and I both thought the steak just tasted “off”

Jason aka King Freak! Love the review and you are correct that sometimes you catch the wrong chef on a weekday as the steak didn't look good as it happened to me at Jordans in Mohegan. I only get the Filet Mignon with garlic bread and a side of Baked Potatoes.

Hi Jason. I'm not a fan of so called celebrity restaurants it's a person's name. The food can be tremendous or just okay but you payed good money for something ordinary but the waiter was good. Thanks mate

Hey Jason, Jordan's is good at a Casino, but if you want really good to excellent steak house at a Casino, go to The Old Homestead at The Borgata in Atlantic City. One of the better steak houses on the East Coast.

They give you that gristly end cut hoping you won’t say anything and if you do they’ll apologize and offer you a free dessert. I wouldn’t give them the satisfaction of getting away with that.

foxwoods Jordens i wasnt impressed eating there steak , right across from jordens, theres a resturant that the steak i had was better . i had that giant hamburger also . it stunk

I got the tomahawk steak at the one at iliani in Washington and was underwhelmed with the steak too it was blue rare and for 120 for the meat was a drive by!

@@JasonWasTHEREthe cook was spot on med/rare …service was great as well…the flavor had a slight aged taste but did not come across as a full 28 day+ flavor…the texture of the demonico seamed more on par with a choice cut or lower…my wife had the Denver and she felt the same as far as texture…shame because it was a different experience than the first time we had gone there albeit that was a looong time ago…appreciate your videos…thanks!

You are absolutely on point with the two comments at the end;
a) you are only as good as your chef. Which is a major disadvantage to an established brand when reputation means everything.
b) be realistic, it's 2024, be happy you got anything. I swear to god Jason, back when you were in high school figuring out your lawn/paving business, I was busting my ass at the busiest McDonald's in MN @Dinkytown in the U of M campus in Minneapolis, where great customer service and expeditious and flawless transactions was the norm and drove workplace performance. Today's service at most spots makes one lose faith in humanity.

I’ve given up on MJ steaks. I think they are not quality. Cheap low end cuts and when they argue with me about aging a steak- I age steaks - I've been aging a rib roast for 3 years - longest. My home casino is part of the casino you are at and I have been to MJs a lot. Speaking about my home casino when are you rolling to Washington?? Make sure you get what the other RUclipsrs got$$$

What a surprise. I thought the beginning was leading to an overall great experience. When you lifted up your steak and said it was mostly silver skin and gristle i was shocked. You would think that steak would be the anything but what it was.
Bad cut of meat..it happens but the appetizers were great!
Enjoyed watching your experience. I’ve always wanted to try this spot I live 25 mins from Mohegan Sun. My all time favorite steak restaurant is El Gaucho in Aruba. I’ll never forget that dinner.

I agree on the asparagus, steamed with a little butter, salt, some parmesan perhaps, a squeeze of lemon maybe! I would have sent the steak back, asked for another one, especially at those prices! Same with the scallops. Otherwise, looks like y'all had a good dinner 😁

Finally someone who knows what rare plus is. The best way to cook a great steak. We ate there five years back it was just good on some items. We even saw Michael fly in on his own helicopter followed by 10 body guards lol.
