The main problem for this engine is a lack of torque on low rpm's (especially below 2000), mostly it's because of a very lean fuel mixture which definitely purposes for ecology despite on the construction of the engine for high torque on low rpms. This engine was also present in golf mk4 and octavia tour with some small differences but it feels very fine for 1.6 on that models than on octavia a5. But still, on a highway I was able to keep 140-160 quite comfortably.
