Yep. Sure needs that.
@@Nghilifa Huh, I didn't realize they used 800's for that album. Thanks for the info :)
The choice of guitars with EMGs is odd (IMHO) as no one in Megadeth (except Ellefson) ever used active pickups until very recently.
Even when Marty has EMG's they're not battery powered active ones, they're passive
Megadeth, Marty's era, without Jackson and passive pickups? I think you didn't nailed this one guys.
I would have started with a Jackson Kelly and a king V. The Tone was a bit fuzzier than I would have wanted
How did it sound tho? I think it was pretty close...
But it’s without breaking the bank
@@chrisbaltazar7164 those are both cheaper
sound like "Never, Neverland" era Annihilator! :D
@Malcolm Reynolds it is pure immenseness! :D
Buy an Epiphone annihilation and plug it into either a Hughes and kettner or an evh amp. Jeff waters has a super simple set up. I believe he uses an overdrive pedal too
@@lmlCOBHClml and a tight as a ducks arse tone. thanks for the info! :)
Well, I wanted Slayer, but this is the next best thing.
That being said, WE WANT SLAYER!
At last. Shame you didn't use Jackson though. Nice attempt anyway.
Much requested and then you phoned it in lel, learn the excerpts properly or don't bother imo.
You guys should totally get one of the bass guys to be doing these "Sound Like" videos. It would be great to have the bass rigs added in. Especially since in some bands, the bass is a very important part of their sound. Like Primus, for example. It would be really weird to do a "Sound Like Primus" without a bass rig.
Please do Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers without busting the bank.
Rob C a gretsch streamliner and vox ac15 with a bunch of pedals out to do the trick
You gotta do Pixies some time.
Yes please! Saw them in glasgow on sunday there. Frank still got dem pipes!!
Marshall, cranked to fuckery with a Tele and Les Paul.
Love these videos but guys seriously, more playing please. Don't even have to talk less, just play more riffs. 4 riffs in a 19 minutes video is kinda sad really
not sure Matt picked up the Killswitch Engaged pun 😂
Flew right over his head
@@metalliholic shame he's not Drax or else he'd have caught it..
I appreciated the KSE pun
Doesn't dave use floyd? Yes he does.
He rarely uses it in live performances, but he has a few solos that has it, mostly for dives like the very end of the holy wars solo
I love this show and I love you guys but I think you missed the mark on this one. It sounded good but it wasn't megadeth.
they did not miss the mark on this one, it was megadeth! compare the original recordings to the video's ones, they're very close
only nitpick i must give is Symphony of Destruction was wrong because it didn't have David Ellefson's bass
SOUND LIKE CROWBAR
