After 15 years of using a Blackberry, I cannot see myself using any other device. My brains' memory is stuck on a particular way of typing. I couldn't use the LG V30 nor could I get used to the Nokia Lumia 830, those were the only two phones outside of BlackBerry which I've tried to use as another option. Don't even get me started on icandy... typing mistakes galore when I get messages from friends, cousins and sister lol. I've never once made an error in typing during the 15 years of having a BB, with the exception of new swear words on the BB10 OS and auto-correct taking over hahaha. I'll wait for a NEW BlackBerry...
@@JMIZZLE7 No, the Key 3 was already made. Last year at my LCBO in Leaside, I spoke with a shareholder and he had just returned from the Toronto conference meeting. They discussed when to launch it but too many other devices hit the market. The Key 3 was a very minor upgrade to the Key 2 with mostly its texture and feel from what I saw. I was not allowed to take a picture of it. By no means was it going to be a "step-up", it was almost like a bug-fix getting the product right. My thinking was this was the actually final stage of what TCL wanted to accomplish.
@@JMIZZLE7 It was to be released for May of last year in the hopes of re-releasing the Priv 2. Unfortunately there were just too many iphones and other toys in the market; Blackberry was still a "tool" device. My firm belief is that Waterlook to Ottawa move is the shift BB is working towards in getting Blackberry OS back in line.
One of the best feature of my Blackberry Passport (hands down the best phone I've ever had, up until Whatsapp stopped working on it and I was forced to switch to Android) was the typing experience. Not just because of the physical keyboard, but because of the amazing BB10 OS typing software, which allowed me to swipe up on either the left, middle or right side of the keyboard in order to enter the suggested word. It looks like that feature is missing from the Titan, right? I wonder if it's something that could be implemented on a custom rom...
Omg when you held up the Passport 😂 I forgot how big that thing is! Great video mate, looks quirky and different. Kind of like one of those Gearbest special indestructible phones but with software which actually doesn't suck. Keep up the good work 💪
@@TechOdyssey It is just sad, the firmware version sholudn't differ that much. The other question is, why google isn't pushing the security updates via the play store ... would be easier for everyone.
Great content I like your no nonsense approach! you've helped me decide I want to try switching phones. I'm just curious does the aspect ratio make PDF's more readable? Also could you change the keyboard input to Dvorak with an app like Google keyboard?
Great video review I'm seriously considering this after not having a blackberry for years. I'm typing this on my note 9 glass which I'm fed up with I do a lot off social media emails ect so think I will try this hopefully I will get on with it. And get used to the flaws you mentioned quickly as haven't used a blackberry in years. I'm guessing it's very heavy I have big hand's so should be okay. You never know we might get these other things on it a Dev or modding might become available to make it the ultimate blackberry replacement with modern Android.
Are you still using the Titan and if so what Android version do you have installed? I would like to buy one but concerned that it is no longer updated by Unihertz
Seems like a good phone. I mean, blackberry anything right now is less secure even just by virtue it is on Pie. So it is an excellent phone. I would be interested in snagging one for me or my dad who has Parkinson's, and he could benefit from the thickness and large keys that will help. Thanks for the review and I sent it to my dad!
Awesome review. One question: is it possible to use the physical keyboard keys as shortcut for launching apps? This is one functionality that I really enjoy in my BlackBerry Key2.
I'm switching from key 2 to the titan, the key 2 will remain a backup though... and for more secure stuff like digital auth etc. The unihertz cameras are fine for what they are... might switch the alt and shift because of numbers

I will wait your reply because I wanna know why you prefer Key2 LE when you also have Unihertz Tian which is way powerful in almost all specs. Thanks in advice. Ame
I liked it more once I found the virtual keyboard. Numbers easier to use that way. Plus the talk to text popped up. And I have found it better than the keytwo I had. Words came out with less correction

If the answer was positive, this could mitigate the risk of not having frequent security updates from the manufacturer. I guess that the regular Android updates from Google should work in tandem with the Security app. Considering your influence with suppliers, you should be able to get straight answers from those in position to know.
@TechOdyssey Now let's talk about a year-end review as to how it holds up at being a idk 3 year old device with Android 10, don't care to hear about the Pocket cause I really don't want some awkward obscure off resolution sized screen and something so small I'd lose it. I wanna hear how it holds up also against a Key2
Hey man, solid video. I'm really keen on getting one for myself, but I'm quite concerned about the outdated security patch, not to mention the fact that it's a Chinese manufacturer. Your thoughts on this?
Do you still use the unihertz titan to this day? You might have already said this in another video but I'm curious because I was wanting to get this phone BUT I passed this one because of the blackberry passport look-alike and so I thought about the possibility of copyright? I am getting unihertz 4th phone - the atom L/XL Only difference is the walkie talkie function). I was wondering if you've heard of this particular phone - the atom L/XL? What is your overall thoughts on this unihertz titan specifically?
Do you think you'll ever reproduce your 50wpm like you did with the Classic? As for security, is some kind of app or software one could download? I do kind of like it. But, I think the Priv may have spoiled me. I mean, that's a big ol' phone to have a mere 4.5 inch screen. ;-)
Instead of 1*1 ratio, 3.1 inch screen ..If the screen ratio is 4*3 wide , 3.5 inch ,it will be more ergonomically pleasant... I think it take away the phones attractiveness when the screen is square..
Do you plan to review the F(x)tec Pro-1 or the Planet Computers Astro Slide 5G? They're both shipping now according to the companies and seem to have great keyboard designs (although, as always, lesser functionality with other options).
@@TechOdyssey Ah, too bad. I still use my BlackBerry KeyOne because I haven't found anything else I like enough to commit to. But the two I mentioned are candidates. I wish there were more 5G options than the Astro Slide. Thanks for your great reviews.

Who/where is the maker? India? Any link with Blackberry-India in some way? On-screen keybd? 2. After your review, I got NIB Key One. It is GREAT. The notable flaw is typing's bad-substitutions. The Worst. (Could I put in another keybd software? How?). Link to China?
@@ruslbicycle6006 Was only able to get rid of CoolReaper (at least i hope i did) via temporary root and deleting the system update and weather apps and their failsafe's. It's not bad in good lighting conditions. The main camera is definitely better than the selfie camera.
@@TechOdyssey I agree
You are not alone.
I feel the exact same way.
And it's very frustrating when Blackberry killed their phone division.
Unfortunately key2 is the last one
@@JMIZZLE7 No, the Key 3 was already made. Last year at my LCBO in Leaside, I spoke with a shareholder and he had just returned from the Toronto conference meeting. They discussed when to launch it but too many other devices hit the market. The Key 3 was a very minor upgrade to the Key 2 with mostly its texture and feel from what I saw. I was not allowed to take a picture of it. By no means was it going to be a "step-up", it was almost like a bug-fix getting the product right. My thinking was this was the actually final stage of what TCL wanted to accomplish.
@@NYTOC did they say if it was going to be released?
@@JMIZZLE7 It was to be released for May of last year in the hopes of re-releasing the Priv 2. Unfortunately there were just too many iphones and other toys in the market; Blackberry was still a "tool" device. My firm belief is that Waterlook to Ottawa move is the shift BB is working towards in getting Blackberry OS back in line.
The camera looks good to me.
Keep up the good work 💪
Yeah. The passport was crazy when it came out. So different than anything else but it was a great phone - and still is. Thanks for watching!
The keyOne, at least in germany is stuck on the april security update ... 2019, not 2020... so the unihertz is at least on this side newer than the BB
The KEYone is stuck on the April 2019 update for me too. It’s the KEY2 and KEY2 LE that have the 2020 security patch.
@@TechOdyssey It is just sad, the firmware version sholudn't differ that much. The other question is, why google isn't pushing the security updates via the play store ... would be easier for everyone.
@@Bloedelhannes The manufacturers couldn't include planned obsolescence then, can't have that now lol
The titan still looks good, I will buy it if given a chance!
It’s not a bad phone and it’s priced well
Great content I like your no nonsense approach! you've helped me decide I want to try switching phones. I'm just curious does the aspect ratio make PDF's more readable? Also could you change the keyboard input to Dvorak with an app like Google keyboard?
Apparently, they had an Android 9 update in June which was bug fix oriented. I don't know if there were security updates as a part of this.
I own the Titian and I use it mostly for when I go hiking or the beach and I like it. I mostly use my keyone as my daily but it just broke recently.
Order. My. Unihertz titan. It's. On. The. Way. I. Can't. Wait.
Excelentes videos, te felicito! Una pregunta: después del "blackberry keytwo" saldrá a la venta un nuevo modelo?
You're funny:) Thanks for the info and all your insights! ..also it helps to smile when you feel ugly.
Good to see a video coming from a BB user, cause some people review it as just all others and is just a different use.
gd pm..i hope these phone is here the phillippines...
i want to buy these phone it so awsome
I would attempt the 60 ounce steak. Just saying lol. Great video Adam! Looks like a great phone for certain use cases for sure.
Lol. Thanks Joe. I bet you would! Thanks for watching.
Man if I took a picture of me with this phone
It will Probably Expolde!!!!!!
Awesome review.
One question: is it possible to use the physical keyboard keys as shortcut for launching apps? This is one functionality that I really enjoy in my BlackBerry Key2.
Keyboard shortcuts work the same as on blackberry.
Get this phone...I've had it for two weeks now and its wonderful
Yes. I demonstrated that in the video. You can program a short and long press for each letter just like the KEY series phones
And thank you! I appreciate it.
@@TechOdyssey sorry must have missed that! That's good to know - almost certainly will be replacing the Key2 with this in the near future!
I'm switching from key 2 to the titan, the key 2 will remain a backup though... and for more secure stuff like digital auth etc. The unihertz cameras are fine for what they are... might switch the alt and shift because of numbers
Would you care sharing your experience with it ?is it great?
@@cesareborgia6431 ofc.. yes it has served me well so far.. even better than any of my blackberry phones did. still using key 2 for high security stuff though
@@thomasjensen1590 Great news! thank you very much for sharing
I know I'm late, but this one is just another great phone presentation Adam.
I come here to see the differences between Key2 LE and Unihertz Titan keyboard phones. Guess I will be forced very soon to leave my Q20 Classic and do a switch, but still can't make a decision which one I should buy.
Adam, can you give me your honest opinion and advice which one is better for me?
I love keyboards and espec. much bigger screen on Unihertz Titan, but Key2 LE is still a BlackBerry so I can't decide which one is better for me.
Pls Adam help me.
Mine will get to me on Monday 9.6.2021 - I wanted a passport 2.0 so badly I could taste it. BB really let me down. Im 50 and its the only phone I have used.
Hi! Can you let me know if it’s working in 2021 for you?
@@amber4856 I love it, but I am 50 and the max setting for a font still feels small, and the dip in the qwerty causes some typos - but I love the phone
Excellent presentation. My company wants me to upgrade a phone. What would you go with, BB Key2 or the Titan? Thank you in advance.
First of all, that was an excellent review...not a lot of bashes on the phone, which I appreciate!
Can you tell me about the bluetooth capabilities?
Thank you very much. And... You're welcome. Also, it has Bluetooth 4.1
You're the best. Thanks again!
Can the lack of security updates from the manufacturer be overcome with the installation of one the leading paid mobile security app?
Not sure. I haven't done any research into that.
Sadly i can't find blackberry in Tunisia and i don't know why.i love blackberry and i've wanted an older one.
It's a great phone Great Review TechOD!!!
Thank you!
Your welcome
Hey man, solid video. I'm really keen on getting one for myself, but I'm quite concerned about the outdated security patch, not to mention the fact that it's a Chinese manufacturer.
Your thoughts on this?
I thought it is Japanese tho?
Nice product 👍
Do you still use the unihertz titan to this day? You might have already said this in another video but I'm curious because I was wanting to get this phone BUT I passed this one because of the blackberry passport look-alike and so I thought about the possibility of copyright?
I am getting unihertz 4th phone - the atom L/XL Only difference is the walkie talkie function). I was wondering if you've heard of this particular phone - the atom L/XL?
What is your overall thoughts on this unihertz titan specifically?
Maybe they should get the license deal for the next device!
Hi, do you think it's worth buying such a phone?
Are all the setups, all the techniques and all the systems in the BlackBerry Classic available at Unihertz Titan?
Pretty impressive honestly
Do you think you'll ever reproduce your 50wpm like you did with the Classic?
As for security, is some kind of app or software one could download?
I do kind of like it. But, I think the Priv may have spoiled me. I mean, that's a big ol' phone to have a mere 4.5 inch screen. ;-)
Instead of 1*1 ratio, 3.1 inch screen ..If the screen ratio is 4*3 wide , 3.5 inch ,it will be more ergonomically pleasant... I think it take away the phones attractiveness when the screen is square..
If I get one of these shipped to South Africa would it work here?
Do you plan to review the F(x)tec Pro-1 or the Planet Computers Astro Slide 5G? They're both shipping now according to the companies and seem to have great keyboard designs (although, as always, lesser functionality with other options).
Likely not. I haven’t talked to them in a while. They were supposed to send me a review unit and never did.
@@TechOdyssey Ah, too bad. I still use my BlackBerry KeyOne because I haven't found anything else I like enough to commit to. But the two I mentioned are candidates. I wish there were more 5G options than the Astro Slide. Thanks for your great reviews.
Mr Odyssey, sir! What about the "punkt" phone review ?
Well, I would need to either have them send me one or buy it myself, and I don't have an interest in buying one. I can try and reach out to them though
Hi...Ive been waiting for any black berry to come out but it seems it's going take a while from rumours. Should I just get the key2?
Who/where is the maker? India? Any link with Blackberry-India in some way? On-screen keybd? 2. After your review, I got NIB Key One. It is GREAT. The notable flaw is typing's bad-substitutions. The Worst. (Could I put in another keybd software? How?). Link to China?
Havent really checked, but will the physical keyboard support other languages like the Japanese characters?
I believe the Japanese language is supported
Titan really got me interested... Until i found out about adubs fota. Reminded me too much of CoolReaper so big pass on that one.
Those are interesting security terms to look up. Seems like one could workaround that with software?
@@ruslbicycle6006 Was only able to get rid of CoolReaper (at least i hope i did) via temporary root and deleting the system update and weather apps and their failsafe's. Took me a long time to find out that way though. No clue how to deal with adubs fota though. Both are malware installed by the manufacturers so always handle with care.
I went to the link for this phone. I'm really interested. Using a keyone currently. I noticed it has a dual SIM card slot? I've never seen that before. Could you elaborate on that? Can I use this with straight talk?
Can you show Instagram on that square screen please? It’s my biggest concern with buying this phone.
Hey my brother! Please reply my below problem.
I am Nabil from Bangladesh.
Today I got my Titan Unihertz but I am unable to use Google Play Store. There is not preinstalled play store app. Every time it is crashing when I download! In addition, I am unable to install WhatsApp, Viber, RUclips application.
Would you mind to guide me a proper solution?
Please help me out.
Please!!!
That doesn't make sense to me. It should come with the google play store installed. Did you buy it directly from Unihertz?
@@TechOdyssey Brother, my relative purchased it from China as she founded it from China website. Yesterday I got the phone from her as I live in Bangladesh.
I do not know whats wrong. Currently I am using APK version but it is draining battery too much! Please brother suggest me a solution or I do not need play store but for my office activity running, I must have to install WhatsApp, Viber and RUclips.
Serious question: doesn't the phone make pants fall down?
I guess that would depend on the pants and also if you're wearing a belt. Lol
@@TechOdyssey Thanks :D I've watched all your videos concerning Titan as well as key2. I love your calm, measured and thought-ought style.
I realized Titan is only 1.5 times the weight of my priv, so I don't think it's that bad. Now I'm more concerned about the size and how it would/will fit in my pocket. I'll REALLY miss my OEM Priv holster, as even Priv is already too big for my liking to keep it in a pocket.
Unihertz titan and blckbry
price in dollars $ ???
You mention Amazon 10 Update, according to the Unihertz eBay page (where you can purchase) when I asked about an update, their reply was, as of 5/28/20 "There is NO plan for Android 10 at the moment."
FYI.
It says on the Unihertz Titan webpage that they will update to Android 10, which is where I got my information. And I just checked and it still says it. I don't know anything about their eBay page
I actually like the camera features. I’m thinking of getting rid of my 12 pro max to this. Will this still work in 2021 and the coming years?
i appreciated the manual controls that it has especially.
I'm searching fo blackberry priv water test in youtube but I cant find it
What about text select and copy/paste workflow? Still have to do it a-la-android ugly way? No help from capacitive keyboard?
You missed the fact that there have been Android blackberries for 5 years.
What is the difference between the USA one and the other regions one it seems the same to me
I don’t know about any differences
I appreciate the review, but hows this compare to the more recent blackberry qwerty phones? like the key one/two/le?
I'm on my first day with the Titan. Man these keys are tough! Lol. I'm going to get used to it. I want a Key2 to compare.
Any info about bb key3? I heard bb drop licence from tcl to making bb brand smartphones
Just order my Titan today
Nice! I hope you enjoy it
Has this had any security updates/OS updates since launch at all by 2021? Thinking of getting one of these.
you earned a subscriber
Awesome. Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching.
Will Android auto connect correctly??
I got an iPhone XR but if it breaks, I'll be getting this
Woww.I like this type of design
It's definitely neat
Hello
I want a qwerty smartphone
Would you recommend this unihertz for 330 euro or a second hand like new blackberry keyone black edition for 190 euro?
Thanks
Okay so what's the reward I get? Poweruser of the Year? I've killed the battery twice since owning it for 2 months! Last night the battery got to 25% I woke at up 6 this morning and it was at 92% so I took it off my wireless charging and kept it off till I came back indoors at 5 and still kept it off, had to plug it in at 10 cause I got to 2%, other time was earlier in December. There have been times where I've woken up and it was charged to 62% and it lasted me all day. Same person who wouldn't let go of my Note 4 Edge with a ZeroLemon 9000meh battery! LoL! I got this off Mercari Not 10the for $140.00.
Oh and on average I have 160 apps installed including systems and I'll sometimes bicycle 30 miles roundtrip while using gps Bluetooth amazon music and Pokemon Go is one of the only games I play on it.
