*UPDATE 1/28/19 10:20PM PDT* Just found a tweet reporting this bug to Apple on the 20th and it fell on deaf ears. Only 1 hour ago did Apple disable the Facetime conferencing server preventing this bug from working until they can fix it. That means they knew about this for 8 days and it was public for 8 days during which time literally thousands of people could have been spied on and recorded doing or saying who knows what. This looks really really really bad for Apple at this point and I suspect they are going to have some heavy lawsuits on their hands.
i freaking love how apple always has these kinds of problems. either the phones disconnect from service is you hold them like a normal phone, or you can basically turn the users device into a spy device...
Please tell everyone you can reach online to disable Facetime until Apple iOS 12.4 releases later this week with a fix for this issue. I just confirmed that the latest version available when I made this video which is 12.3 doesn't fix the issue. Also, some people are saying this bug only works if the person on the other side dismisses the call with the physical volume buttons. I can assure you that after heavily testing this myself on iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and iPhone X and iPad Pro (ver 1) I didn't have to touch the device at all to gain control of it's audio and video from the device initiating the call. The only way to protect yourself against this is to turn the phone physically off or disable Facetime by using my directions in the video description. [EXPAND FOR UPDATES] *UPDATE 1/28/19 9:30PM PDT* Apple disabled the Facetime conferencing servers so now when you add yourself to the call it doesn't appear to work. This is a workaround until they can fix the bug in iOS 12.1.4 but it should protect people. I confirmed that it does work however you can no longer add more people to the Facetime call as a result. I still recommend you keep Facetime disabled until a confirmed update is released at the device level in case they enable the conference servers accidentally without the fix in place.

A bug? IMO this seems to fit in a major trend called Technocracy (originally from the 1934 movement). Since that era, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) like the Trilateral Commission have been working to create systems of control that circumvent national laws. The endgoal is to build 'smart cities' along with the internet of things and the new Silk Road initiative. A new economic system will roll out in which you'll pay according to your energy consumption. "Data is the new oil" - is the motto. The internet of things, smart grid and 'one belt, one road' will be run by Israel. Through Operation Talpiot they've been STEALING US high tech, through 'kill switch diplomacy' Israel holds its power. Google: "Israel's secret weapon, the Talpiot program". The US high technology sector right now is being transferred to Israel. Windows 10's code was written in Israel, Intel's biggest R&D centre is in Israel and since 2008 they've been hardware-backdooring the entire west. Intel has the "Intel Management Engine" by which outside entities can break in any computer no matter how good your security is.
@@brianj4201 I second. Whoever reads this must search for "Israel's secret weapon, the Talpiot program" and watch a documentary called "Israeli drones worldwide".
I agree. Google owns your phone, you have no rights. Google can download files, change system settings, and even change or delete your phone contacts if they want to. That is absured.
Jerry twice in one week on youtube again?! It really is the apocalypse! Glad to see you back even if its for a shitty apple screwup. Glad I dont have apple products but will let people with them know.
Hey Jerry , would be cool if you could show your setup and maybe a video about what games you play , im a long time watcher but i loved your setup and iracing video , Great content!!
I've already fixed this by not owning any crapple products...I saw this coming back in the 80's. Well not really this, I just hate crapple's proprietary culture since the 80's. Keep up the good work, love to see you on utube.
Yes, and I'm sure it has been already. I tested it on my buddy Greg and was able to listen to audio and video without him being aware of it. I even called him afterward and he didn't believe me so I told him how to do it back to me. Needless to say he disabled facetime immediately after that and so did his wife.
