stupid album they put out in 1992 and using words like we dont give a shitt for an industry only wanting to promote shitt hop and grunge what were they thinking?
Love that! So great to see the guys together. If I had known, Id 'ave been there. I shot the video for The Last Perfect Thing. Beautiful, thank you VH1 for making this happen.
It was amazing this show ever got greenlit, since there was no guarantee the band would reunite. But it was providing a public service, getting bands back together so fans old and new could watch them. The episode with the Alarm was my fave.
Ever have one of those moments where you are like...Who the hell is this band? I don't remember them. And then I hear Chamber of Hellos and it's like OH YEAH!! I remember them now! Great band! They should have been WAY bigger on the scene.
MCA- Musician's Cemetery of America 3:25 . The record label that killed many a band's career. Wire Train is just another on the list with the band THE CALL topping the list who had a number one single but no product in the stores.
This host is a trip compared to Aamer Haleem. Can't decide if I hate him or if I love him but dude is sure is bringing a lot to the show. Just not sure if it is too much. LOL
I think that’s an easy choice to make. I think Aamer is way better. He brings more excitement and energy to the shell. He seems like he is genuinely excited about getting the band back together. I didn’t get that from this guy. It seemed like it was forced. That’s just my observation.
Damn. How am I just now seeing this? I listen to Chamber of Hellos every day because it's on the playlist I listen to while working. Lol. I actually think I prefer this host over the regular one. I also prefer this premise more. It's more of a sketchy ambush with a cobbled together plan and deadline. I wish they'd bring it back with a host that was more of a walking talking music encyclopedia like maybe someone with a history in the biz like a musician or DJ or an ex-MTV VJ.
I'm surprised the clerk at Tower Records knew them. He is a young guy. The host didn't seem like too much of a rock and roll guy. I am glad they replaced him
At 8:22, Kevin was asked to choose between Jeff Trott and Kurt Herr.....he chose Jeff. I also read in a comment from another video that Kevin and Kurt though old friends since college had creative differences during recording the 2nd album (Between Two Words) that's why Kurt left and formed his own band. Their differences must have been that bad. As for Federico, he's living in faraway South America.
Federico returned to Argentina and played in a well known band there. Very different to Wire Train. It’s called Divididos. Check it up. They are boring I think.
so cool to see this but the WAY the crazy host is doing this...the begging, the "censorship", desperation..ugh! i can FEEL kevin hunter feeling uncomfortable 😅😂
Kurt herr wrote, sang, and played guitar on Chamber of Hellos. This isn't a real bands reunited . I'm glad they didn't do this kinda crap again and that they replaced the host.
No wonder this episode never aired... the host sucked... he couldn't take the time to do some research on the band? and their playing other group's music. There's plenty of incredible WT music to fill this episode. A total injustice to one of the great bands of the 80s. Too bad Ahmer didn't do this, that guy was awesome. Totally informed, well prepared and made it about the bands, not him!!
A new host, new show format, and too much of this guy not knowing the band, looking in the phone book, and they're supposed to book around the bandmates' schedules, I can see why this show didn't air. Jimmy Pardo's Wikipedia has nothing on him at VH1. This might be part spoof, part reality, probably not filmed by VH1. Aamer would've done a better job than this guy. Why did Aamer leave the show?
This guy is so much better than the personality-challenged one they had hosting the series. I guess VH1 couldn't have a White host on their air. Love the drummer who answers the door smoking a pipe.
This guy is really, really annoying. The guy they got to host was ok in general, except for the Berlin show where he could not have been more annoying. The host job would have been really tough, the eventual host(I would call him by name but don't remember how to spell it and don't care enough to look it up) had to pretend things were real when they were more staged than they let on, while there is no pretense here that this is anything but very hokily staged. I am sure there were better choices out there, but it could have been worse, like Jeff 'Anal' Probst
I have to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this thing. I grew up in the 80s. I don’t think they’re on the level of a band like ABC or a Flock of Seagulls. But they seemed decent enough. My only complaint about this episode is the host. He just does not seem genuine. He even tried to create one of the members when they said the word shit in the context of it being a lyrics of one of their songs. That really turned me off to this guy. That’s what the beep but in this war. If they didn’t want it they could be put out just like they did. But I don’t think he Should have corrected bandmember. If I had been that bad member and you corrected me, there’s no way I would’ve signed on to your reunion. But that’s just me
the black lady is not helping, rather conceited about the idea...hey do you think you’re beautiful?? help the guy out. he’s doing his everything to help fans happy
Wire Train were criminally under-recognized here in the States. They should have been huge.
stupid album they put out in 1992 and using words like we dont give a shitt for an industry only wanting to promote shitt hop and grunge what were they thinking?
yeh right? ugh! thats why the UK excels over my country the U.S. in music in almost every way. damn shame🤦♀️🤣
This made my heart smile. I saw them on a riverboat in New Orleans when they opened for Big Country.
I heard this episode never aired. Thanks for giving us this . They are the best of the all the bands who were reunited.
Love that! So great to see the guys together. If I had known, Id 'ave been there. I shot the video for The Last Perfect Thing. Beautiful, thank you VH1 for making this happen.
Someone needs to get them together AGAIN!!
My favorite band that went away. This show has a smile plastered on my face. Great idea and glad they did it!
Love Wire Train. Ten Women is still one of my favorite CD's.
It was amazing this show ever got greenlit, since there was no guarantee the band would reunite. But it was providing a public service, getting bands back together so fans old and new could watch them. The episode with the Alarm was my fave.
New wave is wine, gets better with the time!
Where’s the real host Aamer Haleem?? He was so cool and was a big part of what made “Bands Reunited” so great.
They got Wire Train reunited but did a terrible job of the show.
Ever have one of those moments where you are like...Who the hell is this band? I don't remember them. And then I hear Chamber of Hellos and it's like OH YEAH!! I remember them now! Great band! They should have been WAY bigger on the scene.
thank you hands down one of my favorite bands i own all there lps
all one of them...ha
@@momoney2720 I remember four that I have, weren’t there two more like the video said, for six total?
I was at that show at the Whisky. I believe this was the pilot episode, and as far as I know, it was never officially aired.

MCA. My band was signed, we recorded an album, and it was shelved. Then we were dropped.
@@jimbailey5681 Whats the name of your band?
The Casual Actors
WIRE TRAIN & the CALL…two of the GREATEST BANDS OF ALL TIME!
this must have been a pilot. it was very rusty and the host a bit annoying but fascinating to see.
Yeah, Never a real big JP fan, he looks so out of place here.
they still hve it, their unique eighties sound is still there
Great Value Bands Reunited
Is not the same, Chambers of helllos was performing by Kurt Herr
Exactly
The Album Smug with "Who Gives a Shit" is amazing and available on Amazon as a download.
Shit name.probably shit band. I'll pass.........
Joking....;) Great band......:)
Arguably my favorite band from the 80's. So underrated here in the States. I still listen to them religiously - can someone talk them into this again?

@@comancheviperrrr never saw this episode, never seen this episode and who the hell is the host? Where is Aamer?!!?
This almost seems like the pilot for the series
hate him, guy is annoying as hell
Aamer is definitely much better.

Glad I'm not the only one who never heard of them. Made me laugh, when he assessed the situation, and offered the guy a sandwich.
Best use of ca plane pour moi I have seen in a bit.
Wish I was there!
Woooooooo
Where is Kurt now? I met him a few times at the Limelight.
Where's Ameer??
Loved Wire Train! "But, in the 80's I was so HIV paranoid, I couldn't even watch VH1. It's too close!" ;-D
And what about Kurt Herr??? And why gone the first drummer Federico Gil Sola??...
At 8:22, Kevin was asked to choose between Jeff Trott and Kurt Herr.....he chose Jeff. where's kurt herr??!!!
He had a fallout with Kevin Hunter early on in their time with the band.
Someone told me he used to work with him at Strand Books here in NYC about 15 or 20 years ago.
Why was the episode never aired?
What a bunch of BS to have a reunion in Los Angeles when the band was from San Francisco.
Who is this supposed VH1 guy doing the Albert Brook"s impersonation?
Y Gil sola?
Who?
Kurt herr wrote, sang, and played guitar on Chamber of Hellos. This isn't a real bands reunited . I'm glad they didn't do this kinda crap again and that they replaced the host.
Kurt Herr was a huge part of Wire Train. They were not as good once he was gone. The host is way too annoying as well.

The title says 2003. Aamer's episodes were in 2004. Looks like this came first and they got Aamer later.
5:40 what is the title of this song? first 5 minutes of this is a total waste of time.
"Last Perfect Thing"
Who???
And you are?
I am glad they changed the host - this guy came across as pushy and rude.
its all about him and not the band. 1980s people do not like this reality tv crap.

they were both manipulative and annoying and looking for attention to be focused on them.
