Wire Train as opening act was my very first ever rock concert at the age of 12 when they played in Stavanger, Norway January 13th 1986. I have followed them ever since. I have all their recordings. Lead singer Kevin Hunter even sent me a cd of SNUG long before streaming was invented.
Sitting at my desk doing mindless paperwork playing this…takes me back to days gone by as a student at UC Berkeley in the 80’s. So many great memories.
Alot of inspirations from early Church/Steve Kilbey. I saw the Church live twice but never Wire Train. Their sound was tight. Some of the songs and guitar work might of had it over the Church. Thanks for the ride back.
fantastic. From the banner in the background I can see this was the European tour suporting the Alarm. I saw them in Milano, never heard of Wire Train before, been a fan since then. Thanks for sharing! Nice memories of my teenage years.

Since I heard Last Perfect Thing way back in 1986 I was immediately hooked. Between two Words is one of my favorite records of all time. Thank you Peter for sharing this wonderful show.
WIRE TRAIN, one of the largest and most perfect New Wave bands of the eighties, its fresh and lively sound will remain forever in the line of the memorable
straight off the board, must be. wonderful. used to come up to s.f. from santa barbara to see them play. the I-Beam? sure they owe heaps to U2 and the Alarm. Hunter's vox are so good here it's hard to believe this is live. thank you for this walk down nostalgia dr.
That's so funny... I've dug this song (Forget It All) since the record came out and never made the connection to Melt With You. Played this fast, it might as well be a straight-up cover of it. Wow. Anyway, I saw these guys back in '85 in a shit little showcase club in San Diego called The Spirit Club. They were great.
One of my favorite bands of all time, absolutely love this style of music..this is rare that i see how they are live on stage..but i must say the lead singer sounds 1000 times better on records, plus he moves around like he really thinks hes charismatic and he thinks hes got 'swagger' but he dont, not at all, but like i say i love their music!
Wire 🚆🚂 train is the best band ever there music 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 is the best ever they are best ever 😊
