Hello it's your friendly neighborhood living monster hunter wiki and series veteran to drop knowledge warheads on you doods.
Some notable monsters that you may want to at least recognize would be:
Flagship of MH1 and the series: Rathalos
Flagship of MH2: Elder dragon Kushala Daora
Fs of MH Freedom Unite (Basically 2 ultimate): Tigrex
    Fs of MH3: Lagiacrus
Fs of MH portable 3rd on PSP: Zinogre
Fs of MH3U (U is ultimate and these are just the g rank expansions for each game that basically completed the story and stuff): Brachydios
Fs of MH4: Gore Magala (Also the most beloved monster in the series and the most well structured in terms of biology and story significance)
Fs of MH4U: Seregios, also known as steve or pinecone, closely related to Bazelguese from World
Fs of Generations: The Fated Four which includes the electric rebel Astalos, Bewitching dancer Mizutsune, The unwavering colossus Gammoth, and the leader being the Scorching blade Glavenus.
Fs of GenU: Valstrax (A literal jet dragon and the second most loved monster in the series)and Bloodbath Diablos (Pure rage and chaos personified)
    Fs of World: Nergigante obviously
    Fs of Iceborne: Velkhana obviously
    Fs of Rise: Magnamalo
    Fs of stories: still Rathalos
Fs of MHOnline: Estrellian, the butterfly dragon
Fs of MH Frontier: Frontier has 84 unique monsters, the best combat system and hitboxes in the series, and a lot of crazy stuff while serving as a mixing pot of ideas to give to the main series. It was one of if not a perfect monster hunter experience for some though it was Japan only. There are a massive number of flagships that were added in each title update, however: monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Flagship_Monster
Worst in the series: Plesioth, a monster so bad it's funny and a meme, notorious for hitboxes so bad they could hit you in real life. It's the first piscine wyvern and it was basically a giant bright rainbow trout with legs and a shark head.
Smallest/weakest monster in the series: Hornetaur, a very small horned beetle that could flinch you lightly very quickly, but besides that even taunts that do damage have the ability to consistently kill them quickly.
Biggest Monster in the series: Dalamadur, the great Serpent king dragon. An elder dragon so big that it literally is a map in World known as the rotten vale since its death basically creates an ecosystem while its skeleton is still there in full view if you look closely at the map and around the map. Zorah Magdaros is said to have more body mass but since Zorah is confirmed to be old and dying while Dalamadurs in game outside of the Rotten vale are apparently still growing, this suggests Dalamadurs are even bigger than what we think, growing up to miles long.
Strongest monster: White Fatalis, the original one and the Ancestral dragon. If the current world's fatalis grows old enough, it will return to its perfect state where its fire turns to thunder and it gains the power to literally rip wormholes in the sky and cause eclipses at will.
NOTE: The very end screen before fatalis is not necessarily showing Elder dragons, but they are showing Black Dragons, a special category of elder dragons consisting of Fatalis, Alatreon, Dire Miralis, Merphistophelin, and Dhisufiroa. These are monsters that could end the world or cause so many disasters that a continent would collapse under their might. Crimson Fatalis, the enraged version of a fatalis that was injured but left to increase its fire power before becoming a White Fatalis along with White Fatalis itself also count as Black Dragons.
The final scene of monsters also could be considered FC or First class danger level monsters but there are technically more monsters than just the black dragons that could theoretically be here so the black dragons are just the main ones in the category.
Final Note: This may or may not be canon depending on how weapon ancient texts are treated in the games, but Shah Dalamadur, a dalamadur that molts and boasts a beautiful crimson superheated new form, is referred to as the creator of the monster hunter universe. Fatalis is like the embodiment of Natures hatred toward humanity, as he specifically mocks and hates humans by melting them like armor onto himself just like hunters do to monsters, but Shah is generally explicitly described to have created each aspect of existence in the MH universe.
The weapon texts in order for all fourteen weapons from Greatsword to Bow is as follows:
"With the first daybreak, Shah Dalamadur defined the earth by drawing the horizon."
"As sunshine came a second time, Shah Dalamadur created the fields with its feathery rays."
    "
Third came twilight, and Shah Dalamadur parted the golden waves and created land."
"With the fourth celestial glow, Shah Dalamadur bared his fangs and called it the wind.
    "
"At the fifth evening glow, Shah Dalamadur created time and its coils of memory.
    "
"With the sixth fall of darkness, Shah Dalamadur wrote joyous songs to heal our hearts.
    "
"With the seventh deep night, Shah Dalamadur hewed mountains out of the darkness."
"With the eighth full moon, Shah Dalamadur created pillars upon which the earth would shake."
"Ninth came sunset, and Shah Dalamadur created heaven to catch the earth below."
"With the tenth heat haze, Shah Dalamadur invented fantasy, to help us find reason."
"With the eleventh night mist, Shah Dalamadur created the crucible of life."
"With the twelfth midnight, Shah Dalamadur created a river of stars for the earth to admire."
"With the thirteenth shooting stars, Shah Dalamadur gouged out caverns with his tail."
"With the fourteenth sunrise, Shah Dalamadur created the light that begins everything."
Conclusion could be that Dalamadur used its life energy to create aspects of existence and finally life, before gouging out caverns and resting away into the planet's core, allowing life to be born at the cost of its own. This would be in line with the incredible heat generated by Shah Dalamadurs which can scorch mountains, though this "Creation Dalamadur" is a theory though the devs do like it when fans go wild so yeah there you go.

You asked some questions, I'll give some answers!
-The big freaky thing in the background at 6:50 is called Shen Gaoren, a MASSIVE monster based on the Giant Japanese Spider Crab. It also uses the skull of a Lao-Shan Lung, a massive wingless Elder Dragon, as a shell.
-The thing in the back at 9:55 is a GARGANTUAN monster called Shah Dalamadur, a subspecies of the giant snake Elder Dragon seen in the background here 9:32. It holds the record for being the longest monster in the entire franchise, only beaten in size by Zorah Magdaros. Even more terrifying is the fact that the ones we fight in game aren't even at max length. The Rotten Vale area in Monster Hunter World contains the fossilized remains of significantly larger specimens, with one skeleton basically encapsulating the entire area.
-The sudden mech at 11:06 is not actually a monster, but rather a tool used by the mantis-like monster it appeared on top of, Ahtal-Ka. Ahtal-Ka attacks towns and fortress to gather metal, which it uses to build a massive construct known as the Empress' Throne, also called Ahtal-Neset. Ahtal-Ka controls the mech using her golden silk in a sort of pulley system. Combined with the Throne's size, durability and mobility, Ahtal-Ka is capable of laying waste to fortresses and massacring armies in a matter of minutes, all without the queen getting a scratch on her carapace.
(BTW, you were right to be getting egyptian vibes from Ahtal-Ka! Her design was heavily based on pharoahs and sphinxes.)
-You didn't really ask a question here 15:21, but I felt like clearing something up. There are plenty of Elder Dragons featured earlier in the video. The ones you see here are a special caste of Elder Dragons known as the Black Dragons. Dire Miralis, Alatreon and Fatalis (along with a few Fatalis variants), reside in this group, heralded as being the strongest monsters in the entire franchise, each being capable of apocalyptic destruction along with other unnatural abilities, such as regenerative immortality. These monsters are so horrifying that the hunters, who the Culture of Danger has shown fear practically nothing, burned the records of these monsters to quell panic amongst their ranks. It would be apt to say that these are the gods of all monsters.

The 5 monsters at the end of the video are special. They're officially known as "Dangerous First Class Monsters" but the community dubbed them as "Black Dragons" due to their titles. The MH team had a rule where they will speak about these monsters, ever, to the point where not a single one of them had any form of merchandise or even an official render, as if they don't actually exist (there are some info about them before the 15 anniversary, but they're very scarce and alot of the info may not even be true due to fan speculation and theories). That is until the 15th anniversary, where they gave all of them a special segment in this video and gave all of them their official renders, they now openly speak about them, even giving them a special segment in the 15th anniversary event, giving off information about the dragons, and finally use the dragons in merchandising.

😨😨 love this!! If I'm not mistaken the last one is fatalis which they did bring into world so does fatalis fall into this class of monsters and the others just haven't seen gameplay just yet?

    • @emenova3553
      @emenova3553 3 года назад +3

@@Zall Here's a surprise for you whilst answering your question. Technically there's only 3 of their kind, because the last 2 before Fatalis at the end (so yes you're right, he's not only part of the class but also the first) are ALSO Fatalis, Crimson and White Fatalis, his variants. And actually, we have two Black Dragons in World, if you look back at the last segment and spot the smallest of the dragons, Alatreon, he's also in World and came in an update before Fatalis. The only monster we haven't seen in HD so far is the one at the beginning of the segment, Dire Miralis, which Capcom said won't return till underwater combat returns. Fatalis is considered the strongest monster and is the one that started the "Black Dragon" trend, as he's the first final boss in the first game and the first to have such a title (which means the team has been keeping quiet about him for 15 years till the anniversary!). All monsters have to have the title to be under the class, Alatreon=Blazing Black Dragon, Dire Miralis=Smelting Black Dragon.

Last parts are the black dragons, literally destroyers of worlds and so strong they are categorized above elder dragons. Class 1 Monsters, The Black Dragons, and the Fatalis is literally THE mythical dragon, which is why everytime we fight him in every game he appears, the game feels more fantastic than it already is, and everytime you win against him you FEEL like a hero. Props for the devs for managing that.
Only ones I personally know are Dire Miralis (dude is a walking volcano that boiled a sea so much all its inhabitants died, giving the sea a red bloody color., and Alatreon (dude is the Avatar, controls all elements besides water if I remember correctly, but since he doesn’t bother restraining his control pver the elements everywhere he shows up ends up as a wasteland.)
Fatalis I can’t claim to know him because I only fought him in World, but even then we can clearly see he’s the OG final boss.
