That's an amazing reaction towards my big boi dalamadur. He's one of the few monsters that is somewhat capable of hurting a black dragon. Fun fact about dalamadur. When a dalamadur dies, its corpse can create an entire ecosystem. His bones can become trees, his blood becomes rivers, and his flesh becomes the ground. Also, you can spot an adult dalamadur in the rotten value well, its skeleton.

The great serpent king dragon is the one with 44000+ cm, his name is Dalamadur.
It is though that they are possibly still growing, meaning they could grow to be up to miles long capable of consuming continents-worth of life.
The dark caped monster you saw at the end that signaled proof of a hero was Gore Magala who later metamorphosized into Shagaru Magala, he is the flagship of 4 Ultimate and THE fan favorite monster in the series, not to mention he's the big reason as to why the 4th generation was the best.
The creepy monster you saw earlier is not Khzu, but rather a much more powerful and more creepy cousin known as Gigginox that uses a very strong form of poison instead of thunder and paralysis.
The monster that came after barroth is Diablos, however, the horned monster that chased tigrex into a wall was not diablos, but is a very similar cousin known as Monoblos which is thought to at times be more important and/or powerful in the story though he hasn't shown up in a long time.
Finally, the giant undersea monster was Ceadeus, The great ocean dragon, and the final story boss of the low rank of 3 ultimate.
HUGE NOTE FOR THIS COMPARISON: A LOT OF MONSTERS FROM 4TH GENERATION WERE NOT HERE, THIS SHOWCASE JUST SHOWED COMMON AND FAMOUS/IMPROTANT MONSTERS IN THE SERIES BESIDES BLACK DRAGONS BECAUSE THEY ARE FORBIDDEN TO TALK ABOUT AT THIS POINT IN MOSNTER HUNTER HISTORY, THEY LATER LIFTED THE BLACK DRAGON SECRECY BAN LATER IN ICEBORNE.

Saying Gore Magala is the fan favorite of the series is a bit subjective to be honest lmao like don't get me wrong he's definitely up there in popularity and one of the best in terms of design and story significance, but there are monsters who get way more exposure and mainstream attention, such as Nargacuga and Zinogre, the latter of whom is so extremely popular in Japan due to Portable 3rd. Iconic monsters like Deviljho, Rajang, Mizutsune, and most recently, Nergigante, among others are also up there with Gore. I get why you'd say that though, especially since Gore's theme and overall biology kickstarted the first major storyline based MH game we've had.

    Third Gen starts Here!
4:10 Cha Cha! He is a Shakalaka and your first partner in MHTri. Because cats don’t like water, he was here to join you for underwater combat. He’s a rambunctious and kind of childish individual. He and one other Shakalaka are the largest examples of Shakalaka being able to work with other people outside their clans and not be feral.
Everything will be listed as Cha Cha is beside them. Anything listed with S is a Small Monster and L for Large Monster
4:26 Felyne. S Lynian. Introduced in MH1. They’re the little cats dudes. These are specifically wild ones you can find out in the field.
4:26 Melynx. S Lynian. Introduced in MH1. They’re the little black cat dudes. These guys were known for stealing your items which you could go get back by hitting them before they dug away or going to their camp to steal your stuff back.
4:30 Kelbi. S Herbivore. MH1. These are small greenish deer creatures. Their horns have medicinal properties and their pelts are fairly warm. Back in Gen 2, PETA got upset that Monster Hunter supposedly simulated poaching, so from then on Kelbi could no longer be killed. You can hit them and they’d get knocked out to which you can then carve off their horns and skin. They then get up like nothing happened and run away before despawning. Kelbi have been like this from Gen 3 to modern day.
4:34 Aptonoth. S Herbivore. MH1. These are the stand in meat bags of monster hunter. The Flagship of Small Monsters. They mostly are used for meat for both The Guild and Monsters alike. They have also been domesticated in some instances and used as labour animals, like cows.
4:39 Jaggi. S Bird Wyvern. MH3. These guys are silly, hyperactive carnivores. All male, they act as scouts or support for their pack mates. Generally very squishy.
4:44 Jaggia. S Bird Wyvern. MH3. These are the females of the species. They’re bigger and help out during hunts, helping to slow down prey such as Aptonoth.
4:47 Great Jaggi. L Bird Wyvern. MH3. These are alpha males of a pack. Usually only one per group. They are the leaders and use their calls to tell their pack to go murder stuff. It doesn’t have proper coordination like Great Izuchi does, but he is a good boy. Great Jaggi also does not appear in Rise despite its nest being in the Sandy Plains and Jaggi and Jaggia are swarming all over the place. Maybe in Sunbreak?
4:52 Qurupeco. L Bird Wyvern. MH3. Qurupeco is a large bird creature known for its amazing mimicry. Using its throat sac, trumpet beak, and hollow tail hole, it can mimic the calls of any monster it wants. Doing so in game caused the specific monster to invade during a quest, ranging from Jaggi to bigger things. It also has two flint-like pieces on its wings. When it slaps them together, they create a small spark of fire. Qurupeco has only ever appeared in MH3, MH3U, and the Stories games. Qurupeco was notorious during early High Rank, due to it often calling on Deviljho to murder new players. And then get eaten itself.
5:00 Rathian. L Flying Wyvern. MH1. It’s Rathian. Poison barbed tail, chin spike, first ever designed monster, that’s about it.
5:10 Lagiacrus. L Leviathan. MH3. Flagship. This giant electrical monster was known for being the end of Underwater Combat. The orange growths on its body help conduct and control electricity. Extremely potent in aquatic fights. It’s the first ever Monster to have a rivalry with Rathalos, King of the Skies. Was originally going to reappear in World, however the team couldn’t get the Leviathan Animation Skeleton to work with hills and slopes, causing the game to freeze or crash. Smaller leviathans like Mizutsune and Royal Ludroth however returned later in Rise, so there’s still hope for Lagiacrus in Sunbreak. Lagiacrus also has large story role in MH3 and 3U.
5:28 Bnahabra. S Neopteran. MH3. Large insects that fly. If they sting you, you get paralyzed, if they spit stuff at you, it hurts a tiny bit. Mostly just a nuisance.
5:29 Altaroth. S Neopteran. MH3. Large insects resembling ants. They mostly feed by draining mushrooms of their juices or by drinking honey. Their butts get big and juicy when they’re full, to which they will wander back to their holes. They are now the primary food source of Aknosom, a Rise Monster who uses them to help create fireballs.
5:32 Rheneplos. S Herbivore. MH3. A combination of a rhino and a triceratops but small. Known for randomly running at you and knock you over while you’re trying to do basically anything. Annoying to deal with.
5:37 Barroth. L Brute Wyvern. MH3. You know him well, he’s our muddy boy who just wants to eat insects like termites.
5:46 Diablos. L Flying Wyvern. MH1. He’s in basically every game. Run good, eat cacti, dig good, kill good, he hates everything. Fairly basic fellow from the first series.
5:50 Delex. S Piscine Wyvern. MH3. These little guys are known for swimming through the sand and scavenging off large predators. Most notably they enjoy following Elder Dragons like Jhen Mohran and Dahren Mohran off in the Sand Seas. A place where the sand is so loose it’s like water. These two are basically sand whales. Delex have returned in Rise to smile and act like stupid dolphins. I love them so much.
5:55 Ludroth. S Leviathan. MH3. The female of the species, they like staying wet and eating meat and shellfish.
6:13 Epioth. S Herbivore. MH3. They’re basically ocean Aptonoth. Eat sea grass, not too good at defending them selves.
6:14 Gobul! L Leviathan. MH3. He’s a weird pufferfish, anglerfish, frogfish hybrid. He buries himself in the sand and uses the light on his head to attract prey before vacuum sucking it. He can also puff up like a balloon underwater to stick out his poisonous spines. He’s real silly. Fairly useless on land though. Fun Fact, all Gobul we fight are juveniles. They live in shallow water before moving into the deep. Adult Gobul have never actually been found.
6:32 Ceadeus. Elder Dragon. MH3. A gigantic whale, essentially. It’s horns are slowly growing over its eyes. It’s a giant monster with a big beard. This beard is full of plankton and algae that help produce oxygen for it to breathe while submerged. It also glows which is super pretty. Ceadeus is large and strong enough to be capable of sinking an island with enough effort. It also is able to fire a giant jet of water underwater which just destroys things. Unfortunately without Underwater Combat, Ceadeus can’t come back to the series anytime soon. It was the secret final boss of MH3’s story. There’s also a shark in the bottom right.
6:40 Baggi. S Bird Wyvern. MH3. Small raptors native to snow regions that spit sleepy fluid on things. No discernible female or male differences.
6:46 Great Baggi. L Bird Wyvern. MH3. Alphas of the Baggi, they’re basically the same but bigger. Great Jaggi but cold.
6:52 Popo. S Herbivore. MH2. Cold Aptonoth. Notably easier to domesticate and are a little more durable, so they’re mostly used to pull carts of cargo. Extremely tasty however.
7:20 Barioth. L Flying Wyvern. MH3. Barioth are known to scour the frozen biomes and hunt Popo. They can shoot ice tornados and stab good with their fangs. Their adapted scales let them easily run across ice. Barioth seems to have Anjanath syndrome where they feel like a Flagship even though they aren’t. Barioth has appeared in twice as many generations than Lagiacrus and makes up the third member of the Pseudo Wyvern Trio, including Tigrex and Nargacuga before it.
7:51 Gigginox. L Flying Wyvern. MH3. A horrendous creature. It slicks along frozen caves and icy walls, waiting to come down and swallow things whole or drain them of their fluids. The fourth ever Pseudo Wyvern, though not recognized by fans due to it not being cat-like. Known for having its tail and head difficult to tell the difference from, one side spews poison, the other, gives birth. Unfortunately because it is overshadowed by Khezu, Gigginox has not returned to the series ever since it debut generation, 3 and 3U. Gigginox, unlike Khezu, isn’t blind. It can use thermal vision to detect and sense its surroundings.
    8:26 Egg Sac.
8:26 Giggi. S Flying Wyvern. MH3. Gigginox pops out the egg sac on the floor from its tail and these tiny monsters crawl out and try to jump on you to eat your blood. They look very similar to Khezu. They are also the second smallest Flying Wyvern known to the guild.
Fun Fact, in certain games, you can climb to the top of a ice cliff one a specific map and mine out the remains of a Kushala Daora’s shedded metal skin. Inside you find Khezu Whelps. You don’t get to see them but you can carry one in your inventory at a time. When it’s in your inventory it will slowly drain your health, due to it currently trying to eat you and drain your fluids. Due to the similarities in their young, it’s speculated Khezu and Gigginox may be related somehow.
8:40 Uragaan. L Brute Wyvern. MH3. A large monster known for turning into a wheel. Native to volcanic areas, they like to smash stuff with their glorious chins. They can also eject small explodes rocks fro the holes in their tail as well as spew a flammable gas from their undersides.
8:50 Agnaktor. L Leviathan. MH3. The best guy! Agnaktor is a giant Leviathan that acts like a drill. Native to volcanic regions, they tunnel through volcano floors and ceilings, covering them selves in molten magma. If given time, it hardens and becomes a sturdy shell of armour. Most infamously, it is known to snap its jaws repeatedly and fire a devastating beam of fire and death from its jaws. The Clack Clack Boom.
8:53 Uroktor. S Leviathan. MH3. These are the younger forms of Agnaktor. Can’t do lava armour yet. Their existence in Rise suggested papa is coming in Sunbreak.

    17:11 Rajang vs Jho. Yay.
17:30 Seregios. Flying Wyvern. MH4U. Flagship. The final flagship as of this video being made, The a Fated Four did not exist yet. Seregios is an invasive creature, preferring desert climates but could be found elsewhere. They have a tendency to attack and steal Rathian nests and use them for them selves. Rathian and Rathalos are not pleased. Seregios is allegedly a faster and more nimble flier than Rathalos (which doesn’t matter when Astalos appears literally next game) and can rattle its scales like a pine cone. It can also shoot the scales off its body like knives. Seregios is the originator of the Bleed Ailment, just like how Brachydios grandfathered Blast. Seregios has a major role in the form of Apex Seregios, having been infected by Gore Magala, it started hunting other Seregios. Seregios is thought to reappear soon in Sunbreak when Bleed returns with Malzeno.
Before it’s name was revealed, someone asked the game director what the new flagship’s name was. They responded with Steve.
Steve is consistently the least popular flagship for some weird reason. On most polls, he just doesn’t do very well. Maybe it’s because he’s fairly basic as a creature but I dunno, people don’t favourite him as much.
17:48 all the quest gals from the villages and I think the chief of Yukumo at the end there?
17:54 His Immenseness. Wyverian. Formerly Hunter, now Guild Master. I kept mentioned a giant 18 foot tall Wyverian. This is him. That’s his sword that he used to decapitate dragons with. The largest sapient person alive, he now runs a guild hall nearby the Guild’s headquarters which we *STILL HAVENT SEEN* we also wee a Poogie up top on the gong in a onesie. Lil pig pet.
    Monster Hunter!
Dalamadur Note. It actually isn’t that big of a threat. Upon waking up they might cause a small rock slide and accidentally take out a nearby village but they kinda just lay around.
    18:35 it’s me!

16.00- 16.10 these are gore magala and shagaru magala, they are the most beloved monsters in the series and seen as the best disigned monster that capcom ever made. The whole story of monster hunter 4/4u revolved arround these monsters (fitting since their titel is the revolving dragons), basically gore magala is this black monster that dosnt have a classification as in the notes its classification is only designated as ???, it is slightly more powerfull than tigrex and rathalos and such, in terms of physical power. It is completely blind and sees the world through tiny spores, hairs and scales that fall of its body, it senses everything these scales, spores, hairs, etc. touch with its feelers (these purple retractable horns on its head), thus it is able to paint a picture of the world. Now that sounds cool and all but here comes the big deal gore magalas main weapon, wich truely makes it powerfull is the so called frenzy virus wich is spread through all these scales, hairs, spores, etc.
Ok this is how it works: the frenzy virus infects monsters, after a short incubation time the infected monster seems to die...
But then it wakes back up with darkened purpleish skin, purple vains and red glowing eyes, now its survival instinct just dont work anymore, it doesnt eat or drink anymore, it dosnt protect itself anymore, its social instincts dont function anymore and its body dosnt even heal anymore. This monster goes into a frenzyed rage attacking any other creature it sees (this frenzy is so strong that it even overrites the strong social bonds that monsters have, a frenzied rathian will attack her rathalos partner, frenzied velociprey attack their leader the velocidrome, etc) after a while the monsters body stops functioning entirely and it dies. Then gore magala comes and eats the body and goes of again. But the thing is everything that this monster attacked while it was frenzied also got infected, so the frenzy virus just keeps spreading and spreading, eventually becomming an apocaliptic epidemic that kills whole ecosystems.
Now we get into the really fun stuff when we fight gore magala to stop this and we break its shell etc we see golden scales underneath, gore magala is actually still a juvinile and all this is just a strategie for it to safely get food so it can keep itself safe untill it can mature. Then after a while gore matures, its black exterior splits open revealing golden scales, its feelers harden into two permanently rased horns, its whole body grows, gaining large ammounts of musclemass especially in its wing arms and claws, finally its eyes fully develop.
Now its is no longer shambeling about, its senses are hightened, its mind now is more aware gaining an allmost if not above human intellegence, its virus is even stronger more deadly than before and it has complete abeselute controll of all virus particles. it is now shagaru magala a full fleged elder dragon. The shagaru magala boss fight is (in my opinion) the best most climactic story battle in monster hunter.
Though even after shagaru is dead the frenzy does not stop it actually gets worse as now some of the infected monsters are able to overcome the negative effects of the frenzy and grow larger, get harder skin, increased streangth and hightened argression, these are apexes (unrelated to rises apex monsters, that are more similar to past deviants and actually called group leaders in the japanese version) these apexes still spread the virus and so the carnege continues (Apex status in 4u is reserved for some strong monsters some of wich are diablos, zinogre, deviljho and rajang... that last one is really really really hard and infamous in the communety)
sooooo basically these monsters have a huge impact on the monster hunter series, as they defined the whole game of 4 ultimate.

The 44k cm snake is dalamadur it is the largest monster in the series and its the final boss of monster hunter 4us high rank (g rank is gogmazios) it is amongst the most powerfull monsters in the series potentially reaching black dragon powerlevels, it mostly lives in suclusion in the mountenranges arround the heavens mount location (there are constantly rocks falling from the sky in that location because of dalamadur coiling arround the mountains). In 4u you fight one on the highest montain in that maintainrange, wich is known as the spear tip craig (it is formed like a spear due to the dalamadur wrapping arround it and scraping of stones by moving while still coiled arround the tip). In the fight it uses its massive streangth and many attacks involving superheated blue fire (like meteors it spews into the air that then fall down and its super move a giant fuck of lazerbeam bigger than your entire hunter and even some monsters) And get this the whole rotting vale location in monster hunter world is largely made up of ones (or multiple dalamadurs) skeleton one whole area of it is just inside its skull and the pathways between areas are its spine, the rotten vale skeleton also suggests that the one in 4u was still young as the skeleton seems to be way larger...

So the yellow monster that attacked rathian at the end was seregios. They’re a hyper aggressive invasive species and actually kill and eat rathian on a pretty regular basis. A big part of why they can do so with relative ease wasn’t shown in the video. Seregios is pretty much a walking pine cone made of knives. When threatened, they can raise the scales on their body. When their scales are raised, they basically function as razor sharp edges. This not only makes it much more dangerous, but also makes it near impossible to fight off, because attacking it will probably harm you more than it. As if that wasn’t enough, they can fire these scales off at will. This ability combined with their keen eyesight pretty much lets them snipe prey from the sky like a massive hawk with a horrifyingly accurate shotgun

You should probably react to the monster hunter 4 ultimate monster intro cutscenes, they are basically cutscenes that are rendered with ingame graphicks and show a little scene where the hunter meets the monster, just before the fight starts. They show a huge variety of monsters (many of wich where not in the size comparison) and generally do a good job of showing of the monsters abilitys and such.

    *Timestamp part 2*
RUclips said no to my long comment so the second half of Third Gen starts here, after Uroktor. Sorry folks. Gen 4 starts at 10:32
9:03 Rathalos. L Flying Wyvern. MH1. Flagship. Do I really need to say anything? Most interesting thing about this guy is his venomous talons and strong vision. And also how Capcom keeps making monsters that specifically screw this guy over.
9:15 Jhen Mohran. Elder Dragon. MH3. HE BIG. I mentioned him in the Delex segment of last comment. Very rare, native to the Sand Seas. On occasion they rise up from the depths to intake a giant gulp of air. The Guild sends out Sand Ships during this to go harvest minerals and resources off its back, maybe even kill it if they’re lucky. The only reason Jhen stays and fights is because it thinks the Dragon Ship, the largest ship that leads the fleet, is an enemy Jhen in its territory. Originally the largest monster at the time.
10:25 Deviljho. Brute Wyvern. MH3. The most (allegedly) popular monster from Tri at the time. Giant voracious appetite, it is the poster child of the Dragon Element. The big pickle has a ridiculous metabolism, requiring to constantly be in the move and eat anything it can lest it starve and die. The excess consumption of food results in Dragon Element forming in its body, causing it to go mad and full of rage. When further angered, its muscles flex and expand, ripping open old scars along its body and throb with the sheer intent to kill. Deviljho was one of the original monsters known for being able to tangle with lower classed Elder Dragons. Also known for invading Qurupeco quests.
GEN FOUR. Monsters covered in Gen 3 segments will be skipped. Sorry Rathian.
11:18 Yian Kut-Ku. L Bird Wyvern. MH1. The original punching bag. It’s a weird bird thing with big sensitive ears that can spit a single glob of fire at you. Notably the natural predator of the Konchu, introduced in Gen 4.
11:39 Yian Garuga. L Bird Wyvern. Introduced in...Gen 2? It’s...complicated. Garuga is an extremely aggressive and territorial monster. Being related to the Kut-Ku, it has many similarities in general body structure. It also has strange similarities to Rathian, Poison barbed tail, back fur, and stronger fireballs. There were originally theories amongst the fans that it was the love child of a Rathian and Kut-Ku, but due to them being an actual species and being able to reproduce by them selves, it’s unlikely. Their main diet consists of Yian Kut-Ku which is really messed up. Strangely every Garuga in MH4U has its left ear broken and eye scarred. Yian Garuga get into fights so often with other things that they have evolved to gain strength from pain over time. What the f-
    12:02 Tigrex cameo
12:06 Monoblos. L Flying Wyvern. MH1. The original secret story boss, like Shara. Monoblos is a relative(?) of Diablos. They act very similarly. Monoblos has a strong connection to Kokoto village, as the small Wyverian Chief once spent an entire week of nonstop fighting to kill one. Ever since then, slaying a Monoblos on your own is a right of passage in Kokoto village. It is Proof of a Hero amongst them. Monoblos also never appeared since MHFU until making a surprise return in MH4! Shame he’s not in fifth Gen either...
12:16 I don’t think I need to explain Tigrex more than I already have, dude’s in all the games you’ve seen. He’s from Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
12:48 I don’t think I need to explain Zinogre or Nargacuga much more either. This screen however is what started the fan rivalry between Zinogre and Nargacuga for coolest monster. Coming from Monster Hunter Portable Third and Freedom Unite respectively.
13:09 this is a reenactment of the MHTri Intro!
13:23 Brachydios. Brute Wyvern. MH3U. Punch good, slime mould go boom, haha fun. Look, I’m trying to save space for the new monsters okay? RUclips doesn’t like me going super long for some reason
13:30 Akantor. L Flying Wyvern. MHF2. Yes, Akantor is a Flying Wyvern. Akantor is native to volcanic regions and is god damn massive. Having a louder roar than Tigrex, you once watched it kill a Gravios in an intro, giant rock Wyvern. It can fire a massive beam of just pure heat and can tremors as it walks. The reason it’s a Flying Wyvern is because the guild found trace remnants of wings in its skeletal structure, implying it evolved from flying creatures. If Akantor was added in the later gens however, it would be classed as Fanged Wyvern like Zinogre, Jagras, or Magnamalo.
13:50 Kushala Daora and Teostra. Elder Dragons. Introduced in MH2. These two made a grand return in MH4, Kushala even gaining a new Variant in Rusted Kushala! However, Chameleos...was left behind. He sits patiently in MHFU and waits for his return.
14:34 Amatsu. Elder Dragon. MHP3. I’ll be honest, I forget/don’t know how the hell this thing flies. I think it’s just so light it catches its own wind currents? But it also looks like it swims on the rain. Anywho, controls the weather, lightning and rain, and also spews jets of water that cut houses in half. This thing is the reason Zinogres started fleeing their mountain home and are now native across the lower lands of the Old World. Also has a beautiful roar.
10:48 Kirin. Elder Dragon. MH1. Lightning unicorn that summons thunder storms. It can basically teleport via electricity dashing and is a pain to hit due to it being fast and small. Primary prey of Rajang. Even though it looks like a horse, it’s hooves are actually three toed feet that come together to make hoof-like shapes. This exemplifies it’s draconic origins. It also will kick your ass. In myth, Kirin are known to protect nature, refusing to bend even a blade of grass. Fun Fact, in Japanese Giraffes are sometimes referred to as Kirin. Kirin are also the main inspiration for the Pokémon Suicune.
16:02 *Gore Magala* Formerly ???, now Elder Dragon. MH4. Gore Magala is the Flagship of MH4, the game with possibly the best story. It is the end of life. The harborer of the Frenzy Virus, it spreads and infects all living monster, killing them or worse. As explained a while ago, some monsters resist the plague and the Frenzy and become Apex, roided up zombies. All because this thing rolled up and said “I’m hungry.” Gore Magala is blind, however, it can use the two horns on its head to sense the flow and movement of its scales/Frenzy particles. It usually chooses not to do this due to the horns being very fragile and weak. Gore himself is fairly squishy.
16:09 *SHAGARU MAGALA.* Elder Dragon, MH4. Shagaru is the fully shedded and born form of Gore. In full control of the Frenzy Virus, it spreads the plague across the lands from the highest peak The to lowest crevice. Worst of all, IT HAS EYES NOW. Religious groups within the universe call it the Harbinger of death, the wheel of life. Death comes to cycle a new, just like the stories had once said. Extremely powerful and dangerous, all caution procedures are on. This is a “All Hands on Deck” level threat for The Guild on par with Shara Ishvalda. And you gotta kill it.
It is said that Gore Magala do not hatch from eggs. They simply manifest from heavily culminated Frenzy Particles. Whether these old stories are true or not, we cannot be certain. But we can be certain that Shagaru Magala will return. One day. One day. Also it’s not a Black Dragon.
    6:19 Pickle’s back
16:32 Lao Shan Lung. Elder Dragon. MH1. The first Siege Monster. Native to a certain mountain range, they spend their time sleeping, mostly. In the games we have to repel or kill one going through a mountain pass, otherwise it will trample a village on the other side of the fortress set up here. It is revealed that it was a juvenile fleeing from a force, a certain Black Dragon in a castle? Fairly simplistic, no elemental attacks. He just walks. The holder of Largest Monster before Jhen arrived, granted we haven’t seen an adult Lao. Interestingly, Lao is actually a distant cousin of Zorah Magdaros, implying, just like Zorah, Lao once had wings or at least another set of arms.
    16:41 Jhen’s back
16:56 *DALAMADUR* Elder Dragon, MH4. The largest monster to date in the main series. Dalamadur is a giant snake with two large arms and two vestigial legs on the end. They don’t do much. Known to slither and carve out entire mountains, they sleep. But when awake, they are one of the most horrifying things alive. Firing balls of fire up to crash down as flaming meteors, it can fire a vortex of blue and red flame from its mouth and envelope entire villages. Not a Black Dragon by the way!
Remember how I said it’s not the biggest outside of the main series? Laviente from Frontier beats it by a few meters. Until World that is. In World there is a locale known as the Rotten Vale, a place where monsters go to die and decompose. The entire map is actually made of the skeleton of an adult Dalamadur. And a second skull. Using actually snake growth calculations, some have discerned Dalamadur to be 2 to 7 MILES LONG. It’s title of the Incomprehensible Serpent make sense now!
there is an old tale of creation involving Dalamadur. In ancient times, there was no life, but the great Serpent. A serpent so large it covered the world. It grew tired and lonely of nothing, and so it curling into a spiral and laying down its final breath. It’s death resulted in its life force, now known as Bio Energy, seeping into the world and creating a deep river. The Everstream. From this, life grew, and the world as we know it came to be. Dalamadur is praised as a god by some religious groups. The Everstream is also an important set piece in World’s lore.
17:09 the birth of the question, Rajang vs Deviljho, who wins? RUclips please lemme finish-

    • @itsturniptime3699
      @itsturniptime3699 3 года назад

Extra note about Gore. The reason it spreads the virus is because after a few days, it kills things, and Gore sneaks by to eat the corpse.
The Dalamadur story of creation is also only a folktale. While the Everstream exists, it’s origins are still a mystery.

14:55 that is a Kirin. An elder dragon that capable to control thunder and lightning with it's horn. It doesn't have much in fizical prowess, but it's a monster that is hard to fight due to it's abilities. Many newcomer may look at it as an easy monster to hunt due to it's looking like a normal horse with a horn when compared to other monsters. How ever, the constant lightning strikes and thunder wave combined with it's small size and fast movement make it hard to attack and dodge against it. Even a veteran of the series will think twice before trying to hunt it because they need the appropriate armors that has a good thunder resistant and any consumables that help you cure the status it can cause. As of myself, Kirin is a monster that I will only fight with a Lance or sword&shield and consider fighting it with any other weapons A FU©€π TORTURE!

    • @vincentpey3929
      @vincentpey3929 3 года назад +1

I dont really think kirin is all that hard it is annoying but it only has 5 moves (i think) and none of them are that hard to avoid, so if you know how to avoid most of its kit and dont get too greedy it should be fine even without proper thunder resistence (it could be hard if you have one of these sets that give you minus 20 thunder resistance i guess), i just bonk it to death anytime i have to fight one, its horn breaks really fast and after it is broken most of its lightning moves become way less dangerous that and the head is its only really viable attack spot and hammer hits really hard in the monsters head.
Also in lore kirin is considered both the fastest monster but also the weakest elder dragon, that and rajang hunt kirin they catch them with surprise ambushes and then they break the horn of and let the kirin escape to regrow its horn, rajang actually gains its electric powers by eating the highly charged horn of a kirin.

@@vincentpey3929 I know all of this. I'm just trying to give it a higher expectation as what he think of Kirin is not really great. As a newcomer, Kirin will be quite a challenge as it's also appear during low rank (like in world). Also, they probably doesn't know where to attack and what to expect when first fighting a Kirin as it is very different from any previous monsters.

I haven't hunted it in World in ages, but in Gen I Demon Riot sword mode and that bypasses his hard butt, and in 4U I had to grind 3 G rank horns for Rajang armour, which I did with Thunder Res +20 gemmed Kujula armour and I'm fairly sure I used Propensity. I could've had Recovery Up in there too, can't remember. Kujula has constitution and evade extender, and with the thunder Res and enough armour spheres poured into it, and if you're bringing Wyvern Fangs, Godbugs, 20 Wyvern Claws, Lifecrystals, Lifepowders, and your combo books of course along with your potion ingredients, max potions, charms and demondrugs and armour skins, and if I remember right that should leave room for a farcaster and pickaxes for your Guild Quest gathering, you should be able to survive ok. Deflecting won't matter if you can just build your phials up, and then A attacks are your friend, and don't be afraid to use X attacks either. Generally aim for the head, but your survivability should be good enough that you generally survive if you bounce...unless, specifically, you get hit by his surrounding lightning followed by a strike on player location, or I think the beam in front of it, inflict paralysis, though I'm not sure if this is all the time or when enraged.

Can I try to maybe some insight into comment weirdness? Not going to reveal anything new or groundbreaking here, but having a channel of essentially zero size does have the occasional fringe benefit (like being able to count all video comments on a single hand):
    - The raw comment count atop the comment section seems to count replies in addition to base comments. For example, one of my uploads says "6 Comments" but a quick look reveals actually 3 base comments and 3 replies. A different video saying "12 Comments" similarly has 6 base comments with 6 replies (and the 1:1 ratio is actually just coincidence).
    - The default "Top Comments" setting does indeed hide certain comments from showing at all. For example, despite having "6 comments" on a video, the "Top Comments" actually only shows *4* of them (2 comments + 2 replies), but switching to "Newest Comments" does indeed load all 6.
    - There are certain occasions where a comment gets deleted silently, with zero notice or information or forensics available to the commentor. Usually discovered by posting a comment, then trying to edit it (even within a few minutes after posting) only for the edit box to give an error message, and when I reload the page the comment simply doesn't exist. I don't have an explanation nor do I want to speculate about specific comments or why, but I have seen it happen from time to time and a few others have too.
