That building climbing and gliding you do is just for now, if you’re a high enough level you can eventually create your own updraft basically make you able to fly and still climb walls super fast
I was max level on DC universe online on the ps4 but i like to start fresh with different stats to my character and abilities and having alot more fun on switch than the other console because it is fresh and not toxic or clustered with people at the same time. it feels balanced
Played this on pc a long time ago. Recently bought a switch and I can’t put it down. This game is so addictive and fun and even if you only get 30 mins to play you feel like you have done so much. End game is crazy fun. 10/10

I have DC Universe Online on my PS4, but when I get a new Micro SD card, I will download this game on my Switch. As of now, I only have about 6GB left from my 128GB card....
Played it a lot of the pc and ps3/4. Love the game, and it does cost money at the higher levels, but it is worth it. Tons to do, and I think it has some of the best combat out of all mmos.
Keep in mind nobody got early access to this game and you can tell from the gameplay he didn't get far in the game. I want a true review, not someone looking for free click bait cash video.

I bin playing it the past few hours and i actually love it. Its legitimately fun. I actually created two heros,one that can fly and is focused on magic,and the other is much like batman. He uses gadgets.
I really like this game because great variety to customize your character. I have 30 marvel and dc characters (heroes and villains) on my ps 4 account and they all look excellent. My favorite is Jean Grey as phoenix because her clothes are literally burning and shining like Phoenix fire from the last mutant movie.
When you get to Tier 3 content you won't be able to level up any further, due to needing episodes(dlcs). In order to get dlcs you need to get membership or pay for the dlc by itself.

Anybody that remembers when marks of triumph were a thing would know how easy it was to get gear and not stress about being behind. But overall y'all can try the game if you all want, a lot of you guys might feel differently about the game regardless of it's major flaws lol but listen to common sense. Don't play this game if you can't afford to keep up with endgame content and gearing up. It's gonna suck your wallet dry before you even know it.

I played the DC Universe online on my PS4 and I got to level 50 and after looking at the content is like I had to buy the other DLCs to get further in the chapters.
I downloaded this game last night and I expected to wake up this morning to play it for a few minutes to see how awful it looks and plays, and then immediately delete it. One 30 months subscription later and I can't wait to get home to play some more. All portable mode, baby. "DC movies are superb". Come on guy, that's just not true. They are awful for the most part.

Game itself still needs to get some changes done. Im glad they added the switch but the community is pretty empty compared to years ago. It use to take 10 to 20mins to phase in because that many people were playing whereas now there's no wait. PvP doesnt even exist anymore and certain raids takes hours to get people in the queue.

It's possible to make lookalikes of them, but they won't be the real deal and they likely won't have all of their powers (you can only have one power and one weapon at a time, but there are "iconic" abilities you can get such as heat vision, super strength, etc)
"We're super evil corrupt people " - You hit the nail on the head. You haven't played the game enough to develop a proper opinion on it, hell, you've only reached LV12. LV1-30 are essentially a free trial meant to demonstrate what the game is like, once you hit the level cap, you run into a wall where it's impossible to progress anymore unless you shell out exuberant amounts of real money, and even then nothing essentially changes since what you saw beforehand is what you get with a subscription, minus annoyances like cash escrow, etc. I get you must be paid a decent amount of money to do these videos, but please don't try to delude people who may not be familiar with the game when you're so very obviously unfamiliar with even the most basic of things about this game, many of us have fallen into that same trap before and by the time we realized what's what, we had already invested too much money to just pack our stuff and leave.
Played this game on PC for free, beat the main story as a Meta, Tech and Magic character for both Heroes and Villains. Gotta say that once you hit max level (of about 30), then the game becomes extremely repetitive and boring. As a free to play account, the only thing left for me to do was to try my hand at PVP, only to find that every single round I joined, the pay to play members were so vastly stronger than me, that it couldn't even be classified as a proper fight. It was just a one sided beat down, where they killed my character in 2 to 3 hits.
I've now played dcuo on four different consoles. I loved this game and still play it. I have a decade of experience with it. I'm not too heavy of a mmo player but I really like DCUO, WoW, Fallout 76 (to an extent, only got into it due to all the updates recently and patches), and ESO. So though I'm late to this video I definitely think I'm going to once again revisit dcuo on a new console. I mean. What's the harm? It's free up until the sub fee is needed for the dlc. And even then 15 dollars ain't gonna kill me.

To answer your question no....no it's not. I have DCUO on xbox one and haven't touched it since MUA 3 got announced. I play my xbox one everyday as well as MUA 3 on switch just not DCUO. Too many pay walls. If it was truly free to play or through away membership fee then game could be worth the investment

Lets be real though this is a 2011 game, i liked though that PS3 is crossave with the PS4 as i think its tied to the servers, you can also play with PC players i played it up until Warframe took over my time 2 years ago. Haven't looked into if you have a character on PS4 will be there on switch though.
I sunk a couple hundred hours into this game. Lots of fun but i did hit that inevitable wall of repetition. I love to log back into my account to see whats changed, but i diubt i will ever find the email & password associated with my account. Good times though...
As a retired vet DCUO player (CabbageKing/villain/USPS) this review is pretty poor imo. To talk about such an old game like this you atleast need to have way more knowledge on the game as a whole. The early days of dcuo were gold and ask any vet and they’ll give you a butt ton of reasons as to why the game WAS good and is now very bad.
I used to play the hell out of this on PS3 as a villain. I can't wait to boot this up on Switch and maybe start again as a hero. (Depending on what my friends go with)
I made a hero whose a giant buff robot that goes super fast and have fire ability while in his business suit but I'm planning on making a villain also later and she gonna be a little girl.

@@jakubmazurek5984 Do not listen to that stupid, warframe is a purely F2P game, the Platinum is only to not wait for frames, or to buy Prime parts, it is only an Pay To Skip, wich means that paying will not give you an advantage, all frames are good, some weapons outrange another, but you can get them with help sometimes and some materials cannot even be brought, even the Mastery 25 have to farm and if they want they can skip the time of building, but at the end of the day, what we know? Played this game on and off for almost 10 years on ps3 and ps4. From my personal experience, this game has turned into a pay to win. Time capsules have ruined everything in this game.

A game where the community is just absolute shit and everyone is in the wrong? On one hand you have white knights defending the games problems (Stopping it from getting fixed) On the other hand you have toxic players that feel entitled to get change such as fixing PVP. Do they deserve a PVP fix? I don't think so, they use PVP to torment each other and make even more expose videos spreading hate around the community! DCUO has the qualified players to make a bad game therefore It will never rise to fame like other great titles such as WoW or FFXIV. The devs should continue to scam the community with time capsules, lootboxes, replay badges so that the game can continue dying off and get shutdown one day and then hopefully these lost players could open their eyes and change their philosophy of how you should truly enjoy videogames.

I used to play this game alot back in 2013 amd stopped for a long time, now that this is out on switch I been playing it agian and the game is way more fun than I remembered

It's possible to make lookalikes of them, but they won't be the real deal and they likely won't have all of their powers (you can only have one power and one weapon at a time, but there are "iconic" abilities you can get such as heat vision, super strength, etc)
"We're super evil corrupt people " - You hit the nail on the head. You haven't played the game enough to develop a proper opinion on it, hell, you've only reached LV12. LV1-30 are essentially a free trial meant to demonstrate what the game is like, once you hit the level cap, you run into a wall where it's impossible to progress anymore unless you shell out exuberant amounts of real money, and even then nothing essentially changes since what you saw beforehand is what you get with a subscription, minus annoyances like cash escrow, etc.
I get you must be paid a decent amount of money to do these videos, but please don't try to delude people who may not be familiar with the game when you're so very obviously unfamiliar with even the most basic of things about this game, many of us have fallen into that same trap before and by the time we realized what's what, we had already invested too much money to just pack our stuff and leave.
Played this game on PC for free, beat the main story as a Meta, Tech and Magic character for both Heroes and Villains. Gotta say that once you hit max level (of about 30), then the game becomes extremely repetitive and boring. As a free to play account, the only thing left for me to do was to try my hand at PVP, only to find that every single round I joined, the pay to play members were so vastly stronger than me, that it couldn't even be classified as a proper fight. It was just a one sided beat down, where they killed my character in 2 to 3 hits.

I've now played dcuo on four different consoles. I loved this game and still play it. I have a decade of experience with it. I'm not too heavy of a mmo player but I really like DCUO, WoW, Fallout 76 (to an extent, only got into it due to all the updates recently and patches), and ESO. So though I'm late to this video I definitely think I'm going to once again revisit dcuo on a new console. I mean. What's the harm? It's free up until the sub fee is needed for the dlc. And even then 15 dollars ain't gonna kill me.
This game is just a money sponge trust me I've been playing this game since 2011 and spent over 2000 dollars on it it's not worth it

The announcement for this was a surprise to my eyes. I'm just curious of what other secrets waiting to be announced for the switch. playing it now and all im doing is running around the city. amazing that this is running on a handheld. old game and all. i remember playing it in beta many years ago on my pc, that could hardly run it.
I know right - I had no idea this was coming, and I didn't think I'd even like it as much as I do (I never got around to playing it on PC or console before now). I also wonder what else might be lurking out there, just about to bust out on us!

To answer your question no....no it's not. I have DCUO on xbox one and haven't touched it since MUA 3 got announced. I play my xbox one everyday as well as MUA 3 on switch just not DCUO. Too many pay walls. If it was truly free to play or through away membership fee then game could be worth the investment

Lets be real though this is a 2011 game, i liked though that PS3 is crossave with the PS4 as i think its tied to the servers, you can also play with PC players i played it up until Warframe took over my time 2 years ago. Haven't looked into if you have a character on PS4 will be there on switch though.

I sunk a couple hundred hours into this game. Lots of fun but i did hit that inevitable wall of repetition. I love to log back into my account to see whats changed, but i diubt i will ever find the email & password associated with my account. Good times though...
As a retired vet DCUO player (CabbageKing/villain/USPS) this review is pretty poor imo. To talk about such an old game like this you atleast need to have way more knowledge on the game as a whole. The early days of dcuo were gold and ask any vet and they’ll give you a butt ton of reasons as to why the game WAS good and is now very bad.
