Meh who cares. Whatever works. If a youtube rap battle is what gets people intrested in the systems around them then I don't see what's so bad about that. The only stupid thing is when people only listen to the rap battles and stop at that but I feel like anyone who wants people to follow a system they believe in eventually realizes that you can't expect them to always read a buch of dry boring theory. You have to get good at convincing people and rewording all that theory and philosophy into words they can actually understand without spending years in college. This is already done with science so I don't see what's so wrong with doing the same with politics as long as it's done well. The problem is that most of the time it isn't done well.

Contrary to opinions, Marxism systemically doesn't incorporate big government, though of a transition of Capitalism-->Marxism can, and often times does end in that.

Mises uses facts, evidence, history, and bases his ideas on logic. Marx, however, bases his ideas on feelings, utopia and disproved theories. That pretty accurately represents the two ideologies IRL if you ask me. Those who see fact will say Mises won, and those who see fiction will say Marx won, just like real life. No, our solution is not to forget Marx. We should disprove him instead. We've tried forgetting Marx, but he will always be re-discovered by the selfish and gullible, which is why we need to prop him up instead, so that we can tear him down. We need to make sure that everyone knows who Marx was, and how his ideology fails not because it was never 'real' socialism, but because his ideas are fundamentally flawed. Keep studying. Each segment has different concepts that you can look up as well as different economists referenced. In particular the part about labor theory of value being disproven by (Eugen) von Bohm Bawerk is something people should learn.
My advice is don't get caught up in internet politics. Read books from the two sides, learn about economics (even tackle Marx's Das capital if you can??). Marx's ideas are clearly misrepresented here. I don't blame the video, it's already hard to try it.

Anarchy doesn't mean "no rules" it means "horizontal" making is effectively synonymous to "no rulers" as much as "no rulees." Which did allowed private profits (generation of wealth) for (mostly) selected and sometimes lucky individuals in the society, however, puting national interest first. In the instance where public (nations) interest would be in the need of assistance from or directly clash with interests of private individuals. The state would prevail and if needed through the use of force towards the individuals who had accumulated wealth. The similar scenario can be seen in various examples when subjects of state (citizens) are controled by a higher entity (Emperors, Kings, Tzars, Dictators). Examples can be seen from Medival age and/or Feudal system, when Emperors, Kings and Tzars needed finances for conquest or defence, they would generate wealth through force if required, to Kulaks in Communist Soviet Union to many other examples throughout history. Therefore, Facism is not differentiated from any other dictatorial, authoritarian, totalitarian system when it comes to generating wealth, it is differentiated in social and political issues, but that's not because its driven by capitalism.

@Krónika you can have competition and cooperation they are not as opposite as you my think, competition just means, in terms of capitalist, several companies competing to sell same or similar products and services. Cooperation just means working together to achieve a goal, I think that's the actual definition but works for capitalism, and companies are working together to strengthen the economy through the competition. It's like In the States Walmart vs Target. Yes they are in competition with each other because their both are stores that you can go in and buy stuff from their competition means they have to improve or provide better or cheaper products which in the long run helps strengthening the economy. I think a tl:Dr example is a sports team just each person is trying to become the best, but the end goal is for your team to win and your internal competition can aid it achieve the cooperation to obtain the end goal.
@Krónika The cooperation is the biproduct of the competition. The competition creates jobs, provides products and services, and allows for growth so the cycle keeps going. I don't think I worded it properly the first time but this is not mental gymnastics. They have opposite meanings, yes but that doesn't mean that in actions their opposite. There is a load of examples that could be used to show that cooperation and competition aren't that opposite in action. I honestly think your the one that did the mental gymnastics if after my clarification just now, you don't understand or disagree with them being opposites in meanings alone.

Holy Fudge! Recently I've been studying some of the works of Mises, Marx, Hegel, etc. There are SO many inside jokes in this video that I missed when I watched it originally. EG: 9:42 "Socialism's record isn't hard to parse, first it was tragedy, now it's a farce." That is mocking a quote by Marx about how history always happens twice "first it's a tragedy, then it's a farce."
Be careful though as there isn't a single position in this video said by Marx that Marx would actually believe. The creaters of this video have not actually read any Marx

To claim something is subjective by every measure is to universalize and thus make objective the claim. It's a contradiction of terms. All I’m gunna say is that the description calls capitalism democratic… that’s incorrect. Markets can be democratic, capitalism cannot be. States can be democratic, capitalism will always tend to corrupt them.

When your entire strategy to implement an economic system is to push social tensions to their boiling point, statism is a pretty natural outcome. People will perpetually revolt against any source of friction, be it economic, political, religious or otherwise, which leads to a very rigid and oppressive social structure. The reason why this phrase resonated with me, is because I interpret it like this: the highly-centralized governments (in most of the Western Democracies) are becoming ever-more-encroaching into people's lives, i.e. in effect treating them like "incompetent children who don't know how to run their lives, therefore the *state* has to do it for them". And this then creates this "logical disconnect": you think the people are too immature to be able to run their lives, yet at the same time you expect those same people to be "wise and mature voters".

It worked in the Soviet Union- they broke up the Russian empire and the various nationalities had self-determination. There was a balance between national independence and internationalism, fraternity between workers regardless of nationality- you can’t have all of one or the other. It DIDN’T work in Yugoslavia, true, because Tito took a completely opposite line. He (and his party) banned ALL expressions of nationalism, which ended up working poorly for them. This is one of the reasons Tito and Stalin split, because Tito opposed expression of any and all national differences. Stalin was from Georgia, a small nation who before the revolution was repressed by Russia and had their culture stamped out by Russian culture, he was big on the national question. Now, it makes sense why Tito took the stance he did, the different Balkan states had a history of attacking each other and they had just come out of World War II, where some Croatians were even more brutal than the Nazis. This is what it looks like when you have STRONG nationalism with NO internationalism. So while we can be sympathetic to Tito looking at his historical conditions, at the end of the day he was wrong

The only stupid thing is when people only listen to the rap battles and stop at that but I feel like anyone who wants people to follow a system they believe in eventually realizes that you can't expect them to always read a buch of dry boring theory. You have to get good at convincing people and rewording all that theory and philosophy into words they can actually understand without spending years in college. This is already done with science so I don't see what's so wrong with doing the same with politics as long as it's done well.

No, our solution is not to forget Marx. We should disprove him instead. We've tried forgetting Marx, but he will always be re-discovered by the selfish and gullible, which is why we need to prop him up instead, so that we can tear him down. We need to make sure that everyone knows who Marx was, and how his ideology fails not because it was never 'real' socialism, but because his ideas are fundamentally flawed. I thought it was strange and creative, so I went to check it out.This video has many of my favorite part like the melodies, sentences, and many parts of speech. And there are a lot of parts that I don't understand as well too, because I'm not someone who follows or studies much about economics. But it's still good for me. Keep studying. Each segment has different concepts that you can look up as well as different economists referenced. In particular the part about labor theory of value being disproven by (Eugen) von Bohm Bawerk is something people should learn.
Mises was really on to something there.
My advice is don't get caught up in internet politics. Read books from the two sides, learn about economics (even tackle Marx's Das capital if you can??).

Cooperation just means working together to achieve a goal, I think that's the actual definition but works for capitalism, and companies are working together to strengthen the economy through the competition. It's like In the States Walmart vs Target. Yes they are in competition with each other because their both are stores that you can go in and buy stuff from their competition means they have to improve or provide better or cheaper products which in the long run helps strengthening the economy.
I think a tl:Dr example is a sports team just each person is trying to become the best, but the end goal is for your team to win and your internal competition can aid it achieve the cooperation to obtain the end goal.

I don't think I worded it properly the first time but this is not mental gymnastics. They have opposite meanings, yes but that doesn't mean that in actions their opposite. There is a load of examples that could be used to show that cooperation and competition aren't that opposite in action. I honestly think your the one that did the mental gymnastics if after my clarification just now, you don't understand or disagree with them being opposites in meanings alone.

The reason why this phrase resonated with me, is because I interpret it like this: the highly-centralized governments (in most of the Western Democracies) are becoming ever-more-encroaching into people's lives, i.e. in effect treating them like "incompetent children who don't know how to run their lives, therefore the *state* has to do it for them".
And this then creates this "logical disconnect": you think the people are too immature to be able to run their lives, yet at the same time you expect those same people to be "wise and mature voters".

It worked in the Soviet Union- they broke up the Russian empire and the various nationalities had self-determination. There was a balance between national independence and internationalism, fraternity between workers regardless of nationality- you can’t have all of one or the other.
It DIDN’T work in Yugoslavia, true, because Tito took a completely opposite line. He (and his party) banned ALL expressions of nationalism, which ended up working poorly for them. This is one of the reasons Tito and Stalin split, because Tito opposed expression of any and all national differences. Stalin was from Georgia, a small nation who before the revolution was repressed by Russia and had their culture stamped out by Russian culture, he was big on the national question.
Now, it makes sense why Tito took the stance he did, the different Balkan states had a history of attacking each other and they had just come out of World War II, where some Croatians were even more brutal than the Nazis. This is what it looks like when you have STRONG nationalism with NO internationalism. So while we can be sympathetic to Tito looking at his historical conditions, at the end of the day he was wrong

Here in the United States, we see it with CRTheory, which demonizes a whole sect of society by falsely claiming they're/we're inherently privileged and suppressors. Based off the color of their/our skin. If you're opposed to queer theory being implemented within institutions, you're transphobic/demonized. An unelected group of oligarchies who work in tandem with the permanent political class(that exists within every allied nation). This is why we've watched National Populism sweep across the allied nations, and a new opposing international order within the allied nations is being formed(between national Populists, within each allied nation) This plays into the rise of the western civilization state, and the rise of the civilization state era. We've also watched the faltering of the unipolar international order. A new multipolar international order is rising(comprised of the new civilization states). Which means we have major work and reforms ahead of us. It seems the democrat party is imploding, and can't move forward until they publicly denounce and remove their divisive hatefilled rhetoric and policies. Once they do, they'll reemerge as the new socialist democrat party (with a more of a pro commonwealth/welfare, stance). We're also watching a parallel economy coming to fruition based off of cryptocurrency, and free market capitalism which offers the incentives for innovation in new technology, products, and production processes. The political spectrum we have/had, here in the states has been redrawn and is comparable with Europes. Many scholars would claim the Nazis are leftists. But I, and many others see the Nazis as right wing Fascists. Mussolini and the Black shirts are considered, a left-wing form of Fascism. Just as there's right-wing communists(the Bolsheviks), and left-wing communists(the mensheviks). As for the Republican, Party in the United States. We've reshaped the party into the new National Populist Republigun Party! Here's something I've been thinking:
So what happens if the elites use a decentralized technocracy based economy, where the idea of socialism(left) and commonwealth/welfare(some on the right, and the traditional liberals who now fall on the right) merge and the negative aspects of the two ideas can be negated. Negated with open source, blockchain technology? I believe that's plausible, but leave us with at least one major issue, the loss of privacy. The planned economy will be done using our personal data(and other data)with algorithms, cloud computing(including quantum computing), and A.I. This is a very Prophetic scenario, "you'll not be able to buy sale or trade without the mark".
