That’s a great idea!!
What a great video! I searched for a lot longer than I thought I would have to in order to find a video with actual commentary. Everyone seems to think I want to watch an hour long video of them just walking around not saying a single word to explain what the heck is going on. Great job!
Hahaha I love this comment. Thanks so much I appreciate this a lot 🙏

Thank you for this video. I’m planning a trip in May for 3 days and you have literally given me my itinerary. Thank you. .
Glad it was helpful!
Venice is a nice place to visit.
If you want to really enjoy it, stay on the mainland and walk across the bridge daily and then get lost, it is easy to do and far more enjoyable.
Be very careful in the restaurants.
They have 2 menus.
one for the locals and one for the tourists.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 hi thanks for this tip.. I'm going be there this summer and wonder what's the difference in local and tourist menu (I suppose the pricing?) And so we should be asking for local menu, would it be In English?
@@501Album okay, the best way to do it is this way. when you have placed the order, do not allow the waiter to take the menu with him. If he/she asks, why are you holding it, simply tell him/her, you will hold it just in case you want some thing extra later. In any event, don't! give it back. Check what you have been charged for against your order. Another thing you should be aware of is city taxes. Some restaurants will charge you to sit down. Another tip is, if you plan on visiting Venice, accommodate yourself on the mainland and walk over the bridge daily.
Navigating the streets with luggage will test you, don't forget, most places do not have a lift. Hope this helps.
With content like this you deserve 1million subs
thanks SO much!!
Definitely magical! I can’t wait to visit. By the way, it was hilarious when you said “nope” to the Gondola. Like “I’m alone obviously” - not dishing out that dough. 😅
Haha 😅
Thanks
No problem
Hard to focus with a face like that 😍nice vid
Haha thanks!
Oh you're here in Italy! Enjoy! 😁 (even if there are not a lot of tourists)
It was amazing to see so quiet!!
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you for this video. How easy was it to get by on Just speaking English. Do you have any advice? How much would you say you need for a 3 day trip?
Good vedio
Thanks
Awesome thank you! You make beautiful videos! Hoping to go to Venice next weekia! Hoping to make a video about it--that's half as good as yours :D. I'm a doc too! Good luck in your studies. It's a hard road. Here in the US it's also very expensive :D
Have fun! Wow where in America are you? I'm desperate to actually get to the US, planning on sitting the USMLE in 2 years 😩
@@TheMattJames Hey, sorry for the late reply! I just got back from my trip :). I'm in Chicago. I wish you nothing but luck. Working in medicine in the US has its ups and downs definitely, but I definitely like it very much here :)!
It’s far more preferable there than here! Doctors get extorted in this country almost..I’m planning on doing the USMLE next year to prep. Any tips? 😅
@@TheMattJames I haven't taken the USLME in so long :). I'm really far removed from that.
Best video about venice so far! What kens did u used?;)
Thanks!
Lovely video thanks for sharing b 😊 such beautiful footage! do you have any recommendations for a camera thats a bit cheaper than the one you use ?
Yes absolutely! I started my channel using only my second camera, it’s a small point and shoot, so super compact and easy to carry around - I put the link in the description
And thank you!
@@TheMattJames thanks so much love!!
I don't get how this channels doesn't have already at least 50k subscribers.... 🤷🏽♀️
Thanks sammy, really means a lot! The growth has really slowed down recently, and the views on videos - I have absolutely no idea what it is😩
❤❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this video mate! Loved the insightful info, beautiful scenery and excellent editing. I preferred this editing to the Lisbon style. Have you thought about visiting the South of France? Before I moved there I couldn't find many decent travel guides, I'm sure you'd do it justice mate.
Thanks Julia! Yes I’d love to, I’ve already done Perpignan. So when omicron blows over! 😉
That was the most appealing looking tuna! Where was it ? You remember the name of the place please?
Great video matt. Did you have to arrange your airport shuttle with hyatt. We are staying there in a few weeks and was unsure of how to arrange? Thanks
hey! if you email them they should arrange (also, tell them I sent you ;)
Hi Matt, I see you fly your drone, how do you register your drone in Italy?
Great video!! What camera do you use please?
thanks! all linked in the description
How is the weather beginning of October. I’m flying to Venice for a wedding on October 6.
Venice is a nice place to visit.
If you want to really enjoy it, stay on the mainland and walk across the bridge daily and then get lost, it is easy to do and far more enjoyable.
Be very careful in the restaurants.
They have 2 menus.
one for the locals and one for the tourists.
Very interesting! Thanks for this insight
Whats the main differences of two menu ? The price ? And how to distinguish them ?
@@jj_kuehne4562 the best way to tell is when you have ordered, keep the menu and just simply say that you are hanging on to it just in case you want some thing else.
I am thinking of visiting Venice for three days and thought I should stay on the mainland and get lost as you say))
@@ola6482 Definetly stay on the mainland. walk across the bridge or use the water busses if you can navigate them. you will have a better time not carrying luggage over all the bridges. the main attractions are nice, but definitely get up around the Basillica Salute area. Very nice. Would be interested to read your response. Have a nice time, if you are traveling with a partner, Venice and the streets will test your relationship.
Which app(s) did you use to get passes around Venice for the museums and stuff? Thank you for the video!
this one! www.getyourguide.com/venice-l35/24-hours-classic-venice-city-pass-t67011/?partner_id=3GJC6JW&placement=content-top
@@TheMattJames thank you !
I love Venezia
Beautiful place
Nice place..A'FIVE from jakarta
Thank you!!
Hows the weather in mid october
What’s the difference between water taxi and water bus
what time of year did you go? It looks like there was a lot of sun is it always sunny?
September!
how much did u spent? And what restaurants were those?
All restaurants are listed in the description
Hey, what hotel did you stay at??
Hyatt centric in murano
PENG TING
haha thanks
Was there any nightlife going on? And what time did things normally close?
at the time, no as it was mid covid!
Venice is amazing. Highly recommend it but it's not a party place. Venice Mestre might have some good nightlife but I'm not sure. One of the best times to come is for the Film Festival in September. If you go make sure you explore Lido Island. Get the bus near the ferry.
"I asked for some ice and he brought me a North Pole" :DDDD
Haha he kinda did though! 😅

What's wrong with 18 euro for the boat ride? How is that expensive?
Welcome to Venice!
Another video idea would be money challenges, like living on 5Dollars per day etc or going on the cheapest flight ever
That’s a great idea! Thanks, I’ll defo consider
Are there many mosquitoes?
None I noticed
How do I avoid the tourists crammed everywhere?
Either wander the streets at night or go after august 1st (cruises are banned)
I heard! Perfect thanks!
But tickets for waterbus is much expensive for those who are under 30, not 28
Thanks
NO .To see Venice you need to get up at 05:00 . leave at 11:00 go take a nap and come back at 20:00 . Miss all the tourists
