@@TheCreativeAnimation The biggest "flaw" of this movie and what people always don't like about it, are the silly and unrealistic characters. But after seeing the movie a couple times, i just got the idea that, they are just silly because that is the way Walter portraits them, he sees them as silly, he is so immersed in his reality that everything around him is like a cartoon. That doesn't mean that is the way everything is. So when i rewatch it, i just think this is what Walter is seeing, not reality. This changes once he goes beyond walls and comes back. You can see this when he comes back and confronts Ted, THAT is reality, and it looks much more realistic than what Walter was seeing before going beyond walls.
I saw this movie, when I was stuck in a bad rotten place. This scene and the scene where Walter walks out of the bar and jumps into the helicopter with space oddity music, were so epic. I felt a great sense of adventure all through the movie. This movie is a classic.
This is a perfect film. Cast, writing, cinematography, soundtrack, all blended in the perfect sequence and it concludes on perhaps the most satisfying ending possible. Beautiful things dont ask for attention.
This movie came into my life in the most wonderful way possible: I had ended a relationship that hurt me deeply, the next day I was having breakfast alone in my house, sad and hopeless about the future. At that moment something inside me ignited, I threw my breakfast in the trash, I changed my clothes with the first thing I found and left my house, without combing my hair, without brushing my teeth, without anything, seeking adventure. I wanted to do like in the movies, when the protagonist buys the first ticket to anywhere, and I did. I embarked on a journey to a beautiful place called Tepoztlán, in Mexico. This movie was shown on the bus, at first I didn't pay attention, but right at this scene I felt it was a sign from heaven. That trip was the best of my life, I dared to do things I had never done: I danced alone at a Reggae concert, I climbed a mountain, I found myself, I even met a French girl and spent the night with her. Before that day, I would have never had the courage to approach a beautiful girl, or to dance alone, but I believe that movie brought out something new in me. I can say that since that trip I am different. When the trip ended, I didn't even remember why I had been sad since life is beautiful and we only live once.
This is an amazing story. I'm so happy to hear how this movie affected people like me too. This movie also changed my life for the better and helped me find myself. Life really is the most beautiful thing. The ability to experience the world is the greatest gift anyone can ever have.
This movie inspired me to travel, too! I went to Spain and met so many wonderful people, ate delicious food and I too had a few nights of romance during my time over there. To see the world... Safe travels, my friend!
As subtle as it was, the old man sitting next to walter in an empty flight, Not a word spoken, but the kind gesture of shaking walters hand and nodding was heart warming.
@@lasercat538 new copies of the movie no longer have wake up by arcade fire during this scene likely due to licensing issue. New song does not fit near as well and it was a massive bummer when i played the new copy of the movie
I like to think that the lady at the airport who open Walter’s passport smiles because it was empty, Walter never travelled before, so that was his first ever big trip! She’s like “oh you are going to enjoy every minute of it, now it stars a new life for you” Idk ahaha
One of the most underrated and my favorite movie of all time. This movie inspired me to venture out into the unknown and tackle my fears head on. It truly is a masterpiece that everyone should watch at least once in their life.
I cried at this scene because arcade fire is my fav band and i didnt not see this coming at all that they would have this song at a turning point in the movie Seriously hit me in the heart and throat
The song 'Wake Up' is a perfect rallying cry for Walter, as he launches into the second act. Normally, the hero moves to a new location to signify the new world of the protagonist and Greenland is a perfect metaphor for this new world. Note that the last picture as he leaves Life (a daydream of Walter) is Walter as an astronaut. This is a foreshadowing of the 'Major Tom' incident that will be the last daydream that actually helps Walter.
Walter never take a long trip, he want to but he cannot due to his busy jobs. But this time is a perfect action to decide to have long trip to give his best things to do for his last carrer. Im little crying to saw that scene
Haha ikr? The fact that Wake Up isn’t in more movies is a crying shame, I know My Body is a Cage is in a couple shows but really let’s get Arcade Fire some more credit lol
Because of this movie i quited my old streesful and boring job. I bought a plane ticket to Asia and travelled several months. It’s been 6 years since then. It was the best decission i have made in my life. I love this movie and this scene.
Same with me. Everytime i watch this movies, this is the epic scene. When a man decide to breaking all his daily ordinary things and schedule, for giving the last responsible for his end of carrer
Apart from the obvious, the music that plays when Sean is beckoning Walter in his daydream is incredible. Its mysterious. Its wild. Untamed. LIke the wind howling through the mountains. Walter can either take a step back, or take a step forward and dive in.
Ich könnte heulen bei dieser Szene . . . Aber ich hatte diese Momente mit 16 Jahren ! Und bin dann in 12 Stunden mit meinem "MOFA" über 250 Kilometer zum Nürburgring gefahren ! Das fühlt sich dann genau so an . . .

This scene is peak cinema.🍿 This scene reminds me of a Zack Snyder movie. So epic and awesomely dramatic. Also the “Where The Wild Things Are” trailers brought me to this song! I love “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire!🤩
