I think in everybody’s heart, they would want to do what Walter did and spontaneously go somewhere without a plan or idea of what comes next and just go with it
This is a perfect film. Cast, writing, cinematography, soundtrack, all blended in the perfect sequence and it concludes on perhaps the most satisfying ending possible. Beautiful things dont ask for attention.
There’s a Reddit post claiming that (at least in certain countries) the song in this scene was replaced by “Step Out” by Jose Gonzales due to licensing costs. My Blu-ray copy is from before the supposed change (2016). Does anyone know if this is the case now?
Apart from the obvious, the music that plays when Sean is beckoning Walter in his daydream is incredible. Its mysterious. Its wild. Untamed. LIke the wind howling through the mountains. Walter can either take a step back, or take a step forward and dive in.
One of the most underrated and my favorite movie of all time. This movie inspired me to venture out into the unknown and tackle my fears head on. It truly is a masterpiece that everyone should watch at least once in their life.
This movie came into my life in the most wonderful way possible: I had ended a relationship that hurt me deeply, the next day I was having breakfast alone in my house, sad and hopeless about the future. At that moment something inside me ignited, I threw my breakfast in the trash, I changed my clothes with the first thing I found and left my house, without combing my hair, without brushing my teeth, without anything, seeking adventure. I wanted to do like in the movies, when the protagonist buys the first ticket to anywhere, and I did. I embarked on a journey to a beautiful place called Tepoztlán, in Mexico. This movie was shown on the bus, at first I didn't pay attention, but right at this scene I felt it was a sign from heaven. That trip was the best of my life, I dared to do things I had never done: I danced alone at a Reggae concert, I climbed a mountain, I found myself, I even met a French girl and spent the night with her. Before that day, I would have never had the courage to approach a beautiful girl, or to dance alone, but I believe that movie brought out something new in me. I can say that since that trip I am different. When the trip ended, I didn't even remember why I had been sad since life is beautiful and we only live once.
This is an amazing story. I'm so happy to hear how this movie affected people like me too. This movie also changed my life for the better and helped me find myself. Life really is the most beautiful thing. The ability to experience the world is the greatest gift anyone can ever have.
This movie inspired me to travel, too! I went to Spain and met so many wonderful people, ate delicious food and I too had a few nights of romance during my time over there. To see the world... Safe travels, my friend!
This scene is peak cinema.🍿 This scene reminds me of a Zack Snyder movie. So epic and awesomely dramatic. Also the “Where The Wild Things Are” trailers brought me to this song! I love “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire!🤩
This movie and more so this scene realy found me and hit me and affected me like no other movie has.
I always love how this man went around the world even though he always had the negative in his wallet
Meu filme favorito
To see the world dangerous to come to see behind walls to draw close to find each other and to feel
TO DRAW CLOSER, TO FIND EACH OTHER, AND TO FEEL THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE.
Cool cinematic hints, they know with words
What is this song called
This scene motivated me to quit my job and travel to Canada after having an argument with my ex manager.
마법같은영화, 영화도 OST도 너무좋다
The eyebrow on the airline lady checking his passport. That’s just gold. Beautifully directed film.
A culture classic
We watch this movie every year with my wife... WE LOVE IT !. Thank you Walter Mitty ;)

I fell asleep every time I tried to watch this 😮😅
Well, those buildings are not in Greenland. It is somewhere in Scandinavia 😂
Best scene in the movie! I watched it repeatedly
Watched this over and over. Just finished it again. So underrated and great movie.
why don't they sit apart on plane ?
contrast between Walter and the dude reading news i guess
It's a joke. A huge jet with 2 passengers and they sit next to each other 😄
My favorit scene ever!!

Finding to courage to do something unknown is the point here.
Beautiful
This is fundamental film about personal strength, believe and love. I was encouraged!

Es tan grande esta escena que nos inspira a seguir la aventura y el descubrimiento de nosotros mismos

the scene of the light falling on the airplane food is so satisfying.😂
Will never get tired of this film. This scene is one of the greatest ever.
Which song is this?
Arcade Fire - Wake Up
This is one of my most favorite scenes of all the films I've seen in my life.
Watching this scene at the airport, waiting to board a flight for my first visit to Europe. To see the world.

Wake Up - Arcade Fire
Great!
my heart aches to see that sight which the prison of responsibility will forever bar me from...
One of the most powerful scenes. I always watch it. The moment he starts calling for Walter makes me wanna get up and book the flight
Book it
The abrupt cut of the music and the incredibly depressing airport killed me
I love this scene
Cinematic poetry :D 🔱
The first 30s of this clip launched me on my adventure to see all sorts of new places
Quit my jobs and ran away to South America because of this scene!
That is amazing
I don't watch this movie a lot but God I fucking love this movie
