So THAT'S what Sint Maarten's Maho Beach looks like FROM INSIDE an approaching aircraft!! I'm used to seeing videos taken FROM that beach, especially those of its beachgoers getting blown into the water by the exhaust from nearby jets as they take off. LOL!!!
Yeah, I was just about to say that. I accidentally began the video with it playing at 1.25 speed and after the first two realized that and set it to normal speed, and then seeing the Ryanair landing made me double check that I was watching at the correct speed. It definitely appeared sped up.
Hard to tell... I was fast... There is a couple of leaves falling in the foreground... they look sped up. Reduced to 50% or 75% speed, sounds crap, but now looks correct.
The reason for the 380 rudder whipping around is that Bus pilots whip their sticks like crazy on landing. Most of the inputs are not necessary but they instinctively do it. The computer averages some but not all of them out.
I flew with Ryanair for the first time a couple of months back, both their landings were actually amongst the best I've ever had.. Guess I just got lucky haha.
Says a lot about the scale of human crafted machines vs the scale of weather when even our largest machines in the air or even on water are ROUTINELY tossed around by weather-related activities.
An Airbus-pilot absolutely never hits the rudder during a landing at all until the flare begins. And even then it is just a slow controlled input to roughly align the nose with the runway. So either that was the yaw-damper or that pilot needs training.
Having to put in THAT amount of control surface input on a landing is like the car driver going lock-to-lock on the steering wheel and going from full throttle to full brake and back again, on a gentle curve on a street .... It's .. ah .. UNUSUAL.
The A340 didnt land before the touchdown zone, the big white stripes is the 1000 foot marker but the touchdown zone are al the markers next to the centerline
The A380 only has reversers on its inboard engines.🙂 Airbus designed it to operate on wheel brakes alone, but potential buyers wanted the option of traditional reversers to reduce brake maintenance requirements and costs and give them more operational flexibility. Airbus agreed to fit reversers on the inboard engines in order to guarantee sales, but strictly speaking they're not needed. Reversers are a heavy option to haul around the world if they're not needed (bad for profitability and fuel economy), and also very expensive to fit to engines (bad for sales). So fitting two, not four, was a compromise in order to get orders.
That A350 narrowly missed the zebra crossing - very dangerous. Although I still don't understand (or approve of) zebra crossings on runways. Also, why did the Cathay 777 use its engines to reverse back from the gate? It just means it will have to stop and let the spinny things slow down, then get them going again in the opposite direction (otherwise it would take-off backwards). Better to get one of the little lorries to push it back, and *then* start the spinners.
Do you know absolutely nothing or about aircraft or something????? It didn't use its engines to reverse form the gate no commercial airliner can do they all use a pushback tug/truck to do it also what do you mean spinny things bro like the engine blades? they always turn on the engines during pushback or right after. Seems like you know nothing about aircraft maybe research some stuff about it before making a comment like this.
The 380 in the first clip was BATTLING that wind!!
And it looked like RyanAir came in HOT..
That’s okay, they’re known to put reversers in a little early…
Thanks, loved the A380 landing and the Ryanair, yes I know Ryanair but they get the job done. All very skilled pilots.
It's crazy how distinctive the GE90s are, it's been a few years since I was on a 777 but the sound is instantly recognisable
*Smoothest Ryanair landing ever...*
That gorgeous blue water at Sint Maarten!
1:55 That landing was butter af 🧈🧈🧈 I didn't even realize, that they have landed

Pulling out of Honkers with those big twins winding up. Love it.
Your Comment also makes a sort of sense if you swap 'Honkers' for 'Hooters'. 🤭
Jeez!.. I LOVE your videos! 🙂
That Ryanair landing was special 👌
Same with the 777 engines !
Goddamn, the cross winds on the first one
Oof
Yes?
Great job with your vids. Thanks!
ryanair footage seems sped up ?

Sped up or coming in HOT??
Yes, it was. I hate it when the numpties do that!
I was wondering if it was the angle or if it really came in at mach 9.
Hard to tell... I was fast...
There is a couple of leaves falling in the foreground... they look sped up.
Reduced to 50% or 75% speed, sounds crap, but now looks correct.
Why is the Lufthansa a340-600 landing in lisbon?
that first clip looks like a video game (?)
if its real.... daaaymn that was some extreme inputs required!
thechallengerPilot is an amazing guy !!
Great landing.
As much as I like the 777, ya can't beat the sound of the CFM's buzzsaw on takeoff... 😍
Awesome
1:20 good one! most would go around
Etihad in Hamburg?
Ryanair came in hot
Fake, looks like the video was on fast forward.
777-300. The best sounds

Does the stick also give out rudder input on the bus?
Ryanair always badass
Ryanair was COOKING😂😂
That first clip looks like MS Flight simulator
Hear the mighty engines roar, see the silver wing on high 🥲
Nice video

Winter - the season when pilots earn their stripes.
"Full left rudder!" Aye Aye captain!
Even the crew clapped after that landing.
I wonder how much of that rudder movement on the 380 landing is actually yaw damper actuated rudder?
Amazing rudder action, when you think that it is almost as large as a B737/A320 wing 😮
That A380's rudder looked like a Persian rug flapping in the wind. Very cool.
@jamesp13152 The graphics made it look like it was a multi segment piece. Also, watching the pilots inside never fails to impress me.
Is Maho Beach open again for tourists?
I thought it was destroyed by hurricane.
Tons of respect for pilots.
Great videos always!

I’m not really an aviation person, but on the first clip, why don’t the second engine on the wings? Don’t have reverse frust

Boeing pilot here, why does the A380 pilot use so much rudder that early during the approach?

Oh, come on.😁 Applying 'full rudder' when landing is about as newsworthy as "Car driver steers car around corner with steering wheel". 🤭

I wonder if the channel owner ever gets tired of accusations of short changing viewers by x seconds per video 🤔
All part of the fun along with constant demands for more Aerosucre clips. 😂
The youtube algorithm uses engagement to select videos to recommend. All comments are probably welcome if that is a priority for the channel.
Maybe not, but I get tired of reading them. I always think “Oh, grow up.”

You owe us 6 seconds.
For what???
You mean 5 seconds🎉
5
6 plus another 10 s for the intro. Nobody think about that
I counted 13
Notice only 2 reverse thrusters operating on that first A380 clip.
The A380 only has thrust reversers on the two inboard engines

@@EleanorPeterson Thanks for that. I did wonder if that was the case but didn't know.
@@joekettinger2494 Thanks for that.
Is the A346 so hard to land? LH already wrecked a fuselage in Tokyo.
Typical Ryanair landing
RyanAir landing hard and fast? Unheard of! /sarc
incredible how responsive that rudder is considering how absolutely huge it is!
It's as if the rudder was designed to be the correct size for the aircraft, isn't it?
@@markfox1545 still impressive hydraulics going on

Like about the zebra crossings?

HI u remember me? I subscribed u 4 months ago btw love ur vids 😄
🎉🎉🎉
Forgot to give us 5 more seconds lol
For God's sake - got to pause 1st clip within 5 seconds just- to say - STOP USING GAME FOOTAGE!!!!
Its not?
It isn't....For God's sake!!!!!.
Chill.
Ryanair doesnt like to be late lol
All Ryanair pilots dont go around often
I like these clips but the intro music is getting VERY old.
There's much older music than that. Gregorian Chant, for example.
What an ugly plane, the A380!...and I saw the rudder fluttering like a flag!
5 secs off
