It's 2024 and I'm still so in love with this work. I watched all of Genius Party Beyond because of this AMV and it's such a wonderful piece of human creativity! I always wish this specific segment got a standalone anime of longer animated short. I wanna know more about the story so badly! Thank you Nostro for making this. I'm a huge fan!
You're just gonna have to use your imagination for that one. However, if you want to watch more like this, look at other shorts made by Koji Morimoto, a lot of them a similar vibe. Noiseman Sound Insect for example. His artbook Orange is also very inspiring to look through.

But can we all just have a moment of silence and remember what wonder the AMV world was all thoes years ago.

This is easily one of my all-time favourite AMVs and it gives me chills still. The song is also awesome and I still want to check out the original source material as this makes me so curious about it!
Also most AMV are about combining the lyrics and the anime, they let you see the songtext. But with Nostromo the AMV and the music flow in the same way, it is more about the feeling you get from the anime and the music.
The animations in this video are mind blowing! I haven't see that much anime in my day but still it's just..I'm speechless at times because..well I'm just speechless! :D

That anime was such a weird trip; Idk but that girls voice really stuck with me. "Tatoeba..." Let's say.. there was a butterfly flying over a meadow. Still great amv!!! Still love it~
To be honest, I wasn't blown away by this on my first viewing. BUT as I watched it more & more times, I enjoyed it more. I think this one is more sophisticated & subtle than some others like Running Man (which may be my favorite). A lot of the scenes to rhythm seem less obvious because only part of the screen was moving to the beat, but eventually seeing the associations made me appreciate the technique more.
2:35 to 2:55 is so very beautiful. I oft-times just watch the video for the half split. It's pretty epic. Definitely my favourite video man. This is why I'm happy subscribing to a very talented artist.

This is from a compilation of animated shorts called "Genius Party Beyond." The name of the short is "Dimension Bomb." It is, unfortunately, rather hard to find. My suggestion would be to buy the DVD. The only version available (that I know of) with English subtitles is in Australia. I bought my copy from a sight called Siren Visual. Unless you're living in Australia, though, the disk will be Region 4, which means you'll have to get a Region 4 DVD player to be able to play it. Hope this helps
