A 6 inch scale demountable X-Wing, a bantha with a tusken raider from the book of Boba Fett or even bringing the Rancor back with Oola would guarantee to make it.
Great episode guys, very funny and 100% agree with everything you said!
I wish X-wing could be a thing. Probably the most iconic thing we are missing! -Justin
I think people are almost “trained” to wait until vehicles go on sale. With a Haslab you can’t wait. I love the Jedi Interceptor & AT-ST idea. Thanks for a great video. Keep up the good work.
Appreciate you checking out the new video, Gerald! Have a great rest of your week. -Justin
Rancor almost had 9k 🤣, hasbro really thought they were doing something with an inquisitor lightsaber that doesn’t even spin, OMEGALUL
It was destined to fail. Thanks for watching, Brunner Films! -Justin
I agree with you both. I think an x-wing would be a no brained as well. I would love a modular Jabbas palace or cantina etc where you could put it together to make a few rooms or be able to line the walls up on your shelf for a display. Unfortunately I think Lucasfilm has a big say in what can and can’t be made.
Lucasfilm/Disney definitely does have a pretty big say. Their license alone is one of the most expensive to acquire. A lot of limits and regulations of what they can and can't do. Thanks for watching, Darren! -Justin
The rancor still makes me sad to this day ☹️ also awesome intro 😂-Jacob
Got those Rancor blues...-Justin
I would love a AT-ST Haslab for the 40th anniversary of RotJ .A Anakin Starfighter for 20th anniversary of RotS in 2025 would be a banger. Start that Haslab in summer 2023 for a release date of May 2025 for this Starfighter. What a great discussion in this video. Have a great day.
100% I'd be down for this to happen. Thanks for watching, Volts! -Justin
Yeah Hasbro needs to be more organized and have consistent timelines in its production.
Great discussion, guys! You guys brought up some great points here. No need to fear about there not being another Black Series HasLab, when Pulse made the post about the saber failing, they did say there will be more in the future! I think a smaller vehicle would do great, personally I think Mando’s Starfighter would be a great choice. We’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds! -Tommy
AT-ST With pilot is the basic set. Then tiers could be the two Ewoks. If it is immediately funded add a working catapult. Maybe a Han in pilot disguise. The Jedi Interceptor is my favorite prequel vehicle so that would be awesome too. Why not try a new approach. People can pick which Interceptor they want. Just add Obi and Anakin as tiers. same with the astromech. But the ship comes with Decals. you make your own version.
I think I'm down for AT-ST! Let's get the AT-ST driver and the Ewok that used a glider. Thanks for watching, Rina! -Justin
1/12 scale vehicles and playsets are the only haslabs that will sell… I wish hasbro would get that through there head…
Let's see what happens! Thanks for watching. -Justin
6” is 1/12 scale. What are you talking about? People are quite dense.
@@robthecollector8905 exactly what I said we want 1/12 scale vehicles and playsets
@@robthecollector8905 I know what I said and said what meant
@@maxamillonstudios yeah okay. You also don’t know the difference between there and their. You’re just a dummy.
I bought the snowspeeder at full price. I have it hanging flat against the wall, like a picture. That said, I have the wampa and probe droid still in the box. I was going to display them with the snowspeeder but I don't have a shelf large enough for that kind of setup.
Yep this stuff can definitely get huge with the 1/12 scale! Thanks for watching, Tom. -Justin
Hello Tom I also have those 3 items I purchased at full price. But all 3 of mine are still in boxes someday I'll have the room but not just yet. Glad you also supported the Snow Speeder. Thanks for sharing.
@@theperceptor9287, its a great piece and crown jewel of my collection. I was so bummed for missing out on the TIE fighter. I'm kind of glad I did though. Many of my friends are having trouble with the side panels warping.
Stretch Goal for Jedi Interceptor (comes with an Anakin and R2) -
1) Buzz Droids
2) Swap out panels to make it Obiwan's Starfighter
3) Obiwan and his R2 unit.
Both the Obiwan and Anakin will get regular release without headset heads later on.
I know I'd buy 2!
I'd buy two if it meant getting both Interceptors! -Justin
X-Wing is the only vehicle that would get Hasbro back on track. Hope all well dudes, great video!
Thanks for checking out the new video, Andy! -Justin
Hey guys, awesome video! The G.I. Joe team also does a way better job of promoting than the Star Wars team. They had an introduction video that was narrated by cobra Commander, and the first unlock that was available was not a tier. The very first thing introduced was an additional figure that will be added to the offering if it exceeds minimum backing (8000 )within the first week. As you pointed out, It achieved that goal in 7 1/2 hours. That figure is an exclusive repaint of the H.I.S.S. driver that backers will be able to vote for its color scheme at the end of the campaign. I thought that was an excellent motivator to get people quickly to the minimum requirement! Could you imagine the rancor’s success if they would have just added the keeper as the bonus if you had reached its goal in a week!! The FOMO alone would’ve backed it! That’s so smart on the part of the Joe team. Perhaps it’s a lesson learned from the past has lab failures?🤷🏻♂️. G.I. Joe plays into the vehicles a little bit better because they had so many iconic vehicles that were in a size range that’s doable. And, for fans of the Joe line there aren’t as many options to collect as they are for Star Wars fans. I.e. Star Wars have fans have TVC they have hot toys, Lego, Pops, they have large cosplay conventions, they have all forms of fandom to enjoy. As you also pointed out, Hasbro owns the Joe license, which saves a ton of red tape delays for approvals as well as of course the extra cost. And at the end of the day for $300 you get a bad ass electronic, light up tank, with working treads, detail interiors, four figures and a ton of accessories! The figures alone are worth $100-$125! The G.I. Joe team needs to be applauded they did a phenomenal job……
OK, enough about the Joe’s. The next HasLab should be the AT-ST. It should be introduced with the driver. If it backs within the first week there should be an added, non-tier, extra. It should be something simple and unnecessary, like the Joe repaint. Perhaps a Han disguised as a driver variant? And then the tiers should be unannounced until reached. But basically blast effects, rocks and debris, an couple Ewoks, and Chewbacca. Price will probably be $350 because of the licensing fee. It should sell. Then six months later they should do a 2 pack of obi-Wan and Anakin‘s Jedi starfighter’s from the beginning of revenge of the Sith. Those are pretty small ships. I don’t think it would be unreasonable to get two Jedi starfighter’s two Jedi and two droids maybe with a couple Buzz droids.
I know they have said they’ll never do an X-wing, and I get the size argument. But it’s arguably the most iconic small vehicle in all of Starwars. I believe if it’s done well it would sell. A lot of Star Wars fans who do not collect black series would get it just because of what it is. But it’s most likely just wishful thinking. Guess I’m gonna have to get one of those darn 3-D printers lol. I am really hoping that the success of the H.I.S.S. tank shows Hasbro that there are people out there really interested in vehicles in the 1/12th scale.
Anyway, keep up the good work and positivity you guys are the best! May the force be with you!
- Nathan
Fantastic comments and I agree completely. I backed the hiss in the first few days and it's really exciting. My anticipation levels for the Skystriker hit the roof when I saw it. Can't wait for it to be with me, not in time for Christmas!! I backed the Rancor, and that was the most miserable collecting experience of my life. The dichotomy between the two lines, within the same company, beggar's belief.
For an AT-ST my ideal haslab would be:
Base offering the AT-ST vehicle with a removable clear stand, two drivers with different face sculpts.
1. A newly Sculpted Chewy that can be seated to drive the AT-ST
2. The Ewok who also drove an AT-ST
3. The Ewok with a Glider
4. Rebel Commando (give his/her mainline figure a different head sculpt)
As an earlybird special like G.I. joe did do a Nik Sant/Old Man Captain Rex in Scout trooper disguise. Preferably keep the name vague like “Disguised rebel trooper” to keep both sides of the fandom happy on who that character is.
Great ideas, Andrew! I'd back it. -Justin
Excellent Discussion Guys. I was very interested to hear your thoughts on the recent Star Wars HasLab projects. You make some great points. Let’s hope Hasbro is listening. Plus a Jedi Starfighter with an all new Anakin would be a Home Run! Almost as great as a HasLab Max Rebo Band with unlocks that include a B2 Battledroid and a Driodeka. You know, just because. Great Video 😎👍
Thank you, Collecting Star Wars! I truly hope we get Max Rebo in 2023. Fingers crossed! -Justin
Would love to see a Mando N1 starfighter
Seems to be a popular suggestion! Thanks for watching, Jason. -Justin
I say bring back the rancor! Include a boba w a saddle. It will fund right away
Bring it back! I'd be backing it. -Justin
At the surface it would seem that AT-ST would be a great choice but y’all brought up good points that the suits may not get on board with a vehicle b/c of past sales of vehicles. I feel like clones and that era is the hot area for SW. Any vehicle involving clones would probably fund if it’s in the right size and price range but not sure there is something that fits the size for haslab.
I feel like Hasbro really needs to jump all in on the prequel era. Clones are gobbled up like there's no tomorrow! -Justin
This shouldn’t be looked at as a failure for collectors but to haslab for not connecting to their base. We are talking about Star Wars not some random toy line.
It's not a failure for collectors at all. The lightsaber things kind of just "happened," lol. Thanks for watching, Kenobi! -Justin
Yeah I bought the Snowspeeder as well. I missed the Dewback though. Wasn’t collecting anything back then. Prequel Anakin fighter is a good idea for sure. Sideshow did one but as usual didn’t put it into production.
The vote should be a must since it’s a crowd funded service.
Snowspeeder was so worth it! And yeah I'd love to get an actual vote. -Justin
Yes I also purchased the Snow Speeder at full price and it was well worth it. A little Ani Jedi fighter I think is very doable and an R2 made to proper 1/12th scale w/ silver paint is needed. A vote would let them know what the fans want and hopefully what the black series community is willing to pay for. Hope you are listening Hasbro
We call that the “this is where the fun begins” headset 😂
Lmao yes! Loved that Hayden said the line at Celebration. -Justin
Agree, they should go with vehicles. Another possibility could be the Mandalorian Starfighter.
Yep that seems to be a pretty popular idea! Thanks for watching, Marc. -Justin
Man, i still wish that rancor got funded
Me too! We were backers. -Justin
Well said boys! A anakin jedi star fighter would be absolutely insane. I would literally back it asap. Perfect for a new Epi 3 Anakin and a new R2. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for watching, LazyJawa! Cheers. -Justin
Hasbro are making it too easy for the customising community to choose 3rd party vendors to upstage them
Especially for sabers. Thanks for watching! -Justin
This video is definitely to the point! I hope someone from the Hasbro Star Wars Team is watching this and taking notes!!
I hope so too! Thanks for watching, Joseph. -Justin
Great show and discussion, its simple ... AT-ST, Anakin Starfighter, Mandalorian Starfighter, or X Wing .. and no cardboard tiers = guaranteed success
Thanks, Chad! Have a great rest of your week. -Justin
Frustrating that Hasbro decides to market Reva's lightsaber as Black Series, I think they should stop using TBS as an umbrella term for their premium-grade products and stick to using it for the 6 inch figures (even calling roleplay items TBS feels like a stretch).
Totally agreed! They should take away that burden. -Justin
2:29. That’s just it. TBS should just be the 6’ figures. Putting that label on everything is too corporate in my opinion as well.
Yeah I'm just not a fan of that. TVC doesn't have that burden. Thanks for watching, Wizzy! -Justin
If they did a haslab AT-ST with a driver and the tiers being the Ewok glider, the catapult, and maybe even the log trap.
I'd be down for that! -Justin
Nice intro. Reminded me of Ken Burns documentary. You fellas are funny!
Thanks for checking it out, Albert! -Justin
Jedi interceptor or Naboo starfighter would make my dreams come true.
I’m still into creatures too, but beyond the rancor there aren’t many more that are iconic or big enough for a Haslab.
Being honest, I would love a Bendu Haslab. 🤣 It would not fund, but my Rebels bear wants it all the same.
The Bendu! Very interesting choice. I love Rebels as well but yeah, that definitely wouldn't work. I'm hoping for Jedi Interceptor! Thanks for watching, Brit. -Justin
I still want a Rancor. I’d be all-in on a 2nd chance before a Black Series scale vehicle or starship, although your ideas sounded dope! They know what it’ll take to get it done (Oola, Rancor Keeper, and articulating dungeon door and walls). But something tells me Star Wars isn’t gonna get a HasLab project any time soon due to back to back failures. 🤷🏻♂️.
I'd be right back in there backing the Rancor! -Justin
Wild that a company worth 7 billion with Disney behind them needs to ask people to fund for products... absolutely absurd haha
They don't "need" to at all. Purely from a "maximum corporate profit" perspective, I can understand why they choose to do it though. It guarantees them whatever amount they set. No risk of peg-warming, clearance, etc. Obviously the saber is stupid but if that's what it takes to get something like the Rancor in the line, I'm down for it. -Justin
@OutOfTheBasement obviously they do need to haha, otherwise this wouldn't be a thing. You guys defend loooots of stuff lol
@@idiot_city5244 You're clearly not understanding me. They don't "need" to do these, they choose to. They're a multi-billion dollar corporation. They definitely don't need to do Haslabs. But they do, as another avenue of making money. Why are you surprised that a company does capitalistic things in a capitalist society? -Justin
The Cloud city pods cars would be cool..
True! Thanks for watching Phil! -Nate
The hiss tank will come with 4 figures (Male Driver, Female Driver/Gunner, Male Tactician, & a retro Cobra Commander)
Along with multiple weapons, several alternative interchangeable tank pieces.
Hasbro also teased there may be an additional final stretch goal coming.
Such a great deal with that HISS! Totally epic Haslab. -Justin
WE ARE GENERATION PREQUEL!!!
I am so glad I found this channel
Glad to have ya! Appreciate it. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement Do you have the Black Series Imperial At-St with driver? If so is it worth getting, Im lookin at pics and the paint apps look like they are seriously lacking but I really love the walkers and wanted your guys expert opinion
Dude, the harmonica killed me!🤘
Thanks for watching Jrex! -Nate
It’s very simple HASBRO: just give the fans what they ask for. Hell, even align yourselves with a group of fan consultants. That would be better than taking it upon yourselves as a company thinking y’all know what people want and don’t😒🤨🤨😒
I think a vote could be a great idea! -Justin
I also think for haslab a at te or a at rt would be really cool especially since we're getting a lot of cool clone figures
Thanks for checking out the video! -Justin
Maybe a at rt sense those are not crazy big
Or maybe a clone gunship or maybe just some clone star fighters
Great vid guys keep up the great work.
Thanks, gamerzone! -Justin
I’d love to see a Juggernaut Turbo Tank for Clones to be around. Do you think that Haslab’s hearts are directed more toward OT-era products?
I think somebody somewhere (whether that be Disney, Lucasfilm, Hasbro, etc.) is afraid of the prequel trilogy for some reason. For a while there it seemed like Star Wars was trying to distance itself from the prequels. -Justin
As a prequel kid money is not an issue. I preordered the Hot Toys Commander Appo and Heavy trooper which BOTH come with BARC speeders and that rang up to over $1000. I will gladly back any PT era BS vehicles.
Imagine if they made more CIS droids like the Vulture droid that could transform? Or the spider droid? Hellfire droid? So many large droid options!
We definitely need more CIS representation on our shelves! Totally agreed, Fr0stbit3. Have a good rest of your week! -Justin
That intro alone deserves a 👍. 🤣
Lol we loved shooting that bit! -Justin
I beg a differ!!! Lightning has so many inconsistencies, inaccuracy, and QC issues. I guess they’re cool with accessories when they give you the weapons. The quality is much better on the Black series IMO.
I think the 1/12 vehicles don’t sell as well, because they’re so large. Especially since there’s so many vintage collection vehicles and now Micro Galaxy Squadron is coming in hot! I got the X wing and it’s awesome for $16. I also have the Falcon, crest, and tie advance coming on Aug 3rd from Amazon. Super pumped for them.
Great video guys!
Oh definitely! The Lightning collection is plagued with so many issues. We simply mean they come with more accessories then lines that Hasbro has to pay for. But yeah there is definitely something to be said about the vehicles poor performances. Collectors voted with their wallets and now we don’t get any that are standard releases. Thanks for watching Colt 45! -Nate
Nate sounded like a Deathtrooper when he was talking with his hands covering his mouth, knew he was an Imperial spy! Totally agree with Justin, not sure why the lightsabers and helmets are part of Black Series, they should be their own things. Nate’s voting idea is a good one with 3 options. LEGO Star Wars did that for UCS set and the Republic Gunship won.
I really hope we can get some kind of a vote! That'd be so cool. -Justin
Reva lightsaber was a bad choice and the rancor was just toxic fans and bad marketing
Pretty much! -Justin
Also it wasnt just that the teirs were trash that a lot of us revolted and canceled the rancor, we felt disrespected by the teirs and price, I had 2 i needed funded one for me and 1 for my brother and I would do ot again with the same tiers but the talk around the "watercooler" was the disrespect collectors felt
We are actually huge Rancor defenders, lol! We don't care about the tiers as much as other people. The engineering behind that figure was incredible. 45 points of articulation, they even had butterfly joints on that big boy. Would end up with 900+ paints apps (not colored plastic). We are both backers of the Rancor and we notoriously defended it/supported it during it's campaign! -Justin
I'm sorry I bought 4 hiss tanks and 3 unique figs really sells it too. I bought all black series vehicles. I have the Tie Fighter and the Snow Speeder. I want the Jedi interceptor. I Have the razor crest, slave 1, and Antoc Merrik's X-Wing.
Don't have to apologize for backing 4 tanks, lol! That's awesome. Thanks for watching, Nerk IRL! -Justin
Obi wan and his varactyl and general grievous with his wheel bike would be sweet haslabs. Or even a sarlaac pit with bendy tentacles and a skiff that goes in a detolf.
Not sure if those options from ROTS would be "iconic" enough for the thousands of backers that would be needed. Sarlaac pit with bendy tentacles is a very interesting idea though. Thanks for watching! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement I can just imagine how epic those two pieces would be.the lizard and that big bike. New obi wan, couple airborne troopers, new Grievous with a couple magna guards. I think that would fund in a heartbeat and be well worth 400-500.
Hey guys totally agree that Hasbro needs to take the Black Series label off of role play items. As much as I would love a TBS HasLab I think the scale is to big. An AT-ST would be cool but would stand almost 30” tall which is about a foot taller than what the Rancor would have stood. I would LOVE an X-Wing but again it would be huge. An X-Wing would be as long as TVC sail barge but the wing span would make it difficult to display unless you have a pole barn to display it in. The snowspeeder at $120 is about the same size as the HISS tank at $299... Just my thoughts. Always enjoy your content 👍🏻
That may be true about the AT-ST's height, but that'd still make it shorter than Galactus. X-wing would be amazing but I agree, it'd be so large. I don't even know where I'd display it! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement Justin, you’re correct! I had to look that up, I’m not familiar with Galactis. If they can get 31k backers paying $400 I have to believe TBS collectors would support an AT-ST. But, it all comes down to marketing, timing and cost. As proven by the Rancor failure...
It would be hilarious but frustrating if the next Haslap would be Captain Rex helmet with working lights and sounds. It's almost seems like Hasbro never learns from their mistakes sometimes.
Yeah please no helmets or sabers! Lol. -Justin
I agree! AT-ST or Jedi Starfighter, I’d back both and probably at least 2 AT-STs.
Same! I could see myself getting two AT-STs. -Justin
I would say that a good 1/12 scale vehicle would be the clone tank or the CIS tank
Appreciate you checking out our video, Miguel! -Justin
6" vehicles are amazing but they take up alot of space..I put money down only because of the Rancor keeper.. I'm hoping for the other side of the cantina bar with a couple of patrons..Hammerhead etc..cheers fellas🍺🍺🍻
Always down for more cantina aliens! -Justin
I feel for the Black Series collectors. The Rancor would have sold if slave Leia, Oola and the Keeper were included. But the size is the problem. I agree that the ATST would be perfect, but include the driver AND the assistant driver. There are two guys in film in the thing, include both. Tiers may be more difficult. One tier should be Chewie with the ewoks that hijacked one of ATST's.
Unfortunately Oola was never in the cards. I was so happy they decided to include Malakili but it was too late. -Justin
The haslab Rancor would have been a complete success if as base accessories it included malakili the Rancor keeper with his gaffiy and a bucket, the bones and the cardboard backdrop all of that for the cost of $300 is fair. The extra goals are kinda meh to me.
They really should've put Malakili in there from the very start, totally agreed. -Justin
The problem with the laser sword, is, regardless of what we think or hope, it was marked as bs. Both bs haslabs have failed. We can talk all day about piss poor marketing, shite ideas, and whose fault it was but we now have 2 consecutive fails which is worrying me about the prospect of them ever coming up with a workable idea. The cloth eared idiots who run this strange company more than likely go for hard facts, not nuances, such as the item was role play, and the rancor was the poorest sales campaign I have witnessed in 47 years on this planet. My choice would be the At-St and always has been. 40th rotj next year, ot vehicle and the tiers could be awesome. A main tier could be parts/decals for the mando raider version and the rest is a list as long as your arm. Drivers, scouts, ewoks, rudimentary bunker, speederbike, catapult, glider, ambush parts such as logs, a cardboard background scene which is not included and some ewok bones....My opinion on the Jedi starfighter is that is something they could do at retail. I know they won't, but if that size vehicle becomes a haslab, we're never going to see another vehicle again unless we pay upfront and then wait 14 months. Haslabs should be aspirational, something you dream of owning, not something the size of our beloved snowspeeder which is what the JSF effectively is.
I believe you bring up a good point David a lone Jedi fighter would be like the Snow Speeder. Perhaps either two Jedi fighters Obi and Ani or a Jedi fighter and a Vulture droid fighter two pack might be a good set and could fund for $300-$350. What does everyone else think?
I don't think we're going to see another vehicle regardless. Nobody bought them! And check out that HISS tank, it's not thaaaat big. Idk I just want vehicles again in the Black Series! -Justin
@@theperceptor9287 Tom, hope you are well my friend. That's a great idea, with 2 Starfighters. A real treat. It's something they definitely wouldn't do at retail, and the 2 ships make it aspirational, rather than we are crowd funding a snowspeeder. Plus, once they have made the mold, a further cost to produce two, would be materials and labour, thus making the second ship considerably cheaper. They could give us a fantastic double offering while cutting their own costs, which must be a win for hasbro and their customers.
@@OutOfTheBasement Honestly!!?? Dont say that J! This would be a very disappointing state of affairs. Depressing indeed....
@@davidedge2828 Hello David I'm good and hope you are doing well. I'm glad you think my idea is good. I think doing 2 Jedi fighters Obi and Anakin's fighters will save Hasbro money and would bring the cost down. I hope others in the comments will agree with us. Take care my friend. Tom
I would really, really love a haslab AT ST. It would look awesome!
Us as well! Thanks for watching, Alan. -Justin
People bring up black series vehicles being clearance like it's a legitimate reason why a vehicle Haslab wouldn't work.
There is no "I'll wait for clearance or sale" option with a Haslab, it would only go up in price.
It shows that Black Series collectors aren't willing to spend the money on full-priced vehicles. -Justin
It's that gamble where it's just expensive enough not to fly off shelves and that knowledge that retail stores will inevitably have to mark it down.
If the HISS tank was a retail release, many people would have waited for that clearance/sale price
Hello Nate and Justin another great discussion video. I also agree take the black series label off of anything that is not for the 6 inch figure line. The AT-ST w/driver would be nice but it might be a bit to tall if made to true scale. I also would like to have the Jedi fighter but David Edge brings up a good point it would be about the Snow Speeder size. Now if the Jedi fighter had working lights maybe sound effects, or if Hasbro made it a 2 pack 2 Jedi fighters or a Jedi fighter and Vulture droid fighter that would retail for about $300-350 dollars. I'd go for that and Hasbro would save money using the same molds for the Jedi fighter 2 pack. What does everyone else think?
The AT-ST would be shorter than Galactus! When it comes to the Jedi Interceptor, we'd get more of a chance in quality rather than just something that's big. Thanks for watching, The Perceptor! Take care. -Justin
You guys are still the best in the game.
Appreciate ya, TOOM! Haven't heard from you in a while! Thanks for watching. -Justin
I think this is a great discussion. I am sure there is some pressure to do something from the newer properties. I agree the lightsaber Haslab was a bad idea. I think it is cool but I don’t collect lightsabers (except for the one I made at Disneyland and the Dark Saber) and I am not ready to spend $500. I agree with your suggestions from the Oat and prequels. I would add a vulture droid ship with the Jedi Starfighter as a two pack Haslab. Also, a Republic Gunship. It would be big but not bigger than the tie fighter height. Maybe an ARC170. Anyway, great content!
Appreciate you checking out the video, Jeremy! -Justin
The rancor was a failure that will never be forgotten
Never forget. -Justin
Great Topic for a video guys! First off yes the fact role play items are labeled as Black Series is not good. It should be strictly for 1/12 star wars figures, dios, vehicles etc to go with the figures.
Both the AT ST and Anakin or Obi Wons Jedi Interceptors would make stellar haslab projects and i feel pretty confident either would be funded!
I remember the titan ships and helmets...i have the Vader and Storm Trooper helmets lol!
Fun idea for a future topic video. If hasbro lost or declined the star wars licence at some point in the future what current toy company would you want to take up the mantle ....personally i think hasbro is doing the best with the brand and for the price no other company could match what we are getting but for fun i think Mcfarlane could come up with some sick figures for star wars and maintain the price point as well
What's up, Fig! I seriously do hope Black Series gets another Haslab at some point. What an absolute random fluke dud with the lightsaber! I never picked up any of those ships or the little helmets. Just more failed Black Series experiments, lol! -Justin
For a good prequel vehicle for 1/12 scale black series of my choice should get the Boga creature (Obi-Wan's "warhorse" from ROTS) Or the General Grievous' spiral transport. Also, why not use Mando's N-1 Naboo starfighter from TBOBF and Mando season 3?
Would that be iconic enough to back as a Haslab though? And yep plenty of people have suggested the N-1! Thanks for watching, Beskarman38. Have a good rest of your week! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement You too, Justin.
Got a marvel legends comic Dr.Strange this week and it was packed with stuff!
Yes we know there are still ML that come with plenty. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement I'm more trying to start a conversation in the comments on the topic but it's cool you know!
Where’s my x-wing!? Made a tie fight, then snow speeder! Ugh
X wing is significantly bigger then both of those vehicles! It would legit have a 5 foot wing span if properly scaled. -Nate
A Jedi star fighter or AT-ST are good ideas, but the AT-ST had better be able to stand on its own. All the ones I've ever had didn't stand very well. IF Hasbro were to revisit a Rancor, I'd want one from TFU. Getting Starkiller, a Felucian with saddle, Maris Brood, even some troopers? I dunno, just dreaming I think. Great video guys
They could engineer some ratchet joints in the legs I think. I'd be interested to see how that would turn out! Thanks for watching, TK. -Justin
Give me a Black Series replica of Han’s blaster at a reasonable price and done deal. I’m in for either a 6” Slave One or N1 Naboo/Mando. You guys make great points. I honestly can’t see paying a lot for an At St though.
Han's blaster wouldn't even need to be a Haslab either! Slave 1 would be way too big for Black Series. Multiple people are seen as passengers of the ship in Mando season 2. -Justin
Justin sniffing why Nate played the harmonica, omg, that's perfect. 🤣. AT-ST would be PERFECT for RotJ anniversary HasLab, but will Hasbro realize it? I would totally love a Jedi starfighter too. Lightsabers are a total niche group of collectors. Black Series is for 6" scale figures and vehicles. I think that Disney made Hasbro use this lightsaber as a "HasLab." Just my opinion. Maybe Hasbro didn't make any videos and promote it to piss on Disney. Lol. Awesome video guys. 👍
Nate is a jack of all trades! Totally down for a proper AT-ST. I'm hoping they give Black Series 1/12 another chance! I honestly don't think Hasbro would intentionally piss off Disney, considering they love that Star Wars license. Lol! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement yeah, you're right about that, they would hate to lose the SW license. Nate is very talented and the show probably wouldn't run without your skills, perfect match.
I would fund a 1:12 scale x-wing or Anakin Jedi starship in a heart beat
Same! -Justin
The lightyear ship is 45 dollars and it works for 6 in price is a lot to consider
What Lightyear ship? -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement buzz lightyear XL 15 space ship
How are you guys not dying to have a republic clone transport ship?!?
I’d love to have it in theory but a true 1/12 scale LAAT would be the size of a coffee table lol. It'd be well over a thousand dollars I bet. Thanks for watching! -Nate
It would have to be tvc
@@OutOfTheBasement I would be bout it tho
LAAT gunship 👀👀👀
No way could they do a LAAT Gunship in Black Series, lol! It'd be like $2K. -Justin
X wing ,ATST, bantha with Tusken raider. Keep up the good work lads,TK421 out!
Thanks for checking out the video, Nathan! -Justin
Next Haslab should be an Exogorth, surely that would be backed
Say what! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement 😂 that thing would cost more than a house
Will we ever get super battle droid’s? Magnaguards? Geonosians? More Jedi? As for a haslab Anakin or Obi Wan Jedi starfighter.
Let’s hope we will one day! Thanks for watching Hector! -Nate
Me: *can't even afford 20 buck knockoff clones*
Also Me: "Do a 6inch scale AT-TE you cowards"
AT-TE would be insanely huge and expensive! Coffee table status, lol. -Justin
I want more 6 Inch Vehicles!
Me too! -Justin
Unless the legs are not articulated, I don't see an AT-ST working. The design of it is too top-heavy for a fully articulated version which wouldn't meet quality standards.
As I've said in the discord, I feel the best bet is an Imperial Troop Transport or Armored Marauder. They're both [technically] OT era, promote buying more troopers, and [the former] has it's history in vintage Star Wars toys.
I can definitely see your worries. But there is actually a Black Series AT-ST, it's just 3.75" Black Series. I haven't seen how the articulation works on that one. I'd be down for some ratchet joint legs on that bad boy. I think they can do it with the engineering tech that they have. It'd be shorter than Galactus. However I am absolutely down for your idea with the Imperial Troop Transport! I'd be tempted for two. -Justin
I don't agree on the AT-ST, I don't think it would fund. It's an akward, tall design that would be hard to pose or shelf. I also don't sense a community passion for that chicken walker. I think the winner would be a Mando Naboo fighter with lights and several pit droids.
It'd be shorter than Galactus. Plenty of passion! -Justin
Ngl the Jedi starfighter would probably be smaller than the snowspeeder don’t think it would be a Haslab they might do what they done with the tvc bobas thrones room and make it a hasbro pulse exclusive so they know how many sell so they don’t make to many
It's all about the quality of that Interceptor! The vehicles always go on clearance so I just don't know if it'd be a good idea to put the Interceptors in the main line. -Justin
As soon as star wars is mentioned, the price automatically rockets. And to me Hasbro have been bleeding fans dry for bog standard products for years
Thanks for watching, Andy! -Justin
I have the black series at-st it kinda sucks tbh it can’t stand on its own . I have to place it against the wall I’ll share a photo on discord later
It was also pretty cheap if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching, Dan! -Justin
Lmao y'all are crazy with that intro, but yeah totally makes sense to not include 1:1 lightsabers & helmets as Black Series. But they do, which is pretty weird.
I think a good Haslab would be a Black Series figure pack. Like all new sculpts and everything.
They could have a Droideka because I've heard plenty of people ask for that and a Super Battledroid. Maybe even a few B-1 Battledroids that can stand up lol and whatever other figures you can think of! Like a pack of 10 figures with "dELuXe" level of accesories.
Mando Season 2 Luke, Commander Gree, Commander Bly, Commander Bacara, Gregor from Clone Wars, Lord Starkiller in his kool Dark Side armor, Darth Malgus, Rex from Rebels. I think it'd be kool for all the Clone Commanders to have removable helmets.
Idk I'm sure y'all could think of more figures to include because I'm not too familiar with Black Series.
Maybe different diorama objects could be included as the tiers, like a hallway and floor setup like the TVC Tantive IV. They could have one of them be the inside of the Death Star or the inside of one of those CIS ships.
After typing that out, maybe a Jedi Starfighter would do better lol. TVC people have been discussing figure "dream packs" as a Haslab for TVC so maybe the same thing would be desirable by Black Series fans. Something to think about.
Appreciate you checking out the new video, Kickapoo Ninja! Have a great rest of your week. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement it's always a pleasure to check yalls videos out! Also, I hope to be sending a kool custom in the P.O. Box whenever I get a new LCD for my 3D printer. It'll probably be a few weeks tho
Should have played the last stand
The Star Wars team at HASBRO are truly out of touch with the fan base. They do not understand what fans want. There was no reason for the RANCOR to fail. It failed because they refuse to listen to the fanbase. They wouldn’t give OOLA, and they only offered the RANCOR KEEPER at the last minute, but it was too late because they’d already pissed off people with those garbage tiers (bones and a cardboard backdrop)😒😒😒🤨
Oola was never in the cards unfortunately. Honestly I was down for the bones but yeah the cardboard backdrop was way too silly and low effort, lol. Thanks for watching! -Justin
i think they should make anakins jedi starfighter. we need a new anakin and r2 release so it would be perfect.
Agreed! Hope they do that one. -Justin
I have a feeling the next black series haslab will be mandos new ship.(if there will be another black series haslab)
I can see that being a possibility! -Justin
the saber was doomed from the start. it had no spinning feature and the price of $600.00 was the real kick in the ass for all of it.
hasbro's star wars team does some good stuff. but, when it comes the haslab projects lately in that department they just keep hitting failures. i hate to say that cause the sail barge and razor crest were very successful but, when it came to the rancor and this lightsaber, they just really dropped the ball on things big time.
It was $499.99 but I hear ya. The spinning thing, I just feel like it would break easier if it had that. You're absolutely correct though, doomed from the start. -Justin
Just to add a point if I remember correctly Jabba's Sail Barge time to fund was extended was it not ? If Hasbro would have extended the Rancor say arguably even one day it would have funded I think.
@@theperceptor9287 Sail Barge didn't have a problem funding if I'm remembering correctly. Only Haslab that was extended was the Transformers. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement Thanks Justin I thought they did extend but if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. Take care
They should do the rancor again. But wait till 2024. The AT-ST should be now. And the 20th anniversary of ROTS 2025 Anakin star fighter mentioned below by another post member.
You already know I'd be backin' that Rancor again, day one! I'm also down for an AT-ST though. -Justin
A signifcant amont of work has seemingly already been done on the Black Series Rancor, it almost made it at 8533 out of 9000, they should just rebrand it as The Book of Boba Fett, give it the Rancor armor, make it a really good figure on its own and add bonuses like tiers that could include a Danny Trejo Rancor keeper(which can be easily customized into a Macheté), Muscular Gamorians, Tatooine Boba Fett with soft goods kama IE the actual Book of Boba Fett Boba Fett etc. Timing was poor for ROTJ Rancor but Ramcor Vs Rancor, TBOB Rancor wins in my personal opinion, it has amor and more of a character, more story impact etc
#ReviveTheRancor #TBOBRancor
If the Rancor ever comes back I'll be backing it day one! -Justin
Throw me a TVC CW Turbo Tank or Bad Batch Marauder and IA am all in.
That Jedi Interceptor would be epic!
I'm interested to see what they'll do next! -Justin
I think the fact that the GI Joe classified HISS tank has lights really makes it appealing compared to the 6" scale vehicles SW has done that don't have any light or sound. Those things matter to upscale collectors. Also, as far as that lightsaber Haslab that failed. I think the team wanted it to fail and they were forced by the delusional Kathleen Kennedy at Lucasfilm to do one for her strong female character that was of course poorly written. If this was their idea and not hers, they would've put a lot more effort into, had tiers, done weekly livestreams. You know, the stuff that's standard during any Haslabs campaign. They're glad it's over with and can move on to stuff that really matters.
No Inquisitor saber would've backed. It's not even because it's Reva's. No lightsaber would back as a Haslab campaign at $500. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement I think GI would've faired better, but just miss the mark. Mainly because their lightsabers aren't really duel worthy. For the same price you can get an aluminum hilt and duel grade blades installed by a 3rd party builder. The fact it was Reva, a brand new character instead of an established character like the Grand Inquisitor makes me think Kathleen Kennedy pushed this on them. The Rancor was a different scenario, the team just got cocky and thought Star Wars fans will just throw money at any Haslab that's Star Wars regardless of price or what's offered with it.
Max rebo band with multiple tiers…
The Dancers, oola, etc….
I feel like the Max Rebo Band could just be a Pulse exclusive or something. -Justin
I really think hasbro could do a at te
AT-TE would be far too big. -Justin
Maybe but if enough 6 inch black series Haslabs sell well maybe they could do it in the far future. I think that would be really cool
More ships!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! Thanks for watching Matthew! -Nate
I think the star wars team wasn't even interested in this project. It was so clear cut from the beginning. A poor choice for a dream item. No excitement no promoting it, no tiers. It was all lucasfilm in charge here. Now Lucasfilm and Hasbro have to wake up and just listen to the fans. Look at how Emily & Lenny promoted the tank...That's why GI joe Hiss tank succeeded and the last two black series didn't.,,Period.
Agreed, palptatine1975. Would you be down with a Haslab vote?!? -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement yes sure!
Tbh I’d love to see the AT-TE as a 6” Black Series Haslab. Just seems to be a really under represented vehicle in any form. You could include the initial Clone Driver and then add additional clones with different colours for the tiers, laser fire attachments and even a Battle Droid or Super Battle Droid as other tiers too.
Unfortunately a 1/12 scale AT-TE would be over 6ft in length. That just seems totally impractical. It would be glorious to see someone do something like that though, as a custom! -Justin
