I loved that old bus, it was fast and loud especially when he’d get it wound up and flowing just right, was an emotional moment for me taking the last ride on that bus before being retired and replaced with a freightliner C2

Where'd you acquire this from looks like a rig that my former dept millersburg pa had in the 90s that was refurbished then sold to Alabama then it was sold off from there.
Howdy, Despite the blower, a 2 Stroke Detroit Diesel is considered naturally aspirated. The blower is for exhaust gas scavenging and not designed as a power added. They require a blower to run. Its an 8v71N. If it were turbo charged it'd be, for example an 8v71T. You can usually tell a turbo from an na by the exhaust "bark" that'd be muffled and not nearly as "barky" as a na, and would have a turbo in addition to the blower.
Fix the muffler on the aerial. Sounds like middle school shop class. I won $5 off the video. Bet another Firefighter you would gun the aerial once the brake was set to show us your lack of muffler. I drove a pumper wth the same engine and muffled properly, it sounds really smooth. Also the governor issue is called galloping. Most cold start Detroits do it. They smooth out on their own after warm.
I don't mean to be so negative but when you talk to other people like that they lose all interest in hearing what you have to say. If you had better communicating skills I might have actually considered your opinions, but instead you tried to talk like a big man. I own my truck because it makes me happy, your approval will never mean anything.
