Seeing the contrast between Jack now and his old uploads is so funny. It's great seeing how much he has grown both as a youtuber and just overall as a person during his time on youtube.
I remember years ago being in middle school and being so excited to see if Jack uploaded an Undertale video; and listening to him do the voices. His play though of Undertale hits different
I love how every time Sean finishes a let’s play series, he does a very detailed summary of the game. Ever since Undertale and Night In The Woods I only watch his let’s play series. I always felt that those are the more calm and mature videos on this channel, videos where you can see more of the Sean side of Jack.
Watching Jacks lets play series with those kind of games just made me appreciate him and his personality more than I ever thought I would. And Maturer is definitely a good way to describe that feeling I get from those lets plays
I absolutely love this part of the channel; it's great to see a Let's Play leaving real critique and feedback that other indie developers can use respectively in their own work too
"The older I'm getting, i just wanna sit in a chair...." Sean, We're getting older too... we like progress. I don't think you have to worry about getting old- We'll always be there.

Today I decided to come back and watch. Being in college the last three years has really sent me away from all the stuff I used to love, including watching Sean's videos. But I came back today and I found this video, and I thought, "wow, this Jack is way different than the Jack I used to watch" but it wasn't sad. At this exact moment Sean said something along the lines "I hope this video isn't boring, it's just, as I get older, I just want to sit and tell my tale". The fact that this all happened in a split second really hit home. I felt like I came back, and I had grown up with Jack. That we we're both just tired and just wanted to talk. It's been a while since we talked. I have just went back and watched all your short films you've made, and Sean, I am so glad I stopped by again. I really love where you are taking your channel. Keep doing what makes you happy, and you will always have an audience. Thank you
Jack: "Shadow of the Colossus and Inside are the only two games that have series on my channel." Undertale: "Did our time together mean nothing to you?"
We need more videos like this. I love the editing, makes it feel like a documentary. And great picks. For me, in no particular order: Undertale, Minecraft, Castle Crashers, The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, Fallout, Skyrim, Doom, Red Dead Redemption, Ark: Survival Evolved, Spore, Halo, The Wolf Among Us, SOMA, and Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017). Those are the games that have affected me the most and that I've played the most. I also love Days Gone, Outlast, and Dying Light, but those are a level below. I have so much nostalgia for Lego games, but I don't really go back and replay them. I've yet to play Bloodborne, BioShock, and The Shadow of the Colossus, but I plan to.
honestly, i'd love a "nostalgia" month where you do episodes on the games here that you HAVEN'T done a series on the games that are specifically nostalgic to YOU
I’m so used to watching Jack’s playthroughs and never really these type of videos, but I realise now it’s like having a conversation with a friend! Videos like this from Jack are super nice
I love how Sean expresses his love for video games the way he does, he inspired me to play and explore new games. Sean gets a new game and enjoys the game whether it’s a sweaty or chill game. Thank you, Sean!

I think if he did this again focusing on face games from the channel they would for sure make it. But this is just his fave games of all time for HIM personally (seemingly outside RUclips).
I felt like Inside was overlooked, it was a "wow that was a cool game, OK on to the next one!" as with many RUclips playthroughs, glad to see it's deeper appreciation!

YES! Where is subnautica maan? Like its beautiful looking and its got the giant monsters and biomes too like he loved it so much, how is it not in here? Nevertheless its 40+ minutes of jacks voice so im not complaining

Very good list, but I was so sad when there wasn’t even a mention of Subnautica. Don’t get me wrong, all of his choices were great, but I absolutely loved his Subnautica series, I must have rewatched it like 10 times now and every time I love it.
I was very surprised it wasn't on there. Based on his channel growth from it, and how much he clearly loves it. It's a game that encompasses everything jacks likes in a video game. But sure look at the end of the days it's his list not ours
Same I clicked on the video thinking subnautica was gonna be there. But still there are good choices don’t get me wrong! But his subnautica series was great.
I have to say that Aloy talking to herself actually makes more sense than most other characters doing so, narratively speaking. She grew up almost completely alone with only one other person in the entire world to talk to, so she essentially only had herself for company. I've never played another game where the character regularly talking to themselves makes as much sense as it does in HZD.
If I had to make a list like this Horizon Zero Dawn would easily make the list. The graphics, the size of the world, the music, the combat...it absolutely blew my mind the first time I played it. I was a little younger then too so the graphics especially blew me away, up to that point I've never seen a more gorgeous and lifelike game prior to that.
Agreed, I don’t see why so many developers cant just do what the arkham games did and have the PC think to himself, in his head, and not talk out loud. I can’t begin to describe how immersion breaking it is when you’re hiding in grass or something and the main character just starts blabbering on about the quest while the enemy is like 5 feet away.
I’m actually so happy that jack is starting to like to make videos where he just sits and talks about things because that is my favorite type of videos to watch and I am living for it
I'm happy jack is happy with what he's doing now but personally miss the video games. Don't really have any more channels that I love that still play games anymore.
As a 30-year old mother, this is my FAVORITE video you’ve ever done. I LOVE just sitting and listening to people around my age talk. I’m honestly surprised you didn’t mention Little Nightmares, I believe cause it sounds a lot like Inside
no one asked but I'd say these are my fav 9 games: - bioshock - fallout new vegas - metal gear solid 3 - dark souls 1 - bloodborne - red dead 2 - last of us 1 - uncharted 2 - persona 5
I don’t know if I’m getting older but I love this chill jack now a days than the full blasting voice jack. Don’t get me wrong but back 3 years ago I loved that energetic jack.
I think we’re getting more mature for sure. I don’t keep up with his uploads much anymore, but I often go back and watch some of his older videos that I used to love, but I almost can’t stand them. Again, at the time, I loved them, but a lot of his energy seems very fake nowadays.
I rewatched Slime Rancher almost a year ago, watched the Bendy series recently, like a few months ago, ( its so cute when he hears his voice as Shawn Flynn.) I actually watched his three hour Slime Rancher stream a few days ago over the span of a few days. I was surprised how Slime Rancher wasn't here.
Well, he COULD make a part 2 I suppose? :v Or maybe a list with games that have specifically just good graphic or sound quality. That might be interesting to see too.
@Evan Duquenoy he describes subnautica as one of his favorite games to ever play on the channel but I think this is more in that these games were more formative. I was also surprised that spyro wasnt on the list but it's possible that it's suprisingly because he loved those game publically vs privately
Yeah, me too. He definitely made Subnautica one of my all time favourite games. I hadn't heard of it before he played it but I got it in Beta as soon as I saw his first video on it
The original Spyro: Year of the Dragon is my favorite game, because I always played it when I would go stay at my dad's house, and when my dad passed away in 2018, it holds even more sentimental value in my heart, and I still have it
That flashback editing was some of the best I've ever seen. Props to Robin for sticking with Jack all these years and making his videos all the more enjoyable.
Inside is also one of my favorite games. I loved Limbo and had very high expectations for Inside but I was still blown away. And you're totally right about the sound design. Chef's kiss!

I remember on Jack’s “How Did We Get Here” tour he told us about about what Shadow of the Colossus meant to him. He told us that it helped him through the toughest times of his life. He said that he saw the defeating of colossi as defeating his struggles and fears and that the game was so therapeutic to him. Every time I play Shadow of the Colossus I think of that. I’m so glad I got to hear him say everything he said. Thank you Jack.
It's nice to see Jack in his element again. This is the kind of content I missed, more heartfelt outpouring of his personality. Also Shadow of the Colossus and MGS 3 was absolutely revolutionary during the Playstation 2 eras. It opened up my eyes as to what gaming can possibly be.

The last of us is the first game i remember gushing about every moment. the lighting the moments of stress. the story that revived zombie concept with a refreshing take that actualy has close to real world posibility. well that and skyrim but that was because i remember the release and the guy was like see that mountain? yeah you can walk all the way there and up it. full open map. that blew my mind at the time now every game does that

I’ll try to keep my list short, but I might get carried away… • Bloodborne: Probably my favorite atmosphere in any game. I love the Gothic Victorian setting and the enemy design. And then the gameplay sends it over the top to solidify it as a perfect game in my eyes • Persona 5: I played this game to death when the quarantine started, having bought it in February last year. I loved the story and the characters so much that it quickly became one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. Now I’m going back and playing Persona 3 and 4 • Skyrim: This game was so huge when it came out, everyone was talking about it. I got it for the Xbox 360 in 2014, I think. Then I got it again for the PS4 in 2019. There’s so much to do that you can just sidequest for hours on end and never complete the main story. And that’s exactly what I’ve done. I’ve had the game for over 7 years and I still have yet to finish the main quest. • Fire Emblem Awakening: Not the best Fire Emblem game for its map designs or its story, but I am a sucker for character design and this game does it right for me. Every character has a memorable design and a distinct personality. The only downside is that I love almost every character so much that I have a hard time playing the game out of fear that anyone might die in battle. At least there’s a casual mode that turns permadeath off. • Pokémon Platinum: Simple nostalgia for this one. It was the first Pokémon game I played and it’s still my favorite. Favorite characters, favorite music, favorite Pokémon. • The Legendary Starfy: Another nostalgia one. This game came out when I was in third grade and all my friends had it. I got it for Christmas the year it came out and loved it. Looking at it objectively, it’s not a 10/10 game, but I still love it. It’s definitely a top 3 DS game and probably my favorite platformer. • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: Everyone already knows how great Ocarina of Time is. The 3DS remaster just enhances the experience with better graphics and better controls, so that’s why it’s the version that makes my list. Also, it was my first Zelda game, so it gets nostalgia points • Chrono Trigger: The first game system I got was a DS, so I’m a little too young to have played the classic Nintendo games. I’m fixing that issue now, though, by going back and playing some of them, like the original Legend of Zelda, Super Metroid, Super Mario 64, etc. One game I recently played and finished for the first time is Chrono Trigger, and it blew me away. Stunning graphics for 1995, a story that’s better than a lot of modern games’ stories, and memorable characters. It’s got everything I love and it was an instant favorite after I beat it for the first time just a couple weeks ago. • Road Rash: This is the oldest game on my list, but it’s the one I actually have the most nostalgia for. My first game console was a Sega Genesis and my dad would play games on it with me after he got home from work. We played Super Street Fighter II, Tennis, NBA Jam, and a couple of boxing games (we didn’t actually have any Sonic games). But our favorite to play was Road Rash, a motorcycle racing game that we totally sucked at. But it didn’t matter that we sucked at it because it was a lot of fun to see the character go flying off his bike after crashing into a car. It was the perfect bonding experience when I was a little kid and I can still return to it and have a lot of fun with the game.
"I play Bloodbourne _at least_ five times a year; and that's no exaggeration." *Me, who watches Avatar the Last Airbender at least 7 times a year*: Damn, that's a lot
I get the biggest rush of dopamine any time someone brings up FF9 and gives it all the praise it deserves. Literally nothing anyone says can bring greater joy to me, thank you Sean. You beautiful, Irish angel.
I saw final fantasy 9 in the thumbnail and freaked the heck out, had to immediately click on the video to see if it was true 😂 it’s such an underrated game, I am so happy to see more people talking about it. It needs more love 🥹 it’s my personal favorite game of all time

OK so a bit of backstory before I list any games. Ive been playing games since Atari. Since somewhere around 89 if I had to guess a year. Ive played a lot of different games and I've loved so many different types of games. It's impossible to pick 9 games because of all the different systems I've played on over the years. Atari: Classics like Pong, Burger Time, Pac-Man and Missile Command. There was even a hide and go seek game if you'd rather play it on your atari rather than actually going outside. Nintendo: 1943: The Battle of Midway, Wizards and Warriors, Bases Loaded, Double Dragon, Contra. Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout, Paperboy, Castlevania (all), Excitebike, Double Dribble, Duck Hunt, Mike Tyson's Punchout, Track and Field, Gauntlet, Mega Man(all) Ninja Gaiden, Qbert, everything Mario...and so many more. Super Nintendo: By time we had a Super Nintendo I already had a Sega Genesis, so the main game I played here was Mario Kart and Chrono Trigger. Sega Genesis: Obviously Sonic The Hedgehog, Double Dragon, Duke Nukem 3D, Frogger, Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball, Joe Montana Football, Lemmings, Mortal Kombat (all), Pitfall, RBI Baseball, Road Rash Virtua Fighter...and..I can guarantee I missed some. Playstation (all): Final Fantasy, Lunar Story, Allied General, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Breath of Fire II,IV, Bushido Blade, Suikoden, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Path of Neo, Champions of Norath, The Force Unleashed...Assassins Creed...Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.. PC Games: Oregon Trail...where we all learned we'll all die of dysentery. Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, The Old Republic, NeverWinter Nights, Doom, Duke Nukem, Fallout, Ark Survial Evolved, Minecraft...Far Cry..Jedi Knights..Mass Effect... Final Fantasy: Ive played so many different Final Fantasy games from the first to 15 and even the stranger ones like Tactics in the middle. I could have a list of just Final Fantasy games as my favorites on any given day. Sports Games: Over the years I have played a lot of different baseball, football and hockey games with some basketball, racing, bowling and even tennis and golf games mixed in. Not to mention all the wrestling games I have played with my son and nephews. Another list I could have if I was in that mood. So many games over the years I doubt I could narrow it down to 9. Final Fantasy 7 and 15 would be in there for sure. Lunar Story and Fallen Order as well but the rest of the list would depend on my mood when writing it... a bit of a cop out I know..but it is what it is. Sad part is I know this list is missing things..but we're talking about 30 years of video game playing. I've never been much into first person shooters aside from playing them with friends sometimes. So there was a Half Life phase in there, some of the Battlefield and Call of Duty games but never serious. Just..so many games..yes..I'm old (lol sorta..only 41). Anyway...hope somebody enjoys this..insanity.
@Jake Hatfield i feel bad for you. You must be very lonely, im sure you feel very alone, given that people probably dont pay much attention to you at school, nor do your parents at home. Its a sad existence. Hopefully in the future you will make friends, and you wont feel as miserable as you must in your every day life. Good luck.
@Jake Hatfield no, not in the slightest. I just feel pity to what i imagine is some 10-14 yr old kid who leads a sad existence. I couldnt imagine craving attention and affection and being denied it to the point of hoping to fill that lonely hole online. Again, good luck to you.
@Jake Hatfield using a word incorrectly as a mediocre insult while not even knowing its definition helps cement my theory on your age. on top of the fact that the way you treat others is a reflection of self, i hit the nail on the head with my observation that you are a sad, lonely kid, maybe even somewhat self loathing. I would imagine when you are that lonely, any interaction is a good one. I hope you get the attention you crave in your life, i really do, maybe then you will feel better about yourself and your situation. Good luck, again.
@Jake Hatfield far from angry, iv got no reason to be. Just, feeling sorry for you. You must be one sad, lonely kid. I feel like im doing charity work giving you some of the attention you are so desperate for.

HZD is my favorite game and it was my first experience with a character like that so maybe it’s essentially my Uncharted

@DXG & @Felixpie Sea Crescent didn't say that, it's just a shitty excuse for a human being that made a channel (and possibly a bot) to spam atrocious things and now the original comment has been removed to leave Sea Crescent's response to their rudness with no context.
PSA: if you see someone posting with comments or names like that, just report them.
I’d die for a bloodborn series!
@@Firnthuleien I deleted my comment out of fear lol also thx for telling them
undertale and the bloodborne series that you just finished are my comfort watches. the personalities that you give to the characters in undertale cannot be matched, and the charisma that you have in bloodborne never fails to make me smile :)
Love how in depth Jack went on explaining why each of these games are his favorites and why they mean so much to him. Since he's a fellow Lost fan I hope he does one of these for tv shows as well haha
Jacksepticeye game tier list is something that I only could’ve thought of seeing in my wildest dreams

RDR2 better be there, like at the top
@KelvinBB ok 400 subs
@Pray for me ok 0 subs
I hope everyone who reads this has a great day
Can you please help me get to 10k
@KelvinBB Bro, wth, ur trash lol
I’ll try to keep my list short, but I might get carried away…
• Bloodborne: Probably my favorite atmosphere in any game. I love the Gothic Victorian setting and the enemy design. And then the gameplay sends it over the top to solidify it as a perfect game in my eyes
• Persona 5: I played this game to death when the quarantine started, having bought it in February last year. I loved the story and the characters so much that it quickly became one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. Now I’m going back and playing Persona 3 and 4
• Skyrim: This game was so huge when it came out, everyone was talking about it.
Also, it was my first Zelda game, so it gets nostalgia points
• Chrono Trigger: The first game system I got was a DS, so I’m a little too young to have played the classic Nintendo games.
Awesome, I love seeing persona fans.
Can't wait for jacks videos when he's 80 doing a Grand kid teir list
Wtf why did this make me laugh so good
Detroit Become Human is one game that had a huge lasting impact on me as a person :)
Me too, one of my favorite games :)
Surprised it wasn’t on the list
same. it had huge impact on my life and gives me huge nostalgia playing and rewatching seán play it.
"I play Bloodbourne _at least_ five times a year; and that's no exaggeration."
*Me, who watches Avatar the Last Airbender at least 7 times a year*: Damn, that's a lot
I rewatched both The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra a few weeks ago. They're both great but the nostalgia from The Last Airbender is hard to beat.
Lmao this is hilarious because I’m rewatching it for the 4th time rn
Well it's different to play a game with potentially 20+ hours of gameplay
Same
*laughs is listening to the same books series like 12 times a year*
I get the biggest rush of dopamine any time someone brings up FF9 and gives it all the praise it deserves.
It needs more love 🥹 it’s my personal favorite game of all time
I love this laid back content. I grew up watching you through all the phases. From the yelling in the cabin, dying your hair, and now it seems like your content is really slowing down. I feel like it’s growing up with me and I love it. Thanks for everything you do man.
"I feel like I did a really good job at representing the game"
*Cuts to empty seat*
Fucking priceless
I haven't gotten to this part, but I know exactly what your talking about 💀💀

@@marsbars7204 i dont think robin was working with jack yet at that time. Either that or i just have a bad memory. Only reason i say this because i thought jack said he forgot to cut that bit out. Idk. Correct me if im wrong. Just what i remember or at least think i remember.
Yes, your Undertale voices were perfect. I watched the series five times already, haha.
I love his voices , I used to fall asleep every night to the playlist just because it was relaxing background noise . But RUclips's commercials go so crazy that I'd wake up to this 20 min ad about soap or ball trimmers

Thank you for the recommendations
Loved the format for this video, wouldn’t mind seeing more like it. Even made me really think about what kind of games shaped my childhood afterwards.
I always go back every couple of years to your Undertale series. It helped me through hard times back in the day.
I’ve never played these games myself but I just like listening to people talk about what they’re passionate about
Same
@Jake Hatfield i feel bad for you.
"People wouldn't watch me play those games" Honestly, I'd love to see you play these games. I really like watching you play new games to see your reactions, but I loved watching your SotC remake playthrough because I know how much you love that game. I just like hearing people talk about stuff they like!
I always really enjoy listening to people talk about the things they love and why they love them. Also I really like the way this video was edited
**intense zooming and shaking whenever old jack clips came up**
Honestly, is love to see a playthrough of any of the games Jack hasn't done yet from this list on his channel.

@KelvinBB nah
It's only been a week since the last video lol
The only video game with an end that I’ve played multiple times through is “Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey”, on the Wii. I LOVED that game and I have so many fond memories of it.
Night in the Woods has always been one of my all time favorites! I loved the art style, the soundtrack, and the story!! I actually bought my first ever computer for college fairly recently, and got to play it through myself for the first time, and Jack’s voices for Mae and Gregg are still what I hear when I read their dialogue even 4 years later haha!
every time i play it i always think of jacks voice for gregg!!
SAME! NITW was so good
Pokemon Blue AND FF9; loving it!!!!!

Undertale is the whole reason I got into Jack's channel and I've been subbed ever since
Same
Kinda same
I was a subbed long before I saw his undertale series (that doesn’t mean I was a subscriber before he did the series, he had finished both the pacifist and genocide 5 years before I watched them) and I didn’t watch him much, after watching it I started watching him every day.
Same
tbh I avoided Undertale for a year when jack played it and I had no idea about what is was, but when I watched it, I fell in love with the game
hearing jack talk about undertale makes me so nostalgic and happy. i love that it means so much to him, because it’s the same for me. the game means the world to me and i will never get over it
literally same omg, it’s my favorite game ever, I played it when I was in middle school and now I’m 20 and still feel the same emotions haha
undertale makes me feel so warm and fuzzy and i don’t care if that’s cheesy i love it so much
Can we just appreciate how Robin beautifully edited this video. The transitions and everything is just so on point i love it.
