I remember there being a maze made out of playing cards in a trailer for the game. I thought that was a cool idea and was sad that it wasn’t in the final.
If I had to guess, it would have been in Bowser's Castle. They planned a whole set of puzzle rooms leading up to Kamek and Bowser to be present, but all of them got axed except for the rolling tapestry room.

For once,we are in agreement! In the beta,it seemed like it was going to still have its Sticker gimmick but continue to evolve the old formula. I wouldn't mind that at all even though I would prefer a more SAGA-esque gameplay style.
Ironically SAGA is the only Mario & Luigi (if that was what you were meaning) that has a gimmick that everyone pretty much loves it instead of being kind of derivative.

2:30 I heard that this pipe was actually supposed to lead to Mario’s house, which was a recurring location in the Paper Mario series up until this point.
I didn't think they would have these instead of that card level in the prototypes, cool.
It's neat little things like these that make you temporarily forget how disappointing this game was...
Very interesting!
Also I love TO BITS how you used Kersti's dialogue as an explanation for the unused areas themselves. Very clever and truly something unique.
Thank you for this video!
This form of Kersti is now canonically the only form of Kersti, the one that's humorous in every way
Hey, what do you know, Kersti actually being helpful, for once, also, happy 10th anniversary Sticker Star! 😉
You write fantastic custom dialogue. Have you ever considered making a full romhack of a Paper Mario or Mother game?
Yes, but the tools are not there.
2:45 I believe I heard somewhere that that pipe originally went to Mario’s House, just like how there was a pipe to Mario’s House in Paper Mario 64.
I hope you can find unused content on Color Splash! That would be great!
The forest pipe used to go to Mario's house, However there is no map. This is because the ingame name is "Mario House pipe"
oh wow. going back to the past, are ya?
Oh my Kersti you suddenly very knowledgeable. Did you actually do some studying?
Did you actually edit Kersti's text? If so, how did you do so? I'm trying to find literally any way to mod this game and give it more personality.
I don't remember, to be honest, but if I recall correctly, the text is in BMGs, which is a fairly common Nintendo format.
Watching this has made me remember how good this game’s graphics are. To bad they’re in this game.
Then theres colour splash
The unused exit was probably for the early decalburg version from the nintendo world 2011 build.
The trailer showed a third exit in the early decalburg.
How did you edit the text? Not just in this game, but also the other Paper Mario titles when you changed the script.
It would be kinda cool if someone made a rom hack if this to make a whole new Paper Mario game. One with, like, the old mechanics and stuff. But that would be extremely difficult and not worth it. Might as well make a whole new game, like the Bug Fables team.
the pipe in the woods could be a scraped enterence to the spider cave or snifit show....

I just realised why I hate Decalburg’s music
Thanks for doing this, I know you don't like the game. Great video.

All the map filea are called "mac_X"? Huh.
Town files. It's the same in SPM and TTYD, incidentally.

You think “Seal Fiesta” might have something to do with like, the Bowser tape you can find on objects that can be peeled off?
i know people have probably figured it out, but "seal festa" is just the sticker fest's japanese name lmao
05:03 only thing of note is how there's only one door on the top as opposed to two.
I still wonder how this game had been if Miyamoto hadn't meddled his nose where he shouldn't have.

Gotta hate it when your emulator can't run games correctly
So when you load these areas they instantly warp you elsewhere? Is this some crude way of "fixing" warps that still pointed to these old versions?

Wrong. In the European Spanish version, it's known as 'Feria de la pegatina' (literally "sticker fair"). 'Seal Festa' (シールフェスタ) is from the Japanese version of the game.
