4:55 "it's actually a goomba"
Tippi, we've talked about this
It's actually Tiptron.
Tippi at the eye-wear store: Hmm... I'm not sure.
Notso: Please, Tippi, just choose your glasses already. You've been here for three hours.
Pretty sure that’s a koopa
@@nadinedepelteau7959The thought of tippi floating there looking for glasses that are too big for her makes me laugh
@@prosylan6368 oh great now i gotta draw this
Glad to see Tippi got her vision fixed and doesn't see everything as a Goomba anymore.
Or worse, a pipe.
Actually, that's Tiptron. Tippi still has bad vision.
What...
What are you... Talking about...
@@PrincessGrouchy play the game then you'll get it
@@PrincessGrouchy I'd tell you, but it's part of the PLOT
Ah Wii crash sound
Thank you Skawo for giving me Vietnam like flashbacks to early Wii hacking
Small reminder that Doopliss thinks you don't exist.
What even causes it? The Wii has no error handling at the system level, so is something being overwritten?
Timestamp?
@@Wiimeiser hacked wiis have crash handlers, but stock wiis or emulated wiis don't.
Wiimeiser IIRC when the Wii hangs most of the drivers shut themselves off. Audio is an exception, and it just plays the very last data it received endlessly.
Thank goodness Dark Back Cursya didn't make it into the game. That would be pure evil sneaking these in especially as you have to do that damn trial twice.
Imagine putting it RIGHT before the final boss. >:)
I mean, you should probably be in the habit of killing any Cursya from a distance (or at least tattling it with Tippi) before giving it half a chance to tag you.
It would appear on floor 99 for sure
Imagine if they implemented it so that it was the only way to escape from Floor 100 for the first time.
Just this slow moving, invincible Dark Back Curseya, slowly shuffling towards you, being literally the only way for you to escape but also something you just don't want to touch.
-Because you're at 1HP with no way to heal and you'll die if you do.-
Maybe if they were in the first room...
damn i admire the editing and everything in this video
Oh damn, I never thought I'd see Kaze in a Skawo comment section
Yeah, I like this masterpiece for it's edit more than for any other thing
Very faithful to the original

18:01 Imagine just walking through a level when you see this Spiny start sliding along the ground towards you, unwavering
r u n
Spiny: ooh I'm a get you * nyoom *
17:43 Oh hey! It's Sticker Star Wiggler! Dark magic involved with him, too.
19:51 Gah! Gaaaaaah! I legit thought these were indeed in the game already, since the capture card you get for them just says something along the lines of "You'll never know what curse you'll get unless you risk it!" As such, I handled them with extreme caution and flamed them with extreme prejudice. Man, knowing they were actually sealed away in the prison of forgotten files would have made running through the 2nd pit way, way faster.
21:08 ... Why not call them "Black I"s? Considering the alternate colors for Mr. I seem to be based on other ocular ailments...
... It's interesting to see when the descriptions were "in character" and when they went "full Skawo". A weird ability of our sassy host: to write dialogue (& monologue, in this case) that's surprisingly in-character of someone despite the lines maybe not being something they'd say at all.
*Defeating unused enemies crashes Super Paper Mario*
You wish
14:43
25:54
Not all of them though
16:13 Actually, i believe that the Underchomp was meant to be used in the pit of 100 trials, without the turn-based system. Probably was scrapped because the rooms didnt have much space to fit in the Underchomp. Monochrome version would probably be used in the Flopside pit of 100 trials.
And for the gold bar X3, its behavior is very similar to those of the Sammer Guys. So maybe they assigned the behavior of the Sammer Guys to a gold bar X3? No idea how programming works in this game so... just a theory, I guess.
From what I've read, it seems the Monochrome version would've actually been used in Castle Bleck.
Yeah that makes alot more sense, now that i think about it. For it to be used in the Flopside pit, they would have to be absolutely black.
If you ask me, the way it follows you around and disguises itself as an item reminds me of the item tricks in Merlee's Mansion. Maybe a later level would've employed a similar concept with a more fiendish type of item and different behavior. The quick sword slashing noises do add some credit to your idea, though. Yet, it moves fairly slowly.
I call the Monochrome Underchomp "Overchomp"
20:40 It wouldn't raise the ESRB/PEGI rating more than it would cause mothers everywhere to break out the bars of soap to wash the mouths of the kids who dropped f-bombs after being sent back on Floor 99, before defeating Shadoo, too... o.o;
wow, super accurate to the source material, Tippi ends every sentence with an ellipsis!
That's Tiptron.
i know but i honestly dont care, their basically the same thing
@@chippitigameing So you think Tiptron can actually replace Tippi ?
@@cottoncherry2177 they are functionally the same
@@bigpboy1012 Right, they're saying Tiptron is a good replica of Tippi
I fear no man, but that thing...
*Dark Back Cursya*
IT SCARES ME.
There's something strangely......creepy about a inanimate trio of Gold Bars chasing you around while making strange noises, with no description, and crashes the game when you touch it.
The fact they even considered and programmed in a Dark Back Cursya is a crime against humanity.
Reminds me of that whole snail that is invincible and if touch it,you die thing that people post.
And that VERY FAST spinning marios on single block thingy that crashes the game when killed
Its like those 1 up challenges people do where a 1 up chases you nonstop until it kills you, so maybe the devs was joking around with something like that but also did it to test how the game manages crashes or something.
Skawo's data ghost possessing Tippi will always be a novelty. I wonder if having a Tippi bot IRL that could identify everything for you would be handy...
Wait, that's just a smartphone.
That's Tiptron.
(Siri intensifies)
Hey, Tiptron
Tippi Lense
7:30 What if they were gonna be used in those sections with the giant 8-bit characters? Like when you touch that star and you grow? They could have been used for that. And since that power up lets you kill anything, it would also defeat the bill blasters!
The last one is clearly the legendary character fidget spinner. It is so powerful it has the ability to crash the game when 'killed'
Ben D when you 'kill' it is just slightly bothered enough to use 0.000001 percent of its power to crash the wii.
If Dark Back Cursyas were actually implemented, being sent back by them would be the number 1 worst thing that could happen to you in Super Paper Mario, no contest.
Especially if one appears in Room 99.
If they confirm that it was indeed meant to spawn in Room 99, then that'll make them even worse than fucking Satan.
except, y'know... doing all 90+ of those floors all over again.
Just be thankful they weren’t in the final version.
24:55
Strange wheel that copies every sprite that the player uses: *exists*
Tippi: *Visible confusion, can't even say that is a goomba*
But seriously, why does that thing was made? is was supposed to be a spike ball? I just saying, cause it damages mario and it spins around like crazy
You got Tippi's ellipses spam down-pat, I see.
5:18 Love how the Spear Guy throws his spear in rage as its death animation.
"DAMN IT I DIED!"
10:53 Mr. L was technically the only enemy that could heal, right? I wonder if they could've implemented the White Magikoopas to heal themselves...
15:28 Those Underchomps staring at Bowser, as if to say "Uh...you OK there? Uh...can you like, stop breathing fire on us? Please?"
21:25 Don't 3D enemies and flip-enabled enemies fall down to the bottom floor of each Pit room? Wouldn't the Mr. I enemies do the same?
23:37 Aren't Spike Tops meant to be immune to explosions? Wonder if they had to pay that immunity to Bestovius for the dimension flipping ability...
They aren't immune to bombs.
I think Shadoo can heal as well
Even skawo gave up on describing the spinning thing. Does this thing have some kind of codename?
"Speewwwn"
Was likely an animation test or just a dummy. There's a similar sprite in Doom.

very on the nose attempt to represent the evils of greed with those gold bars
dead money be like
would've probably been a trap in mimi's mansion, simmilar to the mushrooms
The Shady Paratroopas actually will swoop down at you if there's room (aka they're not at ground level). You can get them higher by picking them up and throwing them onto a higher surface, and letting them fly away from it.
From what I read, apparently the monochrome Underchomp would've been used in Castle Bleck.
Also, I get the feeling that the enemy Mario was an early version of Dark Mario. Maybe instead of dark versions, they would've been just straight-up clones.
Ah yes, a SPM video to watch while in quarantine. This was such a good game imo.
16:00 I think maybe this would've been the "Overchomp", the Underchomp's Overthere counterpart. Maybe you were meant to fight it before Bonechill.
Given the palette, it could've also been a Castle Bleck enemy
18:10 Sheer Heart Attack has no weaknesses.
KOCHI WO MIRO
Here’s what I think about where these enemies should be, and how they act.
Shady Koopa: Chapter 8? While I would say Chapter 3-1, this is also the chapter with non-brainwashed Koopa Troopas. Possibly can appear in Chapter 5-3 and/or Chapter 5-4, considering that this is in a cave. Other variants like winged, flipping, etc. would apply here too.
Shy Guy: Anywhere really. Of course except Chapter 6. Considering that they are basic attackers in the original Paper Mario, that could be the reason why they are unused.
Spear Guy: Chapter 5-1 and/or 5-2. They’d either jab upwards and to the side, or throw their spears, leaving them vulnerable.
Stilt Guy: A bit stumped on this one. Perhaps the Overthere or Planet Blobule? It’ll do exactly like it’s shown, except it’ll have a taller hit box. It’s either immune to Thoreau or it’ll be off of its stilts when picked up by Thoreau. Height could probably be changed, with some being so tall, that you have to flip.
Fly Guy: Dotwood Tree or the Overthere. It’d be a simple flying enemy.
Bombshell Bill Blaster: Castle Bleck for the reason that they typically appear in the final chapters. Could possibly explode, or are stronger versions. I doubt that the giant ones would ever be used, though I can see normal sized ones.
Spinia: Considering the location of Spania, either before Chapter 5-3, or during Chapter 5-3. If before, it could be in the Bitlands.
Spunia: Considering the location of Spania, after Chapter 5-3. They may just appear in Castle Bleck, either replacing the Spanias in the locations, or be alongside with them. If appearing anywhere else, only thing I can think of is either the Underwhere or the Overthere, or in Flopside’s outskirts.
Green Magikoopa: Raises the defense of nearby enemies. Most likely would appear after Chapter 3-1, probably only appearing in Castle Bleck, and/or the Flipside Pit of 100 trials.
White Magikoopa: Heals enemies. Most likely would appear after Chapter 3-1, probably only appearing in Castle Bleck, and/or the Flipside Pit of 100 trials.
Red Magikoopa: Makes enemies stronger. Most likely would appear after Chapter 3-1, probably only appearing in Castle Bleck, and/or the Flipside Pit of 100 trials.
Green Boomboxer (Bangboxer? Blipboxer? Beatboxer?? Yeah! Let’s call them Bleepboxers): Interesting that Boomboxers already have three variants. Considering that they shoot six, they are probably in between variants of Beepboxer and Blastboxer. If I am not mistaken, both of these also shoot six. Would see Bleepboxers appearing either in the Floro Caverns with its green color, 5-1 to hang out with its other upgraded buddies, or in the Overthere/Overthere Stair to make platforming more of a hell (ironic as this is supposed to be a heaven).
Purple Muth (considering that Mega Muths are named after their size, perhaps Huge Muth or Big Muth, or as you said Giga Muth): Considering the locations of their normal counterparts and their Castle Bleck counterparts, I am certain that they would appear in the Underwhere and the Overthere when the Skelobits raid. If Mega Muths are gods amongst Muths, then maybe these Muths are the devils amongst Muths.
Monty Mole: Anywhere in Chapter 5, maybe Yold Desert, maybe even the Underwhere. Would throw rocks or walk around.
Gold Bar x3: ...
Non-turn based Underchomp: Same location. Reason why that is unused is probably because it would’ve been too easy.
Monochomp: Either the Flipside Pit of 100 trials as the final boss, or in Chapter 8-2 as one of the enemies you can answer to Mimi. Could be an alternate design. Would (now) be turn-based.
Beta Ruff Puff: Same location as before. Probably a balancing reason, though why would there be a duplicate?
Wiggler: Dotwood Tree, Chapter 5, or possibly Gloam Valley. Would turn red when hit.
Odd Spiny: Could probably be the Green Spiny from SMB3. Would be with Lakitus, so probably the Overthere Stair.
Dark Shady Koopa: Flopside Pit of 100 Trials
Dark Back Cursya: Flopside Pit of 100 trials. I could see why this is scrapped. I honestly could see this specifically in Room 99.
Dark I: Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. Considering that the platforms are 2D... well, it’s not impossible to kill it. You can use Fleep and it’ll still work, and by the time you reach the pit, you would already have Fleep, but it’s probably a tougher egg to crack then trying to kill the Dark Barribad.
Dark Atomic Boo: Underwhere Stair, like how there are both Boos and Atomic Boos in Merlee’s Basement.
Flipping Spike Top: Same locations as Spike Tops.
Non-Shadoo (Lightoo? Mimi?!): No idea. Best I can say is that this could be another Mimi fight, but even then I don’t know where. Would be awesome if this is how we fight Mimi. In fact, why didn’t Mimi shapeshift into the players while fighting? Doopliss did it. As I said, it could also be another concept of a final boss for the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials, though that’s unlikely. Considering their placement... it could be extra code for the Sammer Guys like what you said. Won’t be surprised if all of this is also placed right next to (or nearby) Mr. L.
Spinning Players: Um... Why is this coded?
I think you also forgot a black Goomba variant, rumored to be named “Kamikaze Goomba”. It could probably explode on contact, though I don’t think there is any programing. I won’t be surprised if they would be exclusive to the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials.
For extra evil, the Dark Cursya should chase the player, cosmic-clone style
Yeah because you LITERALLY CAN'T GET INTO THE FLOPSIDE PIT WITHOUT FLEEP
10:00 *Mouse cursor detected*
Is that a... Gaboo as your pfp?
Monster rancher?
@@nobodyinparticular9640 yup
And that's why you should disable "Mouse capture" on OBS. So the mouse cursor doesn't get shown.
Gold bars: exist
Wii: *oh naw*
Maybe the stack of gold bars were meant to be like those item traps, like the mushroom rooms from merlee's mansion or something.
It's been a while since I've first seen this video, it's nice to see it again, with added content!
24:55 Imagine a sequence where they actually used this... it would be the trippiest thing you could ever see in this game. Perhaps it could appear as a result of Dimentio's magic, considering he already uses the clones one?
0:07 General Tiptron! You are a bold one!
You nailed the writing. Very Paper Mario-esque.
Mario: *Collects the Gold bar x3*
Game: *crashes with horrible sound*
The Psycho Spiny sounds like a reference to the green Spiny Eggs from SMB3 that rolled around at the speed of sound, following their rainbow.
24:55 Trust no one, not even yourselves
This is a more anticipated remake than FF7R! I watched the original tens of times and I still don’t know why
Dark Back Cursya is a scarier unused enemy than invisible ReDeads in Ocarina of Time.
I really appreciate you going out of your way to include some tattle text and making the video more entertaining
Y’know what I like,
That people still post about this game
This was my favourite childhood game
What a cute way of showcasing this info!! Thanks a bunch for this. :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Huh, I didn't know, that Boos could be seen by going to 3D. I guess that explains their surprise attack.
You know, I have the weirdest feeling the Underchomp might've been planned to use their attacks outside of battle, via projectile like the Piranha Plants and Magikoopas do (Yellow) and flames like Bowser (Red and Blue).
Paper Mario was one of my favorite games growing up so naturally I came across the original one day. It’s so nostalgic to see it remade, definitely watching the whole way through and subscribing
24:55
Oh, so you've created a singularity, interesting
>Gap of Crag scenery
>Bogging to Merlee's music
i just realized shes called tippi because she gives you tips what the fuck
I inferred this before even playing the game, just from reading the manual and seeing her name.
The fact you modded in your intro is amazing
23:42 ah yes the most classic super paper Mario enemy *M A R I O H I M S E L F*
Info brought to you by: Tipster.
Shy guy: HP 3 ATK 2 A very shy guy. It wears a mask to hide embarrassment. . .from what though?
Spear guy: These Shy Guys are just guys who didn’t get the message Halloween was over. Jumping on them does some damage, so try using Boomer, Carry, Barry, or Cudge.
Fly Guy: HP 3 ATK 2 These guys are just Shy Guys who were too stubborn to walk on the ground. Watch out for that powerful spinning blade.
Stilt Guy: HP 3 ATK 2 A guy who pretty much lives for the circus. Sadly, he was rejected for lack of actual tricks.
Giant Golden Bullet Bill Launcher: HP 100 Always overkill. Fortunately, the Banzai Bills they shoot are killed in 1 hit.
Giant Golden Bullet Bill: HP 1 ATK 10 Literal “Cannon Fodder” for the Giant Golden Bullet Bill Launcher. Nothing else to really say, except that they’re giant. . .and golden.
Giga Muth: HP INF ATK 10 Looks like someone is wearing their invincible sweater today. You can’t hurt these beasts. However, it makes them look ridiculous, so I guess it evens out.
Shady Koopa: HP 5 ATK 3 This guy lives for the dark, lives IN the dark, and loves all things dark. As soon as this guy sees you, he attacks with a shell toss. Opposed to what you’d think with those shades on, he has perfect eyesight. He can see you even when you’re using Slim.
Dark Back Cursia: HP 3 ATK ? ? ? These things are pure evil.
Taking a break, gonna edit this later.
Later enough.
Dark Atomic Boo: HP 20 ATK 20 This purple poltergeist is a stronger variant of the normal Atomic Boo. Same way to defeat it.
Here’s when I start making up things.
Dark Nimbi: HP 5 ATK 3 This dark blue Nimbi is under the control of Count Bleck. They serve under the Skeletroopers.
Bonechill X: A purple-pink version of Bonechill. He has the same attacks, movements, and mindset of Bonechill, just a stronger clone made to protect the Overthere. He was corrupted by the Skeletroopers to attack.
Moneybag: A walking moneybag. HP 1 SPEED 10 It’s fast, but weak. It can’t hurt you, only can run away. It gives 100 coins when defeated.
Fan Fan: HP 15 ATK 0 Along with Monybag, this can’t hurt you. Only blow you away. It loves to stand near ledges and blow unsuspecting passerby off.
Vac Vac: HP 15 ATK 0 Yes, you guessed it. This one pulls you in. If you actually make contact, though, it just bounces you a short distance because of it’s magic barrier. If you want to hurt it, try using Cudge or Boomer.
All for now. I’ll probably return later.
7:36 My guess is that this thing wouldve appeared in a escape sequence judging by its size.
You don’t just get the gold bars the gold bars gets you
13:00 Maybe it was supposed to be an enemy in the pit of 100 trials?
24:57 *T H E M A I R O V O R T E X*
Imagine if someone made a SPM mod that includes some of the unused enemies
Honestly, since there's already a hard mode for Paper Mario 64, and Paper Mario TTYD Hero Mode is currently in development, I want there to be a Super Paper Mario Hero Mode, it would probably add back all of the functional cut enemies (I think one thing they could do is make all Cursyas move noticably faster, because part of the reason they're really not much of a threat is because they're so slow, also they'd put some Dark Back Cursyas in the Flopside pit, one on EVERY FLOOR (I've seen TTYD Hero Mode, the Super Paper Mario Hero Mode has to be equally unfair))
24:56 Yes.
What-hey that’s me.
I am back, to say that why did you?
Enemies: "Mario, what's that?"
Mario: "The Hammer of-a Discipline. DO YOU LIVE IN A CAVE-A!?"
_Gets hit for an insanely high amount of damage_
14:05 my guess is that a dev thought that this item was a collectable and tried to program it in but accidentally made it an enemy causing it to crash the game and the other devs thought it was really funny
i like how it was written in character like tippi was saying it haha
19:53 Alright, who the 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 decided this was a good idea?!
This was so fun to watch, getting to see all these crazy enemies that weren't used and even the less interesting ones got very fun tattle text to read. It's a lot of fun!~
Dark Back Cursyas huh? I can just see the Super Paper Mario Kaizo Hack already.
3:11
Shady Koopa dosnt seem to be hurt.
Mario: 33423360 damage
I like how the last one left you speechless, no metadata info, just grunts and then a crash
Oh my god...
H-How did you make that custom level!?
I-It's beautiful!
I think it's a debug level hidden in the actual game files.
Just a texture hack for one of the existing levels
You’re being too extra
@@SonicLoverDS ...maybe this is a case for not using custom things in videos like this, even though it adds so much charm. But clearly some people can't process that, even though you'd think it'd be obvious that he would say so if the environment was actually part of the legit unused stuff.
The fact that you took the time to make your own tattle text to explain things is so cool!
I remember playing this as a 5 year old and when Mimi appeared I had nightmares for 3 weeks
This was the best way to provide comentary & very creative
I like how stilt guys “moon walk”
did you try to jump on the big golden bill blaster as bowser? You usually need to use him in the normal game to hurt bill blasters.
It's just invincible.
@Nathan Scott 3-1
@@Skawo Even with Boomer ?
@@Skawo How many score points does it give if it is modded to be attackable?
@@waluigiwah5724 I've no idea, unfortunately, nor do I know how to make such a modification.
As soon as I saw this, I clicked it! I only wish I'd been notified sooner!
If hacks of this were ever made, maybe the Shady Paratroopa could be interesting as an enemy that flies over big gaps, since it won't fall if jumped on?
But yeah, pretty interesting showcase! Maybe the gold bars were meant to be some sort of item trap enemy?
As much as I like the unused content, the thing I liked the most was Tiptron's snarky comments whenever a duplicate of an enemy was on screen, that was a nice touch.
One can only imagine what the rapidly spinning quadruple player was for...
Wasn't there also an unused black kamikaze goomba that would actively pursue Mario and explode and damage Mario upon stomping on it?
Ok I don't know if anyone's said this yet but I believe that the triple gold bar enemy is supposed to be an anchor point for bowser...
Basically, in 7-2 once the D-men let you in the room where you fight bowser again, you can flip to 3-D as mario and see bowser walking back and forth. Using tippi on him before the fight triggers actually gives the same "........" dialouge as well!
That's my take, anyways
I'm dubbing the "enemy" at the end "Spinning Johnny"
Wow, I remember watching the original years ago, I'm so glad it's been remade
I love the dialogue!
I think my favorite is the single-minded, animationless homing-torpedo murder Spiny. NYOOOOOOOOOM
Fucking nyoooom
I love to see people still play this wonderful game
Haha, I watched your video that was with TTYD, tbh, I think that's probably better, just because TTYD is the beloved game (tied with the og) and has the goombella gal saying it all, but also excited to watch this after I press the "Comment" and "F" on the keyboard for fullscreen. J.K. this is actually better since the enemies actually have code and attacks associated with 'em
Flat twist: Skawo is actually speaking through a microphone that's inside of tiptron
"Who the heck makes cannons out of gold?"
Me a man of culture: "The Toppat Clan?"
Damn, didn't know Tiptron could make RUclips videos too lol
20:35 I cant argue with that
I love how the magikoopas play quidditch
By the looks of the Spiny thing, it might've had a slide function, like those wierd-looking koopas from Mario World
Wow the text predicted Color Splash and Sticker Star, and it's extremely self aware, kind of like it was added in... nah, that wouldn't happen!
The Grayscale Chomps are supposed to be the Castle Bleck version of the Underchomps.
Person: Makes Dark Back Cursya
Satan: WOAH, CALM DOWN 😰😱😱😱
R.I.P the Dark Atomic Boo 😢
Wow, this video is just... fantastic
That final thing actually made me laugh pretty hard. Especially when the game crashed right after.
it may seem a strange choice, but i actually wonder if the giant gold blaster and bills could have been intended for the overthere
they seem like such a bizarre obstacle that would lend itself to being tackled with luigi's super jump, and i feel like a wacky mario version of heaven with a lot of platforming and open space is about as fitting a place as you could get for a giant gold cannon firing golden bullet bills
you don't have luigi for long and the bombshell bills and blasters did appear in the final dungeons of 64 and ttyd, so castle bleck could would both fit that pattern and be one of a few areas where luigi is required, but it feels like the sort of hazard that would be 'at-home' in a giant heavenly sky area
who knows though, i don't know how far ahead they planned when luigi would be available... perhaps you'd use peach's parasol to glide and use the bills to get across a large gap. maybe they were for the top of the dotwood tree instead of the red wind? i just feel like it could've made sense in chapter 7-3 or -4's setting
(4:15) Did you forget how to spell "renaissance" while doing the actual hacking, or...?
Typos happen
Ngl, I love the custom level this takes place in.
That's actually just mostly 5-2.
It’s a Goomba the lowest of the low
Quick question, would it be possible to make the Golden Bombshell Bill Blaster and the duplicated Underchomps, non invincible? What would happen?
I love how you ended most of the sentences with “…”, just like the actual text
23:53 Maybe this unused Mario enemy is related to Shadoo, the final boss of the Flopside Pit Of The 100 Trials?
