    You amaze me at everything u do. U remind me of my grandma and momma making things like that. And that is a compliment. My grandma lived to be 105 . She lived in 3 centuries. Born in 1895, lived all 1900s and died in2000. My momma is 83 now and still going strong. She can sew anything. She use to make our school clothes. I love watching your tutorials. I’m learning about essential oils. I have 2 diffusers now. Got one for Christmas. I really want to learn about the oils. So interesting and I need them. Thank you for ur videos. I watch and rewatch them.!

    Oh my goodness...it took me a second to realize you had a baby in there and not just one super large boob. lol That wrap seems to work really well! I tried the Moby with my last two babies and they wouldn't have it. I think if I had been able to wrap them the way you have your baby, they would have taken to it. So, I was always stuck sitting around with a baby hanging off my boob till daddy got home. ;)
    Love your videos!! We bought a "farm house" on 5 acres, and I'm trying to make my home look like yours. So far...it's not working, much like the Moby wrap. ha! I think I have too many different styles going on (steam punk, rustic, cottage, shabby...I just love too many styles, I suppose. lol). Can't wait to learn from your videos how to do it right! Thank you!!

      Hey maybe an eclectic farmhouse! That could be super cool! Also, thats funny about the baby. I wonder if more people that too! 😂

    • @charlotteprescott-ruland9121
      @charlotteprescott-ruland9121 7 лет назад

      Awesome! I will definitely start calling my "motif" the "eclectic farmhouse!!" lol I'm a mess and driving my poor hubby nuts. I purchased six woven banana leaf chairs that I just had to have. Now that I'm done with the build and stain finish of my farm table we built, I wanted to lighten up the chairs. I started to paint them, which made my hubby grimace super hard...haha...then decided I really liked using the painter's canvas and would just make slip covers with that. Of course I can never keep things simple, so I decided to use piping and buttons on the back of the covers. It took me hours to make just one half of one...and it's not perfect'ish, so I'm doing it over. That's how I found your videos ;)
      And yes, I'm certain I can't be the only one who thought you had one super large boob...at least I hope not. lol

      I noticed the store bought inserts usually dont fit into the corners of my pillows all that great. After first time restuffing a pillow and it was done. I thought i should have put stuffing in corners then put insert. 🤔

  • @melissabyrd1310

    Props for all your great ideas and having patience to do this. I just restuffed my couch pillows, the material is a tapestry native American style. No zipper on them. I popped the stitches on the one side. They were just stuffed with no liner. I threw all that away and by hand washed the covers and let air dry., had to do a little repair on the covers. I used inserts I will never use again, they seem like paper material, my finger went right threw one of them, had to stitch it up and also add more stuffing in one because it was flatter then the other one. This was the first time restuffing a pillow. Things I learned. Use a cotton liner or just put the stuffing in the pillow. Store bought liners may not fit exactly in the corners of your pillow cover. If I did this again i would put stuffing in the corners before putting the insert. Over all my pillows look way better and they're clean. Pillows corners aren't floppy, but could be beter. I dont have patience to make my own inserts. LOL

    So funny that I chose this video. I already know how to do this but needed to check on how to measure for a good fit. Then I saw that you used the "snow" I was in JoAnn fabrics about a week ago and the big bag was on clearance. Of course I didn't buy it thinking it was different...lol.. Now I know. For some reason I thought it was the blanket type. But, it was the exact bag that you show here.

    Thank you so much for sharing your drop cloth ideas. I'd love to make a baby blanket with drop cloth. But on my second though, is bleach safe for the babies? what is your thought?
    I also can't wait for your muslin(or double gauze) blanket tutorial. What is the measurement on the blanket?
    I love watching your videos. I learned so much from you!!! so thank you:)

    • @FarmhouseonBoone
      @FarmhouseonBoone  7 лет назад

      Hey Bianca! I have thought and thought about making a drop cloth blanket and just decided it would probably be a little too thick. Also, I think the bleach probably wouldn't be good for a baby blanket. I have the muslin fabric upstairs ready to do the tutorial and still haven't gotten to it. Hopefully soon! The finished dimensions of the muslin swaddle blankets I have made are 41" by 46".

      Sollybaby.com Solly wrap. I haven't taught my daughters to sew the "right" way yet, but they use the machine all the time and make little things for their dolls and room, like little dresses and tote bags. I want to actually teach them how to make clothes for themselves soon.

    • @FarmhouseonBoone

      I think possibly some sergers sew a seam, as well as finishing the edges, but I have never had one that does. So, it is still necessary to sew a seam with mine. :)
