- We have fond memories of a lot of GameCube games, but these stick out as the definite weirdest. For this list, we’ll be looking at the oddest, wackiest releases on the Nintendo GameCube. Note that we prioritized console exclusives and didn’t include any Japan-only releases. Our list includes “Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest” (2002), “Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg” (2003), “Darkened Skye” (2002), “Amazing Island” (2004), and more! The GameCube is such an underrated gem of a system and honestly could be Nintendo's best console as far as unique experiences are concerned. I'm so thankful I kept almost all of my GameCube games growing up seeing how Nintendo refuses to port or revive any of these franchises, such as "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem" which still remains my favorite game of all time.
I feel the same, its sad how bout g is the list of games that Nintendo could revive but chose not to, and also refuses to give access or care. And i really don't get what's the philosophy behind it.
@@Rockmanbalboa Nintendo won't revive these franchises or spend money remastering older games that have a niche audience. They would rather release 2 Fire Emblem games every year and make bank with them since they are basically printing money with those kinds of games
GameCube isn't underrated at all. Fact is, barely anyone outside of Japan cared about the GameCube as it had a much more child-friendly image. It was a powerful console but lacked most third party support. It is Nintendo's last console that went head to head with other consoles in the power department. So No, the GameCube isn't and wasn't underrated. It was underappreciated in an era where Mature games were number one.

Because whether or not it's your favourite game of all time doesn't matter to Nintendo at all. They're running a business, so what matters is the number of potential customers, and since Eternal Darkness didn't even sell well back then despite universal critical acclaim and absolutely nothing has happened with the IP in the twenty years since then, that number is probably pretty small.
I played Odama and Billy Hatcher growing up! The GameCube is my favorite system due to the amount of cult classics on the system along with Nintendo’s first party games. Up there along with Dreamcast
I've been waiting to see any online coverage on Gotcha Force for years. Most underrated game on gamecube imo
Chibi Robo is a hidden gem. I lost my original copy and want to replay it so bad, but it’s insanely expensive.
Emulation bro. All you need is a powerful smartphone or PC and the program dolphin, and isos of course lol

one of the best gaming experiences was getting the GameCube for Christmas, it came metroid prime and ssx tricky ( I think dont remember which snowboard game.) but me and my brother played 2 player snowboarding for hours then when we popped in metroid it just blew our minds exploring all the levels and rolling around secret feeling tunnels.
Edit after I put this up i remembered me and my cousin making our chows in sonic adventure then being able to pit them against each other in all the mini games. even animal crossing just so many great memories on the console

The Nintendo GameCube has the Super Awesome Games from my Childhood Years. Luckily for me, this NEVER gotten any of these Ridiculous Weirdest games.
Chibi-Robo and Geist are still 2 of my absolute favorite games on Gamecube ( and Chibi-Robo is in my top 5 favorite games of all time period )....I wish both, as well as Eternal Darkness & Custom Robo: Battle Revolution, would get remastered ports on Switch
also, Odama's ending credits theme is weird but so weirdly awesome
If Chibi Robo was updated for the Switch, it would be a day one buy for me.

I had the GC and I can't recall anyone of these games I was a certain demographic back then definitely more diverse in gaming now more then ever at 41 years old... Fantastic upload 👍

Nope. I wrote this around late August. But because we have a team of writers, as opposed to one person, and because some topics are less time-sensitive than others, some projects can take a little time before they go up.
Geist had a pretty fun multiplayer

Have a complete Pal GameCube collction. Were three in the list I don't know, but absolutely loved Chibi Robo
all this games are nostalgic for me, not because i play them but because almost everyone of these games i knew about them thanks to magazines, so remind me the good old times when i bought magazines to know about games, beore the internet, so my only references of these games were photos, actually this is the first time i see videos of the gameplay of geist or odama for example
FINALLY gotcha force recognition! one of the best games on the gamecube hands down.

Compared to the weird nonsense that comes out these days, Geist is quite a normal game.

it was this one gamecube rpg game.... this girl would summon monsters from cards. it wasnt yugioh.... i forget the name of it, but it was a fire game.

I still have all these games. Darkened Skye is God awful and one of the absolute worst video games ever made. Cubivore is blocky and ugly but it's super fun. Geist was an interesting game....and the rest were OK.
6:35 used to play this and was good. Never beat because so odd did not know what to do. Buy ya oddest game ever should been on top, 😂. Another good one be all sonic ones. Some reason sonic game use was to creepy. Like lot got humans which Mario been in that soon. Kids games should have nothing do with humans. On the case kids and teen show, hint early mlp film. But teens games ok but wonder why they never do it?

Wait, why would you exclude Japan-only games from a list of weird games?! That's like having a list on games with ridiculously long cutscenes and excluding anything by Hideo Kojima 😂
It's so people would have had a chance to play some of these games. If they did just a few weird games from Japan that no one has played, a lot of people wouldn't care about the list.
