I’ve snagged 2 Singapore business class on the world’s longest flight for next March! and I’ve got four premium economy round-trip flights from Paris for next June/July! huge, thank you to all of you for the tips and tricks!
Same with Mitch, I have the Flying Blue card! Way over 5/24! Thanks Miguel for the seats.aero tutorial. That Emirates F class flight was the day my reluctant P2 bought in to the game, so she’s all on board since.
I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and have enjoyed it ever since. This is, hands down, the most engaging, fun and informative channel I have discovered on traveling with points and miles. I love the “whining”. It shows individual personalities in a way that you don’t usually see and makes the experience more personal which can be hard to do when you’re just watching someone on a screen. My family and I take RV trips several times a year and I discovered it was easy to meet the minimum spend on our new card on our recent trip from AZ to Banff National Park in Canada. While we have yet to travel on points, it is coming with our first to Jordan Nov/Dec 2025. 80K in economy on AA (yikes)
Wow your trip to Jordan sounds amazing! What a great trip to look forward to. We're glad you found us and thank you for putting up with our whining. Let us know if you found any great hotels on points for your trip.
I snagged 3 seats in SQ J, EWR-SIN-HYD through AC for this Dec (w/ a stopover for 5 days in SIN)! SQ used to release 4+ seats in J on the world's longest flight consistently at schedule open (through AC!), but I'm not sure if those days are still around.
Great snag! That stopover is a bonus! There's no predicting what award availability will be like and the landscape changes all the time. This is why we earn and burn!
Initially I thought I wouldn’t like 3 seats together in biz class and may as well go economy like Nicole said. BUT we tried it on Turkish Airlines to Kenya and surprisingly liked it more than we thought 😂 After being separated so far away on usual biz seats, it was nice to actually be able to take turns more fairly to help our daughter who was sitting in the middle. Maybe because our daughter is still on the younger side. She’s happier when she’s closer to us than when she’s in her own big area. 😅
It is so true! Seats that are closer together are better suited for families with little ones. We hope the Monkey Family had a fantastic time together in Kenya!
So glad I found you guys because your content and quality are top notch! For us rookies, would you explain the difference between saver and advantage awards? Also, I can’t believe the lounge lizards haven’t done an episode on the best/favorite lounges. Maybe that’s coming in a future episode? 😉 This rookie would also love to see a feature that’s all about Hyatt. I look forward to your videos every Friday!
Hi! Are you subscribed to our newsletter? In this morning's newsletter, we teased next week's episode. You might be interested in it. 😉 Saver awards are the lowest award prices. An advantage award on Singapore Airlines will be higher priced but will allow adding a stopover on a one way award.
Love your show ! AA is rough to say the least. I travel every year sometimes 2x/yr SFO-MDE I always book Copa Air never had any issues. This year they had a great priced fare on AA but traveling through MIA we got delayed 2 days bc of mechanical issues and weather. They were not very nice when it came to setting us up with another flight to get home we almost had to split up our family with 2 going MIA-SFO and 2 making another stop in JFK. I will avoid AA at all costs
We are so sorry to hear about the experience you had with AA. Splitting up the family is a terrible option. Companies need to learn it takes one bad experience to lose a customer and they should do better. Since a mechanical issue was involved, did you by chance ask AA for compensation afterwards? Or submit a DOT complaint?
I really like how each of you go in depth on one airline program like that and please do more videos on family travel. Mitch said that he likes to book all tickets on one itinerary. I saw 5 seats on Sin site but advantage awards at 129k & 144k instead of standard awards 87k. Do you ever find 4-5 standard awards on Sin site or mostly advantage once we pass the 1-2 seats? Is 129-144k worth it?
Thanks for the super informative video. I am nervous about booking with partners. We don’t travel very often and I wouldn’t know what to do if our trip got cancelled. Looking forward to flying KLM business class, AF business class has mixed reviews.
Thank you for watching! You can set your seats.aero alerts now for winter 2025. Use ANZ to cover Australia and New Zealand airports. In December of this year, start looking on United (for ANA), Qantas, and AA (for JAL) to see if the calendar is open and what availability might look like. Award availability from the US to that region is difficult during our winter season. Hopefully you’ll have better availability since you are departing from Japan!
Great video for family travel! However, most of us are not as flexible with dates. I have not found 50k with AF. Also no luck finding business class flights from India to NY in February. Any tips finding great deals for exact dates?
Nicole and Serena have to travel around the school calendar so we are not flexible either but we make it happen. Seats.aero alerts will be your friend. See our seats.aero playlist for a tutorial on setting up alerts.
I have been trying to deal with Eva air’s website for my first business class redemption to Thailand. Their requirements for adding new members is brutal.

How awesome!
Congratulations on your bookings! You will have an amazing time. It's nice to have great things to look forward to. ✈️

5/24 is overrated! Flying in First Class is the BEST way to get a P2 onboard with this wonderful hobby. Well done, Gene!
This is by more the most legit breakdown for family per program. 🎉
🎉 Thank you for watching! We are too legit to quit! 🥳
superb info thanks so much
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching!
Hi, i enjoyed so much your program and helped me to find 3 business seats Etihad from Auh to Tokyo last summer. Thank you again!! ❤
Great find! That must have been a fun flight!

It's possible to find all standard awards if you're very far in advance. To make the advantage award worth it, try adding a stopover.

I managed to snatch business awards to SIN for my family of 5. We're so excited!
Thanks for the super informative video. I am nervous about booking with partners. We don’t travel very often and I wouldn’t know what to do if our trip got cancelled. Looking forward to flying KLM business class, AF business class has mixed reviews.
Best to start with what you’re comfortable with and work your way up. Good thing is the best way to book KLM Business is directly with them!
Awesome show. Trying to snag myself (3-4) business class tickets from Japan to Australia/New Zealand for Dec 2025. Any suggestions or tips?

@@LetsGetToThePoints Thank you so very much. I will do that.
What tool did you use to find 108,000 business roundtrip Emirates?
You can find it on Emirates' website when searching for award tickets. Choose round trip and flexible dates.
4am it is!!! still watching!!! 😂😂😂
Thank you for being a loyal viewer! We appreciate you! 🥰
How long before do the flying blue flights should i be looking for a family of 4?
The 50k award drops will be random. Start looking a year in advance. Set seats.aero alerts and use the Air France calendar feature.
Is there anyway to avoid the 70 euro cancellation/change fee on flying blue award besides having flying blue Platinum status?
Unfortunately, not that we know of! 70 EUR isn't bad but multiplied for a family, it can add up!
Great video for family travel! However, most of us are not as flexible with dates. I have not found 50k with AF. Also no luck finding business class flights from India to NY in February. Any tips finding great deals for exact dates?

They don’t make it easy. If you are traveling with adults, better to book from each individual account.
FIRST!!!!
YES!!!🥳
