This channel is so smooth and polished with top notch production quality. That on top of fun interaction and great content. Please keep up the great work!
Incredible Episode! Thank you for explaining the differences between Amex charge cards versus credit cards - truly helpful for the community. My keeper cards: Blue Business Plus (no fee, 2x + ability to preserve Membership Rewards), one Chase premium card (either CSP, CSR or Ink Preferred) for the ability to transfer to partners, specifically Hyatt, Hilton Aspire, Freedom (5x rotating categories), Ink Cash (5x office supply stores) and Cap One VX (currently an AU). I also applied for the Lowes card and just canceled since I plan to apply for the Brilliant card (my 5th slot). Lastly, cash-back cards are quite essential in my strategy - I used my rewards to pay for expensive bucket list experiences such as African safaris and the cruise to Antarctica...so I looking forward to that episode :)
Thank you for sharing your keeper cards. That is a phenomenal list! We're looking forward to seeing what you will use your Marriott points for when you get your Brilliant card! Cash back cards are very important for helping to offset the cost of trips like your safari and cruise! What incredible experiences! We are so thankful for this hobby. 🥳
I love the chemistry the four of you have. I have learning so much from your videos.. albeit very slowly learning haha. I currently only have one cash back card the Citi Costco card but I am interested in this cash back cards linked to travel cards. I just applied and got the chase freedom unlimited to pair with my CSP.
Great video. I have most of your keeper cards, and that’s why my annual fees are too high. The last card I really want is the Hilton Aspire, but I am in pop-up jail now. Gardening is no fun. 😢
Thank you for watching! Gardening is no fun at all! Hopefully you can get the Aspire card soon. Note pop up results will vary depending on the links you use to apply. We’ve seen pop ups via referral and then no pop ups via public links.
USBAR 1.5CPP on points doesn’t need to be through their portal, paying domestic travel directly would work too! Perfect for award fees/car rental/ride share/entry fee etc and no need to deal with the hassle when flights go south as you booked direct! Better than 35% AMEX rebate or 1.5 CPP sapphire reserved in my opinion… 😊
It is a great deal and fantastic point about booking direct and not having the third party hassle! Do you think you can earn US Bank points as fast as you can earn Amex points? Please let us know if you value them more than the other bank points. We would love to know!
@@LetsGetToThePoints we only open keeper cards and the MR earning cards except BBP are difficult to justify. in that sense, USBAR points are easier to accumulate than AMEX due to acceptance of visa and mobile wallet …
@LetsGetToThePoints USBAR is warehouse club shopping card. If you do in-person MS then it isn't too difficult to earn more. Also, the priority pass works at restaurants.
Hi! Chase has become tougher nowadays than in the past. For example, the days of getting multiple Ink cards might be dwindling. We’ll have to see how it plays out.
Always enjoy hearing your thoughts. I was about to say, no mention of Hyatt card as keeper card until the end when Miguel mentioned it. Definitely worth a keeper to me as the automatic 5 nights help with the 60 nights globalist status. I also plan to keep other hotel cards that comes with the certificate. Have the ihg biz, Marriott boundless chase, Marriott biz Amex. They have been great for those quick 1 night transfer / transit. I was able to book recently the Crowne plaza right inside the Singapore airport with ihg free night. Very useful. But also understand it’s a pain to keep track and use up those certs before expiration. 😅
We could not forget about all those great hotel keeper cards! Definitely a pain to keep track of but great for those who are organized. Glad to hear the Crowne Plaza at SIN worked out. These certs are great for those instances! We hope little Monkey enjoyed all the fun things at the airport!
5 Amex Slot: Hilton Aspire - keeper card Hilton Surpass - keeper card for 15k FNC Hilton Honors - waiting for upgrade offer as Mitch mentioned Amex Blue Cash - oldest card, can't close Amex Optima - 2nd old card Had to close BBP and Hilton Business card to the the Surpass and regular Hilton Honors card with the FNC offer 👎🏼 on the cash back episode poll. All gas, no brakes on points and miles cards! My keeper cards: Hilton Aspire and my new Surpass card, Amex Personal Gold card, and prev the Bilt card, but not anymore after their recent changes. I'm with Nicole with lounge access, so I do have CSR and an AU for the C1 Venture X.
Wow, Gene! The Amex Optima. We have not heard about that card in a while! We love seeing your list and it’s too bad about Bilt. We were really hoping they could have done better. The Amex 5 is so limiting…thank goodness for 2+ player mode! 🥳
Just found your channel and have started listening on my walks. Have a question and comments. I have the Amex Platinum that I get without a fee because of my brokerage account. I had a personal Platinum card and when I got the new one through my brokerage account I got the signup bonus, which surprised me. Given that I have the Platinum card what would you recommend as a second and or third card. Also it is not fair to compare Hyatt requirements to Hilton unless you divide the Hilton in half because you get a 2 Hilton points for each Amex point. Thanks, enjoy your podcast.
@@LetsGetToThePoints 2 debit cards and a no fee amex Hilton card that I do not use. We stay at hiltons and have Hilton points but with the platinum card to pay.
If you primarily stay at Hiltons, those cards just had elevated offers. Not as good as in July but still higher than the normal offers. Otherwise, consider the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the Capital One Venture X for great travel rewards cards. Links are on our website. Let us know if you have other questions.
Would love to see the cash back episode and ideas on how to use it for travel. For instance, I have a family of 5 so I use the Amazon Card 5% back to buy Airbnb gift cards. Also heard of using the US Altitude Reserve for car rentals. What other options like that might exist?
We need a cash back episode and you need to put the saver one on it. If y'all love the venture act you know the saver one is the one that makes all the points for the venture X.
We love the Capital One Savor One card for its great category multipliers and it’s even better paired with the venture X! They discontinued the regular Savor card recently and we’ll have to see if they launch something else even better.
Would love to see a bonus episode (or full episode) on AA. Please share any travel hacks for getting AA status, racking up points, and travel reward sweet spots for booking business class flights with AA miles. Thanks for sharing your expertise with the community!
My keeper cards Hilton Aspire (X2) Amex Gold Chase Sapphire Reserve Citi Strata Premier Nicole riding that Hilton train. You love to see it. Keep it up team. Another great one. Lastly, flying ANA economy from Hawaii and the flight is uncomfortably warm. I stated before that ANA has “warm” flights when traveling economy and for the most part it’s true.
Great list of keeper cards, Carlos! We've experienced the same with warm flights on Japan Airlines as well. We might need to start packing a personal fan! As soon as Nicole steps foot on Conrad Maldives, she will be Hilton for LIFE! Haha! Safe travels to you and thank you for bringing us along with you on your flights.
That Wyndham Business Earner isn't bad, I just used up 135k since you get 10% off of points and spent 5 days at an adult all inclusive in Mexico. If you're gassing for 8x per $1, it was about 14-15% back per dollar spent on gas. It was a pretty good redemption. Also, the Caesars match is good, since you get a $100 celebration dinner each year, no resort fees, free parking, and you can go to Atlantis for 3/4 nights/year.
Great redemption to use your Wyndham points for an all inclusive in Mexico! What a deal, especially with the 10% off! Nicely done. What's your favorite place to use your $100 celebration dinner? Is the Bacchanal Buffet still a high value option?
Live at a United Hub, have a United Business. Im able to trigger the $100 statement credit and have it paired to the no AF Gateway for the United Business annual 5k miles pairing anniversary bonus. Before other flight Bennifts im positive value. I coudnt see myself giving these up.
