Going to Thailand in December. Do you have any recommendations on where to stay in Phuket? I have many Amex pts.(1.6million) and Cap. one (800k) and some Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG points but don't mind paying cash either. Just want a nice place/experience. Phuket 12/14 to 12/18 (4 nts.). Thanks.
Looks like there are some great suggestions below! Back when I went to Thailand, it was before I was into points and miles, so we just did paid hotel stays since hotels were so affordable.
Do you have any recommendations on which airline to look for to fly business roundtrip from Atlanta to Bangkok? I have almost 500k chase points and have very specific dates (March 22nd-April 1st)
You might need to do some positioning flights to JFK/ EWR or TX to find the best deals for that route. Here's the link to a free form where you can request tutorials for specific routes: go.geobreezetravel.com/ast-form
The last time I flew ANA was i 2019, JFK to BKK. I'm not sure if its still possible, but I booked using Virgin Atlantic. 120k RT in F. I also have done a direct booking 100k RT in J on the same route. Recently did it on Singapore in J using Amex points and it was double the cost of ANA, however the ease of booking was really nice. The hard product on this route, I wasn't a fan of. The space for your legs is really tiny. But this is going to change soon. I've been in the points game a long time now. For those of us that have been around, we all know the best way used to be KE by transferring thru Chase. Pretty much unlimited availability anytime you want at really low rates, 80k in F or 65k in J one way. Still sad that that's gone. I'll try EVA next.
it's still possible (slightly more points now, but still a great deal). It's just that award availability is super sparse, especially in F. For ANA, most of the award space we find these days goes in and out of MEX.
lots of similar strategies for traveling to the Philippines, yes. You can also request personalized award search tutorials here: go.geobreezetravel.com/ast-form
Doing your marketing pitch is always cool, but I’m noticing that it do it in my opinion a bit too often for too long. This comment is to be constructive and not negative. Just something to reflect on 🙏🏾

Is Cathay Pacific a part of an alliance?
Yes, it is part of the OneWorld alliance (with AA, BA, Qatar, and a few others)

You can redeem IHG points at Six Senses Yao Noi or Hilton points at Keemala, not sure if dates are avaliable but it's worth a check
@@conanlau4091 do you recommend Keemala?
Amazing hotels and resorts in Thailand at a very low cost. I think it better to ditch the chain hotels and book a local hotel/resort with cash.
@@Hiro_Ieyasu Exactly.
