    The video was good. Only thing would be a better explanation of what was done. The only thing I understood is when the lady said, " te ayudo?"

      My Home Depot said the company they recommend wants $1200 just to install door plus a lead charge if home built before a certian date

      Is that price just for labor?

    • @ffangoria
      @ffangoria 2 года назад

      @@Catholic1391 Yes just labor. I want to do it myself but I have some rot in the floor and I don't want to not be able to fix it in a weekend. The door I have now didn't get flashed properly or at all and is exposed to the weather, no overhang

    Suggestion needed: What if original door length is 94; and new door has a length of 96.
    How would you make opening an inch larger on both sides ?

    How was the actual sliding glass installed so easily into the frame? It seems it would fall out because it is so easily installed. How does the sliding glass stay inside the frame?

    Not a good idea to use mesh tape over such a long distance as there's a greater chance of cracking

    😂 cutting the tape with the knife ...wow what a trick!!

    No caulking and no flashing. Hello leaking door!

      It's installed under a patio cover so it's not critical. However, water will migrate through if he gets carried away with washing off the exterior walls or patio floor. Caulk does have a secondary function and that is that it functions as an air barrier. I would have added caulk and adhesive flashing, but for a guy that doesn't do it for a living he did a pretty good job. I also appreciate that he's humble in his responses to criticism.

      As for me, I'm glad he wasn't flashing.
