You always make my lunch hour interesting. I love watching you play. Not to sound clichéd, but its inspirational and informative.

I suspect things will become clearer in a month or two when your grapes come in. I don't do a whole lot of vineyard work, kinda hate it myself, and have only ran vineyards with Precision Farming once. I do remember having trouble creating fields, painting textures, the grapes didn't even register at first...A lot of weird things happened and I am sure I compounded the problems and made things increasingly worse. Eventually though everything caught up and sorted itself out. My suggestion is just leave it be and see what happens. I think when the grapes show leaves you will get the mulch and fertilizer notifications.

In my testing I found that grapes do not use the automatic nitrogen application feature of Precision Farming. They need 2 separate applications during growth at least a month apart and you need to turn off Auto Application Rate for those applications.
If you place the grapes on meadow grass they absorb 1 application of nitrogen - likewise, if you place them on a crop (or planted grass) that has been fertilized with Precision Farming, they also absorb 1 application of nitrogen.
In your case, you will need to wait a month an apply the 2nd & final pass of nitrogen (Auto Application Rate off) as well as mulch. You should be quick on the trigger during fertilizing the grapes with Auto Application Rate turned off so that you don’t over fertilize the grass past the vines. You probably won’t be able to avoid over-fertilization of the grass adjacent to the grape rows but to be honest, I don’t know how much that will effect the yield or the Environmental Score of the grass field if any at all.

First video I have seen of yours. Nicely done. You may want to see if you have a tractor that will already fit between the grape vines. I have found that regular small tractors, depending on your spacing, will fit. And the equipment used on grapes also work on larger tractors.

After you lay down your grape / olive vines you have to plow between the vines so they can be recognized as a field. Once that is done then you can take the soil samples and apply the same as you care for all other fields that you own.

I enjoy doing the vine work grapes/olives but would just like to have a bit of AI when doing the fieldwork as I’m not good at stick to one job if it takes forever 😂

I guess we will see just how the grapes do in the next vid. Good luck I have not done much with grapes so if this works out maybe I will give them a try again. I did some when they first came to game and found they were not much fun and very expensive to farm so looking forward to see what happens with this vineyard.

I found a hay bale in that little stream/ditch/dip by the bridge next to field 17. No idea how many months/years it had been there, I generally favour the silage bale contracts, it must have made a daring escape while my back was turned, but I got to it eventually.

Best grape and olive production is the fruit greenhouse. You get circa 150,000 litres per month. Just need herbicide

I must have heard it subconsciously because at the end of the video, I thought to myself "wait... what did he say about Jawas?" You said it so non-chalantly that I had to re-watch the whole video to almost miss the comment a 2nd time.

Any second let's play coming. Vintage survival. Not about the money. Small farm/old equipment. Let's get excited to make £1000. Slowly expand. Maybe a series like that can run 2 episodes a week. Oh and realistic as possible. No productions. Not forestry. Just a small farm be it dairy or pigs just ticking over. An episode could just be doing first grass to hay and a chat. Episodes don't have to be super long. 30min and twice a week. Could this be an idea??
