I love this class! Deepika's voice is s very relaxing and the rhythm is perfect for beginers like me. I find it very valuable that it has no music. Thanks for sharing :)
Hello Ma'am I am Adyasha and my age is 17 yrs . I have been continuously doing your practice for about a year and guess what , my body structure has changed a lot . Initially I was having thin body with fats around arms and thighs ... Now my body looks entirely toned and I am weighing about 55 kgs. Thank you so much ... I will look forward for learning the practice from u in future .
You know dipika i started your yoga form 7year ego and i really really appreciate you ,i am very happy for your yoga OMG.🎉❤ Thank you so much 😊🙏 gratitude.
Absolutely, unless you start as a child, yoga will take weeks/months to get fully stretched out. Start with just a few times a week, and before you know it you are doing it every day!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! During lockdown self practice has been the hardiest, i miss my yoga studio. Doing this practice without feeling the urge to quit, I’m impressed with myself. Namaste 🙏🏻
The intro logo animation was enough to make me hit subscribe! Quality content was proven right there. AND I was not disappointed. One of the best Yoga Routines out there.
Deepika, I am very thankful for your video. I have been looking for Astanga Yoga series that works for me for quite some time. I followed your video for the first time today and I am in love with it. I hope to practice more often using your video. Thank you for putting efforts in uploading this and helping yoga community.
This gal looks like one of those badass kurd fighter women. Also, great pacing. It's always tough to find a Ashtanga series with just the right breath count. But Deepika does it.
Thank-you! I haven't practiced 1/2 primary for about 12 months and to my surprise I could almost keep up. Almost (: Going to practice with this/you a few times per week during these isolation months. Kundalini yogi who practices modified ashtanga xx
For someone who is just working on half primary perhaps bit too early for drop backs? You need such quad strength and spinal flexibility yet there is not one posture here other than upward dog that puts the spine in extension. I always prefer to do drop backs after I am half way through secondary series after working on quads (ustrasana and laghu vajarasana). It makes more sense to me to introduce dropbacks later in secondary. (looking back now based on my experience). Great practice and beautiful form.
I really really like your hair and your yoga tattoo and your blue yoga sports bra and your blue yoga tight pants, they look beautiful on you, and your yoga Indian song you were singing in the beginning and your Indian chanting in the end, it was beautiful deepika😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Surya Namaskar is the father of all yogic exercises. It includes every posture of yoga. Surya Namaskar is a complete set. 13 Pairs (1 pair includes both legs one by one) of Surya Namaskar daily boosts metabolism for 24 Hours. Surya Namaskar is the only exercise in world that boosts metabolism for 24 hours. Sun Salutation = Surya Namaskar.
It is the half of the full primary. Is this normal that you break down the primary series in half? Or does this only happen with the first serie? I am a beginner and I want to understand should I begin with a full primary serie or half?
It’s half primary series. If you are a beginner I recommend do only sun salutations and maybe standing seqence :) slowly slowly you can make the progress to sitting sequence :) but the best you can do is find a good teacher :)
@@TheWziuum Thank you darling for the information and advise. Could you still be so kind to anwser why this is half? Is there a reason they break it into two? You can do that with al the series?
You can practice ashtanga in two ways. This is led class, and you can do mysore style and it means you practice the sequence on your own and teacher will give you one pose after another when your body is ready for it. It is the best way to lewej ashtanga in the traditonal way. Led class is for students who know this asanas and it’s be considered as more advanced. This half series is more beginner friendly. When you practice more advanced series you do all primary and add poses from second series when you are ready for it. When you can do half second you practice only second, all second and third etc. :)
@@TheWziuum God bless you for the information and explanation. So from what I understand you advise me to start with Mysore, get familiar with the style and asanas and then when I am ready I can do the Astanga led primary classes? Namaste
I've been loving this excellent demo of half primary, but what's with the ads now?! Impossible to get in the zone and have a descent practice with the pop up ads :(
Spend a few dollars a month and get a RUclips subscription and you’ll never see an ad again. Be grateful as when i was younger NOTHING like this was FREE. We are blessed.
Absolutely beautiful to watch. Any advice on a good variation for the standing poses, if I can't really stretch my leg yet, at this point? Thank you. x
Hi, you can either still grab your big toes with your leg fold, focusing on good alignment and with time you will straighten your leg more and more. Or, what I like to do is also to use a strap! That way you can straighten your leg and keep a good upper body alignment as well! Hope it helps!
@@estertattoli9930 you need to activate mula and uddyana bandhas, with lower belly in but not contracting it. Not sure but this is how I do it. Hope it makes sense!
Not sure why you would put adds throughout a yoga instructional video. How is one supposed to follow along with adds everywhere. Put them in the beginning and end fine. But seriously throughtout the entire vidso thats ridiculous. One of my favorite half primary series videos
How can I work on my forward fold to get as deep as yours? I’ve been a practitioner for a couple of years and that’s one of the asanas that’s always been difficult 4 me❤️🙏🏼
0:58 Surya Namaskrara A
7:05 Surya Namaskara B
12:46 Standing Position
27:29 Seated Position
45:17 Closing Position
My favourite primary series youtube video!

We're so glad you enjoy the class! Deepika has a few other courses on Omstars.com, have you tried them? Dance of Prana is a favorite!
Wow that’s elegance in the finest form. Just awesome from start to finish.

Yes kino

Perfect class. As someone with a life long injury it also helps to know where you came from to where you are. Helps on those flatter days. 🙏❤️

Download it dude 😎
What's with all the ads all of the sudden? It wasn't like this when i started practicing with the video weeks ago!
What kind of exercise can we do to become more flexible before we attempt this?
