A fix i found is by plugging in the dongle into a powered usb hub and disabling usb selective suspending in windows powerplan, legit solved my issue with the headset not connecting

I am daily driving mine for a year now, besides breaking them a bit( some super glue fixed it) i had no issues with it other then when having both bluethooth and 2.4 connected i sometimes had to dissconet my bluetooth and reconnect the bluetooth to be able to switch back to 2.4. best 100€ spent ever. 8/10 would recommend

Friends, I think I've found a solution, at least for myself! In my case, using a standard extension cord/adapter connected to the USB 2.0 port on my motherboard (on the back of the system unit) helped, I'm not 100% sure yet, but the problem has not yet manifested itself, even after restarting the PC everything immediately worked fine.
Unfortunately, today the problem returned for the first time: the headphones went to sleep and after waking up they could not connect to the dongle. I had to disconnect/connect the dongle.
I had that issue. How I fixed it is enabling the dongle as the default audio device, using their 7.1 surround app on boot up and turning on the headset before I turn on the PC. It's annoying but it's doable. I also don't have Bluetooth on my computer which may help

Dongle connected permanently do PC. Headset regardless if powered on after boot, before boot, after some time of inactivity, everything works always whenever I turn the headset on and boot up PC. I have set 7.1 surround software as default sound device and auto turn on the software using the 2.4 GHz dongle as the source device but it also works without the software (then 2.4 GHz dongle is default device). Headset trying to connect to bluetooth when detects PC off/sleep and immedietely switches back to 2.4 GHz when PC turned on/woken and no bluetooth device connected. Only way I was forced to use the button (three quick clicks) was when I had heapdhones paired with phone at the same time when PC was on with dongle connected. In short summary, everything is working the same way as depicted on the website and box.
Input lattency on hyper dongle is minimum to none on 2022 version. Again big thing that no one is know or talking about is SOFTWARE UPDATE for headset because you cannot do it on synapse or over a phone in app

had the same problem when I got my first one... had to remove the dongle on and off to get the 2.4 connection to work.. sent it back for warranty then the 2nd one doesn't have anymore the problem. BIG L for those who bought their first copies.. huge frustration and blame it solely that they REFURBISH it and been saying it for RAZER but just pretends they don't do it.
You will have this issue if your PC motherboard comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inbuild. My motherboard has it, but I never enabled both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and dint even install any drivers for them. I use LAN cable for internet instead. I have been using the 2022 model since it came out and no issues so far.

Ive been using the 2022 version since its release, approximately more than a year now. And the only issue i have is that my dongle doesnt connect to the headphones anymore, this could be due to my frequent dropping of the dongle but so far i havent had any issues at all. Connecting to bluetooth is functional, when the dongle was still alive it connects really fast with no problem, and the mic for me is really good considering its a $100 headphones. I have no regrets but i do have to admit the sound quality using bluetooth isnt as good as using the wire or the dongle.

My 2021 model is constantly beeping on the left ear. Very annoying. It starts as soon as I open any programm or website that plays audio. And when I use the mic the beeping gets louder. It's brand new and I just unboxed it.
6 months.... I had this PoS 6 months before the mic finally crapped out. Don't get me wrong, I was getting constant connection issues multiple times a day. Funny enough the mic issues go away as soon as you switch from the dongle to bluetooth.
i don't know if this is a mistake in earlier releases of this headset, they dont do this anymore. this video almost made me not buy the not buy it, but im glad i bought it anyways.. what none talkes about is how to make this headset sound twice as good.. "Enable Dolby Atmos + Bassboost + Loudness Equalaztion." this makes the headsed twice as good in every aspect.
I found the fix. I do not get any connection issues if I plug it in a direct USB C port. Using USB A to C conversion creates the problem even with the provided extension cord.
@@DanglishReviews I always have that off, but it was still losing connection when I shut down my system. switching to USB-C direct port removed the need for touching it. I ordered a Cloud 3 already, will compare the qualities and keep the best one.
Hy, I can confirm this issue, every time I have to unplug the USB-C dongle on my modern PC. On iOS I loose connection sporadically while listening to my favorite opera. What on earth! 😵💫
There is also a problem with the headphones turning off automatically after 15 seconds when there is no sound, which means that you have to turn them on again and again. I understand this option after e.g. 10 minutes, but not after 15 sec!!! I believe this makes these headphones useless. There are a lot of posts related to this on the RAZER forum, but no solution.

Huh, I read somewhere that the 22 version has a better mic than the 21. I couldn't find a 22 in my country anywhere for a month, so I just ended up ordering the only 21 I could find. If the only difference is BT and battery life, then I guess it's not that bad.

look at Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (the old model) or HyperX Cloud II for better build quality or Logitech G Pro X (old model) they are all pro models, which have a new model.. and better build qual
I don't recommend buying it, I have it and these are totally flimsy, one simple drop and it broke off great material from the header. The sound and speed is good but the quality of the materials gives a lot to be desired.
The hyperspeed wireless on the 2022 model is terrible, constant disconnects, no auto reconnect, I have to also reconnect the dongle physically. I pretty much only use them with bluetooth now as it works way better for me.
And who batter? Barracuda x 2022, Barracuda x 2021, g535 and g733? Btw i love bass in music. I use 50% for music, and 50% for gaming and watching anime
Barracuda x 2022, or cloud 2. G535 is okay, very comfortable, but sound is a abit average, sounds better if u add bass boost in peace eq. but still not good as barravuda x or cloud 2.
The problem is because the USB turns off devices it thinks it does not use Per default .. so it can be fixed in power setting by not letting it do that
I don't plan on using the USB dongle at all anyway. It will be bluetooth or wired so this isn't really a problem for me. Still, thank you for the information.
have u bought the barracuda x 2022 sir? i just bought mine and it keep disconnecting randomly, sometimes it reconnects by itself or i need to unplug and replug the dongle or turn ( a bit like simon's problem but mine happens in the middle of use )

Try moving your wifi router away from the PC 3.Try turning off the bluetooth device or other wireless devices on your PC 4.Update drivers 5.Try plugging the Razer dongle into USB 2.0 6. If there is another USB device attached near the dongle (for example an external hard drive), try unplugging it first. Good luck.
This headphone absolutely sucks. Not even 8 months old and my headset stopped pairing with anything, and if it does, there is not sound at all. Only works wired. Flimsy build quality. Never buying another Razer product again all their shit is mediocre.
It's funny bro because I had the headset for 2 years when I bought it when it first came out and I never had any issues until he two years later because I didn't take care of them and they still stuck up for me in 2024 they just recently broke because I didn't take care of them there was nothing wrong with them I had mine since day one since it launched I would say those are very good headphones I would say they're actually better than normal headphones headphones that you don't have to use the computer to adjust the sound or anything you know what I mean

I have an issue with the little scroll to adjust volume, sometimes, when it gets to the top, it gets lower volume than a little bit before, in addition to that, sometimes y sounds louder in left side, even being the only side that sounds, and to fix it I have to literally hit the headphones in the little scroll against a hard surface, and on the left side of the headphones, also, sometimes bugs when connected both by wireless and bluetooth, and won't give sound in any of both.
How do you get the mic to work though? been having an issue that I cant use the removable mic seemingly at all. try to connect it and use the mic but nothing is picking up.

Hi looking for a similliar shaped headset but it needs to be rainproof. I now use BlackSharks v2 and im happy with them, but i want one pair for outside use as well.
Been using like for a year, for me the bluetooth problem was sometimes only but a volume wheel is my problem. i had to scroll up and down to fix it or it gonna hear just one side of the headset.
Mine is perfectly fine all I had to do was put the usb piece in and change a few settings within the games I was playing and in pc settings. It’s all about the settings it is kinda confusing but I figured this out as soon as I got it. Don’t connect it as Bluetooth or connect it then remove the Bluetooth version off of your pc and you will be fine
Yea no, i have 10 headsets with a USB 2.4 GHz dongle that works plug and play, and this does not keep connection, you have to re-plug and connect everytime you want to game. Some pc's (my coworker) does not have the problem, but it was on me and my sons computer. This can be down to how the motherboard or case treats the USB's as far as i have figured out, if the USB ports auto power off , then you have to reconnect the dongle everytime you reboot the computer, or just want to switch to using the headset after i has been powered off or on standby. Maybe its windows 10 vs. windows 11 also.
correct even though i never connected to bluetooth on pc , even with usb dongle it does not auto connect after pc reboot next day ,,,,it also disconect in between gamiing with dongle attach to old usb
i think razer has an issue with their dongle, i have the basilisk mouse and i use the dongle to any usb 3.0 the connection has some issues. but with usb 2.0 port the connection issues went away. strange.
a little update on this, i just got the 2022 razer barracuda, and its the same issue. tried on usb2.0 port and works fine for games and media. But when i try it on usb3.0 ports, intermittent connection issues. tried this on pc and work laptop too. same issue.

i do not own a PS5 - the issue on PC can be solved with correct power mangement configuration of USB's my coworker have the Barracuda X 2022, and have no problems with it.

i have this wierd problem which is ofc i think with my windows 11 so please tell me the fix if anyone has it. I bought these a few days ago, headset is awesome but the thing is , whenever i connect the dongle directly to laptop's usb c port, it works flawlessly, but when i use the given usb C to A extender , the laptop just say usb device malfunctioned error. But i tried connecting it to my 10 year old laptop with the extender, it works fine there. Any fix? generic youtube fixes for that windows error seems to do nothing. (note: it shows "Unknown USB device (Det Address Failed)" in device manager )

Its just everyone i turn on my computer .. its not automatically connected And eveytime i turn on the headset - not connected .. The 2021 never loses connection, neither does all my other 2.4ghz-only headsets

Hi, I though of buying my very own first wireless headphone. But couldn't make desicion between Razer Barracuda X 2022 & JBL Tune 720 BT. Any suggestion?
If for pure sound quality (movies, music) I would always pick up JBL but honestly I like Razer design, sound quality in games (that 7.1 softwares gives nice sound depth). Maby I'm a little Razer fanboy and when using peripherals I prefer one brand for everything (headset, mouse, keyboard).

this is headset is absolute garbage. Got it for my bday and its steady has problems connecting to my PC and the audio quality consistently gets distorted. The charger does not stay in the headset securely either so you cant play and charge at the same time

I dont think you can buy it. Because they are connected, the headset and the dongle with some sort of ID, and if you were able to, it would really be a problem if multiple of people were in the same room, with same headset.

Listening to this on my Barracuda X mine only has the dongle connection. Only issues are the volume knob causing balance issues and the headphones are just cracking everwhere.

I honestly haven't had any issues with my barracuda x other than finding a proper replacement for the detachable mic as it never seems to be in stock

There is a firmware update available - did you try this? Both the headset and dongle on mine purchased today had a new versions available.

You can also turn of powesave mode for ports directly - in power settings :)

My barracuda has one side scratchy audio it fixes itself but comes back now and then .. idk what to do its 2021 model

The hyperspeed wireless on the 2022 model is terrible, constant disconnects, no auto reconnect, I have to also reconnect the dongle physically. I pretty much only use them with bluetooth now as it works way better for me.
And who batter? Barracuda x 2022, Barracuda x 2021, g535 and g733? Btw i love bass in music. I use 50% for music, and 50% for gaming and watching anime
its so hard, i'd say HyperX Cloud II or Baracuda X 2021 (of those ive tried)

Barracuda x 2022, or cloud 2. G535 is okay, very comfortable, but sound is a abit average, sounds better if u add bass boost in peace eq. but still not good as barravuda x or cloud 2.

The problem is because the USB turns off devices it thinks it does not use Per default .. so it can be fixed in power setting by not letting it do that

I don't plan on using the USB dongle at all anyway. It will be bluetooth or wired so this isn't really a problem for me. Still, thank you for the information.

have u bought the barracuda x 2022 sir? i just bought mine and it keep disconnecting randomly, sometimes it reconnects by itself or i need to unplug and replug the dongle or turn ( a bit like simon's problem but mine happens in the middle of use )
@@varian002 Try installing Razer Audio on your phone, connect it via Bluetooth and change Stand-By mode from 15 minutes to never.

1. change your PC's USB power plan
2. Try moving your wifi router away from the PC
3.Try turning off the bluetooth device or other wireless devices on your PC
4.Update drivers
5.Try plugging the Razer dongle into USB 2.0
6. If there is another USB device attached near the dongle (for example an external hard drive), try unplugging it first.

This headphone absolutely sucks. Not even 8 months old and my headset stopped pairing with anything, and if it does, there is not sound at all. Only works wired. Flimsy build quality. Never buying another Razer product again all their shit is mediocre.

It's funny bro because I had the headset for 2 years when I bought it when it first came out and I never had any issues until he two years later because I didn't take care of them and they still stuck up for me in 2024 they just recently broke because I didn't take care of them there was nothing wrong with them I had mine since day one since it launched I would say those are very good headphones I would say they're actually better than normal headphones headphones that you don't have to use the computer to adjust the sound or anything you know what I mean

I have an issue with the little scroll to adjust volume, sometimes, when it gets to the top, it gets lower volume than a little bit before, in addition to that, sometimes y sounds louder in left side, even being the only side that sounds, and to fix it I have to literally hit the headphones in the little scroll against a hard surface, and on the left side of the headphones, also, sometimes bugs when connected both by wireless and bluetooth, and won't give sound in any of both.
How do you get the mic to work though? been having an issue that I cant use the removable mic seemingly at all. try to connect it and use the mic but nothing is picking up.
hmm, i just plugged mine in, and then it works- there is a ON button on the headset for the mic it self.

Mine is perfectly fine all I had to do was put the usb piece in and change a few settings within the games I was playing and in pc settings. It’s all about the settings it is kinda confusing but I figured this out as soon as I got it. Don’t connect it as Bluetooth or connect it then remove the Bluetooth version off of your pc and you will be fine
Yea no, i have 10 headsets with a USB 2.4 GHz dongle that works plug and play, and this does not keep connection, you have to re-plug and connect everytime you want to game.
Some pc's (my coworker) does not have the problem, but it was on me and my sons computer. This can be down to how the motherboard or case treats the USB's as far as i have figured out, if the USB ports auto power off , then you have to reconnect the dongle everytime you reboot the computer, or just want to switch to using the headset after i has been powered off or on standby.
Maybe its windows 10 vs. windows 11 also.

i think razer has an issue with their dongle, i have the basilisk mouse and i use the dongle to any usb 3.0 the connection has some issues. but with usb 2.0 port the connection issues went away. strange.
a little update on this, i just got the 2022 razer barracuda, and its the same issue. tried on usb2.0 port and works fine for games and media. But when i try it on usb3.0 ports, intermittent connection issues. tried this on pc and work laptop too. same issue.

i do not own a PS5 - the issue on PC can be solved with correct power mangement configuration of USB's my coworker have the Barracuda X 2022, and have no problems with it.

i have this wierd problem which is ofc i think with my windows 11 so please tell me the fix if anyone has it. I bought these a few days ago, headset is awesome but the thing is , whenever i connect the dongle directly to laptop's usb c port, it works flawlessly, but when i use the given usb C to A extender , the laptop just say usb device malfunctioned error. But i tried connecting it to my 10 year old laptop with the extender, it works fine there. Any fix? generic youtube fixes for that windows error seems to do nothing. (note: it shows "Unknown USB device (Det Address Failed)" in device manager )
If I'm using my headset RUclips won't play, when I disconnect my headset RUclips plays fine.

@@DanglishReviews yes, I figured out that Bluetooth and Dongle were conflicting so I removed Bluetooth, it works great now.
the solution is to plug it to power usb or set your usb power on

Hi, I though of buying my very own first wireless headphone. But couldn't make desicion between Razer Barracuda X 2022 & JBL Tune 720 BT. Any suggestion?
If for pure sound quality (movies, music) I would always pick up JBL but honestly I like Razer design, sound quality in games (that 7.1 softwares gives nice sound depth). Maby I'm a little Razer fanboy and when using peripherals I prefer one brand for everything (headset, mouse, keyboard).

this is headset is absolute garbage. Got it for my bday and its steady has problems connecting to my PC and the audio quality consistently gets distorted. The charger does not stay in the headset securely either so you cant play and charge at the same time

I dont think you can buy it. Because they are connected, the headset and the dongle with some sort of ID, and if you were able to, it would really be a problem if multiple of people were in the same room, with same headset.

Listening to this on my Barracuda X mine only has the dongle connection. Only issues are the volume knob causing balance issues and the headphones are just cracking everwhere.
