Ambush is a fun order. Thank you for the situation examples that helped me understand the rule book.

This was an extremely helpful video - I rarely call Ambush, but now I'm starting to see why it's so useful. Great video as always!

    Hello!
You meant the Australian commandos being set up in FD and with ambush?

I like combining ambush with my hidden set-up. They can’t be targeted for indirect fire because they are hidden and are only hit on a seven roll even in soft cover. Very good for AT guns if you do take them for covering a lane. I took out my son’s Tiger 1 (400+ pts) with my 57mm AT gun. So satisfying lol!

So lets say a unit of 12 horses move up at the bottom of turn 2.
At the top of turn 3 I go into ambush with my assault gun, and Fire with my LMG squad at the enemy horses.
Because Ambush triggers on any movement - - even recce - - that squad of horses get blown up by my assault gun's ambush resolve. I see.

I almost always use ambush with weapons team or if I have a lot of weapons on a vehicle like a Tiger one with pintle MMG, or Sherman with a pintle MMG. I have not really used it for any of my infantry as I sort of move them almost every turn they are on the board.

Which unit in the German has the hedgerow ambush rule?
