Was searching my garage and came across my set of Bolt Action, decided to look it up again and found out there was a V3 , so I came to this page for some usefull information AND I ordered some tanks too :) :)
What I'm unclear on is "Can take another of his dice from the bag". What if you reach in and pull out the other guy's die instead? Do you put it back and try again? Seems like a weird way to do this.

If you have a Platoon Commander with 2 extra Troops and an Enemy Sniper kills the Single platoon commander, leaving only the 2 troopers in the unit alive, will you lose the +2 Moral bonus and Snap to order, or would it be considered part of the units function. I feel if the officer is dead you loose all of that? but I have been counter-argued on this issue
@@waynegeorge3482 yes you will. The rules reference an officer model conferring the bonus. In addition, the snap to order references the officer, not the unit. This is on page 113 of the rule book.
Hello, I'm very new to Bolt Action so forgive my ignorance but what does it mean for weapons teams on large bases with "pretend their on 25mm bases and ignore the large base".
So sometimes you'll have a machine gun team or artillery team (3 man team for example) on the same base. I multi-base mine like that because it's easier to work with. What they are saying is disregard that large base and pretend they are on 25mm bases. So you're drawing LOS and distance to the big base I have them on for convenience.
@@piewarriorny Totally a matter of preference. I use a die or token to show if a model is removed. They just look better on one base as you can make it more scenic.

@MiniatureGameMontage yes but thats a nitpick, like Warhammer has shown time and time again: people would only rotate to the newest edition and all tournaments and alike would do the same.
Great tutorial, looking forward to part 2.
Probably the best how to play video I’ve ever watched well done!

Awesome! Hope you enjoy the game!
Awesome explanation on the rules. Bravo!
This is what I have been waiting for!! Thank you!
Thanks for this brilliant video. It was clear and did a good job of pointing out the differences in 3.0
Love your bolt action content and can't wait to see lots of v3 battle reports
Excited for v3. Hoping the wording on Ambush is cleaner this time around as they are easily the biggest source of arguments around here.

What base rings do you have on your models?
I use these to easily identify different weapons. www.thingiverse.com/thing:1149445
What are the different color rings for?
I put them on so I can easily tell what weapons are. Rifles are all a certain color, Assault Rifles a different color, etc.
