    10:24 F-4E also supports this. There is a keybind called selfie mode that turns on the pilots head for camera.

      huh neat! I'll check it out and add it to the lua files if it works out. Thanks!

      Just reporting back. It DOES work! I still need to do some tests with track replays, but I've included the F-4E in the Server.lua anyways. Thanks again!

      And last update, unfortunately selfie mode does NOT replay previous head movements. So unfortunately it's useless for track replay purposes :(

    I believe the F4 camera view along with the WSDA and QE keys give you unlimited camera placement, using the pgup/pgdwn keys slow the movement down or speed it up. No?

    • @Tuuvas
      @Tuuvas  6 дней назад +1

      Yes, but you miss out on two major things:
      - No Snap Views. So you'll have to manually adjust the camera yourself any time you want a different angle.
      - External models only. Meaning all cockpit elements are static images. No video on MFDs, instrument dials don't move, etc
      But really, this guide is meant to add to the toolbelt. Not replace it. If the techniques in this helps you get certain shots more easily, then great

      @jakesvrfightclubnetwork3718 Check the description of the video for a download link to the Server.lua and SnapViews.lua I used in this video. That should get you started with minimal effort.

    Great video, just out of curiosity, do you still use gamepad to play when using VR?

    • @Tuuvas
      @Tuuvas  7 дней назад

      Depends on what I'm doing at the time. Usually, if I'm using VR, then I'm using my full setup. Unless I'm recording a bunch of clips for a video, in which case it's a lot easier to do gamepad while in VR.

    Great stuff. Have implemented your files, works a treat. However, one question; There are 14 snap-views defined how does one access those above 9?

    • @Tuuvas
      @Tuuvas  6 дней назад +1

      Honestly? I'm not sure on that one. I only know of 1-9 via the numpad and the "Custom Snap View 1 - 9" binds in DCS

    for the apache the IHADS can be toggled. unless that doesn't work for some reason when trying to do this.

    • @Tuuvas
      @Tuuvas  6 дней назад

      The context is when in track replays. This won't work since you can't use actions like that when viewing a replay.
      If you're doing this live, then yeah you can just use "i" for "IHADSS show". The monocle won't be over the pilot's eye anymore, but that's probably the least of your worries if you're looking back at the pilot while actively flying.

    the lack of gear or engines when you are inside the cockpit pilot view has to do with performance because realistically you can't see it from the cockpit. the less they add the less heavy it gets, let it be the way it is, if you want a full fidelity view of the plane and pilot you have the F2 external view, perfect, plz dont put ideas on ED minds because surely with the present code it will mess up performance for everyone

    • @Tuuvas
      @Tuuvas  6 дней назад

      I'd take F4 snap views if they could implement it. That way I'd have 9 for cockpit, and 9 for external shots

      If you're only going to do PC gaming, then I'd say the X10. But look into the Flydigi Direwolf 2 as well. I tend to prefer Flydigi products for my own use, and the Direwolf 2 is a cheaper option from Flydigi

      There's a lot of steps, but you should be able to look up how to get hand tracking to work on PC if you're using a Meta Quest headset that supports hand tracking. After that, just set VR controllers in DCS to hand track and you should be set
