  • In Royal Recipes today, presenter Michael Buerk and chef Paul Ainsworth reimagine an unusual dish served at King Charles's 50th birthday party. Dr Matt Green visits Dyrham near Bath to learn the history of deer parks, and former royal chef Carolyn Robb recreates a favourite royal pudding using British autumn fruit.
From Elizabeth II to Cleopatra, Real Royalty peels back the curtain to give a glimpse into the lives of some of the most influential families in the world, with new full length documentaries posted every week covering the monarchies of today and all throughout history.

Cherries are my favorite fruit to snack on, I like them tart and sweet! My mom makes a similar apple crumble, I think I'll share the recipe with her. I'm big on Schnapps though! Schnapps are drunk with very tiny glasses neat, and it's warming, and it's consuming fruit before bed! I'd use my cherries to make Schnapps!
You can get a double yoker everytime if you shine a flash before you place the eggs in a bowl!

Double yolks come from jumbo-sized eggs. They are not that unusual here in the States. I once bought a dozen jumbo eggs that had all double yolks.

OMG, in this episode, Michael's nose is as red as a strawberry. I'm embarrassed for his sottish appearance, but at least I don't have to get up close to him. Too bad; he has a beautiful voice, and it's a good show. 18:16 He's much more sober here; his nose is almost normal. 21:36 Smart Chef just ignores M's tasteless comments. BTW, Michael, as you should know, nothing works for a hangover. 24:04 between takes, M must go back to glug a few nips. Note the nose again.

No, because it was charles 50th birthday. when Diana and charles divorced he was 48 and his 50th birthday was in 1998 14 months after Diana's death.

So all of his food is served to British royalty even now, when half of the country has nothing to eat and no place to live. What a waste of time and money.

@Tara this was food served by some dumb chef. Tell me what foods he served or someone served two British royalty or British aristocrats. Not very interesting. Who cares? These large British Estates should be broken up into farms for poor people. Who is a fig for any British royalty or aristocrats, who think they’re better than other people. If they wanted a real king, the title should have gone to Prince William and his wife, not Chucky boy and Some woman who thinks she’s better than other people. She’s not queen.

The fact that the Royal Family employs British citizens and purchases British food products certainly helps the economy. I would much rather have the Royal Family than the constant parade of clowns that have resided in my country's White House.
