This might be my first comment on any video ever, I passed my CFAT on the 31st of July 2024. Passed the test and was told I did very well, and now im eligible for almost all the jobs. Thank you for all the help. Got my medical on the 13th of August. Wish me luck!!
that’s horrifying, i had been putting my test off because i had no clue if i was ready or not but the recruiters called me to book it and i’m going in tomorrow 🤞🏼
To add to Tip #1 - The answers typically are obvious if you know the outcome of certain things. For example if the mathematical problem is presented as 0.5 multiplied by 12, and you are given the option of a) 1 b) 12 c) 0.6 or d) 6, you can look at the numbers and eliminate very quickly. It's obvious that a is way to low, b is way to high since 1 x 12 is 12, c is impossible because a decimal number that low, multiplied by the larger number will provide a much higher number, and I don't need to confirm that d is correct because the logical breakdown has been completed. Answer and move on. The time it takes you to answer the question is monitored and factored, so using pen and paper to confirm the answer is not the intent. Alternatively if the question is 0.5 divided by 12 and are given the answers of a) 12, b) .4 c) 0.004 or d) 0.4, you can eliminate a because the number must be smaller than 0.5, 0.4 is too larger compared to 0.5, and 0.004 is way to small for what would be expected, so therefore d is the answer. Don't confirm it, just answer and move on. Look at the answers, read the question, eliminate illogical answers and you'll be left with the correct answer. The answers are usually pretty illogical, which makes it easier.
I implemented this strategy a few months ago. I might add...if there is a question with many variables, skip to the next one you can solve under a minute. This way if you are going to burn on a mark, it will be one of the more difficult questions and not one you could potentially answer quickly.
i'm going in for my CFAT & FORCE in little over an hour, i'm extremely nervous but i'm going for being a primary reserve infanteer at 17. i feel more confident after taking tips from the videos you and Kyra Nankivell have posted, thanks a ton!

I just wanted to say thank you. I was super nervous about the process of joining the force, but watching your videos eased my nerves and i passed my CFAT and FORCE evaluation today. I truly dont think i would have done as well without the knowledge, tips and encouragement youve provided. Excited for the next stage!

Thanks a ton Sir. I passed my CFAT with your recommendations. I am super excited. All credit goes to you Sir. Your videos were really helpful. I qualified for quite a few trades and also for what I applied for. Thanks again.
@@arieladam69Probably just going to revolve around the basics: arithmetic, fractions, decimals, conversions involving - percentages, decimals, and ratios, and basic word problem solving.
Thank you for this video. It helped a lot with my Aptitude test. The Recruitment officer in Hamilton said that I did extremely well. His words: "You did so well that you could get any job with the CAF, even officer's jobs." I was applying for Image Tech. Unfortunately, I was on some Blood Pressure meds a few months back so that ended my progress so far. But thanks for making this content as it was educational, helpful and motivational. Journey is not over yet, I just have to wait a year before I can try again. I was told 365 days being off the meds will make me eligible again. Cheers.
Good luck and keep trying, it will be worth it in the end. You should check out the RCN page and combat camera on Flickr, they post tons of awesome images. Image Tech in the CAF is an amazing job! www.flickr.com/photos/rcnmrc/albums/
Having just done the CFAT, it was definitely harder than the practice test given. If you want something of similar difficulty, there is the PublicServicePrep guide for Canadian military book that has a practice CFAT, just rent it from the library. I got a near perfect score so I was told. Having a background in engineering doing mental calculations daily certainly made it smoother sailing.
Just referred this to my brother (who just filled out his application online, aiming for Combat Engineer as a first pick, and Infanteer as second). Hopefully he finds it of great use and can ace the CFAT! Thank you Prairie Sailor.

Hey thanks for all the help, i was concerned and checked this video out 2 days before my test and got in the highest category and qualify for all jobs. I would say my score but i was told in the instructions not to talk about the test. Thanks again
they need to get rid of that limitation on how many times you can write the CFAT. Even the police don't have that. The CAF lost some good guys because of that
For those wondering, the Canadian Forces do not apply the CFAT anymore. I am not sure if it is for every province. I went in to pass my CFAT and the recruiting officer told us that they do not apply the CFAT anymore. Now waiting for the next steps in my recruitment!
@@PrairieSailor Thank you for all your efforts, your videos have been my go to’s throughout this process and have been so incredibly helpful! I passed the test!!!!🥳🥳🥳😁
Dear Prairie, thank you for all your support. I passed my test in Sep 2023, I haven't rec any update/interview call till now. i have followed up many times with CAF Centre in Halifax and they have replied that they do not control the interview schedules. Can you please guide?
Continue to follow up with both email and phone calls. If the delay is security clearance there is likely nothing they can do, but it would be nice to know. They should answer and let you know the reason and a status update (even if the update is bad news like it is security clearance and could be up to 18 months).
Cleared my cfat today. I think number of questions have changed now. For Spatial skills you will be given 12 mins to answer 18 questions. Anyway my recruiter told me that Im in top 15 percentile. Ty for help Sir.

@@MrBobbyBrown2006 yeah. I applied, they forgot about me so my cfat was 11 months later. Then they needed new references, I provided it, they forgot about me again for another 5, 6 months. After that I was on their ass. From start to finish it was 3 years.
I'm working towards joking the Navy thru their new program The N.E.P. I'd like to train as a Boatswain, but the sky is the limit. Wish me luck in joining.
Hey there, took the CFAT a couple weeks ago, all your content really helped me push myself to take that step so thanks for doing all this! I was told upon completion that I qualified for every trade in the military, but was wondering: I applied for NWO and when I did, was told it was competitive. Is meeting the minimum for every trade an indication of competitiveness, or is it not worth speculating on? Thanks again!
If you met for every trade that means you scored a high percentile in all three sections which is a good indication. Also, NWO is usually the most in demand Officer Occupation in my experience in the Naval Reserves, so good luck!!
@@bluedx8062 I found it to be relatively manageable. It is sort of split into 3 sections, the first is like vocabulary and reading skills + reasoning, the second is like spatial ability and logical thinking, and the third is largely arithmetic and various calculations. I wouldn't say that any of it was particularly difficult, I took one practice test beforehand and felt prepared. The only word of advice I'd give is to not linger too long on the questions in the 2nd part of the test. Mind you, I think mileage varies a bit depending on comfort with arithmetic and logical thinking. I have a background in engineering so this wasn't too bad for me, but nonetheless I still think that most people shouldn't have too hard a time. Just prepare a bit, do the practice test under test-like conditions, and you should be fine :)
52/60 on the practice test. 13/15/24 Only thing is I am 36yrs old and have absolutely no military background so i really wonder how much that will affect my chances. Cyber Operator is a career I would be interested in but would require education in the field. Would be a nice change to have the rest of my working life be dedicated to the future of our online security.
Great choice, you will receive education of you are selected as a Cyber Operator: "After your BMQ, Cyber Operators will attend a CAF-approved college program on computer network security at Willis College in Ottawa, Ontario. Using a combination of theory, demonstrations, practical work and simulation exercises, the CFSCE course will cover: Cyber Operations Data capture and statistical analysis Communications and data security Operation of auxiliary equipment" from fforces.ca/en/career/cyber-operator/
Hey James, I have a question in regards to the CFAT. I’ve noticed that the CAF is running a trial right now that pertains to certain occupations no longer requiring the CFAT. Could you speak more on that? It would be great to receive a reply from you, thanks.
I saw the add on the no CFAT fast pass as well! I will study up on the program in the new year, so far I’ve only seen what’s advertised publicly and haven’t seen any policy.
Just wanted to say thank you sir for uploading and guiding us through your videos on the process. Salute captain. Would it be hindered if I am 32 years old? I have a bachelors in mechanical engineering and master's in supply chain management?
Hi I have a question, you mentioned in your video you can only write the Cfat 3 times.. does that mean if you didn’t pass on the 3rd attempt you can never join the forces for the rest of your life? or can you come back and apply for the forces again in 5 years for example and fill out a application and try to join again. I’m just curious about what happens if that were to happen. Great video by the way I’m writing my Cfat in 2 weeks I hope I do well :)
Great question! It is possible to have a 3rd rewrite (4th total), but it is rare. You would need a very good reason, and a 5 year gap plus increasing your education may be a good enough reason.
Hi, thank you for video, great help. Can you please guide what documents, a PR needs to take on test day, considering that the degrees are from outside Canada.
If you have a degree from outside of Canada you will need to complete academic accreditation through organizations such as the ICAS, WES, and IQAS. I found it’s more on how to deal with stress. Can you solve problems in a short time. Some people get so focused on the time they panic and cannot focus on the task
Average wait time for medical in my experience is around 3-5 weeks. They usually won't put you on the list for booking until everything else is 100%, so I would call/email and ask to make sure everything has been submitted and completed to be ready for medical.
@@PrairieSailor Thank you sir! I was hoping to get a call after a week but I guess 3 weeks is the minimum wait time. You and Kyra were a great help on my CFAT.
I contacted the military after Covid closed a lot of stuff (was between jobs and had been considering military for a while), but was surprised to have no one reaching back to me. I guess I thought they'd be struggling to get recruits. It's been in the back of my mind for a bit to enter military, but part of that would depend on what kinda work I could do. Is there a way to take CFAT, but only join if the particular tracks available for you based on your score are ones you'd want to pursue? Or by the time you're taking the CFAT are you basically already committed to joining the forces one way or another?
Saw your video today and it is very informative, Just got CFAT test cleared 3 days ago but i am on PR and have an Engineering Degree from Pakistan, I applied for a commissioned officer. Now, I am waiting to the medical call and then the interview call, bit confused about the interview because i am just 1 year old here in Canada so what do they ask in interview, my field is Information Technology
The interview is to determine your suitability and eligibility for service in the Canadian Armed Forces and your selected occupation. There will be many general service related questions. There are not usually detailed technical questions about your field.
@@PrairieSailor ahh , cool, thank you for the information. I don't have any problem with that, but I'm a bit self-conscious about my language skills. Hello sir, I have a question. I took the CFAT and Physical exam on August 29, 2024 and passed the Physical, however, my CFAT is a bit 'meh' after finishing the Physical exam. When I asked my recruiter how my test went, they told me "If you don't get an email from us by the end of the day (the day I took the exam) or by the next day, that means you're good." Is that true? Although I'm still waiting for my medical test appointment, I haven't heard back from my recruiter in almost three weeks However, my status remains at Step 2 "Ready For Testing"
@@DatNguyen-hk2zkthere is no harm in contacting your recruiter and requesting an update to confirm you made the CFAT cutoff for your selected occupations and ask the expected time frame for the medical appointment.
Would your application be favoured on the merit list if you did the CFAT? since recently they made the CFAT optional for applying to certain occupations.
Good question, CFAT score is used as criteria on the competition list. I don’t think it will apply to the situation, because the competition list is for occupations with high competition, meaning more applicants than positions. The CFAT exemption is for “in demand” occupations, meaning we need people. So there should not be overlap, ie there is not competition for in demand occupations.
Hi sir, i hope you are well. i just have a question in mind that do they teach any hand to hand combat in the CAF or any optional training is available in the navy
I have never recieved any training in hand to hand combat. I am sure that occupations that require it will provide training, especially specialized roles like boarding parties and Naval Tatical Operarions Group, but general Canadian Armed Forces training does not include hand to hand combat.
I studied for2- 3 hours a day and thought I wouldn’t have to worry about long division if my other skills were decent in problem solving… whole thing was division. So I personally think I failed. After I waited and one guy said a medical person would be with me.. i waited, another guy came up and told me that the medical team would reach out to me…. So does that mean I passed?
I assume so, you should always ask! You should have a councelling session after the test where you are told which occupations you are eligible. I guess some recruiters go by the "no news is good news" philosophy.
@@PrairieSailorI made it through! Although Ive been waiting for the final processing for 5 months now which feels like longer lol, been practicing the bmq evaluation test in the meantime. Thanks for the video content
I went for my CFAT on October 30th. After I finished my test they explained what occupations I qualify for based on my score. Then confirmed my references and other info on my application Assuming there getting in contact with my references. When can I expect to hear back from them on next steps if I hear back at all?
You are likely correct that they are doing reference checks and security clearance. This would be a good time to follow up with both a phone call and email asking for a status update and if they need anything more from you.
@@Real_MrCookie usually the interview is the last step. Sometimes it is done before the medical. Once you are 100% you are ready to be enrolled if you are Reserve. In the Regular Force you will go on the competition list and wait for a job offer.
@@PrairieSailordo you know how hard is the interview? I may be the only person who is more scared of the interview than the test itself lol 😂. Thank you!
You need to be able to pass the Force Evaluation which includes lifting a sandbag to a height of 1 meter 30 times. If you can do that you are tall enough. As far as I know there is no actual height requirement.
Hi! I’m taking my CFAT soon. I’m hoping to get into the RMC or ROTP in the fall of next year. I was wondering if they’re going to look or consider my high school transcript? I’m currently in grade 11, so I haven’t completed high school yet.
Yes, they will consider your high school transcript. You can get one even if you haven’t graduated yet, and you need to provide it as a part of the application process.
@@Ilovemyiring ROTP is a competitive program. I am a Reserve Recruiter so I do not know the exact criteria for selecting applicants. I speculate that it would include CFAT score, grades (including your high school transcript), work experience, volunteer/other experience, and interview score. There may be other factors I am not aware of as well.
You cannot use a calculator. Your score gets plugged in to an algorithm that gives us a list of occupations you qualify for. I can’t tell you an exact score you need.
Any idea if they will be adding more trades to the list of trades that you don’t have to write the CFAT for? Would be nice to not have to write if you’re already qualified.. Applied to dental tech.. already hold a diploma and have 10 years experience and i apparently still need to write.
Hi sir, I’m a 21 year old who’s in great physical shape. I’ve just taken the practice test & scored a 8-15 8-15 and 13-30. I’m curious to know if that would be considered a pass to get into basic infanteer?
You could try again at a different recruiter and just don't tell them. Maybe a different branch too. Or you could try for the French foreign legion but don't tell them obviously
Hello, I applied for 3 positions with the expedited application trial, will I be exempt from the tests? Today it's been a week since I applied and the status is READY FOR TESTING
There are a handful of criteria you need to meet to be exempt. It depends on your education and other factors, and the occupations you applied for. Ask your recruiter and good luck!
I'm from toronto and am looking to join the CAF i was wondering do aptitude tests happen in quebec aswell as basic training or is there a place in toronto for the aptitude test/basic training?
Yes, aptitude tests take place at any Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre which are located in every major city. Basic Training happens at a number of locations across Canada, for the Naval Reserve usually CFB Valcartier, Quebec, and for Reg Force often CFLRS Saint Jean, Quebec.
I don't know how I did well on it, my English portion was atrocious. Still managed to get in the 98th percentile somehow - maybe the caf doesn't think pilots need English.
why is it so unfair for the people that failed on cfat multiple times and the new comers are able to not take the exams for CFAT😢 all i want is to be in CAF😭 im desperate
Hello, thank you so much for sharing this helpful video, I really appreciate it, I have a question, I just submitted an application through the portal, does the next step is waiting for CFAT? Or do I need to provide the required documents first such as ID, transcripts etc? Because I still haven't received the email to allow me to have the CFAT test. Thanks again.
Different processing centers have slightly different ways of doing it. At my unit we can do either full day processing which includes submitting documents, CFAT, and fitness test all in one day. Sometimes it can can take multiple evening appointments instead. In general, testing will not begin until all source documents (ID, Education, Employment history, References) have been submitted.
@@PrairieSailor You are so kind and nice person , you always patient to answer any questions as long as you know it, is it possible I can contact you by chance? Because I live in Winnipeg too.
@PrairieSailor so as a follow up I mainly went to ask about my particular situation since I have pets. I was worried that i would need to join the reserves because I assumed I would need to live on a base that wouldn't allow pets. They confirmed I could indeed have pets and would just need to find someone to watch them while I do training. I am now about to research all the potential positions I am eligible for and pick the top 3 and apply online as per the recruiters instructions.
@PrairieSailor it was recommended that if i wanted a more guaranteed chance at getting in I should look into the navy as well as they are apparently looking to increase it's size. Hopefully I can find a position within the navy that would allow to me to bring my kitties along with me otherwise army it is.
Hello there, I wanted to ask, do you know how long it takas after the test? It's been a year since i passed the aptitude test and did a couple of additional interviews, submitted my background check and was told i have to wait for Ottawa to get back to me. I know it takes about 18 months so maybe 8 to go, but is there a way to find out the progress?
I recommend emailing and/or calling and asking for an update, however it is likely they will just say security clearance is in progress. Recruiting staff does not conduct the clearance so we are just notified when it is complete, we don’t know any detail on the progress. But it is still good to check in once in awhile to confirm your file is still open and in progress.
@@PrairieSailor Thanx, I mean they clearly told me after this stage there is nothing we can do just wait for the process to take its course, please do not call us. See the problem is where do you even call, Ottawa recruitment? Probably nice to just wait 😮💨
If they close your file is that it completly and you're out for life or can you reapply in a year or 2? Also if you fail in applying to one branch can you reapply to a different branch?
You can re-apply. In most cases you can re-activite your previous application and do not need to complete the online application again, you can just contact the recruiting centre and request to re-open your file. You will need to have a reason, like you have improved on whatever portion of the application you were unsuccessful on. Applying to a different branch will not change your results, all branches share files and information. Your file will transfer.
Hi, I am wondering if there is any height requirement for fitness test. I just wish to work as a support person may be in HR or logistics not as a combat person, I am female with 4ft 10 inches height.
Hello Sir, I passed my cfat exam and qualified with a good score. I applied for full time. I was asked for WES evaluation which I did. Then I was asked for FDL which I submitted a month ago. I didn’t hear from the office at all. I went in personally and submitted FDL, when I did they told me they would call me and book for medicals in a couple of weeks. I called them quite a few times and they kept telling me we will call you soon and I didn’t hear from them at all. Please advice me on what to do next. I am so confused at this point and I would really like to know what are the odds for any FDL to not get approved.
You have learned the number one rule of the CAF. We use to call it the hurry up and wait. And remember hearing nothing from them is kind of a good thing it means you have given them everything they asked for. best of luck

Wondering if you would do a video on Air Crew Selection Course? Thank you for your videos very helpful. I have a question regarding selection for Reg and Reserve force- Say you are in security clearance process and you opted for Reg Force when you started your application and now you wanted to move to Reserve Class C but still wants to go through BMQ as Reg force - Can you do that?
I am not familiar enough with air crew selection to make a video. Yes, it is an option to do Reg Force BMQ as a Reservist. Be aware that if you join the Reserves you will likely not get class C right away, you need to complete training courses first and will be working a combo of class A and class B until you are qualified in your occupation.
Hi sir i applied in the navy and already passed my cfat ill just ask on how long should i be in the navy to join the NTOG/MTOG because thats what i want to do in the navy thankyou so much
NTOG is an elite tactical team. You will need to be enrolled, complete BMQ (Basic Training), NETP (Naval Environmental Training), and Occupational training. You will want to volunteer for as many additional training courses and deployment opportunities as possible for experience, like Boarding Party training and Naval Security Team deployments. Then you could be considered for NTOG. It will take a few years, but it's a great goal, good luck!!
My recommended resources are the Forces.ca practice test, the armytest.com/navy app and the Kyra Nankivell youtube series. Links are in the description.
If you join as an Officer in the Air Force I believe you will enrol as an Officer Cadet. It may be possible to be enrolled as a higher rank if you have previous military experience and relevant training. The time it takes to be promoted varies, I am more familiar with the Navy Reserve where it will usually take 5-8 years to be promoted to Lt(N) (equivalent to Captain in Air Force).
@ 8:00 when your given the option to select another occupation that you qualified for and you choose one. Is it possible that throughout the time you are in the air force could you eventually get into the occupation you wanted with time and effort put in?
If you want to do a voluntary occupational transfer later in your career you can, but in most cases you still need qualify for the CFAT cut-off score. So you would need to request a re-write.
I had a successful interview today for my specific trade I was told the kip aka return on investment would be a 6 year contract - could you elaborate on what formula kip is based on? And how much 6 years equals to civilian trade - cyber ops. Cheers.
I am not an expert on Regular Force contracts so I'm not the best person to ask. An oversimplified version in general is that you must serve at least the same amount of time that it took for your training. For example, if it takes 1.5 years to get trained you must do a minimum of three years total.
If you join with a Bachelors degree you qualify to be an Officer and will start at Naval Cadet. First promotion is to Acting Sub-Lieutenant. Captain is a much higher rank in the Navy than in the Army or Air Force, you would be lucky to achieve that at any point in your career. Lieutenant (Navy) is equivalent to an Army or Air Force Captain, and takes an average of 5-6 years I would say.

How is 0.5:12 answer D. It’s C
0.5 divided by 12 is 0.04
b and d answeres are same@@L-py8yo
I implemented this strategy a few months ago. I might add...if there is a question with many variables, skip to the next one you can solve under a minute. This way if you are going to burn on a mark, it will be one of the more difficult questions and not one you could potentially answer quickly.
Or, if you see something like 0.5 multiplied by 12, you know it's half of 12 instantly because 0.5 = 1/2

Hey what’s up man, I’m currently practicing the aptitude test to take at saint Catherine, how hard is it? And what are the questions
Can you please guide how long it normally takes to get to next step/interview and what are next steps. I followed up with the centre and I was told that appointments are not yet available. Thank you
Keep following up! Ask for an update on your file in an email. They should answer.
I found it’s more on how to deal with stress. Can you solve problems in a short time. Some people get so focused on the time they panic and cannot focus on the task
I passed my test yesterday, cant wait to do the next step. How long long do they usually call for the medical? Do I have to wait months for it?

Yes, you take the CFAT as a part of the application process before you join. You can take the test and see without making any kind of commitment.

Hello sir, I have a question. I took the CFAT and Physical exam on August 29, 2024 and passed the Physical, however, my CFAT is a bit 'meh' after finishing the Physical exam. When I asked my recruiter how my test went, they told me "If you don't get an email from us by the end of the day (the day I took the exam) or by the next day, that means you're good."
Is that true?
Although I'm still waiting for my medical test appointment, I haven't heard back from my recruiter in almost three weeks
However, my status remains at Step 2 "Ready For Testing"
I have been a stay at home mom of 3. I am really scared of the physical fitness test.

Hello , anybody know about that how is the aircrew selection test conduct by RCAF and how we can prepare for it ???
If after the testing, they just said that you are good to go!. Does mean you fail?
Hi sir i applied in the navy and already passed my cfat ill just ask on how long should i be in the navy to join the NTOG/MTOG because thats what i want to do in the navy thankyou so much
NTOG is an elite tactical team. You will need to be enrolled, complete BMQ (Basic Training), NETP (Naval Environmental Training), and Occupational training. You will want to volunteer for as many additional training courses and deployment opportunities as possible for experience, like Boarding Party training and Naval Security Team deployments. Then you could be considered for NTOG. It will take a few years, but it's a great goal, good luck!!
damn, I didn’t know that was that important. It is prett much everything! How do we practice patterns?
Do lots of them! If you practice you will see that the questions start to get a little repetitive and you should gradually find them easier to solve.
I need help with the dot question that official CFAT website has
Can you please recommend good resources for english and spatial ability where I can practice. I have my test in two weeks.
My recommended resources are the Forces.ca practice test, the armytest.com/navy app and the Kyra Nankivell youtube series. Links are in the description.
Thank you so much.
What rank will I get when I join with a bachelor's degree in software engineering, How long does it take to reach the rank of captain. In airforce ? ?
If you join as an Officer in the Air Force I believe you will enrol as an Officer Cadet. It may be possible to be enrolled as a higher rank if you have previous military experience and relevant training. The time it takes to be promoted varies, I am more familiar with the Navy Reserve where it will usually take 5-8 years to be promoted to Lt(N) (equivalent to Captain in Air Force).
Scored big 0 lol and they told me you did not scored even a pass marks . re write again next month .
Good luck on your re-write!
@@PrairieSailor failed again 3rd re write lol
@@mowglisingh7894 I'm sorry to hear that. You can request a re-write waiver for another shot.
No rush take your time
Keep studying
you can skip cfat if you do have the qualification or the job is on demend right? that's what it says on the website
Yes, I’m working on a new video with the details. Not all “in demand” jobs let you skip, it has to say “expedited application trial”.
Any updates?
No updates yet I’m having a hard time with reference since some job don’t provide references
If the staff looks at you and says, "See? Fat," you're going to fail.
Bonjours monsieur est ce que vous pouvez nous aider avec des vidéos en format française.
If I join with a bachelor's degree, what rank will I get with the Navy and how many years do I need to get the rank of captain?
If you join with a Bachelors degree you qualify to be an Officer and will start at Naval Cadet. First promotion is to Acting Sub-Lieutenant. Captain is a much higher rank in the Navy than in the Army or Air Force, you would be lucky to achieve that at any point in your career. Lieutenant (Navy) is equivalent to an Army or Air Force Captain, and takes an average of 5-6 years I would say.
Thank so much Sir @@PrairieSailor
