They have fought off many intruding Lions; killed huge buffalo's; navigated massive traffic jams and endured the presence of many unconsidered tourists without fear.....
Then what scares them? Watch this video and find out!
Filmed on the H1-3 close to the N'wanetsi River in Kruger National Park.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
    - When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
    - If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
    - The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
    - Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
    - Never go off the designated roads
    - Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
    - Don’t hoot or blare loud music
    - Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
    - During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
    - Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
    - Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

They heard on the news that anti poachers killed a Leopard called Hosana . Wise lions .

    • @MyAfricaAdventures
      @MyAfricaAdventures  2 года назад +25

On Friday, 6 May 2022, the Sabi Sand Game Reserve social media pages released a statement confirming that an adult male leopard, believed to be Hosana, had “ambushed” an anti-poaching unit (APU) patrolling a drainage line at dusk. They “responded in self-defence resulting in the leopard losing its life”. Africa Geographic immediately reached out to the Sabi Sand authorities to request further information about the date of the incident and a detailed explanation of the circumstances that led to the leopard’s death. AG also asked for images to confirm that the leopard was, as the statement suggested, Hosana. AG had not yet received a response at the time of publication but will update this article as and when one is forthcoming. None of our other sources were able to confirm conclusively that the leopard was Hosana (through images). However, we can safely assume that it was Hosana as the Sabi Sand authorities would not have invited the inevitable outcry without cause.
The unfortunate use of the word “ambushed” was a poor choice and seemed to imply that Hosana set out to do deliberate harm to the APU. Of course, leopards can and do hunt people on rare occasions (and assuming the leopard wouldn’t hurt people just because it was Hosana is anthropomorphism at its worst). Perhaps this was precisely what happened, but such opportunistic attacks on people are unusual. It seems highly unlikely that Hosana would target a group, especially given his history of being tracked on foot.
The first statement noted that “a full investigation” had been carried out, and it was concluded that all safety protocols were adhered to. However, a second statement was issued on 8th May, stating that the Sabi Sand authorities had conducted “preliminary investigations”, “will be engaging further with the contracted Anti Poaching Unit”, and “are conducting a full investigation”. They confirm that a more detailed statement will be forthcoming.

You know they have to live a hard life as is!! They should not have to worry about snares, or being poisoned also!! Their life is hard enough without the humans adding more stress to them. That leaves me questioning so much!! Watching their reaction to the open vehicle brought tears to my eyes. So sad that these beautiful animals are killed for their Beauty!! It is enough to make one sick on their stomach. People say we should not put human emotion on animals. If we don't then I'm afraid they will never have a chance to be wild and live on. There numbers are at a all time low. Since the pandemic their numbers have not been better they have gotten worse. Too many have come up just gone!! No trace, no clues?? I do not understand why?? It just doesn't add up!!
Thank you for sharing this with us!! Bless all of God's creations!! We are the only ones that can help them if we will?? Thank you for all you do!! I have mad respect for those who do not put pressure on our wildlife!!

I was going exactly where Fill&Finish went with my response. Not only did these stunning boys hear about Hosana the leopards death by way of the anti-poaching team which occurred at dusk, some questioned why they were operating at dusk, but, Queen Thandi the leopardess of Djuma, a relative of Hosanas, either his aunt or sister, was found dead at some point after she was being filmed walking down the middle of the road through the territory of which the Naturalist was filming her stated that no other predators were seen or observed in the area at the time. On that particular drive, animals weren't out and about, the Naturalist were actually having a difficult time locating sights to bring to us and there was a weirdness about that particular segment, not to mention that the female Naturalist wasn't acting as if she was really looking for sightings, she spent majority of her time sitting in the same area, talking and she acknowledged that something was thrashing about in the bushes, yet, she never went to check out what was thrashing about in the bushes which I thought was very strange due to her job duty was to bring followers sightings. She had absolutely no interest in finding out what was thrashing around in the tall bushes, yet, she spent plenty of time relaxing in the same spot, taking in the beauty of the sky and the environment. The next morning, during the drive followers were informed of Queen Thandi's demise. We were told that she had received wounds to her throat that suggested suffocation and speculation of possible case scenarios were thrown out to us to control the narrative. I asked WE, "did you all find Queen Thandi deceased in the tall grass where the Naturalist heard thrashing sounds in the tall bushes," WE never responded to my question or others.WE never respond to followers when questions are asked when animals end up dead/murdered or disappear without a trace, like Tinyo the lion, he disappeared in thin air without a trace while he was with lion cubs and a few of the pride lionesses when separated from his coalition partner and other pride members. I have received a little backlash in the past for posting that there are wicked, evil staffers working on the reserves who are more concerned with profiting frim these animals vs protecting them and that some working on the reserves are infiltrators, there to do harm to these precious creatures. Four poachers were arrested on two occasions during April, 2022 in Kruger. Two Kruger Field Officers Daniel Maluke and Solly Ubisi were remanded for money laundering, giving information to poachers that would lead them through routes to be likely undetected to reach animals, etc... in April, 2022, all of this info can be googled, it's online. Casper and brothers heard the word that staffers on the reserves have become bigger threats vs rival predators in certain areas of Kruger. I am confident in that more wicked, evil Kruger Reserve Employees will be remanded by Skuzu Magistrate Court. I agree with you in that Casper and brothers reactions when they heard and saw that vehicle is definitely a sign of something not being right. The enemy is usually found within the camp. It was great to see the brothers looking good and relaxing and I'm even happier to know that they got the word to be alert. They didn't waste any time heading for cover, great video!

There have been more big cat deaths from AP than poachers in the last 2 years and guess what Casper and brothers sense it. They know to run when they see them. Furthermore, they see AP they sense that some AP are on the take because poachers show up and kill them while AP stand off and watch.
As for Hosana. One of the AP that was there said it was a warning charge. (Hosana does that all the time if you get too close) In fact there are many videos of Hosana warning charging. C'était un comportement très étrange et j'essaierai d'observer plus de comportements comme celui-ci à l'avenir. Merci d'avoir regardé.

This was very strange behaviour and will try and observe more behaviours like thit in future. Thanks for watching.

Donc votre commentaire n'a absolument aucun sens. Cordialement et merci d'avoir regardé et de votre contribution.

The fear of rangers is very important rangers sometimes patrol on foot, which is very dangerous so lions should not mistake them for prey .they scare them by shooting into the air.

Lions have a natural fear of humans because they have been hunted down for thousands of years by them! They react very quickly to things in their hapitat that looks different to them ex. an open car with people on top!!! It´s their survivor instinct!
