Magnifique! Bravo les pilotes🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
have we ever thought of doing a B52 video?? be awesome, and different too! I'd love to see that one.
@@1955mouse We haven't really filmed any military planes... we have a fully loaded schedule doing this so I guess we have to leave that to someone else...
@@justplanes that's fine, only a suggestion although it would be pretty cool! , anyway, I'll keep watching, no stopping now! thanx!
Hand flying a 737. Doesn't get any better than that.
Great vlog! I have never seen THREE altimeters! Mamma Mia! One in meters and two in feet.
Thank you Torgeir
Something comforting hearing the freight fights go overhead when I'm tucked up in bed during the night. Used to be newspapers being distributed throughout the UK during the night not too long ago
Whhen I was a kid it was the steam engines on the coal and newspaper trains!
@@gharwood1356 and the Mail trains obviously
I really enjoy the night flight videos. Thanks for featuring one.
Thank you
What a nice , soft landing: Bravo to the 2 pilots 🙏🙏🙏
This has to be the easiest airplane in the world to land.
@@CockpitScenes Do you pilot one of these?
Very nice job. It's a pure joy to steer a 737 CL with its typical Vapp around 120-130 and a smooth response to the control inputs. A pure pilot's plane. They don't build it like this anymore.
Sharp hand flying this guy is a legend
Excellent video. Nice smooth landing and it didn't take very long to slow the aircraft to make the right turn. Kudos to the pilots.
Thank you
JP......What a beautiful views inside and outside !
This is JP Style......very professional! Many thanks!
Stay Connected and have a great weekend;)
Lovely greetings Betsy.
Thanks very much Betsy!
You make such amazing videos love them thanku love an God bless x
You are too kind Wendy, thanks very much!
These are the people that keep the world moving while we sleep
but also waking some of us who live right next to an airport. but other than that

Best profession ever! 😍
Awesome landing, smooooth;-))
Thank you
It was me so thank you 🙂
im bored with "smartphone" like cockpit. this is better.
Fully agree! We will miss these when they are gone!
That's a lot of hand flying ❤❤❤. Anyone noticed why the landing gear in transit light (red light) turned on around 7:18 and remained on until the gears were down?
Normal on CL.
Thrust levers was reduced to IDLE.
The red lights will come on if either thrust lever is reduced to IDLE and the LDG gear is not down & locked.
Thanks for this terrific video! Impressive flight crew ... captain really greased that landing. 😊
Thanks very much!
Looks like Neo from The Matrix flying :)
I prefer old 737-300 or 400 than current 737-max❗️😁 I like old needle type meters 😁❗️
Interesting to see these guys using level change for the descent!
👍
Fantastic👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
Merci pour ce moment
Avec plaisir
nice onde! i just love the 300/400/500 series...
Easy to fly because they are SO slow.
Yes totally agree
@@CockpitScenes Slow? They have a normal cruise speed of around 400 kts
@@Kelvin-ed6ce Normal cruise speed for a classic 737 is about M74-M75. A normal jet like the 727 (which first flew about 1963) and the 737NG cruises at about M.80. It is a real pain for ATC to slot a classic in with normal traffic because they are going so slow. But my point was not about cruise speed, but approach speed. It is much lower than a 737NG (except the -700), and that makes it easier to land. The 737 classic is probably the easiest plane to land I have ever flown.
@@CockpitScenes wow, interesting. So the 200 and 100 series also have a very low speed like the 300-500 series ? Like 120-130 kts?
Thought I was at work when I saw the video thumbnail😅
Nice vid🤙
:) thank you John
Flew 737 400 this summer, couldn't believe some companies still operate 32 year aircraft. As a bonus we had boiling kettle sound at the takeoff and landing (altitude change)😂🤦
But nice video❤ enjoyed
I d'ont understand. Reverses are prohibited at night in Marseille because of noise. I’ve already landed at night on this field (Air post - Aéropostale) and we’re forced to use autobrake.
Have the restrictions changed?

Almost 4000 fpm, awesome :D
Flying cargo seems much more relaxing than flying passengers 😁
For a short flight like this, the pilot and first officer will probably be the only people on board. From those here who have flown cargo, do longer flights / larger planes ever have 'cabin crew'? Some have limited passenger capacity (747, 777, etc.), so could have cabin crew, but I'm talking about the pure cargo aircraft.
It actually is a lot more relaxing to have no passengers on a plane :)
There is no cabin crew, short or long haul whatsoever.
On Long Haul flight/ wide body with a 747, typically you would have a crew of 2 or 3 pilots ( 3 for very long flight ), a loadmaster on board that would do the kitchen service (sort the catering boxes, put in oven) and one engineer (if needed in the case of not having dedicated maintenance at the destination to check aircraft and sign paperwork, he will help the loadmaster for the catering).
On short haul / narrow body aircraft, if there is no loadmaster, crew is doing everything by themselves = just get their food when cruising, and if they are even entitled to catering depending of the flight duty time. They will always have drinks and coffee available of course.
@@KrakenUnleashed Good information. Thanks!
good video and good job 👍...French pilots ...😉
Thanks Xavier
Awesome👍👍👍😊
Thank you
Don't stop uploading videos about aviation.
Ohhhhhhhh
The Standby Altimeter it´s not too accurate. Hope the main do not fail.
It is not electronically corrected. That's why they call it standby.
good job and video 👍 ..French pilots ...😉
That Captain needs to find some gravitas and presence. Sounds like a wimp.
7:18 Red landing gear lights illuminate, why?
Because thrust levers are retarded to idle at this moment and landing gear is not yet down and locked
@@aerolove71 thank you, I found out in the meantime :-). It's a difference with the NG/MAX where the gear lights don't illuminate red when the thrust levers are retarded.
Idle thrust and no gear down.
Why so many altimeters? 2:06 ?
Top left main main altimeter, to the right standby, underneath is the VSI and to the right the altimeter is Meters, in case of flights to Russia or China where Meters are used.
Two feet altimeters side by side showing different with same baro set
Quite normal, they are not identical in the way they work, the standby doesn’t have to be super accurate.

Very nice Jeff
When the plane is going down the runway on take off what keeps the nose wheel straight and stop it veering left or right?
As already mentioned, on takeoff and landing, the rudder pedals help with small nosewheel movements at lower speeds and the actual rudder (yaw movement) at higher speeds. On taxi, the tiller is used as it provides the best maneuverability.
Such complex, puzzled and old style cockpit! Not for the one who likes Airbus A350!
Designed in the sixties.
¿ Y la rubia del cockpit ?
Why 3 altimeters
is this a passenger plane that's being converted as a cargo?
Yes. This specific aircraft was delivered to Aeroflot in 1998, was transferred to Garuda in 2004, and in 2012 it was transferred to TNT (now ASL) and converted into a freighter.
Vintage bird
Added subtitle english please
like si pensaste que era neo de matrix xd
Why 2 altimeters (in feet) on left side of panel?
The left altimeter is the Main altimeter.
The right altimeter is for Standby.
@@Sapient1989 Thanks
The minimum is different between the first officer and plane. Weird!
