Walking down NARCISO STREET just a few blocks away from Kandi where I stay to buy a few food items from the friendly FOD STREET VENDORS along the way. First, we stop at the street stall of DANG & DANG (D'Mamangan Eatery) and Dang shows me the lunch choices for the day. I choose SISIG (chicken liver with pork face parts with onions and peppers), rice, and beef soup (BULALO). In addition, I take home some FRIED EGG PLANT and PORK CALDERETA. Total cost is 205 pesos (3.50 USD) including the take-out meal!😮 Next, we see Arnow who sells an ice-cold glass of fresh coconut juice for 10 pesos (0.20 USD). 😮 Last up is Ray, who, similar to Thailand and Dominican Republic, is selling fresh pineapple and watermelon. Her cuts both up into bite-sized chunks and the whole lot is 90 pesos (1.50 USD)😮 just goes to show, if you know where to look, good, fresh food at a GOOD PRICE is not too hard to find!
