Thank you guys for highlighting the beauty of the Philippines including my birthplace, Davao City. I'm so jealous! The last time I've been in Davao was 1989. Quite a long time ago. I've been living in California, USA since but misses the country.

Yes very much so. It's because of then Mayor Duterte which you also mentioned in your vlog, transformed the city to what it is now, and the country to some extent. Back then there was a lot of crimes and insurgencies. Today, I can see how progressive it is and the economy seems to have improved a lot and people seem more disciplined. As travelers, if you happen to venture out in the US particularly in Los Angeles, hit me up and I'd like to meet you and thank you personally.@@DodoExplorers
U cant miss it that much if u havent been back since 1989. Davao is better than Manila but... hasnt got alot to offer tourists. Just Malls and food.

Tocino is a cured meat usually from pork. The bright red color is mix of the marinade and food coloring. It’s a popular Filipino dish usually eaten for breakfast along garlic rice and fried egg. :)
